Tried every empanada and they were all amazing. Fantastic service and a great atmosphere.

My first time to this restaurant the food was great will recommend to friends and family 😁

I'll start by saying that I'm not Puerto Rican, but I have been to the island four times and visited friends there who took me to eat at real, local places, so I'm pretty well acquainted with Puerto Rican food. My wife and I stopped by for lunch. This was by far the best mofongo I've ever had outside of Puerto Rico. The degree of ripeness of the plantain, the texture resulting from the frying time, it was fantastic! Rather than getting it with pork skins (chicharrones) we got it with fried pork (called "carne frita" on the menu) which was similar to chicharrón the way it is prepared in South America. The starchy plantain and the crisp, juicy pork perfectly complemented each other. We thought it might not be enough for two, so we ordered a side order of yuca with mojo which came in a darling miniature pot. Boy were we wrong! The mofongo was easily enough for two as we barely finished and enjoyed the yuca at home later that day. The atmosphere was Lively with salsa music playing, the decor had Puerto Rican Carnival masks and pictures of artists on the walls. The service was impeccable, smiling and enthusiastic from greeting us when we first walked in, to taking our orders and bringing them, all the way to bringing the check. The other waiter there also was brimming with enthusiasm. From the accent, we also noticed that plenty of the other people sitting and dining or picking up takeout were Puerto Rican. That tells you the food is authentic. I will definitely be back!

Emmanuel was our server and he was very nice, and quick with our food. He told me not to worry about the mess, since my daughters threw rice all over the ground lol. I felt reassured that he wasn’t worried about it and it wouldn’t be a problem to clean up. The restaurant is very clean, and the paintings are nicely done. The last thing I’d have to say is the portion of the food was worth the price. :)

My husband and I Love the food we felt like we were back in Puerto Rico. However, the ambience could use a little help. The tables were small. The chairs were very uncomfortable. However, this will not stop us from going back again😋😋😋

Stop scrolling and just go! This is authentic Puerto Rican dining. The trifongo and mofongo are outstanding. We had one with peril and the other with pork chunks. Both were on point! Our waiter Manuel was courteous , efficient and made my husband and I feel like family:) This is our third visit and will be back!

Delicious!!! It is a must if you would like to taste PR food far away from home and you are close by. No matter if you have to drive an hour… it worth it. Our server, Manuel, was amazing. Only issue we had was the parking… not much parking lots for each local… but do not worry… find where to park and enjoy the experience.

This place is crazy good. I love Mofongo and now I got to try Trifongo. Definitely coming back again. I strongly recommend this place. And…YES…the mojitos are excellent.

I usually love the food here , but today I happen to call to make an order for take out , as soon as the guy picked up the phone you can tell he already had an attitude … so I proceeded with my order and explain to him if he can help me out with my order & that I pretty much remember what I had but wasn’t sure what it was called but before I can even finish talking he interrupted by saying they’re closing soon mind you is still early . I had more than enough time to tell him what I would like and it would been nice if he can help but I guess not . I told him just to forget about it since he was bothered , obviously he didn’t care he clearly hanged up . Very unprofessional & rude there’s no need to be mean I’ll definitely won’t be dining or ordering here again .

8/17/2024 - We drove 40 mins from Boca Raton to this location cause no restaurant in south Florida can make Puerto Rican food like them from the minute you walk in it feels like you stepped onto the island of Puerto Rico our waiter Manuel was awesome and the owner always has a smile to welcome you, Thank you to the whole staff cooks as well, 8/23/2024 Sorry that was the first time I went again today and I had the same waiter and I took my whole family mom even came down from New York and she had the best time when I tell you they treated us like family it was awesome and if you have been here you know they had a conga set in the back by the restroom my husband was honored to buy the whole set,I promise you your money is well spent here and the atmosphere is awesome please visit at least once I promise you’ll be back❤️

I want to tell you that I follow Empanada Loca and have been with them since the second week they were there. The owners are very helpful and it is a pleasure to be with them. The first time it seemed like they had known us all their lives, that's what Puerto Ricans are like. It feels like you are at home. I give it 10 out of 10 for its food, its drinks, and the piña colada transports me to my island Puerto Rico, its generosity is out of this world. Best Puerto Rican food in Florida!!!!!

