I went today and got a Philly cheesesteak with a side of potato salad. I am very picky about vegan spots bc ppl don’t get the flavors right(poc here) but when I tell you this shii HITTT!! And it was only a 15 min walk from the beach. My literal only complaint was that the potato salad needed some seasoning and it was still really good. Margo gave great service with my bombardment of questions about the drink options(which they have a lot of)! Overall I’m just upset I live so far away. This is something I’d buy everyday!!!!

I just went back here recently and let me tell you, if I could give them 10 more stars I would. 3 years ago when I rated them 5 stars they had a much mich smaller menu. Last week me and my boyfriend visited the area again and they expanded everything delicious. I really had a hard time choosing 1 thing to get. Highly recommend the combo for an app though, gives u a little taste of everything so you don't have that issue of picking only 1. Can't wait to go back

A vegan oasis! Named after the owner's daughter, Kaya, this restaurant serves up an eclectic variety of plant-based vegan dishes that made us want to dine here over and over again, so we can try them all! They had two daily specials (including Italian pierogies - see photos) when we visited in August 2024. The waitress we had was very friendly, conversational, and greeted and served us with a smile. Highly recommended! Wish we lived closer but we plan to stop here on our next trip.

This was the best vegan food I have had in a while. Chicken Cesar salad was wonderful. Best vegan chicken I’ve ever eaten. Coconut cake and coffee was a great finish. I’ll be back 😋

Kaya’s probably changed their chef, finally after a long time going down the shore their food tastes good. Back in a day it was terrible and today it’s tasty. They just need to do some renovations, place looks a bit old, but overall stuff and food is delicious

I have been looking for a vegan restaurant 3 years at Belmar. I found Kaya's and all I can say is what a marvelously DELISH meal from the Iced WiLD Raspberry Hibiscus Lemonade to the hand cut fries. I had the beyond burger that was cooked perfectly! Cannot wait to come back amd try more!!!! Totally excited!!!! Check this awesome place! You will not be disappointed. And they have Vegan gluten free desserts! The carrots cake is off the chain and full of flavor and not too dry at all! Omg!

Wow!!!! Spent the day down the shore..As a vegan, it's always hard to find a restaurant with an all vegan menu. We decided to give Kayas a try and Holy cow!!! I'm so glad we did! Absolutely delicious freshly prepared vegan food from appetizers to dessert with so many choices! Hard to pick a favorite meal as all of it was so good! I am already planning another trip to 'squan just to stop by kayas after a day on the beach!!! Service was wonderful too!! Friendly quick and helpful! Thank u to kaya and all the staff!!!!!

We visited this restaurant for a takeout on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered Pita wraps, they were just amazing. The falafels in the wrap were hands down the best. The staff was pleasant and very welcoming. I am sure to visit this place for a dine in whenever I go Belmar next.

Relaxed atmosphere, relaxed service. All food full of flavor, we had Kaya’s platter, cheesesteak, and tempeh Reuben. Just moved home from Philly. Would put it on same level or better as the 10+ vegan spots we ate at in the city.

i stopped here before a show last week for a quick vegan lunch and it was amazing! i got the chicken parm sub which comes with a side, i chose fries, and for $15 it was a really great deal. the chicken was seasoned really well, the sauce was very good- had fresh basil and the cheese was very tasty and melted perfectly, the fries were pretty good too! the service was very quick and i drove just a couple minutes away to eat by the beach it was overall a great experience

Amazing vegan place, easily the best vegan place I've tried yet in NJ. We tried the VFC and Philly cheesesteak which were both delicious.

We drove an hour to visit Kaya's Kitchen (hadn't been here since last year). It is worth the drive! The menu is full of great choices ! Love the atmosphere and the food. I wish there was another location closer to me! Update! Visited on March 24 It was a sunny day, so we drove to Kaya's and we had an incredible meal! I highly recommend the sampler platter which includes BBQ "ribs", Buffalo "wings, "chicken" nuggets and the delicious potato salad! I must warn you this is definitely enough for a full meal for 2 people! We boxed our sandwiches to go!

