We have enjoyed Jujube for years, and the experience has stayed consistently high. The ambiance is wonderful, service excellent, and the food exceptional.

It has been a while since we had been to Jujube, typically going to the sister restaurant JuJu in Durham. We were quickly reminded how much we enjoyed Jujube, being kindly welcomed when we entered by the manager. We ordered dumplings, Brussels, oysters, Arancini and their bolognese and couldn’t have been more pleased. Highly recommend!

Today, I had the pleasure of attending Jujube's exquisite 5 Course Dinner, a celebration of summer's freshest ingredients. The menu, expertly crafted by Jujube's Head Chef Nadia, was accompanied by perfectly paired wines, vermouths, and sake that elevated the dining experience to new heights. Chef Nadia's talent for pairing food and wine was truly impressive, and each dish left a lasting impression on my palate. The attention to detail and care that went into creating each course was evident, and I found myself transported to different parts of the world with every bite. Despite being her debut as Head Chef, Chef Nadia showcased a level of skill and creativity that rivaled many Michelin-starred restaurants. Her commitment to providing the ultimate food experience was apparent in every aspect of the meal. The seamless harmony between the food and wine, coupled with impeccable service, made for a dining experience that exceeded all expectations. Each dish left me craving more, and I could feel the passion and dedication that went into preparing every bite. In all my culinary adventures since moving to the Triangle from Washington DC, this has been the standout experience. Chef Nadia's talent and the overall excellence of the meal have set a new standard for fine dining in the area. I have no doubt that Chef Nadia will soon be recognized among the culinary greats, and I feel fortunate to have experienced her talent firsthand.

I attended the Summer Harvest wine dinner last night and it was incredible! Each dish was thoughtfully curated with an amazing wine pairing to match. It was a wonderful experience for a summer night. The dinner began with peach tree oysters with a cucumber mignonette. The next course was goat cheese and peach dumplings followed up with a cucumber soup as a palate cleanser. The main entree was phenomenal and hands down, the absolutely BEST Wagyu short rib I have ever had in my life. It was well marbleized and melt in your mouth tender. I am still dreaming about it! The sweet potato purée with the black tiger shrimp was heavenly! Lastly, the peach sponge cake was the perfect ending to an exceptional culinary experience. It was a delightful pleasure to enjoy the foods of Chef Nadia! The owner, Suzie, also welcomed each guest with a beautiful smile and open arms. Thank you, Chef Nadia for a great night!

Warm, welcoming atmosphere and food is out of this world.

The food for our tasting menu was superbly organized and prepared, from amuse bouche (fresh oysters with mignonette sauce), to dessert (peach and asian pear). In the middle was cold cucumber soup with basil-infused oil, then the main of waygu short ribs accompanied with roasted tiger shrimp. Everything well seasoned, elegantly presented. Each course featured a different wine that was perfectly matched with food. I could not give our experience a higher rating.

Jujube was fantastic as usual. I've been a long time patron here, but it never fails to impress. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!

Ribs and Duck dishes were excellent - Amanica rice appetizer was great and tasty staff was exceptionally good - service excellent good variety in menu

Been going here for years and it’s generally a four star review. The last couple of times, though, there’s a sense of slippage in food quality, menu variety, and value. All restaurants are struggling with costs, but $100+ for three appetizers and two drinks did seem a bit over the top, especially considering the lower quality of their formerly quite good fried calamari. The dumplings were as well pretty lackluster. We’re gonna cross this one off the list but give the Durham location a try.

Cameron our service person was very good at making recommendations. Everything, food, wine, service, ambiance was wonderful. Love Jujube!

My wife’s duck dish was not very good since the duck was VERY chewy.

Jujube in Chapel Hill never fails to please us! The food is delightfully flavorful, imaginatively prepared, and fresh. Barkeep Chris brings creativity and flair to ever-new cocktails. And the service is always personable and timely.

Nice evening with friend who is moving away from CH. Everyone loved their entrees and it was pleasantly quiet in the restaurant!

Always appreciate the warm welcome and hospitality. We stuck with our old favorites this time as we have been missing the Asian flavors of Jujube in our new home town. Susie has curated not only a unique and delightfully delicious menu but also a culture of genuine community that shows in the atmosphere and service. Caring and smiling staff seem to enjoy the experience as much as the patrons. Refreshing to see!

