Journeyman’s has poisoned the town water the distillery has ruined the water system in three oaks Michigan!!! We can not drink bathe or water our pets it’s all about getting that Chicago money !! This will come back on you !! Poisonings the town really greed and evil will always be brought to light always !

Great place & vibe. Love the energy. Amazing drink selection, and food was awesome. Johnny our waiter was very knowledgeable & helpful in what drinks to order, and they were great! We will definitely be back!

Went today- the apple bourbon cake was phenomenal and we enjoyed a couple whiskey flights. Our server, Amber, was wonderful!

The salad was excellent. The Detroit meets Italy pizza crust was very tough. The ribs were tender but dry. Almost no sauce. Service was fair. Barrel aged old fashioned, was not the best I've had.

This was such a unique and special visit on our vacation. The food was average, but every drink and house made spirit was off the charts good. Service was impeccable and we loved the mini golf putting green!

1st time here and just wasn't that impressed. Pretzel was really good but cheese and mustard was not to my liking. Ordered the burger and was pretty good. Granddaughter had the Nashville chicken sandwich and she said it wasn't hot at all. Serves wasn't that great at all. They were not that busy but had to flag our server down multiple times for refills, sauces we ordered with our food and waited over 10 minutes for a mix drink that we watched the bar tender make and it sat there until we flagged our server down. Maybe we just went on a bad night but we can say we've been there.

This place made date night lots of fun!

I went in it was not particularly crowded. I asked a friendly host if I could make a food order and he said to go to the bar to make it. I went and sat at the bar, It wasn't crowded at all in both bartenders were catering to one couple each I sat there for 10 minutes they never looked at me or asked me what I wanted. So unfortunately I left without getting any service.

Just stopped in for a (Very good) drink, but after seeing the whole production- food, drink menu, whiskies and other liquors available for purchase- we hafta make a beeline for that place next time we're in the area. Tesla Destination chargers available for free out back, too! How nice is that?

Place sucks. Drinks and food sucked. Atmosphere was cool.

Great place for friends and families to visit. They have a good variety of flavours, vegetarian options, and gluten-free options, too. The food portions are a good size and you will definitely be satisfied. They have a super selection of cocktails, too. You will find your favourite cocktails as well as some bespoke whisky cocktials that are cleverly crafted. The staff were friendly, and the service was great. It's definitely worth the visit.

Absolutely fantastic! Did a guided tour + tasting with the folks the other day and had a blast! I expected the tour to take us to the public-facing parts of the distillery, maybe see some stills and barrels behind glass. Nope! We got to go see the stills up close and watch the hand bottling process. Our tour guide was very jovial (and very gracious once the alcohol started hitting our empty stomachs and we all got a bit giggly) and he had the history of both the company and the building memorized very thoroughly, although he got a bit surprised when my dad mentioned having reroofed the place back in '86. He also knew exactly where everything was sourced from and the exact temperatures process for the distilling process, and altogether the experience was like stepping into an episode of How It's Made, but with booze waiting at the end of it all. We also hit up the restaurant portion afterwards, and it was delicious. As it was my parents' anniversary, they were given a complimentary dessert. I've been a huge fan of their Featherbone for a while, and I'm very glad the distillery is as wonderful as the drinks.

There were 20 of us and they accommodated us flawlessly! The kiddos had so much fun miniature golfing and playing bags, while the adults had fun inside!! The drinks were fabulous, as well as the food and atmosphere!

Had a great lunch here with my wife during a recent art festival in the area. Food was great. If you go you have got to try their Root Beer Float. Hands down, the absolute best I have ever had.

The tour was well worth the $15 and Ed was a fantastic guide. Their liquor catalog is simply exceptional.

We were here visiting the dunes-stopped for dinner and some drinks. Our server Trisha was amazing and knowledgeable. Our food was amazing!! Coming back to the dunes in a couple months and we will be back for dinner!!!

I ordered a chicken Cesar salad, chicken was very dry, I asked for more dressing and was charged $2.00. White blend wine $15.00. Not that good and not a great pour.. very disappointed.. I won’t be back for food or wine..

A chill but large distillery in a small town. Good food and service.

My husband and I stopped here on the way home from a weekend vacation. Needless to say, we left with a lot of bottles of alcohol. We bought bottles of the coffee liqueur, lemoncello, and O.C.G apple cider. The flights were fun and we were able to try a lot. We got the Detroit style breakfast pizza. It definitely soaked up all that we drank in a nice way. The Nigroni here is good but strong, mostly due to their gin.

