Food and service was exceptional.

My partner and I LOVE Kinnaree. We get their yellow curry, red curry, and rice. It's incredibly tasty. If you are a Thai food lover, try this place out! Yummy food, great service.

The ginger chicken is one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Always amazing service and atmosphere. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years and it’s always been the best! Very friendly owners. I always feel very welcomed and at home here. If you like Thai food you need to come check this place out!

This is an unbelievable Thai restaurant, amazing food. They know SPICE! The food is excellent and the people are so friendly. If you’re looking for excellent and authentic Thai food, you have to stop here if you’re in Joplin.

Everything was outstanding! First time here and now a place to come every two weeks for lunch! Food was super flavorful and just the right spice level. Would give a higher rating if I could.

Food was absolutely amazing. I cannot believe this place is in Joplin! I had the ginger garden chicken lunch special, very flavorful, lots of fresh veggies and chicken. The soup that came with it was also delicious. I will find it hard to eat anywhere else when I come into town for work. Service was equally great. No complaints, all praise!!!

I'm a big fan of Thai cuisine, but I feel a responsibility to warn folks off here. The pad see ew was so overcooked it was as if they had a crate of frozen meals, dumped them in a pot to sit all day and scoop them out as needed. It was so bad. I could say more. I don't want to be too mean here, but pass this place on by.

I love the food, service, the beautiful Thai decor and peaceful atmosphere. The red Thai curry and drunken noodles are phenomenal! I love the lunch special because it has generous portions for delicious food and at a fair price. This is a minority owned business and I’m proud of their hard work! This is my go to Thai restaurant. Food and service is great.

Delicious and satisfying food that I couldn't duplicate at home! Good and fast service. The pot stickers with the sauce was absolutely amazing. The sweet and sour that my wife was a little too sweet but still had a great flavor. The yellow curry was stellar. Deep, rich flavor. When we come back to Joplin we will definitely come here again!

Food was good. Menu said 11.00 for the dish I ordered, when I got there I paid 17.00 cause they charge 3% for using a card. I will probably not eat here again cause I cant afford it.

I saw an ad for this place on the TV screens in some of the local restaurants and I’m glad I came. Kinaree is a gem for Thai cuisine lovers. The Yellow Curry I had was exceptional, striking a perfect balance between the spicy, sweet, and savory , with tender chicken and crisp vegetables all beautifully soaked in rich, flavorful coconut milk. Kinaree delivers an authentic Thai dining experience that’s both flavorful and memorable.

Husband's favorite restaurant in town! Definitely recommend!

This is my favorite Thai place. The service is always friendly and prompt. The Green Curry with tofu is my favorite. I’ve been coming here for over 9 years and it’s been consistently amazing.

Been to several Thai restaurants and they just don’t compare to this one. Different levels of spice or you can pick no spice. Definitely the best!!!

This little gem in Joplin is AMAZING!!! Got the Garlic Chicken & Yellow Curry for dinner. Very good. Spring rolls for appetizer (minus three forgot to take a pic before eating lol - comes with six). Highly recommend if you haven’t tried it yet. Bring cash (they accept all forms of payment but not charging the card machine helps local business)

The service was great and my waitress was wonderful. However, the food was not great. I got the pad Thai, and it was 90% spouts, very few noodles. Also it was extremely soupy. The portion was also quite small and the price was much higher than some of the nearby Thai restaurants. I paid $18 with tip for the pad Thai. Safe to say I won't be going back.

In town for a single night. Reviews looked good for Kinnaree Thai so I chose it for dinner. Nothing fancy. Kind of a diner vibe. Very friendly staff. Now to the important part... the food. I ordered Tom Kha soup and Chicken Panang Curry. They came out fairly quickly but they were scorching hot so I had to wait quite a while to begin eating. I think the ceramic dishes might have been melting. The Tom Kha was about as good as any I've had. The panang curry was quite different. It was not peanut butter based, like the typical American Panang. Not sure which I like better but this is absolutely authentic.

