I went to kappys with my husband and had a horrible experience. One of the bartenders were very rude to us, the drinks weren’t mixed well and the food was very overpriced. They’re very adamant about tipping the bartender but she sighs when you go up to the bar and roles her eyes as you talk to her. The karaoke was nice but that was the only thing that was about the experience. Would not recommend.

The place is clean but, the service could use some work. The bartender has a rude behavior that is not necessary. I will not be coming back if that continues. If she is not happy working there then she needs to find another job! She yelled at customers and then proceeded to roll her eyes and complain to another customer about it.

This place has AMAZING karaoke! I had my birthday party here and it was wonderful. The food was great!!

I would not return. I arrived at Kappy with two girl friend’s from university (5+ years so we are all about 30 ). When we arrived the bartender was extremely difficult to manage. After we speak and I hand her my passport, she says it’s expired. This passport was used last year (it’s very new). She hands the passport back, and I open it. She responds to this behavior by saying, “I know how to read a passport!” Hindsight, she in fact ‘did not know’ how to read a passport. The passport doesn’t expire until 2031. Afterwards, she says, oh you were right. Firstly, I don’t need to be right…I just want my drink (to go). Then she tells me the identification looks ‘nothing like me’ and starts arguing about this new issue. Ma’am, black women are allowed to change their hair (braids to short hair). She could not recover from her unwelcoming service and inappropriate demeanor, and rather than apologize and get me out as soon as possible she tried to recover by passing more skepticism and poor behavior. I tipped her because I’ve worked in hospitality for many years, but I would've rather left her with nothing. If this were Texas, she wouldn’t last. She has poor communication and obviously struggles with nuance or grace. There are ways of doing your job well, with great service. Also, I visited this location for the first time earlier in the week (with a straight wig) very ‘traditional’ presenting and there were NO issues with my identification. Yesterday when I arrive, I wore my hat and afro and was accompanied with two ‘white’ girl-friends, neither were carded or questioned. I’m not sure how much that'll play a part in her interaction but it is very interesting all the same…

Pretty typical bar food but the staff and vibes were immaculate. Was staying at the hotel across the lot, would go again!

Touch tunes music system is there, so you can hear just about whatever. Pool tables are awesome and in good shape. Very clean establishment. OK, selection of alcohol. Duck tenders are good but literally a handful of food. So dont expect nornal sized chicken tenders.I'd say enough food for a one person appetizer. Burgers are amazing. Fries were great, too. Slidell's best chill spot the Karaoke is 🔥🔥🔥

Arriving from a trip to Vegas to visit my son and his family, we stopped and ate. We all had wings and their famous frozen daquaries. I had the chocolate popsicle flavored, which was spot on flavor wise! If you are not sure what it tastes like, ask for a taste test so that you know what you are getting. The entire staff was so kind and upbeat plus a lot of person to person contact with customers at the bar! If you ever want to go, check out their website for business hours. All in all, it was one heck of a great place to stop and wind down. Enjoy everyone!

Best pool tables I've played on in a long while. Easy access right off I10. Plenty of room and things to do, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Daqaries are pretty standard, suggest the extra shot always.

We had a good time. Good selection of daiquiris. Lots of beer choices, but the only beers on tap are Louisiana brews. (Thumbs up for that. Support the locals.) Many unique menu items - more than I could try at one time - so I'll have to go back. Not a problem for me. Try the fried green beans and the Sea Dog. Highly recommended.

First time. The bday party was live, karaoke was entertaining. Kids were there & tbh they stole the show. I enjoyed watching a mother & her son singing together. I had one drink & didn't get anything to eat because I was busy enjoying people perform. I'll be back.

Go for karaoke nights. Friendly service, good food, good prices. Pool tables and darts are nicely set up. Like everyone else in Slidell, they could use some waitstaff and more servers. Not holding it against them. Last Friday when a little more than usual showed up (by my experience), bar never stopped, and the food stayed pretty consistently quick for the volume. Will go again. (Currently operating as a restaurant over a bar as per signs.) Go buy some raffle tickets to support Habitat for Humanity for Veteran's here locally. ✨️

The service was fantastic. Very sweet ladies there, and I take nothing from the atmosphere nor the service. But the food was just flavorless and dry. I ordered a baked chicken with baked beans and fried corn on the side. The corn was good but the chicken seemed more like Thanksgiving turkey. The corn helped out with how dry the chicken was... Other than that the place was very nice. Just giving an honest review.

My mom's burger was supposed to be medium-well and it was rare (really rare... more rare than my dad's medium rare burger and the only offer was to slap it back on the grill so she had to wait and eat after us because you prepay for food). Dad's burger was solid, ribs fell off the bone and were tasty. Hubby's double dare dog was solid.

Hamburger, onion rings was good, I had the try the crawfish boil soup, OMG it was delicious. You have to go stand in a line at the bar to order food, no waiter's or waitresses.

The service here is horrible even at the counter good luck getting anyone's attention to take a drink order even. They do offer several drink options including non alcoholic drinks as well as a limited food menu. Due to offering a food menu they actually allow children in here as well. There is a pool Table, connect four, darts and some other games.

It was different from what I usually do. The food was good. We tried different things and all of it was awesome. Daiquiri are awesome. All in all great place to visit. Oh and you don't have to know how to sing because karaoke welcomes all lol.

What a great spot!! With almost no staff they keep the place running. A testament to the hardworking people of the world. Four people working and the food, drinks and service were all fantastic. Thanks for working your butts off and making a couple of tourists feel right at home.