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, MI. While there were some bump along the road throughout the wedding planning process with communication, everything came together perfectly. Over the course of the last month, I was in direct contact with Kaley, their event manager. She was also on site that day to assist if needed. Both her and the day of manger were constantly checking in on me and my bridal party as we were getting ready. I felt very taken care of! The food and drinks were amazing as well! I love that we got to have good cocktails that were included in the entire price without an extra charge. The food was amazing as well! I heard of no complaints of cold food or wrong items. The serving staff and bartenders were very attentive as well. Overall I would recommend Journeyman to hold your wedding at as its beautiful, has great food/drinks and is insanely affordable!!

During multiple visits we've been greeted by enthusiastic employees who enjoy their jobs and share with passion. Last one during Art attack weekend for liquors presentation and tasting. Loved the Limoncello. Art Attack weekend 2024 for Southwest Michigan didn't disappoint. Owner Bill and Jacob were so generous with their knowledge and passion.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with 4 adults and 4 kids. Had the wings, Brussel sprouts, pizza, caesars salad and kids mac and cheese. All the food was delicious and the kids all ate well. The whiskey flight was a good tasting to see what you like. On top of all that. service was top notch. I would definitely recommend it as a good spot to go with family and friends.

Blood Pressure drink is to die for Our first visit we tried the whiskey flight and the Silver Cross whiskey was the most flavorful. We also tried the Blood Pressure mixed drink with the feather one bourbon and a blood orange ice cube. It was fantastic. Food is just ok. The service was super good! We will come again if we come through here again!!

I guess this is just a wedding business now. They reduced their menu options, got rid of their vegetarian options, and the pizza went way down in quality. Service is terrible. They have to serve the hoards of wedding guests there to do shots at the bar and don't have the time for you. While you're eating there will be brides and bridal parties walking around and tons of screaming in the actual restaurant (from the wedding guests that are just upstairs or at the bars).

This was our 1st visit. The restaurant appeared very large and believe they were still in the furniture/decore stages. That was not a problem at all. My husband & I sat at the bar which was mostly full of patrons and were greeted immediately. We ordered the Trout cheese spread. It was very good. The bread they served with it was warm. We ordered the Specialty Flight with a cost of $6. Each taste was very good but included barely a sip in each. We recommend ordering 2 for $12 for a better tasting experience. We shared the Smashburger w/seasoned fries. The burger was beyond amazing. One of the most flavorful we've had. Highly recommend and we will definitely visit again.

I ordered the cracklings with full knowledge that i was likely to be disappointed. I ate some of them because for 9$, i wouldn't let it all go to waste. These are pork rinds, and they were not anything special. I also ordered a pizza. It's enough for one person if you're hungry, maybe 2 people. The pizza again was another letdown tough, not much flavor. Many pizzas in the frozen food isle would blow this one away. Drinks and atmosphere are good. The building is pretty neat.

The corn fritters were good. The chicken sandwich was just ok, the chicken was dry and not seasoned. The lemcello pie was good. The drink was excellent. I would go back for appetizers and drinks. I like the physical space.

Long story short, on every front, serive terrible. Menu selection? Terrible. Live in Valpo, even in 10 years I'll never come back. The experience has been so sub par I don't think it will ever recover. Just brew the cheap well whiskey you brew and leave it at that. Sucks! Sucks! Sucks! 1 hour on and I still don't have my order in. Literally leaving now to go somewhere else. Update: Manager offered to pay for drinks. Nope, I won't be bought off, I'm paying for my drinks, you simply lost a customer forever.

Journeyman succeeded in giving us a wedding day we will always remember. Unfortunately every memory we have is soured by the negligence of the management. Not only was the inside of the “distillery room” 90 Degree because the air condition was broken but the owner Joanna then told us “this is normally how this room is”. Our photographer who has been to this venue many different times, including in the summer confirmed it has never been that uncomfortable in this building. Fans and portable air conditioners had to be brought in. but after everything the owners never offered and apology or anything. after it was all said and done we had a good time. 18 months later we drive the 3 hour round trip back to journeyman. so we can pick up our guest book, a signed whiskey barrel. When we first arrive no barrel is to be found. Once someone from the warehouse brings the barrel to us, it turns out to be the wrong one. Now our guestbook is lost forever. We were told they will try and find it and it might take a couple weeks. Nothing but lies and disappointment.

