Was greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff never stopped helping after that. We walked In about 7:30 stared at the menu for a few minutes (about 7:35-7:40) and had food in our hands by 7:50 it was amazing to eat! Honestly so good we have had Chinese food all over (except for China) and this place would rate 2nd only to our home favorite place. So all in all number 1 restaurant unless your on Medina, Ohio!

I have not had Kenny's in a couple years, I moved out of state and was excited to have it when I returned. It was a let down. The bourbon chicken and house fried rice was completely different. Very average and bland. The house fried rice was also half the size of what it used to be. Bummer.

Poor customer service! So disappointed the last 3 times I've ordered they've gotten my order wrong. I thought having the man read me my order back would help but clearly not. When I called back asking for them to fix my food or please give me a refund the lady was very rude and not helpful. Basically telling me that's what I ordered but I know for a fact I didn't because I have food allergies that's why I always have them repeat my order back to me. Overall 0/10 experience won't be back

My husband ordered the szechwan braised beef & hot chili sauce, and it had a really strong chemical, cleaner type of smell. He couldn't eat it. Big waste of $21. We haven't eaten here in a while but will, for sure, never return.

I haven't ever had food this bad. Everything tasted so bad I took a Covid test just to make sure it wasn't me. My family through most of it away and at chips. People should be warned!!!

Absolutely terrible Yakisoba... The duck was pretty bad as well..I'll make this quick and painless and wrap this place up as a no-go...Don't recommend..

Great place near JBER that delivers on base, and kept their military discount even through the pandemic. I like the roast duck here a lot. Food can be spicier than you might expect. Had lo mein which was fairly spicy, which I wasn't expecting. Tasted good though. This place is also responsible for saving tofu for me. I'm generally pretty anti-vegetarian food due to some things that happened in my past. But the mapo tofu is one of the best things I've eaten, and I almost always order it. It's not actually vegetarian of course, since the dish contains pork. But the braised tofu is great too. I generally hate tofu and I'll preferentially order it here because it's so good. Good service, pretty low key atmosphere. We have eaten from Kenny's many times and never had a bad experience.

Great little Chinese place near JBER base! Offers military discount. They have an excellent take out lunch special with a hot to go bar. Highly recommend this place. Small dining area for sitting to eat and drinks to go to. Workers are always friendly and eager to help!

5 years now we’ve ordered regularly from them. The food has never disappointed and the service and delivery has always been amazing. We’ve had one order where they gave us the wrong item and they immediately fixed the problem even after their closing hours. One of our favorite spots in Anchorage.

This was our first time going. It was really good, overall. We went with friends and had two orders of sesame chicken and Mongolian beef. The portion sizes were really good, and the flavor was on point. Why I docked a star: the $5 upcharge for fried rice from steamed rice. For a WHOLE $5 more all they do is cooking the rice in soy sauce and it comes out completely flavorless. Out of the 3 cups of up charged rice ordered, there were probably only 6 pieces of eggs scattered throughout them. So I'm not sure why it costs $5 more for a couple pieces of eggs you have to hunt for to find, and cooked in a flavorless soy sauce. We added additional soy sauce at the table to try and add flavor to the rice. The steamed rice was more fulfilling than the fried rice. Overall, the taste was good and we'll probably go back again for the entre, we just won't pay $5/each for soy sauce to be put on the rice.

I have eaten here a couple of times, and the first two times, the food was amazing. This last time was a miss for me. Not only was the order not correct when I got home, but the overall taste was bland. I'm just going to chalk it up to a one-off for now.

busy day so ordered takeout. kenny's was a pleasant find in the past, but current prices are getting too high. Quality has also gone down hill. our dishes were bland and overcooked, and the vegetables were worse. All were horrendously overcooked, limp, and tasteless instead of what you expect from stir fry - fresh, crisp, and flavorful. and the fried rice? it wasn't. it was cooked rice w/ too much soy, no egg, vegetables, or seasonings. Chef Ming Tsai has an excellent recipe - ginger, scallion, carrot, etc etc. sorry Kenny's, but we have a wok too and make much better asian dishes at home - and at a fraction of the cost. know you have high overhead and the economy is what it is, but that doesn't mean the quality should decline into the typical "cheap chinese" so common in the LaChoy tradition of so-called chinese. expected more, got far less, and won't be back.

When I ordered I thought they were expensive. But when we opened the boxes we had ordered way to much food for two. Just one dish easily fed us both. The miso soup was hot and delicous. My hubby and I both got chicken dishes. The chicken pieces were crisp and juicy. The eggrolls small but yummy. The food after a 20 minute drive home was still piping hot

Was on a lunch break when I stumbled across this hidden gem. Staff are super friendly and the food was great. Had a wonderful surprise of the portions when getting back to work. Thought the carry out order had a bed of rice, but there was just more of the delicious chicken. Do recommend them. Hope they one day have a larger restaurant so they can show off their culinary arts.