We can't say enough good things about this place. The food and service are both spectacular!

Everyone that works there is very friendly. And the food was wonderful. We had chicken satay and angel eggplant. The grilled chicken with the peanut sauce was great. The vegetables in the eggplant dish were fresh. With the sauce and the basil, it was so flavorful. I wish we lived nearby so we could eat there again.

This place is top notch I was always sceptical about Thai food and my girl friend has loved this place for awhile so we go there it's a small mom and pops place and there wasn't a lot noise and staff is amazing so I thought the food had to be the catch I it couldn't be good and I mean I was wrong if I could give this place a 1 thousand stars I would have it's probably the best place in Joplin to eat 😁😁😁😁 highly recommended to anyone there not afraid to feed you either thanks kinnarree always great!!!!!

A gem in Joplin. Authentic Thai food and staff. Tried the yellow curry and spring rolls. Everything was DELICIOUS 🤤. Everything tasted and came out fresh.

I have only been to Kinnaree Thai once. I heard it was pretty good. It was 7 pm and I ordered takeout. 1 Chicken satay, 1 Pad Thai, and 1 Thai fried rice. First, the owner argued with me about ordering *3 spice. I finally convinced him I was "worthy" of ordering at 🌶️🌶️🌶️ because I have been to Thailand. A big order was placed in a big box. A guy came in to pick up the box, but the owner was too busy explaining the menu in detail to a table to let him pay. Now my food is brought out as well. We are both waiting as our food sits. 5 min later I am able to pay and leave. $43.00!! That seemed too high + a tip. At home, my husband and I tried the satay first. Inedible. The marinade and peanut sauce were good but the chicken was so overdone and DRY we couldn't even bite through some of it. It was like leather, no exaggerating. I can't believe they served it. If we had been eating in the dining room, we would have refused to pay for it. The Pad Thai was okay but nothing special. It was prepared 🌶️🌶️ spice but was not spicy at all and entirely bland. Thai fried rice was SO hot at 🌶️🌶️🌶️ it had to be a mistake - pushing inedible. (Maybe he was making a point. ?) Given the scrutiny while ordering, I expected fairly authentic Thai food. Instead of cooking with short grain or Jasmine rice and Thai peppers (small red Birdseye), they used some tiny dried red (shaker) pepper. The rice was med grain, not long or short grain. Nope. Not the same at all Obviously, they put too much spice in the rice. Nothing for 🌶️🌶️ but almost inedible for 🌶️🌶️🌶️. I called to double check the receipt. I couldn't believe this was $45+ Evidently the horrible satay which we had to throw away was $10. Pad Thai $16 Thai fried rice $14. Really - ? Extremely overpriced. First and last time. 🙄 Save your time and go to Thai Time instead. Inconvenient set up but they have better Pad Thai and delicious Garlic Fried Rice.

No where around makes food to my spice level and they definitely achieved it well. Soooo good.

Good service. Low key and spacious dining room. Food was less than average, unfortunately. Pot stickers were meh. Chicken Pad Thai was soupy in odd tasting broth that was not like anything i have had before. Fried rice came in same soupy broth. Not crispy. Not fried

I highly recommend this restaurant !! The coconut milk curry's are my favorite.The ginger garden is also excellent. The complementary rice soup is amazing. The orders are large and enough for 2 meals for me.The pad thai noodles are 2 or 3 meals for me. The clean and friendly atmosphere is simple w/ a few pictures from Thai Land. The family that run that restaurant are OVER THE TOP WONDERFUL ! These are some of the nicest people I have met in Joplin,Mo. Thank you !!

Terrific hole-in-the-wall place. The curry was flavorful with just the right amount of spice and everything tasted very fresh. We also appreciated the friendly and personable service. I would definitely recommend and would go back again.