Friendly casual dining a little experience, but very good food.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous! And not just cuz I’m biased but it was the best wedding food I’ve ever had! Our day was absolutely magical and I wish I could relive it again. The food and bar staff on our wedding day were 10/10 outstanding! They were all quick working and super friendly. My husband and I felt the event planner and communication aspect could have been better. We were tossed around to different event planners initially and finally had one “assigned” to us, Corrine, who was rather difficult to communicate with. Sometimes emails went unanswered for weeks and we didn’t have a direct phone number to reach her. There were things that went unannounced like, filet mignon was an extra $5/plate but that’s not in the brochure or mentioned until we get our food counts back. Also, we were never told about a kids menu so we assumed kids eat a smaller portion of the main entrees. Again, after we got our food selections from our guests we were told about this kids menu and had to let our guests know of the change. Overall, we felt ignored and like a burden rather than a welcomed guest. It’s the first time my husband and I experienced planning a wedding and were looking for more guidance from the Corrine but we mostly navigated the entire process ourself. I asked several times to meet in person or at least via zoom so we could meet face-to-face, which never happened. I never even met her until our reception around 9pm when she finally came to introduce herself to me. I found that odd on the day of our wedding, meeting the person that was supposed to help us during the months of planning before hand. Just not very personable. As a bride, you hope to have someone with knowledge and experience to handhold you through the entire process. She also told us we could set up the night before and while setting up, a woman working downstairs sternly walked up to me asking who we are and why we were there. Apparently the venue didn’t know we got permission to set up. I was told there would be people directing guests on the day of the wedding since our ceremony was downstairs but our reception was upstairs, with another wedding happening at the same time as ours. Before the ceremony I was hiding upstairs in our reception area and guests were coming in by me saying they didn’t know where to go and the sign downstairs pointed upstairs guiding them to our wedding. I had to ask my sister in law to go investigate this sign situation since we didn’t have our event planner around to assist. The other wedding that was supposed to happen the same day apparently canceled and we were not made aware of this or even offered the bridal suite to use. The other bride had claimed it before me but then wasn’t there anyway. These are just some highlights of our experience. I definitely recommend this venue for the beauty, amazing food, and the attentive food and bar service staff but be prepared to navigate this process alone and feel like a burden planning the most important day of your life.

Stopped in for lunch on New Year’s Eve. Our server, Stephanie was outstanding! Can’t beat the Old Fashioned cocktail! The OCG Turkey Club and potato salad were terrific!

My go to spot for lunch in Three Oaks. Top notch drink menu and food. The space is beautifully restored and the service is warm and efficient. All ages are welcome. Pro tip: call ahead for a reservation to avoid having to wait for a table.

Amazing service. Great craft coctails and food. We had the Cesar salad and Club sandwich. Both were delicious. We had 4 craft coctails, all were seasonal flavors and well balanced. The straight whiskey pours were also enjoyable. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. All in all an exceptional experience!

We did the distiller's tour and had an early dinner at the restaurant. Tour was very interesting and entertaining. Learned a bunch! Tyler was an excellent guide and host *Top notch! At dinner my Wife had the airline chicken and I the burger n fries. Both tasted wonderful, chef nailed 'em. Was there 2.5-3hrs. Encountered staff at all levels and all of them were great. Thank you all again and a well earned 5(+) star from us. What an outstanding date and wished I would have grabbed more than one photo

Food, Drinks and atmosphere are top notch. Their Sunday brunch is a must and their Bloody Mary mix is some of the best we’ve had. We are huge supporters of their spirits (do the tour if you can!) and the amazing food is a bonus. Their staff is also always so great! Go with time to spare to enjoy the experience.

We had the BEST experience here. We were driving through the area and a friend recommended stopping by. In addition to having great drinks (whiskey flights and old fashioneds were excellent) the food was shockingly awesome too. We were so impressed. ALL the staff was fantastic - kind, knowledgeable, enthusiastic. In particular Johnny was amazing. We left with several bottles of whiskey and are already planning when we will return next! Did the distillers tour and had a blast. Really like the history of the building and the added straight from the barrel tastings. Will definitely be back for another tour sometime.

It's such an awesome place! They have great food and drinks! Their wedding venue is beautiful. Plus, the flat, which is an air bnb type spot two doors down, is so convenient for a wedding party to stay at and so beautiful! We loved our stay there! Keep up the great work!

The Halloween event was a joke. Over $40 on drink tickets and then went down to eat and the Halloween event closed and couldn't get reimbursed the funds for the drink tickets. Was told to come back and get drinks; however I don't live in the area. A reimbursement would have been much better suited.

Step is a funny , thrilling and driven man and it was a pleasure to be at his bar this afternoon. He was determined to give me the best experience possible and it was. The drinks were balanced and smooth and the vibe was uplifting and very energetic. Great place , good music beautiful set up , clean and the food smells WONDERFUL. There is a location opening up closer to home but I loved the service I had today at the Three oaks location. I will be back.