IVE HAD MORE MISSES THEN HITS, SO AS I USE TO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AS A HIT NOW I SAY MISS THIS PLACE WAVE BYE AS YOU DRIVE BY & BE THANKFUL YOU SAVED $ 100 BECAUSE THEY DONT LIKE IT WHEN YOU CALL THEM & LET THEM KNOW IT WAS A MISS. Over priced, high delivery fee , extra high And food has changed, owners are awful

The elder man has a temper, I was standing in line waiting to buy food and I watched him yell at a young man because he thought that the meat smelled sour. He wasn't rude at all, he was very polite and this man i would describe him as an elder gentleman really got upset , then turns to mabey his wife and she said some awful things to him, I'm not even going to repeat.. I couldn't believe it. The lady in front of me of & myself were going to get lunch until we saw how rude they were. So we both got a drink & laughed about how we won't be returning here. I don't know if the meat smelled sour as I didn't smell it, but that poor young man take a beating for just showing concern for his food as anyone would do. Shame on them, they should have been much nicer .

Gave all ones because, went in prices were high, I didn't mind waiting in the short line , but they seemed to be more focused on orders to go , not the customers who were in there establishment, I overheard there crazy expensive delivery charges, so they are adding $5-10 to every meal ( I think $5 is those lucky enough to live within 2 miles of tihkatnu. Then my food cam out incorrectly & somehow she blamed me. Lol walked out left food , might try delivery , but I don't like adding an extra $10 that's just crazy!

I tried this place with hope it'd be better than the rest of the Chinese food in anchorage that sucks. I was wrong, the food was extremly bland with no flavor (I had the orange chicken). We waited over 1.5hr for delivery and it came cold. Not worth the extremly high prices.

Great place to eat, very clean, service is amazingly above and beyond. Lici has been our server and she is excellent, the food is well worth the drive to Anchorage. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves Chinese food and you will not be disappointed.

Just go to panda Express. This place is over priced and just sub par food.

So, my first visit was good. But this evening I took my wife and kids and the service was just not there. It seemed to take forever to get our food. My wife's food never came out. I had to go ask about it. So I told them to please just put it in a Togo box and then they forgot the rice that went with it. After clearing it all up and receiving all the food Togo we paid and left. The staff was more focused on the Togo orders than those dining in. Our waiter never checked on us , not even once. Even after all this they did not offer any discount. Not sure if we will ever go back because there are so many other similar restaurants in the area.

We had spicy seafood soup and it was fantastic. Definitely going back again.

Food was not very good. The Sesame chicken was soggy and dry. The shrimp fried rice only had 3 shrimp in it and the rice was very dry. The noodles were ok, but I needed to add salt to everything.

Nice little hole in the wall Chinese eatery. Serving sizes and prices are fair. Nothing to write home about, but worth it for a bite if you like Chinese cuisine and are in the area.

The food was excellent. The portions were very large. The lunch special was a super fantastic deal. The staff was very friendly.

I get kennys kitchen every now and then fairly regularly, there was probably only one time they ever had my order late which is not really a big deal to me when they’re one of the few places that deliver to Jber. But despite my order being late it was delicious and they added in a little extra on the house so I have to commend the customer service. Friendly staff, wholesome food, can’t go wrong these little hole in the wall Chinese restaurants👌🏻

Amazing and delicious dumplings and sauce! This is definitely a scrumptious local Chinese comfort food take-away restaurant. So much better than the corporate Panda Express. Yum! The dumplings were the best and I would go back for them but the rest was standard fast food Chinese fare.

Have yet to have a bad meal at Kenny's. Everything is always prepared fresh, is always super tasty and I love that I can ask for things that are allergen free or made to be allergen free. Some restaurants aren't as accommodating, and that is frustrating.

The Singapore Noodles are the best in Anchorage by far!

We were stationed there from 09-12. This is hands down the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. We have even considered flying to anchorage just so we can have good Chinese food again. Don’t let anyone convince you with their review they wrote when they were in a bad mood that this place sucks. It’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’m very particular about food and it will throw me into a fit of rage if it’s not cooked right. This place never disappointed.

I found metal in my steamed rice after finding out that I was charged 7.00 for a delivery fee. I am not happy with my last order. They offered to credit back one of my meals for 18.00 but said it’s below what they can and only gave me back 15.00

Nothing better than HOT delicious food! And this place has both!! And the staff we absolute adore they are so friendly and make sure we are well taken care of!

Great Chinese food and great lunch special

I love Kenny’s. I’m from North Carolina so when I moved here, I noticed how terrible all Chinese places were since it’s completely different on the west coast compared to back home. Kenny’s is the only restaurant I’ve found here that even comes close to what food is like on the east coast. Not exactly the same but still really good and one of my favorite places to eat here.

