Came here with party of three for breakfast and while the food was pretty good the, waiter was soo rude and unfriendly.. I will never go back here. Guy gad such an awful attitude and all of us felt very unwanted and unwelcome… smh

Poor quality food , poor service . Over priced for the food quality and cold coffee

We randomly picked the place and it was a very good decision. We shared the Spinach Quiche, and we had the Fruity Creep (banana and strawberry) with Nutella and the Wild Mushrooms Omelette. All these were really good options. Especially the quiche. The Latte was also really good. The service was fast and the waiter was very nice and friendly.i would definitely recommend coming for brunch.

The indoor seating is small but food and service is good.

Waffle was so dry French toast was yuck with spoiled strawberries and old banana that’s had been in the fridge for how long idk.. Cappuccino was ok Service should be more friendly Too much $$$$$

Came here to explore brunch options close to the city but without crossing the NJ boarded!! And we were not disappointed one bit! The service was exceptional by our barista Ashley and the food was fantastic and was prepared very quickly with perfect results! Me and my girlfriend loved this little cafe and we will for sure be coming back to enjoy this beautiful atmosphere again in the near future!

Went there with my husband and we got the worst experience from a staff member that they were looking at us weird and making faces I guess because we are a gay couple And the food is not even good at all Would not come back

Unfortunately our experience was not great. Service was a bit slow. Although we were waiting on a late guest, it took a while to place our order. When our guests did arrive they didn’t take her order until they were clearing our plates (it wasn’t that busy when we were there). I also witnessed a display of unprofessionalism from the waiter to the kitchen staff. Customers were waiting to use the restroom and he was in there; some of the staff knocked on the door to ask him to hurry up as it had been a while. When it was my turn I hears him yelling at them for knocking and saying people can wait and have respect (for his needs). I’m also convinced we got scammed on the bill. The same waiter who yelled at the staff came to handle the bill- we never saw the total amount as he grabbed my card and swiped. I think he added the tip previously before showing me the tip screen. He walked away quickly before I was able to ask for a receipt. I am in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company. The place was really cute and a more casual spot to hang out on Washington St! I’m really bummed about the experience we had.

Wow guys you need to replace your employees The stuff was very rude . We tried to sit out side and then come in to order a coffee. And he was pissed off that we didn’t first come in and ask for a table or reservations when actually no one was there. Then instead of a nice way to talk to us, he “teach” us how to come to a restaurant. Will never step in this place again

Very clean, fast service. Food is authentic

The egg is over cooked, the potatoes are undercooked. My daughter loves her Nutella crepe though from here. I’m here for the second time and no luck with food so far.

Avoid! Eggs Benedict had cold ham and fake hollandaise sauce. My wife had a soggy microwaved croissant.

Salad was undressed and had a piece of paper or paper towel in it. When I finally got the attention of the server, because he hadn't checked on us at all, there was no apology he simply asked if I wanted another. Salad was basically bagged mixed greens with unwashed cherry tomatoes, raw onion and feta cheese, not to mention a $7 for the addition of a tiny piece chicken. He ended up charging me for the salad. An $80 bill for a burger, papery salad and croque monsieur. I don't have a problem paying a premium for great food and service, especially when local places need support most, but this was so rough and not okay at all.

Decent breakfast/brunch spot that opens nice and early, which is hard to find in Hoboken. Food won't blow you away but they have a nice variety of French and American classics.

