Best Hibachi place ever, we love Kabuki!!

Firecracker roll was decent, and the Dragon roll was fantastic (if you like eel). Also, got the eel donburi which was a tasty and the eel was delicious. The pork loin katsu was a bit dry but overall okay.

Was very good, nice atmosphere and great food.

Could use a little update on the interior, but the food was very good, and the chef was even better. He cooked some very tasty hibachi and we would definitely go again!!! I recommend the dinner for 2. Lots of food so go hungry!

This is the kind of sushi bar you go to for the food, not the ambiance. Service was excellent, although to be fair it was a slow time. Portions were quite large. I was surprised by how thick the slices of sashimi were. Definitely good value, even if the feel is more like a diner than a sushi restaurant.

The food is great and is usually ready really quickly. Just be sure to ask for cutlery and chopsticks. I guess they are getting expensive now so they don't include them unless they know you want them.

I took my niece here after graduating from Ole Miss. This is a great restaurant. Food was wonderful. Although they didn't have many gluten free options, they did have gluten free sushi and soy sauce for my wife. It was a very entertaining experience.

I spend atleast $30 every time I go. I usually come alone and the servers are always friendly and attentive for me. Also the spring rolls are perfect! Do wish they were a little bigger though. I travel a lot for work so I try a lot of different sushi’s places and a lot of them are hit or miss. I think it’s because I compare the standard of quality and quantity to this place. Any time I’m in Oxford, I HAVE TO stop here. This is my absolute favorite sushi place I’ve been to. I have been here about six times before I made this review. Splendid service every time! Thank you. Food is always delicious and ready when stated. Ladies at counter seemed completely distracted today. Picked up for early dinner around 3:30pm. Maybe they were tired from busy lunch. Who knows? Foods worth it. Highly recommend!!!

The sushi selection is so huge and every roll I've tried has been incredible! Besides that, the waitstaff are super friendly and attentive, and the service is usually quick!

Usually, the food here is good, I especially like to get the spring rolls; however, getting meat (at least takeout) can be hit or miss. I have been eating here for about half a year now, but fairly often, the meat is undercooked and I actually now have food poisoning from the food I had yesterday. Not bad food, but be careful.

Had family in town and took him to one of our favorite spots in Oxford. They have great rolls and meals. Service is always very good and they did fantastic as job.

Horrible!!!! We did take out and the chicken hibachi was raw. When I called to let them Know the manager said he needed proof that my chicken was raw!!!! They cook all the meats together so why am I the only one that had raw chicken?!! They would not refund me my money without the chicken returned ,.. horrible service, horrible management, horrible sushi!!!

My girlfriend and I come here at least weekly, if not, biweekly. It is always such a welcoming experience. Our favorite cooks are Wayu (YU), Bill, and Putu (I don't think I spelled the names correctly). We always let them know that they don't have to give the whole experience because I'm sure that's exhausting to do all day, every day. They keep very good conversation and make sure to make our dishes with an extra helping of love. The entire staff there are really outstanding. Not to mention, all of their condiments are made in-house. Talk about some of the best yum yum sauce, garlic butter and spicy sauce in the state!

Food was plenty good, service was slow, but the thing that got me was the automatic surcharge that was added to the bill without being disclosed ahead of time and for a party of just 3. I was told it was their standard practice, but I bet a lot of people don't catch this and tip 20% on top of the silently added service charge.

I went twice in one week. The sushi was amazing. The hibachi was so good, and the service was great. My new fave spot to eat sushi.

This was probably the worst dinner ever. My dirty martini tasted like they dumped a jar of olive juice into the glass. Probable did as there was lots of olive pieces in my drink. The two rolls we ordered were so big in diameter you could barely put a piece in your mouth. One fell apart when picking up probably because it wasn't wound tight. And one slice had a piece around 2-3 inches deep. The quality of both was also lacking. The General's Chicken was bland in scorching hot sauce. How do you tell the staff that there food and drinks are absolutely terrible?

Sushi was good to very good except foe the spicy tuna roll which was poor, tough and challenging to tell that there was actually any tuna in the roll.

I love Kabuki. I always make it a point to come here at least once (maybe even twice) when I’m in town.