Erica (the bartender) was our server and she did a phenomenal balancing drink orders and providing great service to the tables near the bar. The food was outstanding and was perfectly paced.

Jujube is a must-stop on a visit to Chapel Hill. Without going into details the food was perfect and the service exceptional. I am looking forward to our next trip and dining here again.

I almost don’t want to submit this review, because I wouldn’t want too many people falling in love with this place and making it hard for me to get in, but Jujube is simply too good not to share!!! We always LOVE our time here- the fabulous food (that is sincerely sensitive to allergies and other considerations), the lovely people - Suzie, Michael, Chris, Erika, etc., and the ambience that is so soothing. This is one of the best experiences you can have. Drink it in!!!

We arrived and Mike sat immediately, which was nice and Erica our waitress could not haven been more pleasant. We ordered a few small plates, Arancinni Cakes and the other one was a salad roll special - both were amazing. For our entrees we had the Jujube Bolognese, and the Beef Bulgogi. Again both were delicious and plentiful. The Beef Bulgogi was a bit spicy but the cucumber salad side helped a lot. Erica never once rushed us and we finished with the carrot cake special. All in all a really great meal. Definitely coming back.

We have not found another Jujube spot in our new town (in a way, hope we never do), so we were back again on a recent trip to Raleigh. The Kung Pao was particularly exceptional last night -- served piping hot with plenty of peanuts and perfectly prepared veggies! The dumplings and calamari never disappoint. Warm hospitality and excellent service!

Our server was excellent. Attentive and friendly. We are Gluten Free and the appetizer options were diverse and flavorful. I highly recommend the Calamari and the Oyster mushroom coconut curry soup.

Did the Mothers Day Prix fix menu and it was a lot of food! Loved being able to sample numerous appetizers - so many that we were pretty full by the time our entrees came. We took most of our entrees home. The food was delicious and service was exceptional! I am from out of town so I do not know what the normal menu is like at Jujube as this was my first time, so will be back to try it out when it is a normal day/menu.

Mother’s Day dinner definitely overpriced. $100+ mandatory 20% tip for 2 pcs of dumpling, 1 pc wonton, 1 Vietnamese salad roll, 2 pcs Brussel sprouts, 1 main course, 1 small dessert and 2 drinks. Gain $120 lost a customer

It was good. A little disappointed as it was my husband’s birthday and despite telling the host, messaging them during our meal and putting a blip on the reservation- with confirmation it was noted - no birthday recognition. :( Alas they were very busy so I suppose it wasn’t the best day

This place is amazing! Our server was incredibly kind, not to mention helpful. She answered all our questions and the service was fast. I dwfinitely reccomend the dumplings and bingsu buns.

Super yummy starters. Four types shared amongst five people. The pork belly dumplings and the fried wonton stuffed with beef short ribs and topped with a goat cheese cream were superb. Our waitress was lovely, informative, gracious, responsive. Lovely evening. Recommend!

We always enjoy our meals and time spent stt Jujube. The wait staff is very nice and attentive. The noise level is fine - don’t want to sit in a silent restaurant. 😊 We look forward to our next visit.

Food is wonderful and a nice change of pace. Service is terrific. We were there on a Wednesday and it was packed.

We were 4 couples celebrating the birthdays of the gals in the group of 8. My friend specifically mentioned the occasion to our server (as well as on the Open Table reservation.) We enjoyed cocktails before dinner, lots of wine with dinner, several small plates as well as many entrees. The server announced to us at the end, "we don't do birthdays." Very odd. This was strange as they have a dessert menu. WE WERE NOT EXPECTING FREE DESERTS. We were expecting an acknowledgement that 8 people were there to celebrate 4 birthdays. Suggestions: they could have cut up a desert into 4 for the birthday gals or presented a tiny scoop of ice cream or sorbet as a token of their appreciation of our choosing their restaurant. I am talking about a TOKEN of acknowledgement. They lost an opportunity because no doubt we would have all ordered coffee or drinks and more desert. Very disappointing. We won't be returning.

We have enjoyed take out from this restaurant but we're disappointed in the in house experience. The seat was tattered, the dumplings were mediocre though the Brussels sprouts and kale salad were divine. The service was friendly, but we had to ask for water refills and it was not that busy. Just a so-so experience.