Had dinner at Kaya’s kitchen on a Tuesday night. We were happy to see that they were open as not many places were. We shared the Kaya’s combo platter and an order of fries. The platter was delicious with the sauces they included and the potato salad. The fries were ok, I like them a little more crispy :) Friendly staff and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing place for a nice sit down vegan dinner. They have great options for kids which is really nice. We love getting Kayas for takeout but also eating in. The restuarant is clean and the staff is friendly

This should be your go-to place for vegan fare in the area. We've been there a few times now with another couple, tried several dishes between the four of us, and have never been disappointed. I'm not even vegan, and the enchiladas for instance are better than almost any I've had with real cheese, and the "meat" dishes are likewise delicious even to the carinivores among us. The menu is surprisingly varied, and there's always interesting specials - and save room to sample the extensive dessert menu. Staff is friendly and attentive. BYOB. Highly recommended.

People tend to equate vegan and vegetarian cuisine, but they aren't as close as others would think. But this is a place vegans, vegetarians and their families can enjoy. Exceptional food, friendly service and a huge dessert selection. The only issue that true vegans may have is narrowing down their selection to just one dish.

I can't praise this place enough!! Everything I've tried is delicious and well-portioned, and I always get a side order of their "chic'n" salad to make sandwiches for the week. If I HAD to pick a favorite, this former Philly girl is going with their Philly Cheesesteak. Kaya's is the best place in the area for Vegetarian/Vegan cuisine, but omnivores of all kinds will love their unique and yummy dishes! (PS treat yourself to their desserts too)

2/3, my husband and I visited Kaya's. We are not Vegan but we wanted to try something new and everything was delicious! We will definitely go back and try other items on the menu. Customer service was EXCELLENT!!

We haven’t dined at Kaya’s, but we’ve ordered takeout quite a few times. Although we’re not vegan, it’s one of our favorites in town. We especially love the ‘chicken’ parm, falafel, and all of their fabulous salads. Their food is so fresh and tasty every time!

Overall it's a good experience. It would be nice if they had more choices for creamers with their coffee other than soy milk. The desserts are very good. I really like the "steak" kabobs. I wish they had more low sodium options. I was happy to hear that they were willing to tweak the recipe to make it less salty for my diet needs.

Edit- I love Kayas, but my recent experience was very disappointing. I do not live around the corner, it takes me a good 40min to get there. I ordered a chikn sandwich on a sprouted roll and a side of mac n cheese. The mac and cheese... no complaints. I watched as they packed up my order and noticed my sandwich was on a pretzel roll, no biggie, I was starving so it was whatever. The sandwich itself... a huge disappointment. It was a thin flat patty. It's like they ran out of their delicious recipe and I got a heated up frozen patty. Wasted my gas and 30 bucks for my meal. Everything is delicious at Kayas Kitchen. Dinned several times. Great casual atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. I never had a bad experience and will continue to dine at Kayas whenever I am in the Belmar area.

Potatoes were soggy. The scramble was very bland and unseasoned. And the pork roll pork was kind of spam-like. The ladies running the counter were very sweet and helpful. Maybe it was just what I ordered but the food was not worth it.

Kaya's hands down has the best vegan food!!! Highly recommend, large menu, byob, staff always nice and cozy atmosphere!!! THE BEST!

I love Kayas Kitchen! This is my favorite vegan restaurant and I've tried quite a few being a vegan for almost 11 years. The service is always great, the food is so delicious, im never disappointed! The Kayas Combo and Golden Temple dish are my favorites!

It was alright there. Me and my wife went there. We ordered a platter with chicken nuggets,ribs ect. It's definitely vegan. The only thing I didn't like was the sodium content in the sauce,but overall it's ok if you like vegan 🥑🥑🥑

Kaya's Kitchen has become one of my main 'go to' restaurants in the area. The food is delicious and also healthy, very creative menu and specials. The ambiance, the decor, the music, the crowd, the vibe and the cleanliness are all wonderful. The service is exemplary, - the nicest feature of the establishment. Also, the restaurant does not have a bad table in the whole place, it always feels cozy, private enough and comfortable no matter where one is seated.

