This place is classic italian... Vincenzo is the owner great personality...large portions. Show up hungry. The garlic bread is the best I had ... hands down.

Made reservations on Google and after I called to confirm they said they don't take reservations on Google and it says that on their web site so I got on their website and no where does it say they don't take reservations over google!! My family and myself were at the beach all day thinking we had dinner reservations for 7:15 but when I call to confirm they say they can't get us in til 8:15!!! We have an 11 month old and that is way to late!!! Very disappointed with this "FAMILY" RESTAURANT!!! THEY GET A ZERO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Food was fabulous 😋 EVERYTHING we ordered was absolutely amazing. Although filled to capacity from dinner felt like we HAD to get dessert. .Oh my goodness they were beyond expectations. Do not miss this restaurant..it is an experience in excellence.

Absolutely fantastic meal, had veal Marsala and lobster ravioli

We just dined at La Dolce Vita and couldn't have had a better Italian meal if we cooked it at home! The Chicken Parmesan portion was extremely generous and delicious and the Lobster Ravioli special with shrimp in the sauce was probably one of the best if not the best I've ever had. Dessert was their homemade Tiramisu and we've had this dessert at many a restaurant. This Tiramisu was by far the BEST we've ever had. The lady fingers were delicate not soggy and the flavors of coffee and chocolate mixed with the mascarpone were perfectly blended. We had a brief conversation with the owner Vicenzo and offered our delight in our choices and assured him we would be back quite often! We encourage you all to dine there as well! You will not be disappointed.

From the introduction by the owner to the restaurant, to the wait staff, to the absolutely fabulous food. This was a top-notch dining experience. There is not a lot of room in the restaurant, so make sure to make a reservation, but this place is really well worth every penny. You feel like you’re dining in the owners home and the pasta, sauces, are all home made on site. Can’t wait to go back.

The food was good. The atmosphere was ok. We were never sure who our server was, different people came to the table. We had to ask for our check. We may try it again.

The staff is wonderful! The owner is in the dining room daily and speaks with the guests. The food is undeniably delicious and fresh. The prices are remarkable. This is a new favorite.

This is a little gem of a restaurant, and Vincenzo is the perfect host. The food was perfectly prepared and delightfully seasoned, and our party of three was well served by the attentive staff. We had a few adjustments to our dishes, and they were carried out as requested. Seafood Diablo, Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, and broiled flounder were all excellent. We'll be going back!

I've eaten here a few times now and the service has been completely lacking. The chicken marsalis tasted like it was microwaved. The vodka pasta tasted kind of like sweet potatoes. The chicken piccata was good. After our meal was served nobody came by to make sure that we needed anything else or if everything was okay. There's better restaurants around that serve better food and have better service. Just saying.

This small cozy Italian restaurant is a true gem I in Sussex county. The food was incredible. The service was excellent . definitely a return visit is planned

This is a hidden gem We had clams casino , best veal ever, fresh made pasta, and teramisu. Reservations are a must ! Enjoyed it so much, we are reserved for this weekend

Been to a lot of Italian restaurants since I have been in Delaware, this is a little place tucked in the side of a group of businesses. I can tell you it was the best meal and some of the best service I have had in a while. Will definitely be going back soon!

Very impressed with the food and the hospitality. We all had different dinners and all were incredible. I have never had better Italian in Delaware and easily this compares to Italy and NYC for authenticity and flavor. Grazie Vincenzo!

This is classic family driven Italian restaurant. The food is incredible, freshly made pasta and vibrant flavors. Classic entree items. This isn't fancy nouvelle cuisine. It's hearty and authentic. Well work the sort trip.

Thee Place in Long Neck You don’t come here for fancy, smanchy overpriced appetizers or pay for the ambiance…. BUT, if you love great Italian food and wonderful hosts this is the place. Took the family here when all were in town for Christmas and had such a delightful evening in a warm, cozy setting with enticing smells of the kitchen wafting thru the dining area. Food is always top notch and the service is excellent. What a value! Highly recommend!

I ordered takeout but when I walked in to pick it up, the place looked and smelled AMAZING! I ordered the chicken parm and it was big enough for my fiancé and I to share, plus leftovers for my lunch today. It was delicious! Definitely recommend! I can't wait to order again. **Update I have been ordering the same item from this restaurant for months, Chicken Parmesean. Tonight, i order the same but was suprised to find only one piece of chicken. Every other time it was two pieces. I called to find out what happened and was met with a cocky, arrogant attitude from a woman who then proceeded to hang up on me. I was a die hard fan but will never give them my service again.

Oh my, what an experience! The restaurant is right next to a gas station, so it isn't an impressive building. However, go inside and you will have the best Italian food. The chef comes out, greets every customer and cooks everything from scratch, and you can tell too. This place is at the top of our list of best restaurants. It is about 800 miles from our home, but we may make more trips out to Delaware just to eat here again. Reservations are recommended

Went to La Dolce Vita on our trip to Rehoboth Beach and found the food to be top-notch. We got the Eggplant Parm and the Fettucine Alfredo. The owner Vincenzo stopped by our table and introduced himself as well, and seemed to really care about the experience of each guest. Would highly recommend stopping here!