First impression, was delightfully surprised by the cleanliness in such a small, quaint little hole in the wall sort of place. There was a group waiting outside to be seated which was a good sign, because the weather wasn’t great. Who waits outside unless it’s good, right? The menu has lots of options, so whether you want a sweet breakfast or a more savory lunch, there’s something for everyone. Also noticed: the all gender restroom, which I always appreciate. After ordering drinks, we did wait a tad longer than I would have expected. While my first sip of my dirty chai with almond milk was satisfactory, and my boyfriend liked the look of his latte with frothy foam milk, a few sips later I came to the conclusion that my iced chai was severely watered down (assuming they pour warm espresso over ice, which is my ultimate pet peeve. It’s 2024 and planning ahead is doable. How are places still doing this? Make the espresso ahead of time and chill it…) Anyhow, the taste of my avocado toast and my boyfriend’s eggs Benedict was truly good. The poached eggs were cooked just right, bursting with their yolk the moment we sliced them open. But the potatoes (while cooked enough to bite into), weren’t seasoned like a downright delicious, greasy set of home fries — you know, the type you really want with your eggs, with just a little crisp and some cracked sea salt. I did appreciate the hot sauce they had on the table, in fact, it was the first hot sauce I’ve ever taken a liking too, but La Bouche didn’t make it, Cholula did. And speaking of which, La Bouche didn’t make any type of “sauce” to drizzle over the farm field greens that were strewn about over my avocado toast or collected in a sad little corner on the plate of my boyfriend’s egg Benedict. Not even EVOO? Come on, no one likes dry mixed greens straight of the box. This makes the dish look unfinished! We also got the zucchini pancakes which were delicious and probably the best item on the table. But then why don’t they put as much effort into their main dishes? These were more like a shareable side. I think the part of our visit that probably was most significant and led me to deduct a full star was the end, when we were asked if one of our places could be cleared that still contained an entire zucchini pancake on it. “No,” I said. “We’re not done.” As the bus boy reached for the plate. “No,” my boyfriend tried again. “We’re still working on it.” We took one to two more bites before another waitress walked over and simply said “let me clear your plates,” and proceeded to clear them before we could even utter a single word. There was still food on all of our plates at this point, to be clear. La Bouche? More like La Pouche You Out. Regardless, there aren’t many quick and clean, relatively yummy brunch spots in Hoboken as you’d think, so we’ll probably be back. But we probably won’t wait outside in the cold for a table. Sorry, I don’t beat around the Bouche.

Loved it. Cute brunch place to visit. It’s BYOB for mimosas! Highly recommend the Bacon & Egg omelet and Crossiant french toast. Service was 10/10. We were seated immediately for table of 3. The place is very small, not big group friendly.

The service was 10/10. We did not have reservations, and they set us at the bar. The food was delicious.  I ordered the omelet of the day with an additional croissant. We enjoyed the live music on Sunday. They were hosting a bday party, and the environment was very festive and friendly

Room for improvement. Ordered the Eggs Benedict, it looked really good but the eggs were extremely overcooked and the dish was cold. They offered to remake it but I instead swapped for a waffle that was ok. No free refills on the coffee which is disappointing.

We ended up here as a last-minute breakfast option. This place was just okay. Nothing stood out. The food was okay. The service could have been better & the atmosphere was blah. I don't find a need a patron this establishment again.

The food took a long time to come out and was cold. The lettuce on the side was undressed and all ingredients in the Croque were pushed to one side. The egg yolk was broken before I got the plate.

Zucchini pancakes were great! Everything else was ok. Didn’t have to wait in line on a Saturday morning, so that was nice!

Loved ordering brunch from this place, but sadly they have been indefinitely closed since the beginning of August 2023, no signs on the storefront and no one answers the phone and no notice on their website.

Came on Sunday for brunch. Potatoes were legitimately cold, not warm. It tasted like they microwaved them, because some spots in the center were hot. Ordered a London Fog- and got warm milk steeping a teabag. My friends got cappuccinos, and were both unhappy with it. No coffee, just milk tasting. The hot sauce on the table is in a cholula bottle, but it's Tabasco. If it isn't Tabasco, it's certainly not cholula rip. Server was sweet, but didn't check on us much. They were really busy though. Was dissatisfied, thought atmosphere and menu looked phenomenal. Disappointed my that my excitement fell throughout the experience 😒

The best omelette I can remember right now!!! With a great lemonade 🍋. Lovely ambience and superb service. One of our favorite places in Hoboken now.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in a long time at a restaurant. I ordered a brioche French toast and my mom ordered a salmon egg benedict. Both dishes came out literally 2-3 minutes after we placed the order which was odd and to add to it the food was cold. The french toast was dry and literally seemed like they just barely warmed it up in the microwave. No one checked on us to see how the food was or if we needed anything. I wouldn’t recommend this place, please try anywhere else.

Very beautiful inside! Was instantly seated and the food beats any of my brunch expectations! It was delicious and presented very beautifully. I couldn’t help but want to eat all the dishes on the table.

The food was amazing! I recommend the brioche french toast and the Nutella crepe. Definitely a great place to be. The waiter was attentively and gave "eggcellent" service. (That was his pun). I recommend it 100%.