So my 17yo daughter and I did a random beach day today and happened upon Kaya's Kitchen by chance. Neither her or myself have ever had vegan food before today. First, the vibe was totally chill and so esthetically pleasing to myself and my artsy daughter. The food was simply delicious and we didn't miss meat as the main protein at all!! The ladies there were super nice and recommended really good menu items. We were so glad we stopped there!! I had the Reuben and she had the Falafel and we both had the half and half wild berry and lemonade drink. We finished with the Tiramasu, which was the perfect balance of sweetness to finish off our dining experience. Nice job Kaya's Kitchen we will be back to try other vegan options. The “chicken” parm sandwich was the perfect sandwich to have at the beach! It really filled my cheesy craving.

Something is just not right. I've eaten here a few times and usually the food is pretty good. Today I picked up my order and my burger was burnt and dry and there was no sauce or anything in it. Just a dry burnt burger in a bun. The employees here seemed like they'd rather not be there.

The only “complaint” we could make is the menu was filled with so many tempting options it was hard to choose! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and have decided we’ll just need to go back (again and again!)

came to this place yesterday with my partner because we wanted food and it was the only vegan place in the area. the first red flag about this place is that the restaurant didnt smell like anything - couldn’t smell any food or anything upon walking in. the second red flag is that they were using what looked like african masks as wall decorations even though there was not one single african dish on the menu. we sat down and our server brought us waters after a few minutes without saying anything and just dropped them on the table. i wasn’t even sure if she was our server at this point because she didn’t greet us or say hi or anything. just put the waters down and walked away. she came back after a bit and we weren’t ready to order food yet and she took about another 5-10 mins to come back to take our orders. we got these thai peanut sauce skewers which were not bad but i definitely would not get them again. our entrees came out: my partner got the bbq ribs w mashed potatoes and veggies and i got the enchiladas. we also got a side of fries. the bbq ribs were huge pieces of seitan that were not seasoned at all on the inside and the potatoes and vegetables were also not seasoned at all. the fries were soggy and unseasoned and my enchiladas came out lukewarm. the cheese inside was not melted at all and the sauce tasted like grocery store enchilada sauce. when we brought this up to our server she seemed to get personally offended (i assume because she recommended the bbq ribs) and she didn’t seem to care about providing us decent service the whole night. she checked on us one time despite checking on all the other tables around us multiple times throughout their meal. when the manager came over to speak to us about disliking the food she started asking us questions about if we had ever had these things before and tried to rebut everything we said we didn’t like. she took the bbq ribs off the check but didn’t take the fries off despite us not eating them at all and telling her we did not like them. it also didn’t help that all the tables around us seemed to recieve good service and my partner and i were the only 2 people there that weren’t white… i also personally have eaten at multiple vegan restaurants and cook mostly plant based for myself at home (for about a year now) and i can confidently say that this place had some of the worst food i’ve ever had. definitely the worst vegan food ive ever had. if you value food that has flavor i would not recommend coming here.

What a great lunch! The Turkish Delight was outstanding! If I lived closer, I would make this a weekly stop. I will still travel to visit! If you are Whole Food Plant Based, I highly recommend giving Kaya’s a try.

Absolutely love dining at this vegan restaurant when at the Jersey Shore. There are also many amazing options on the menu and everything we ordered has been delicious and flavorful! Very friendly and efficient staff! It’s also a BYOB. Oh and save room for dessert! The desserts are incredible! We had the peanut butter brownie and the lemon layer cake, both amazing!

Wonderful food and service! We got the seitan ribs appetizer which was so delicious. I also got the Reuben sandwich with a side salad. Everything was so tasty and the portions were incredibly generous. I want to go back and try some more dishes! I also really like the berry iced tea. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable, and the staff is attentive and friendly.

Entrees that are vegan but don’t seem “forced”. I had the day’s special, an Oyster (mushroom) Po’Boy. Although the breaded, fried mushrooms were oyster shaped, they stood on their own and were not quasi-oysters. The sauce was perfectly spiced, and the toasted bun added to the sandwich

My brother in-law brought me here. Let's just say he's still family! I went Vegan a few months ago, wish I did it sooner. Anyway the food here is fabulous 👌. They explained everything to me cause I'm still a virgin vegan. There prices were very reasonable actually for what you get thier down right cheep. Anyone that knows me I didn't go out to eat because it's to expensive. This place is worth the drive even if you live in Wildwood! So get on your bike, car or wheel 🛞 and check it out. Ps. Get Kaya's sampler!