LDV is a family owned business, and the restaurant is quaint and intimate so MAKE A Reservation prior to your arrival because seating is limited. From the time you arrive, to the time you depart, you will be warmly and kindly received. And varying selections by Andrea Bocelli will softly serenade you while you dine. Chef Vince will personally greet you and welcome you prior to placing your order and he will personally see you out. Not only was my stomach happy and full this evening, but my heart was equally as full! Thank you La Dolce Vita for helping to make our summer, family vacation extra special and nice. We very much look forward to our next visit!

Wanted to try a local place and found LA Dolce Vita. (Reservations required) Once we were seated, the owner came to introduce himself. He is a lovely man. We had the appetizer special: Crab and shrimp stuffed pepper. It was out of this world. I tried the rigatoni special, it had shrimp vegetables and a light cream sauce. It was delicious. My husband has the veal and raved about it. He is still telling our friends about the veal. We shared a homemade cannoli for desert. It was a wonderful dinner. Thank you Vincenzo, we will be back soon.

Celiac safe haven! The meals are made to order and they offer gluten free pasta 💕 they took the most care with my meal to ensure it was COMPLETELY gluten free!

Salad came With Ken’s dressing packet. Marsala sauce had no flavor and was gummy. Chicken was tough and Marsala pasta already had red sauce.

I was immediately both impressed as well as comforted when the owner shook my have and said,"Welcome home" as I was greeted upon walking in. The decor is sheik and classy and to describe the wait staff,... excellent wouldn't begin to describe the tactfulness, attention to detail, as well as friendliness that the wait staff show everyone who eats at this fine authentic Italian restaurant.,. "Three Thumbs up"!!!

The fish was very bad past "expiration date." Spaghetti is overcooked. Test like was reheated. Even the bread was old! Never go there again, never recommended!!!

My husband and I love this place. Granted, the interior is very dated, but that is kind of part of its charm. I always get the veal Alaska, and my husband gets lasagne, spaghetti in meat sauce or something like it. The owner, Vincenzo, personally stops by every table. It's a Long Neck staple.

This restaurant is a gem. The best Italian I’ve had, and I’ve dined at many places in NYC - there’s no comparison! Vincenzo was such a pleasure to meet, his food was prepared with such love and to top it off, he is an inspiration! 5++ stars! Expect to be a regular!

Delicious food, great staff the seafood Diablo pasta was 10/10(garlic bread was so good)the special app of the night chicken meatballs were very tender and flavorful. They also have the BEST tiramisu so light and wonderful I really enjoyed it. Definitely will be back

We’ve tried a few times to get a reservation or “walk in” but could not crack the code. We finally secured a 7:30 reservation on a Thursday night in December - the place was packed. You could tell by the buzz, many were locals/repeat customers - and everyone knew and talked with Vincenzo, proud owner. He chatted with us (first timers) and we had many things in common - he is so personable, interesting and has some Philly roots! We were served by Brad and Shana - busy, efficient and friendly servers. Yes, the food was delicious - eggplant parm was a home run (I’m picky) and my husband had the rock fish/crabmeat meal - both came with fresh and nice size salad with warm bread. Cocktails were nicely priced and a “good pour”. The red sauce stood out to us and very tasty. I can see why it’s hard to get a reservation but be patient and persistent - we’ll be back soon!

The best escargot appetizer in Delaware. Our meals were delicious. They have a wide variety of Italian dishes, you'll have no problem finding something. The wait staff is great. The owner of the restaurant visits each table and offers his suggestions on what is exceptional. A nice touch. Make reservations the restaurant gets filled quickly.

What an amazing find this little restaurant was! We didn't have reservations as suggested but we arrived early evening and were seated immediately. As soon as our server took our drink order the owner came to our table and introduced himself, asked if we had been there before and told us that he and his son we both master chefs, told us to take our time and enjoy our meal. He said that everything was made to order so it might take a little extra time. It didn't take long before the place started filling up. Our food was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are sure that this will be a regular dining place for us.

This was a delightful dining experience. The owner came over and greeted us warmly after we were seated. The staff was exceptional and informative. The meals were delicious and so reasonably priced. Parking was plentiful and we will absolutely be back. By the end of the meal we felt like part of the family.

Stopped at this restaurant for dinner one night. Quickly found out that you need reservations. So, I highly recommend making reservations to dine at La Dolce Vita. I've found that if an Italian restaurant can't make a decent lasagna, it's not worth going back. So, we made reservations for 2 more visits this month! I am always skeptical when a restaurant advertises New York Style Cheesecake. Then I was told it was made in house and I was saddened because, well. If you know, you know. After taking a bite, I was pleasantly surprised, possibly the best cheesecake I have had in a long, long time. Kudos! Vince, the owner, came by our table several times to check on us. I told him his lasagna brought tears to my eyes. He said, "like your mom used to make?" My mom was a great cook, but my grandmother even better. I said to him, " no, like my grandmom!" Treat yourself to a gem next time you are in the area.

We have been to this restaurant 12/15 times in last 18 months Last visit waited over 1hr to get food after we ordered. Tonight we walked out after 1 hr 15 mins. Two tables sat after we ordered, both got apps and meals,we got nothing.

The best Italian restaurant in Sussex county. Vince and his family welcome you “home”, the minute you walk in the door. Not a “quick dinner” type place. Go in and stay a while; everything is house made. There’s not a bad taste that comes out of that kitchen!
