Quaint spot for great bourbon tasting. I recommend the Reserve.

So glad my wife and I stopped here and did a tasting! Meeting the owner and getting to try their own creations was such a treat and learning about their story. The cocktails were first class, genuinely top 3 easily, if not the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to get back there!!!

Wonderful experience along our Texas trip. Destiny was super nice and made sure my teen daughter and nephew enjoyed it also! My Old Fashion was top notch!!

Stopped by after noticing them while driving by and wish I could’ve hung out some more because this was the cutest place ever. It’s smelled amazing very well designed and styled & the whiskey is very smooth good flavor! the girl at the front was very sweet as well thank you for your service.

What a cool spot, if you need a drink between Austin and Houston this is the country oasis you've been looking for. The Texas vibes just ooze out of this bar right off 290. Smoked Old Fashioned, You've got to see it to believe it, and you ought to taste it too. Destiny makes an excellent egg yolk froth, and knows her whisky too. Come take a load off, forget your troubles and enjoy some bourbon or rye with some friends you haven't met at Kooper Family Whisky.

stopped by unexpectly due to major accident on 290. Even though they couldn't sell any bottles on Sunday, the server Destiny was super hospitable and still took her time to introduce their whiskeys and let me sample a few. Will definitely stop by again next time I'm driving by!

Stopped on the way back home to 'sample the goods', and foumd these blends to be of very good quality! Left with a couple of bottles to boot. The flights give you a good opportunity to decide what your favorite is, and helped us pick our favorites. Definitely worth the stop!

This is a great place and has an amazing atmosphere! Loved all the whiskies and all are very smooth! Will definitely be back and buy more whiskey from this place. Did not disappoint and if you are in the area, highly recommend you try it.

My boyfriend Stephen and I were on are way back home to Rockport when we seen this unquine place and decided to stop and check it out. When we walked inside I was so shocked to see this beautiful place. They sell different whiskey and they offer you to sample each one and of course my boyfriend really liked one more than others and purchased one. This place is awesome! Was driving by and saw the billboard and decided to stop. You have to try the strawberry bourbon lemonade, made by Destiny! The Kooper Family Barrel Reserve is coming home with me.

Saw the Billboard on 290 and decided to stop in. Destiny was very inviting and gave me a great overview of the products and history. She was awesome and super helpful. Went home with a bottle of the Single Barrel and a cool hat.

A very nice place to chill. Very neat decor and ambiance. Tasting was good presentation with different glassware for each which was a nice touch. Classic county music was right on the money. Drinks...quite good pours.

Ok… I’ve been coming here for the last couple of years and I don’t know why I haven’t written a review before. I have tried all there bottled Bourbons/ whiskey,s and to this day I have not found something I wasn’t happy with… my family members that have tried it before loves them. I can walk in and pick anything on the shelf and I know I will be happy with it. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Bar drinks: I haven’t tried any yet

The tasting room is wonderful from the moment you walk in. The aroma from the barrels is coupled with tasteful decor and music that's not overbearing me. The bartender, Destiny, knows her stuff and came up with great recommendations. I am VERY particular about my spirits and ended up buying a bottle each of bourbon and rye. Worth a special trip.

This place is a hidden gem. Worth the drive from any direction you’re coming. The bartenders are always sweet and very informative of drinks and whiskeys. Ambiance is inviting and true Texas without being over the top or cheesy. Whiskey is great and makes a great old fashioned.

Today is our second time at koopers we enjoyed our experience as much today as we did our first visit. The smoked Old Fashioned is amazing. Bri is an amazing bar tinder and is highly knowledgeable on all things whiskeys.

Darling place with a great aesthetic and a friendly and knowledgeable bartender. We had been wanting to come by, but had a hard time timing our trips between Houston and Austin to coincide with when they are open. I am glad we finally made it in.

Nice roadside treat that I wasn't expecting! I tasted a few of their greats, but being a small batch establishment, they were sold out of some. Still picked up the Sweetheart of the Rodeo, which i liked very much during the tasting. The service was Texas-friendly, a very charming space.

Awesome pit stop on 290 and great tasting Whiskey!

Finally visited after years of threatening to do so.Left wondering what took me so long, right? Brought my friends and their parents who were visiting from Japan. The whole experience was memorable. Destiny started it off with a trip through the various bottles, each of which we got to taste. All are solid expressions, but the Barrel Reserve Rye has a special place in my heart, and on my palette. Michelle made me an old-fashioned with it, and her OF game is strong. Very strong! My friends’ comment: ‘This is as good as yours’. High praise, indeed. :) We all left fully stocked, but will still plan a return visit soon. Gratitude to all! - SteveT

What a great place to buy refined and sophisticated rye whiskey.

My visit was great, I purchased the 7 year rye that released on the 5th of April. Which was Phenomenal! The hospitality was very welcoming. Staff was very friendly. The old fashion was one of the best I tasted in years. I would definitely come back...asking owner to please allow a cigar section or a smoking area. Especially during a long drive... I am a Cigar smoker. And would love a stick after a great sip...Kooper family is great in my books!!

Kooper Family whiskey was an unexpected stop on my way to Cicuit of the America's for Moto GP. Great samples. Super friendly service. The hostess was very knowledgeable and helpful. I fell in love with "The Prodigal Son". The bouquet and tast was balanced. Bought a bottle too.