Awesome service and venue. Restaurant, bar, pool tables, karaoke, and games for kids. Great place outside to smoke with covered awning. Perfect daiquiris and mixed drinks. Huge tvs for sports. They have everything! We always go! The also have a jukebox to play your favorite songs.

We had an overnight stay at the Hampton Inn there in Slidell. We wanted a place to eat at that was close because we had a long drive that day and an early morning the next day. We decided to give Kappy's a try as it is IN the parking lot of the Hampton. We are THRILLED BEYOND MEASURE, that we went with our instinct and tried it. The service is a little odd as you order at the bar then find a seat. They do bring you your food at your table, but you have to order everything at the bar with a cashier. After doing that for our meal, then later for dessert I can see why. The place is super busy and they are short staffed. So to make it work, they have found this works. The food was super-hot, delicious, served perfectly as ordered and very quick. We started our meal with the friend green beans. They were the best we have tasted anywhere including Disney's Yak and Yet, which was our favorite until we tried these. We had the fish and chips for our main meal. Both were outstanding. The twisted gator fries were a variety that was new to us, but out of this world, seasoned perfectly. The fish was hot and in fingerlings, which we really enjoyed. Not overly breaded as well. For dessert we had the traditional beignets and they were amazing. Super-hot and perfectly sugared. The vibe was very friendly and if we lived there or nearby it would be a regular place of ours at least every other week. We enjoyed it all. If you haven’t been in a while, go back and take a second look. It’s a great hang out for young and old adults as well. Pool tables and friendly gatherings. Grab a drink and make a new friend.

Horrible bartenders. Old, feeble, confused. They need to get rid of those old ladies and hire some young attractive girls to pour the drinks. And lower their prices a bit too, then this place will attract some costumers.

We went here for daiquiris and to try their menu on Friday 7/15/22 about 4pm. Immediately impressed with the clean ample parking lot. Inside was clean and so nice I felt like this is our new spot. The bartender was absolutely great. She was funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. There was so much in the menu I didn't know what to pick. But The food was UBER good. We ordered Double cheese Burger and Nathan's double dog and it was soo good. The beef was seasoned. Came out hot. Freshly made. The double dog was juicy and delicious. There was a perfect amount of cheese and chili. Miami Vice was weak but taste was very good. Nevertheless i ordered a long Island on the rocks. Whew...😅 that drink put hair on my chest lol. We will be back!

Stopped here to get me and my partner some tasty adult treats to sit around outside and drink. I had the L.I.T and she had the Margarita. They were both very great! The service was phenomenal, was able to order and be out within 5 minutes.

If you are in Slidell or traveling I10, go to Kappy’s! Ice cold bottled beer (there are craft beers on tap) and delicious food!! We had the chips and crawfish queso. The chips are homemade, hamburger cooked to order -a delicious medium rare- and the crawfish boil. The frozen daiquiri bar has many flavors including alcohol free and they will mix to order!! Like so many establishments, Kappy’s faces a staff shortage. You must order at the bar and each order is freshly made, but well worth the wait! Don’t miss this gem in Slidell of I10!!!

On our way to New Orleans , found this little gem next to our hotel. Darryl and crew are top notch people. Very friendly and professional. The food was simply amazing.. Buffalo wings, duck tenders and crawfish boil.

Update: June 2022 Man. This place. The service is awesome. Food was outstanding. I had a burger. It was delicious. I will always make sure to continue to stop at Kappys. You know it's good when you drive away thinking about what you want to order next time you go. I had the Louisiana Iced Tea daiquiri. That was sooo good. Kappys is my go to Daiquiri Bar. The Bartenders are always welcoming. Love this place and I am excited to visit again in the new location soon.

We had an awesome experience at Kappy's. The burgers were fantastic and cooked to perfection. Great staff as well. Very comfortable environment for family and friends to enjoy each other . Looking forward to the next time already !

Was a little apprehensive about going at first, I’m just not one to try new things if I’m happy with places I’m used to. We live nearby and finally pulled the trigger and gave it a try for lunch. I could kick myself for not trying earlier. Food was great. Plenty of great draft beers. All different kinds of daiquiris. Bathrooms and dining room area was spotless. Will be back soon. I know it doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside was phenomenal. I kept seeing all the five star reviews and still wasn’t convinced however I should have been. Pool tables, darts, Golden Tee, and great bar area also.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn right behind Kappy’s just a quick walked from the hotel we stumbled upon a treasure. First night there we just got Daiquiris and watched the women’s final four. Great service and delicious daiquiris. Don’t forget to ask for the menu book. You can mix different flavors together that create unique concoctions. You have to stay for Karaoke. Serval locals come in on Friday and Saturday to show off their vocal talents. It’s not the best karaoke but it sure is entertaining. The Food is also amazing some of the best wings I’ve ever had. The garlic parm or Caribbean Jerk you can’t go wrong with either. We visited 3 night in a row for late night bite and night cap daiquiri. They also have a full bar If Daiquiris aren’t your thing. Closed on Monday and Tuesday that’s the only downfall. We shared kind words with the owner our last night there. Kappy’s is ran by her and her husband they are friendly locals in Slidell. You won’t regret stopping in.

I walked from hotel next door to a deceiving quiet looking place that serves 12 kinds of frozen daiquiris and or mixed drinks with some really good local food. I loved the cajun smoked gator sausage with jalapeno. I also had an awesome tasty crawfish boil in a bowl. The cajun curl fries were also tasty because I wanted more. But super nice folks work and own the place. They need some help.