Best Chinese I’ve found here so far and e cheapest by a mile. Nice workers too with full portions. Good selections for lunch special 1-2-3 combo options.

Used to eat here a lot back in 2014 when I lived in Anchorage and loved it, probably best Chinese food I've had anywhere in the states. Now I'm back in Anchorage for work and decided to hit it up again with my wife and they definitely still got it! The chicken is well cooked and super soft! Their Lo Mein is also probably the best I've had, highly recommend!

Came in just to have a bite because I was hungry. They assumed I was a to go customer but wanted to dine-in. They packaged my food in to-go containers, not a big deal but wouldn't hurt to mention if I wanted to dine-in or not. I sat and ate my food, I wish they would at least have asked if I wanted a cup of water. Pricey compared to other places. Their yakisoba was good although it could use less salt. That's just me.

Kenny’s Kitchen is a favorite for my family every time we are in Anchorage. The food is great, the staff members are friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

Always a good dinner choice. The food is good and we always end up with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

My absolute favorite Asian restaurant in United States and the first meal I get when visiting my in-laws in Eagle River for the Holidays. I've been coming here for 8+ years. Why has this place not franchised?!! Update: 2/23/2022: In the past 2 years this restaurant has gone downhill. They don't seem to care. Basic condiments like chili sauce, soy sauce etc costs extra (a few dollars extra). The quality of the ingredients fell off a cliff and they now use frozen products. It's very unfortunate because this used to be my favorite Asian restaurant in Alaska. It's sad that they are willing to loose many customers by charging money for basic condiments (and essential condiments) that are free at every other Asian restaurant.

I've ordered here multiple times everytime my order is either wrong or missing what I ordered and yet still get charged. When I call about it they give stor credit for almost half of what I paid for what was missing. I live on base and will be telling everyone to stay clear of this place.

Will not go to this place ever again. We have tried a couple times just in case it was a bad day. Seems like everyday is a bad day. Food was terrible. Was like overpriced Chicken McNuggets Although It was warm.

Friendly and hard working staff. Had the duck noodle soup- I added the restaurants chile pepper paste and really enjoyed this soup. The soup portion was huge and the chile paste in the broth got better and hotter the next day. The soup is filled with bok choy- tender duck- carrots and noodle. It was a very kid friendly plate. My son had the pu pu platter with fried chicken, egg roles, dumplings, pork, and steamed dumplings. You can request for steamed dumplings *we did*- and got them. Overall, I'm glad to support local business, this business hires local teens, aspiring cooks, and appeals to the local community. I always see this place with people in it. Pho siagon and kenny's kitchen are probably the best 2 locally owned business to eat at in tikatnu commons. There's a ton of chain restaurants that have pre frozen food, understaffed and overworked service workers, and take from small locally owned restaurants in tikatnu commons. If you want to help locally economy, young aspiring chefs, and talented career chefs willing to mentor youth, then go there and order the roasted duck or duck noodle soup. My mom in law had the sweet and sour soup and really liked that too.

They are still not doing seating, only carry out which was odd. I got the orange chicken and the flavor was fine, nothing special. A few pieces of the chicken were a bit stringy and hard but most of them were fine. It was a huge, huge quantity of food so good value for the money. The packets of soy sauce that they give are almost like water... No real soy flavor at all. I do appreciate the military discount!

Hands down best Chinese food in Anchorage! Food tastes phenomenal, the staff is super friendly, they deliver with a quickness and the portions are huge. One order of fried rice could easily feed three to four people. Google only lets you rate restaurants up to five stars, Kenny’s deserves the sixth.

I ordered the lunch special, bourbon chicken and white rice. The chicken was very salty and vinagery, not the bourbon chicken I'm used to eating. Don't think I will return.

All the dishes we've had were consistent and good. They are busy so call again if you don't get through the first time.

Staff was friendly, but prices and food weren’t great. The food was pretty bland. Needed spiced up. The other two people with me felt the same.

The two cousins in the front were very helpful and nice gave me and my girlfriend plenty of time to order didn't feel pressured or rushed to get out especially of what's been going on lately with Covid-19, even gave recommendations on what to order. We just walked in and order the wait time was only 7 minutes max and the food was hot steamy and fresh was perfectly would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for some solid Chinese/ Japanese food thanks guys!

I just ordered from here for the first time & it was really good. I got the walnut shrimp & crab ragoons. I live in Eagle River & they thankfully delivered to our house with everything going on. They got here in less than 30 minutes. Food was excellent. I will definitely be going back.

Absolutely amazing mapo tofu, and easily enough food for two meals.

I love their veggie fried rice. It's got a rich, buttery flavor with zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, asparagus, and eggs. The veggie egg rolls are also really good. The chicken can be dry because it's not evenly coated but otherwise no complaints. This is my favorite Chinese place in town.