The food was amazing and the service second to none. We were celebrating a birthday and they had no issue serving a cake we brought with us for dessert. Staff were attentive and fun! The cauliflower was to die for and the hanger steak a must have.

I would say a good dinner. Not as quiet as hoped for. But not the fault of the owners. The food was very good: Skirt Steak & Arancini (a bit overpriced) & Bolognese (perfect price and taste). $93 w tip and no drinks was a bit high. Will we go back.??? Maybe. It would be for the reason of the Bolognese alone though.

We had a wonderful post-game family dinner here. The food was excellent; unique fusion style. Wine list was great, and the drinks very well done. The dumplings were very tasty, and the brussel sprouts were yummy. The bulgogi, hangar steak with peanut sauce, and the pork bolognese were all amazing. We will definitely return soon!

Jujube in Chapel Hill is our go-to restaurant for celebrations. The food is consistently interesting and good. The service is reliably attentive and friendly. Since the pandemic the prices seem to have gone up a great deal, which may impact the frequency that we can visit, however.

It's easily one of the overhyped and worst asian places around. Let me explain 1. We requested water for kids in glasses with lids. What we get is take away box with water and straw 2. Cocktails were watered down. They could give corona run for its money. Also, who brings drinks and food to the table holding them directly in hand and not trays ? Leave alone rice, which was served in soup cup and soup spoon 3. Food is a HUGE letdown. Crispy chicken was not Crispy, Kung Pao was way too salty, Dumplings were over fried when the insta page showed that they were served steamed. Crispy cauliflower was more like raw cauliflower with some sauce. Gado Gado was tasteless as well. Clearly, they had a bad chef in.. we returned home half full 4. They are the 1st restaurant that clearly mention that they want us patrons paying in cash

The food here was really good, loved every bite. The only thing I felt was that it was missing a bit of freshness. I did have the cucumber salad but felt everything was a bit heavy. Drinks were amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

This restaurant is quaint, comfortable and if you want a great experience, make your reservations. I ate at the bar as I was solo and the Spicy Curry Mushroom Soup and their Bolognese was outstanding. It will be my go to place every time I visit Chapel Hill.

Loved everything about our evening at Jujube. Our servers were excellent, friendly, providing helpful information about choices and specials. We shared a variety of small plates with another couple which made for a wonderful meal. All so delicious it’s hard to name a favorite, but try the arancini. The flavor varies; tonight the succulent rice ball was stuffed with salmon and scallop, fried crispy on a bed of curry sauce. Relaxing atmosphere with a low noise level conducive to conversation with friends.

Better than ever! Great waitress (Alyssa) who offered adjustments for food allergies/preferences, and food was prepared perfectly. Have eaten there several times in the past (always salmon)....and my fish was always overcooked - but not this time....done just right. Restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night but not noisy. Recommend highly.

We did drinks and appetizers on Tuesday, and both were well conceived and executed. I had a lovely DIPA to accompany the special clams and chicken dumplings and my partner had their special cocktail of the night with her crispy cauliflower. A lovely evening in a lovely setting.

Very nice venue, exceptionally friendly professional staff. They were very attentive to our needs, acknowledged our celebration and left a nice card for the birthday guest. Food was excellent, nicely presented. Catered for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores. All delicious. Restaurant could have been a touch warmer for my taste.

Familiar place; excellent food and service as usual. Ate in the outside area (space between buildings). Generally this would be fine but it was very loud (metal roof) due to hard rain. But we would eat out there again for sure. Just maybe not in a rainstorm!

Very expensive, lighting wasn't warm, went for a special occasion but it didn't feel special.

Service was great and meal was very good but I was told they don't offer lettuce wraps in the winter. It is only a summer menu item. Too bad because lettuce is the best in fall, winter, and early spring. Not so good in the summer.

Jujube was one of the first restaurants I tried in the Triangle, and it has remained a favorite ever since. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is delightful, and the service is terrific. Recently, I invited a friend for a birthday dinner, and we had a wonderful evening. The restaurant staff was gracious and attentive and went out of their way to make it a special evening.

Loved our favorites, the goat cheese wontons and the bolognese. Tried a new arancini recipe which just tasted like fried food and not much other flavor. Staff is always helpful and cocktails delicious.