Visited this cozy little spot and while the ambiance was absolutely beautiful, I have to say that the food was just alright. Don't get me wrong - it's definitely a great option if you're in the neighborhood and don't feel like cooking. We ordered the waffles topped with fruits and chocolate, as well as their Homemade Quiche. While both dishes were tasty, they didn't necessarily blow us away. That being said, the atmosphere of this place definitely made up for it. It's cozy and charming, making it the perfect spot for a lazy brunch or weekend breakfast. One thing that really stood out to me was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. It's always great to come across a restaurant with such a warm and welcoming vibe. We did notice from reading other people's comments that this spot is known for their omelets, so perhaps that's something to try next time. I'm definitely willing to give it another shot, especially given the great service and charming ambiance. Overall, if you're in the mood for a cozy brunch spot in Hoboken, this place is one of them.

La Bouche is a lovely euro style eatery. The attention you receive is warm and welcoming. I had the French burger and it was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. There's a calmness to La Bouche that I wouldn't trade for the trendiest place. I'll return.

Food was pretty good, adequately priced but the server must have been having a bad day. "Good morning"... no response. A person in my party asked for an item and the server turned to face them, put two hands up and said "I'm getting it I only have two hands." Really rude. Again everyone has off days but no one deserves to be on the receiving end...

Nicely accommodated my reservation for a party of 5. My eggs were poached perfectly, and the smoked salmon was delightful; not fishy and not too salty. Exceeded expectations.

Visited a few days ago and enjoyed the quant charm of this restaurant. The reason for the four stars is the Benedict I ordered wasn’t prepared correctly. The eggs were hard and it was in a thick piece of bread which I found very odd. Would likely return but will simply try something different next time.

Lovely spot, great host. The food however, was just alright. It was not bad but jot as good as we expected. We went here for brunch on Sunday Jan 1 and got a table immediately. We tried Brioche French Toast, Croissant French Toast, Croissant Egg & Cheese, and omelette. The croissant was chewy and didn’t seem fresh same with French toast , brioche was a little dry.

Went on a Saturday morning. The staff was friendly and prompt. The food was good, had the Greek omelet. The food uses seasoning as an accent, so preserving the natural flavor of the food. To some, that might seem bland, but it works well for them.

Very poor customer service. We asked if they could change something on our order and their answer was that they were too busy to accommodate the change and we were free to leave any time… sad

I ordered the French burger and pome frites. The burger was straight up disgusting. The only thing that I was able to taste was the absurdly overpowering blue cheese because of Just how much they add. It was gag worthy. I wasn't able to finish my meal, left it there. Service wasn't noteworthy, took our order brought our food. That's it. My partner was able to finish her burger Bouche, she said it was good but that she didn't like the absurd amount of cheese. I've seen some reviews to which the owner respond. If you're going to respond I'd like you to first eat the French burger with a table spoon of blue cheese first then respond.

Worst attitude and worst service .The server spilled coffee on my husband’s menu and did not even ask if he could wipe it or change, well that was okay.Than came the worst tasting food where the quiche smelled funny and the feta cheese on the avocado toast wasn’t good either.Never ever would go there again or recommend this place.The Nutella crepe was over cooked, the oil was coming out of the chocolate and the banana were big chunks

The owner is unbelievably rude and disrespectful! When I questioned the owner about a reservation fee, he asked me if I could read. The food was overpriced and tasteless. In addition to the unnecessary fees, the service was horrible. DO NOT EAT HERE!! To your response: our server was notified about the omelets being overcooked. As for the rudeness, the owner point blank asked me if l could read. There is no argument there. Also, we asked if it was okay to stay and finish our drinks, and we were told that that was fine. As for time, it was three hours, not four (10:30 AM - 1:30 PM). There was no wait and plenty of tables available. Regardless, the owner/manager is/was rude and disrespectful.

Excellent Belgium waffles and egg Benedict, the coffee is amazing! The staff is courteous, a perfect spot for a summer brunch! Do remember to take a stroll by the river.

Great location for a simple morning brunch.