We are meat lovers and we end up here by mistake and decided to give it a try... but the food was delicious. Kaya's combo was very good. Seitan stroganoff great. Big portions.. the desert was delicioso. The chocolate coffe uffff.

Staff is exceptionally sweet & food is great- just have to order the right things. Really cute indoor vibe too! I brought 4 of my meat eating friends here and they loved it- buffalo cauliflower wings were bomb, oyster mushroom hoagie exceptional, tacos to die for, & impossible burger so so good. I got the quesadillas and i didnt like how cheesy/ soggy they were personally! Would definitely return to try other menu items everything looks soo good!! ALSO sooooo cost efficient!!!

WOW some of the food is amazing here. We had the Philly cheesesteak and kaya’s combo which were fantastic. The French onion soup and jersey devil were a little lacking but good portions and comes with fries/potatoes. Recommend the ceaser’s salad too!

Kaya’s kitchen is a must go vegan place in Belmar. I love most of all items in the menu, but my fav is definitely the mashed potatoes with gravy. I can eat it with mostly everything.

We ate today at Kaya’s and we loved it! The food was delicious, Angie our server was wonderful and the place was clean and very comfortable. The mac and cheese was light and seasoned nicely…loved the Lion of Judah and the chicken salad…very nice portions 😊😊..very pleased and we will be back very soon! 🌷

The whole entire menu is loaded with yummy food I want to try! I got the BBQ ribs and Mac and cheese. Finished with blueberry cheesecake. Absolutely delicious. My server was Sarah. She did her job with a smile and made sure everyone was very well taken care of. She is awesome! The hostess was Angie. She saw me looking at a shirt and asked if I'd like one. I did. Then we started chatting about shirts, and food. I brought up that I am from Hershey Pennsylvania, about 2 and a half hours from Kaya's and I frequent a bakery called Vegan Treats. She mentioned that vegan treats supplies Kaya's with some desserts. If you get a cannoli from Kaya's, it's from Vegan Treats in Bethlehem PA. Highly recommend because I know Kaya's has top notch desserts. Angie and Sarah are awesome!

The food here is absolutely delicious, and it's also very well priced for the quality! I'm obsessed with their gyro 🤤 It was my go to takeout order during the COVID restrictions. It's BYO if you'd like an adult beverage. Casual dining, perfect for a date or night out with friends. They even have breakfast (before 2pm)!!! Been coming here for EVER, even before I stopped eating animals years ago and I always enjoyed it. I would love to try the owner's other place in Princeton called Planted Plate when I'm in that area.

Best vegan restaurant we’ve been to across the states. We got the Philly and the Reuben with buffalo tempeh as our appetizer. Friendly and fast service too!

Charging $15 for 4 seitan skewers and then charging $15 for TWO seitan skewers that are exactly the same as the old ones. THAT'S greed. I don't care that you're a single owner and can't afford to pay your bills. Hire more people and make more money. That's how it works, genius. And THAT'S why people don't like vegan restaurants. By the way, saying "stay blessed" doesn't show you've taken the high road. Not being greedy does.

My family took a trip for lunch there today and the food was excellent! The atmosphere was nice and the server extremely pleasant and handled our rowdy bunch well. Sad that they didn’t have a large black Hail Seitan shirt but what can ya do?

The best by far vegan food. Been hundreds of times even though its an hour drive. Have never been disappointed and I'm very picky. Just took all the kids and mates eight of us perfect service. Huge plates, more than you can eat. Also try the Planted Plate in Princeton. More of a lunch place.

When you need a great pick me up meal for cost and portion size, Kayas has been phenomenal and accommodating to any requests. Staff is great and cooks are on point. Try their Belly Buster pork roll and ask them to put it in a wrap with the home fries inside, you will not be disappointed!