My husband, two sons, age 13 and 10, and I arrived at 7:30 pm and walked to the host desk where there were no other customers waiting. I waited for three of the employees to stop their conversation long enough to look up and acknowledge us. There were two female and one male employees. One female host told us that there would be a 45 minute wait for our party even though at first glance, the restaurant appeared half empty. It seems that she thought that would deter us, but we had been driving from Chicago for the last two hours and had had a good experience at the restaurant once before, so we put in our name. We also assumed that the 45 minute time was an exaggeration as there were so many empty tables. We proceeded to wait 40 minutes while during this time, 1.) I was able to count over 60 available seats, 2.) five parties left, 3.) ONLY one other table of four was seated, 4.) one of the three original employees who were chatting stood behind the counter repeatedly wiping invisible spots from menus. I also noticed several servers walking around and chatting with little concern. Others diners were also very obviously looking at us as we were the only customers during the 40 minutes who were waiting or who had even arrived. It was at this time that I walked over to the menu-wiping employee and asked her if we had any hope of getting seated or if we should leave. She rolled her eyes at me and went to answer the phone that was promptly answered by the other host at the main desk. The "menu" employee then walked away from me and brought over a male employee, again one of the original three chatters. He walked me to the tablet and started scrolling through as he "explained" the "intricacies" of seating people. He pointed out that there were four tables reserved for a 20 person party. I asked about the other 40 open seats and he again began to "explain" some nonsense about assigning staff to tables. By the way, even if it was true that your staff was gearing up for a 20 person party, and let's say those were the only four tables available in the entire restaurant, my family still could have eaten and left before that party arrived. I asked if we should just leave at which point he told me, based on no obvious evidence, that it would be a  longer wait and so we should make a decision. Basically telling us to go ahead and leave.

We had the privilege of having lunch here today. It was not only a great lunch but, a wonderful experience. We tried a flight of amazing whiskies, rums and other flavored drinks and enjoyed them all. We also had an amazing waitress named Gloria she was very kind and took such good care of us.

Our burgers, with the added bacon, were delicious. Skip or share the fries. The house salad is enough for two. Simple yet delicious. For drinks I had the foofoo drink called the Pain Killer. Delicious if you like all the ingredients listed. Hubby liked the first whiskey of the cask flight. Our waitress, Gloria, was fantastic. We didn't try their putt-putt golf course. We noted several patrons with clubs headed out to putt-putt.

We were able to walk to the Journeyman Distillery from our charming airbnb in Three Oaks. We made a reservation online which seemed to be necessary, even on a Thursday night. It was a lively place with very good service. We were excited to try the sampler of what the distillery made. There were four choices of flights, with 1/4 of an ounce in each of the six glasses. They had a long notecard that described each of the alcohols. For dinner I had a delicious trout with crushed pistachios, olives and arugula. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich which was good but not fantastic. We were given a sample of their new orangecello liqueur. We loved it and bought a bottle to take home. They have a little shop at the entrance of the restaurant. There is a variety of alcohols you can buy in glass bottles with charming labels, too many to choose from.

Been here several times. The place never disappoints me. The food and drinks are always amazing. The waiters/waitresses are always polite and really know what's on the menu. If you are in the area it is a must stop in. Plus they have a tasting room connected to the restaurant.

We did the tour with Tyler and it was awesome! Tons of knowledge and you can tell everyone loves their job there which really makes a difference. We will be back for sure. Food was great. Drinks were great. Everyone very friendly.

I have been a big fan of Journeyman since first my sip. Finally being able to experience the distillery furthered my belief that Journeyman Distillery produces some of the finest sprits created each year. The Tour was simple, to the point and intimate. Walking in, looking around, you cannot help be impressed by what they have done with a historic building. While also chuckling at the nods and jabs to those that have come before.

Fun place to share with company. Love the whiskey tours,lunch and the golf out back.

It was crazy packed when I went which is a good sign. Just came in to purchase a few bottles of their amazing products. The staff is ultra friendly and knowledgeable and their spirits are second to none.

Journeyman Distillery is one of our favorite places to go….always amazing food, unique drinks & incredible service!!! We love to go w/ friends & enjoy a few hrs sitting @ the bar trying their new drink creations & tasty treats.

The Jouneyman is not close to where I live, but I am always up for the drive. I love this place! The pizza is to die for, one of a kind with the blue cheese and olives. My personal favorite drink is the OCG. The building is rich with history which is a fun fact too.

I’ve been going to Journeyman since they opened. Greatest cocktails of all time. Love the Buggy Whip Wheat and Last Feather Rye. Their gin is outstanding as well!

The food was good, service was very friendly and proactive, but to be honest the cocktails were very underwhelming. Why are you serving an old fashioned in that weird tapered glass? And it wasn’t even a very good old fashioned. Very mid. Maybe I should have just got the flight of whiskey. Check the photo - that is the glass to use!

Usually when you dine at a brew pub or distillery the food is often sub par - not so here. They have delicious drinks and food and ambience is great!!!!