Went here for brunch today. There were bugs in the lettuce which got all over our food. I’m a really easy going person, but this was pretty gross. We asked for new plates and instead of remaking our meals they just put them on new plates. I figured everything would be ok but the bugs had gotten into everting and as I picked up a piece of bacon a bug crawled onto my thumb. I understand that things happen, but the staff wasn’t apologetic at all and just blamed it on organic produce. Don’t they wash the lettuce? On top of all of that when the check came they tried to charge me for the food and even gave me push back for the side of bacon. 100% will never come back here. It’s not even about the food it’s about the lack of transparency and the fact that staff didn’t even remotely care. The food looks good here but I didn’t get to really eat it. I do not recommend.

The crepes weren’t great so I’m not going back. The server was good and it was a cute place.

Food was spectacular as was the ambiance. Only criticism was our table, as the others, never got refills in on beverages, never checked on us once and we had to ask for the check. Food came out fast and was outstanding. Fix those minor issues, you're golden

Randomly selected this restaurant on our way home after visiting Manhattan. Great surprise! Food was delicious, lady was very nice and food came out pretty quick too. It's small inside but outside seating was available. Ordered the Croque Forestière, pomme frites and an Arnold Palmer. Definitely would visit again

I came here with a group of four on a Saturday morning for brunch. The ambience and the conversation was excellent but the food wasn't as tasty as we expected. We ordered three items, brioche french toast, fruity crepe, and the ham omelette. The brioche french toast was not soft and seemed dried out. The crepe was larger than we expected but the texture was very thin and fell apart which made it difficult to eat. Finally, the omelette was my favorite item on the menu and came with a large portion size. However nothing stood out in terms of flavor. While the location and ambience were great, we were disappointed overall with the food quality given the cost.

We love this place. The food is always excellent, made with love, and the wait staff makes it feel like you are family. The coffee is to die for as well. If you are in the area, make this your go to.

The food and service were both very good, we had a party of seven and everyone enjoyed their meals. just don't get the additional charges on my bill, one was a cover fee for 2.00 per person and because we brought in champagne they charged a additional 3.00 per person. I think they should tell you about these charges when making reservations

Good food but poor service. We were asked to leave in 45 min while still eating because of their 'rule' that each table can only be reserved for 45 minute, however we did not see this rule being applied to other tables. Indeed, a group that was dining outdoors when we arrived was still comfortably seated when we exited after being asked to wrap up and leave. ETA : Contrary to the response below, I am afraid to say we were never informed about the 45 minute rule when being seated. The first we heard about it was when we were asked to wrap up and leave. We were quite taken aback by the service and needless to say, are unlikely to be back.

My boyfriend and I Went for Brunch today and it was AMAZING ! Great food and great service . Bob is so kind and truly runs his business like a family oriented one . His kind demeanor was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We are very much excited to go back next Sunday for brunch ! Highly recommended !!!!! Food and customer service is amazing

Went for outdoor dining this weekend during the really nice weather and loved it! It was easy to reserve a table ahead of time, and a we were seated on the sidewalk in the sunshine. The food was delicious and I will definitely go back to try their other menu items. I had the salted caramel waffle and my friend had the spicy mushroom omelet. We each ate the whole thing.

Very Good Food , A nice cozy place !! Bad service .. The waitress hesitate to give me a table , kinda didn’t wanted me there . Probably because I was wearing work clothes but not dirty , and when I got my table she treated me like a charity costumer very unfriendly. The tall guy there , I assume he is the owner was very nice and friendly .

One of my favorite spots in Hoboken since I moved here in 2012. It's so nice to have that European atmosphere and taste here in the states when travel is so limited. I love their benedict, with a cup of warm coffee. I just ordered take out from them for the first time, and they did not disappoint.

Absolutely delicious breakfast— my children are now spoiled for life after having their waffles.

I ordered takeout from here for a Mother's Day social distancing brunch. They exceeded my expectations! I placed my order the day before and the next morning they had my large order ready to go with all the bags packed and labeled. They even included a DELICIOUS free brownie on the house! All of the food was exceptional. We ordered some omelettes, the croque madame, the quiche, the goat cheese salad and the nutella crepe. All delectable! Top notch service and quality all around. I'm looking forward to returning once this lockdown is over as their space is so cute!

the cafe is very well appointed with plants and a chic vibe but the food here upset my tummy I was in the bathroom all day. It was also not tasty at all. But they do have quite friendly customer service