Delicious restaurant with great service! The waiter there (I believe he is the owner) was so friendly, he took such good care of us while we were there! The duck curry is incredible, highly recommend! The Pad See Ew was also really tasty and so were the potstickers! I can't wait to go back to try more from the menu!

This is my favorite restaurant in Joplin. They have the Best spring rolls I've ever had. You can make your dishes as mild or spicy as you want.

I would give this place a 4.75 if I could for one reason only, I got a curry and my potatoes were slightly undercooked and so was my fathers. Overall I would highly recommend this place though. The food was very tasty and the whole family loved it, the steamed mussels were great, servings were large and customer service was fantastic. The prices were fair, but expensive compared to other Asian restaurants in the area. Thai Time (a place I rave about) would be an overall better option than this place in my opinion and that’s mainly due to the price difference, Thai Time is significantly cheaper and honestly I would say tastes better too. But that being said this place was great too and I will definitely be back.

Took my son and daughter-in law here for supper. The service was great and the food came out promptly. Has the steamed mussels as an appetizer and they were excellent. The portions were huge. I has the yellow curry rice with pork and it was good. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. The miso soup was great.

We found this gem the other day on a shopping trip to Joplin. Absolutely amazing! The chicken satay was perfect. The red curry was amazing. And the tamarind chicken will have you coming back for more. They offer different levels of heat. The Tom yum was quite and perfectly spicy at 2. Service is top notch. And the owner is a very pleasant gentleman. If you love Thai, this place is a must.

This is the most overpriced restaurant I have been to. The beef tastes like pork and the portion size of the Pad Thai dish is so tiny even though the price is for regular, not lunch. It is ridiculous that you pay a decent price and left the place feeling hungry.

Small place with big flavors. Got the curry chicken and pad Thai and both were delicious and spicy. Service was good and even the owner came by to check on us. I enjoyed having dinner here.

UPDATE: We went back last week and I wanted to get the same thing I got before but couldn't remember. The new dish I tried was just as outstanding and I think this is my new favorite place to eat!!! Holy cow!! The food was delicious and so filling! The staff were so nice and patient with us. The soup / Broth they bring you to begin is exactly the belly warming deliciousness your grandma used to make. I could have it every single day! We tried the mango rice and the first few bites were different because it's not something we're used to in the U.S. BUT OH,MAN!!! It was really good. Kind of reminded me of peach cobbler. We will absolutely be eating there again and again! Also, it is not spicy unless you want it to be

This is a hidden gem in Joplin. The curry dishes and Thai tea are my favorites. Showering Rama is a family favorite as well - the peanut sauce is so good. Great lunch specials until 2.30 p.m. The chairs are a little uncomfortable to me. But the food really makes you forget.

Best Thai place in town. Atmosphere reminds me a bit of Thailand which I rather enjoyed. Service was good but not great (I expect nothing less with authentic restaurants, the US seems to be a bit intense on the customer is always right stance) Food is wonderful. You choose your level of spice. Word to the wise.. if you don't generally eat spicy. Ask for NO SPICE. If you want to cry your eyes out and numb your tongue. Try level 3 (speaking to those of us who don't sit around eating jalapeños or ghost peppers for fun)

This is the best Thai restaurant in the Joplin/Webb City/Carthage/Neosho area, for sure! I love their yellow curry with chicken, as well as the pad thai. The dishes are spiced perfectly, though you don't want to go above a spice level of one if you're a person with a sensitivity to capsaicin. This place is herbally enlightened, in the sense that they use spices like magic. You feel like you're eating food that would survive the scrutiny of Hippocrates and the mantra, "Let thy food be thy medicine." This IS that medicine-esque food. You will leave feeling nourished and improved! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I have many great memories here with family and friends.

Authentic and consistent, I drive out to Joplin once a month just to come eat here. Curry is traditional and if you ask for it spicy they will do just that!

