So rude!! It seems if you’re not obviously gay or trans, they want nothing to do with you. Since I am well-connected and only shop local, I went in super friendly and curious, eager for a new place to frequent. The place is dirty and cheaply decorated, and I was barely greeted but with a great amount of indifference. You won’t last long in Ormond Beach!

If I’m going to overpay for mediocre prepackaged tasting drinks I might as well go to Starbucks.

I decided to go sober three months ago and discovered Kava Kula one night when I was having terrible cravings. I was met by such a welcoming environment full of a clearly passionate and friendly staff. This is now my go-to for a fun night out, studying, making friends, etc. I LOVE that it's dog-friendly and I enjoy seeing all the dogs that come in. Everybody is so nice--staff and customers--and I feel at home every time I go. My favorite day to go is definitely Thursday for trivia night. There's a fantastic variety of kava "cocktails" and various k-teas on tap. If you're sober-curious, or if you're in need of a new judgment-free hangout spot, Kava Kula is the place to be! Jaquie, John, Brad, Sarah, and Steven are amazing! BULA!

Kava Kula is not just a really amazing kava bar but it’s a place that I consider my second home. I started going there when I quit drinking to find an alternative atmosphere and over the last 6 months I have developed the most incredible friendships. The owners, Jackie and John, are two of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve met. The Kavatenders, Brad and Sarah, are so welcoming and knowledgable. Any time I’m feeling sad, I know that I can go up to Kava Kula and I’ll see at least one person that can always brighten my day. I’m truly thankful for this business and the people that make it so wonderful.

Taco Tuesday is always a great time at Kava Kula. I mean what other place can you get your tea and kava and be appreciated so much as a customer you get free tacos. The Kava tenders are great at their jobs, knowledgeable, and have engaging personalities that make you want to hang out and spend time here. The Kratom Mojito and newest menu item, the Kava Extract Shortcake Shot were fantastic, in addition to the Kratom Bomb (Blue Raspberry flavor if you want a recommendation on the best flavor bomb) After being out on this coast of FL Kava Kula has become my go to spot, the atmosphere,people, ownership, and community is exactly what you want in a Kava bar. And after searching around, im definitely content with my kava bar away from home to have a great place to hangout and work, play, or just get some support from others when you need it. If you're looking for a spot to have a social time, but are not wanting to drink. This is definitely the most welcoming of spaces, with vastly diverse groups of people, it's easy to make new acquaintances and share some laughs with. even if You're a bit shy, you can absolutely rely on the regulars and Kava tenders to help you get to know new people and enjoy your time here. Also VERY dog friendly. Great place to bring your best friend to make new friends and play with. Today's Tea - Kava Shortcake 🍰 Shot, Kratom Mojito, Kratom Bomb, and of course some Mitra and Leilo's Togo.

Great environment. I love popping open my laptop during the day to get some work done, or coming to kick back and socialize. Staff crew is the best! Family vibes, everyone is very nice and helpful.

We were enticed by the 2 for 1 kava mimosas but ended up staying for an hour speaking with the owner who gave us a whole lesson on kava and K tea. We tried a kava shell, k teas, and kombucha. The strawberry kombucha is absolutely delicious. My friend and I loved learning so much and appreciated the friendliness, hospitality and passion she had for her craft. Such a hidden gem with a relaxing indoor and outdoor atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back again!

I went in cause I’m not sure what Kava is about and the lady that worked there was very disrespectful she didn’t even really tell us what kava even was. Once we said we were just there to ask questions she was pissed that we weren’t ordering anything. I’ll never go there again. Why would I drink something that I don’t know about and the staff is rude.

Love this place and the chill atmosphere. After Jackie explained the benefits of Kava I was super excited to try it. I have always had a really hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING!! Now I drink my bedtime Kava and experience a great night's rest.

From the moment you enter Kava Kula you feel welcomed and you know right away this isn’t your typical Kava Bar! The staff is so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and they know exactly what they are doing with their amazing mock-tail selection. The Kava and Teas are brewed to perfection and hit just right. Ashley was absolutely delightful, warm, and made us some of the best drinks we have had at a kava bar. And John…this guy. So genuine and passionate. Kava Kula is the place to be. Hidden gem of a kava bar! Excellent, excellent kava, awesome variety of specialties, hospitable staff and warm and welcoming patrons. The space is beyond comfortable, it makes you want to stay and hang out and chill or play. Beautiful expression of everything I love and appreciate in a kava bar. The munchies hit the spot. We came in late and hungry and Ashley and John took good care of us. How darling every detail is! Totally had me sad that closing time was approaching. Beautiful antique wooden bar, the owners are hilarious and a great time to talk to. The drinks are delicious and I left feeling amazing. Came down during a trip and will be back.

Never thought I would like a Kava bar, but this place has a nice atmosphere. Live music on the weekends and I believe is an excellent alternative to people who don't want to drink alcohol

What a beautiful and classy kava bar! I love the island decor, the patio seating, the comfy couches in the TV room. So welcoming! The drinks were delicious and refreshing. My hubby had the Island Mary and I enjoyed a Tropical Peach Serenity. All served with friendliness smiles. They were setting up for Tuesday night karaoke and I heard our bartender has a great voice! 5 STARS !!!

The cleanest and most inviting Kava Bar we have been to. The Kavatender was very knowledgeable and their drinks were well made. I liked that it had a similar atmosphere to a traditional bar making it a great place to bring friends who may not have tried kava before.

What an amazing atmosphere. They exhibits creative art on the walls and plays great music. They have an expansive menu offering multiple Kava and Kratom cocktails. Great staff & amazing concept. Super chill and relaxing. They have cool events every week so there is always something going on. The lounge is spacious and there is plenty of seating, even outside. A spot to come back to.

Great place to take 5 atmosphere and owners are out of this world , and the flavors of kava and Kratom are great.

I absolutely love The Kava Kula Kava Bar & Lounge. The place is beautiful. I love the laid back beachy atmosphere. The owners are the best and they’re very informative when it comes to Kava. The menu selection provides the perfect combinations to satisfy anyone taste. I tried Kava for the first time 2 weeks ago. I could not believe that I woke up and my feet were not swollen. All of the inflammation was gone. I had witnesses that seen the results. I bought a bottle of it a couple days ago. Here’s to Kava and no longer having to take water pills, plus I have lost 3 pounds in the past week. I am absolutely happy with the results. I highly recommend the Kava Kula Kava Bar & Lounge. Love the owners. Support local business!

This places vibe is awesome! You can tell the owner really cares about the place. They have a vibe room behind the bar and it has a PlayStation! Among so much other games and such. There’s also a good place right next store so I have to be careful to not spend all day here.

My wife and I spent a relaxing afternoon here - and got a Kava education from the lovely proprietress as well as getting a nice Kava buzz. Who knew Ormond Beach would have a Kava bar?

If you love the idea of being in a magical treehouse sipping on sweet elixirs and having a marvelous time this is the absolute place for you. John and Jackie are the greatest hosts and extremely welcoming. If you're a kava drinker this place has an atmosphere like no other. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.