This place can simply be described as an experience when I went here there were so many options. It's like they had a little bit of every single cuisine I remember. I personally ordered an enchilada with some sesame sensation and steak, now one thing that I think is crazy is that everything I just said had no meat in it and not even me. No cheese. This place is completely vegan. Now I know that it's commonly considered that vegan food is not the best, but in this case it was really good and personally I'm vegetarian so I never tried it before. So for me I didn't know how to compare this so that I will not be speaking. But as a vegetarian I will say that the food was really good. The only small issue is that sometimes they use a lot of barbecue sauce. And as I said, I'm a vegetarian not a meat eater so I don't know how much barbecue sauces usually use. But in my steak, which was what I personally ain't there was just a lot of barbecue sauce to the point I had to scrape some of it off. But this doesn't mean that the steak was bad or the fake steak in this case was bad. It was still really good and I enjoyed it a lot. I also got ribs which are vegan and those were also really good and I just love the shop design because it had a nice atmosphere and the service was great. The people help you with deciding and I just love restaurants that have staff that you know. Help you with making decisions because that's probably the hardest thing, especially in this restaurant, considering you could literally find so many different cuisines in this one restaurant. They also have a good dessert selection and I had the lemon cake which was Good. In conclusion, this place is just a great place to go. If you're vegetarian and you want to try some fake meat or maybe it's also good if you eat meat and you want to try eating fake meat. This place is definitely a great place to go with friends but it is on the more expensive side but again it is basically worth it. One more thing is that the portion sizes are good so you don't have to worry about going home hungry. You'll probably have to worry about having to pack some though because it's really good.

Viva Las Vegan! ;) Solid vegan food. I came here with 8 family members and an old neighbor who is vegetarian. She was fine with going anywhere as long as no red meat was on the menu but most places in the area only offer a couple vegetarian options. This spot's menu was exclusively vegan and huge! We started off with "Turkish Delight" and "Kaya's Combo" which were both very sharable. We were quite impressed with both. The Turkish delight came with Mediterranean faves of hummus, falafel, babaganoush, tabouleh, olives, cumin pita, and a tahini sauce while Kaya's Combo had plenty of tofu "chicken" nuggets, tempeh buffalo wings, seitan ribs, potato salad, and dipping sauces. For my entree, I loved my Pesto Eggplant sandwich which arrived with crunchy fried and breaded eggplant topped with red peppers, basil pesto, and other yummy toppings on a pretzel bun (choose this bread if given the option). For dessert, their carrot cake is the one to get! With such a great experience vegging out, this is just the veganning! ;) NOTES/TIPS: **BYOB, huge space, lots of tables. Menu has definitions of vegan, seitan, and other terms. **My kids really enjoyed their lemonade which was mildly sweet **Changing table in the women's bathroom **Angled parking and street parking available nearby

Kayas kitchen looks like it has been around for a while, but the food is as fresh and tasty as any new hip plant based restaurant. Sometimes older vegan places loose the passion over the years and lean too much of frozen fake meats and just deep fry everything. Not Kayas kitchen, the special mushroom sandwich was amazing, the seitan skewers are very good, and everything tasted fresh and great. Worth a trip to check out fun vintage stores nearby and definitely get food here!

Wonderful VEGAN place. Was able to choose anything and everything on the menu. Is usually hard to find variety for a vegetarian,let alone a vegan but this place won't disappoint. Great variety of tasty food that makes the non-animal eater,happy!

FANTASTIC! Highly recommend EVERYTHING! We loved the Kaya's Combo, which let's you sample several items on one plate. All delicious, especially the ribs. Rocky Mountain Stew is amazing. My wife enjoyed the Gyro and the Perogies were great too.

I have took my daughter here many times before and loved it everything. Unfortunately last night we had over an hour wait after being sat at our table. They were serving quite a few tables that had arrived and ordered after us . This has always been our favorite spot we frequent and hope this visit was a one time negative experience. The food was still excellent though!!

Have been there twice already! One of the few best tasting vegan food in NJ. The best so far has been their pizza and Jambalaya. They can definitely make their enchiladas softer but overall a pleasant experience.

Food Allergy Alert!! There is lack of hospitality eg. When asked on ingredients due to various nut allergy fir my daughter the response was very irritating and not open for conversation. Staff also responded they are very busy with customers for simple query . Food was filling and good.

Growing up my family would order Kaya's for major holidays, graduations, and job offers. This past weekend my family celebrated its first reunion since 2020, so of course we got Kaya's! The staff was super flexible and accommodating with our order. We got the lentil loaf, ribs, buffalo wings, and BBQ drumsticks. Everything was super delicious and the meal was a hit!! Thank you, Kaya's!!