First time coming here to dine in. I love Thai food, and this did not disappoint! Highly recommend the Tom Kha soup. I had the chicken pad thai, and my daughter had an eggpant dish. I truly appreciated that they asked what spice level I wanted because I don't tolerate spicy food very well. We didn't want for anything. Waitress was great!

Level 2 spice is not edible, ate it because I paid for it. Burns your lips, burns your stomach for 2 days, caused horrible stomach cramps, painful exiting your body as well. Wish the waitress would have taken a moment to explain how hot level 2 medium actually is. Could taste nothing but hot. The Tom ka soup was really good and the iced Thai coffee tasted really good. The Red Curry was too spicy at level 2 to even know what the food actually tastes like. Won't be back. My poor stomach is still cramping after 2 days.

Decided to stop in for lunch and get that fresh roll and Pad fix. Overall I enjoyed everything and especially those nicely done fresh rolls. The Pad Se ew was just a little more runny than I like it but still good flavor and nicely done.

I got the Thai hot pad Thai and omg, I eat Carolina Reaper on the regular, this was too hot for me to finish w/o plenty of water. I like that though and the staff warned me sufficiently. Really neat atmosphere inside.

Be sure to try this lovely little Thai place not far from I-44. Woke up with a strong craving for Thai and came to Kinnaree for the first time (and not the last). The restaurant was completely empty and I was worried I had walked in during the very common service break you often have to contend with Asian quisine but out from the kitchen walked the waiter (owner?) who seated me as soon as I walked in. I ordered a Thai coffee, unsweetened iced tea, yellow curry with chicken, and a side of pad Thai. My waiter inquired as to spice level and recommended a 1 as I had never been there before reassuring me if it wasnt spicy enough they would increase it until it was perfect for me. He returned with my drinks and a lovely little bowl of what I think was cabbage and rice soup. The Thai coffee was perfectly sweet and robust. Before I could finish my soup the food was at my table piping hot and fantastically fragrant. The curry was a little thinner than I am used to closer to a soup consistancy. A sweet, salty, spicy bowl of delicious, well rounded and balanced flavors. I don't eat a lot of spicy food while I travel and it was a little more mild than I was expecting but I could still feel a little burn on my chapped lips. The portion was MORE than fair (I have lunch packed for work tonight and possibly tomorrow. The side of pad Thai was perfect not dry nor overly sauced. I would have liked a little spice to it but the flavor was perfection for me. After gobbling the pad thai I found myself too full for much else and my waiter took my plates to pack them to go for me. Overall: Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10

Having eaten in several Thai restaurants including in Thailand this one is only average....Restaurant is clean as is staff. Curry was rather bland and more like a vegetable soup. tiny meat slices in curry were definitely on the tough side. 2 1/2 stars at best on food. Tom Johnston

Love pad see ew and this one wasn't bad at all. Spring rolls and crab rangoon also great. The dipping sauce was very good. The chicken wings were very disappointing however. NO flavor, not cleaned properly, and too expensive. I'd go back but pass on the wings.

My family enjoys this eatery when we're looking for something different in Joplin besides the chain restaurants. My favorite is the Crying Tiger (see attached pic). It has a great flavor. The place is always clean and the service is both helpful and cheerful.

We stopped here during a road trip.. All of our food was on point. Server was patient with us as we got our bearings from being the car for so long.

Great fresh food! I'm a big eater and came out absolutely stuffed. I ordered the appetizer spring rolls and Garlic Chicken lunch portion, and asked for the #3 heat, which is their hottest. The order came with rice soup as well. I got the rice soup right away and it was delicious! The spring rolls (5 large ones!) came next, and they were light, crispy, piping hot. They were delicious without the plum sauce, but dipped in it?! Over the top. I could founder on those alone. Somehow I managed to leave a couple to eat with the Garlic Chicken. It came out pretty quick, and my first bite was pretty hot. It was really good,but the heat kind of overpowered the flavor. My eyes started watering and nose running. That didn't stop me, but I would get the #2 next time. I can't wait to try the next dish!