The food here never disappoints, always fresh and even their takeout comes in well-designed packaging. Owners, Cici and her husband, are truly some of the kindest people you'll meet. Each dining experience at this restaurant has been nothing short of delightful. We find ourselves returning as often as we can, testament to the charm and quality of Kabuki Oxford.

Our server was nice but didn't speak good English. Although it was not busy (at one point, we were the only customers), the server didn't attend to our table as well as she should have. Especially since I was forced to pay her a 15% gratitudity added to my check! Why would a server try to provide any better customer services if they know they're going to get a tip anyway? In this case, her tip was about $10.00 for 2 people. Now, the hibachi chief was the best that I had ever had. He made sure that our visit was enjoyable and the food was good as well. He's the single reason why I didn't give this establishment a thumbs down. Would I eat there again? Yes, I would give them another try, but not anytime soon. If I had to suggest anything different, it would be to modify their tip policy to suggest tip amounts and not to force your customers to pay tips at what the restaurant think it should be. We tipped the chief and would have tipped the server. Just not as much as she got. We got full and took food home, too!

this place is so good. sushi is the best in town and their shrimp fried rice is so amazing and has loads of shrimp in it. the staff is wonderful and pleasant and gives me free sauce when i forget to put it in my cart. love to get takeout from here, it’s super fast and efficient. everything i’ve had is super flavorful. thank you, Kabuki!

Worst I’ve been to as far as food quality. 99% clueless college students which explains the 4.6 rating. Apparently no experienced sushi chef. Rolls are small with too much filler. Yellowtail Sashimi was fresh enough. No sushi bar. Second rate atmosphere. Way over priced. By comparison, Mt Fugi in Tupelo has excellent sushi chef and high quality food with good portions. Everywhere I’ve eaten in Oxford is overcrowded with mind numb students, loud and over rated.

Our most favorite hibachi restaurant! The staff are super nice and courteous. They always great you with a smile and accommodate to anything you need. The food is delicious!! Their sauces are the best and meat is always cooked perfectly ~ we LOVE eating here!

Still love this place and go back frequently! We just moved here from Texas and went to Kabuki for a celebration dinner. My while family had a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was great. They had some rolls we haven't seen at other places as well. We will definitely be going back.

The food is great, the staff is alright, but, the one thing I can't look pass is that when we ordered fatty tuna sashimi, they cook it. It ruin the tuna. Edit: Thank you owner for replying but, the tuna was not seared, it was cook all the way through.

Great quality hibachi and sushi. Very talented and funny hibachi chefs that put on a great show. My son was laughing and smiling the entire time the chef was cooking for us and the food was amazing. Great cocktails as well.

Clearly this restaurant only serves well cooked food to dine-in customers! I ordered calamari, an eel roll and spicy girl roll take out. The calamari was over cooked and fried so hard it looked like onion rings from Sonic. The eel was inedible because the fin was on the pieces used in the roll. Go elsewhere for takeout!

Ordered food waited almost two hours for 5 pieces of sushi on top of that after I ate my food that night I woke up sick and was sick for two weeks! Never again!

Excellent performance, friendly and fast service, great flavor

My experience at this place of business was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. The food was not fresh, tasted like plastic and was even off in color. My friend ordered from the Hibachi and I ordered from the regular menu and both of us agreed that it was the worst food we have experienced in a long time. BUT the worst part of it all was the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! - the manager actually CALLED THE POLICE because we complained about the food and requested a discount. We did NOT try to leave without paying OR request free food (we wouldn't have eaten it even if they were paying us!) Yet the manager still actually called the police and had them come out over a $10 piece of salmon. This manager was clearly racist and felt the need to express his "power".

The hibachi was really incredible the last time, I would highly recommend it. The service was fantastic and the wait was short. The sushi side is also good, but the quality of the sushi is not quite as high as their hibachi, not bad but not the best I have ever had. I will be going back soon!

My absolute favorite place!! The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is always super friendly. My 2 year old loves going because they are always so kind to her. Sushi is my favorite food of all time! Their ginger salad is just simply delicious, and the miso soup is so comforting! 😊 We go here for literally every occasion! For amazing food, a wonderful atmosphere, and great prices, this is your place to go! You won't be disappointed!