Couple of my friends recommended this place and finally I made it there. Let me tell you that I regret not going sooner the food is delicious 😋. The mofongo was incredible. My husband pork was delicious too. The service was excellent! I can't wait to go back.

These are some of the best empanadas I've ever had. The staff was so friendly and all of my.choices were delicious. I got the Cuban, Chicken and Cheese and Ham and Cheese. SO DELICIOUS!

Rude obnoxious food runner, food is very good but the prices are high for Spanish food, which would not be bad if the portion was larger, but it was small and didn't not justify the price. Solid 3 stars.

I visited this place for the first time today and Emmanuel was our server. He was very nice and respectful and very knowledgeable of the menu. Our drinks and appetizers came quick and they were perfect. Soon after we were done our dinner arrived and it was like eating in Puerto Rico, everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend anyone to visit this place and try the Piña Colada with alcohol, it was delicious.

Omgoodness this lil hole in the wall is the spot, you walk in & first thing u hear the salsa music playn, then the guy a flaquito I forgot his name, is awesome. Love the hospitality, then came the deliciousness of food, we had sorullitos for appetizer then the Chulata kankan was the bomb, it was well cooked the cuerito was crunchy & them beans were so gooood. I don't even eat beans pero that jugito ( juice) had flavor, pieces of ham & papa's. I tore it up. Will definitely be back, even if I gotta drive 2 hrs going & going. It was worth it. ❤️

First time here and this is our new favorite Puerto Rican spot. Everything was amazing. The bistec with white rice and the most amazing Habichuelas. Mofongo con carne frita...WoW!!! Papa Renena, Bacalaito, Alcapurria, can't decide which was my favorite, but they were all fire. Didn't catch her name but our server, The Birthday Girl was awsome. OMG!!!!! That’s all I can say but since this is a review, let’s start with the appetizers. Alcapurria, relleno de papá, and bacalaitos were on point. Savory and not over done. Had the carne frita with mofongo and it was so delicious my jaw dropped when I saw it and it dropped again when I ate it. The arroz con gandules beat my moms. Sorry mom. I am definitely spreading the word to all I know. Check it out!!

I didn't eat at the place, but the person who received me was a little strong since he said that if the food ran out, he wouldn't prepare anything else. We had to order whatever was available at the time that was somewhat understandable, but we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes to see if they would serve us. Possibly I waited all that time and couldn't eat, it was taking a risk, but I backed out. Unfortunately my comment since I am Puerto Rican and I am supposed to support another Puerto Rican. Our first time being able to make it in to try La Empanada Loca after a few failed attempts. It was prime time 6 pm on a Friday night, so I was hoping it wasn't jammed up because I know it's not a huge place. Well, the wait was 45 min to an hour. We almost lost hope after that news being that we were starving, but we stuck it out. Miracles do happen and the owner called me back in 10 minutes telling me a table was opening up. The place is divided into 2 areas. When you enter, it's kind of like a "to go" kitchen where a lot of people place orders and pick up and leave. Then then dining area which looked to have about 15 tables. We ordered the maduro and beef empanada which were just awesome. The alcapurria and pastele. Both of which you do NOT find in a normal restaurant often and both were fresh and solid! My wife and I for entree both ordered a trifongo, one with pernil and one with skirt steak. The pernil was insane. We can tell this was freshly made pork and it was mashed into the mofongo. The skirt steak, cooked perfectly and very tasty. Only thing was it wasn't hot when it came out. Not a big deal, I still crushed it in just a few minutes. This place is awesome. The wait staff extremely helpful and active. This food is authentic puerto rican food and I will 100% be back soon. Come hungry !!

We bought 2 entrees of steak with white rice and red beans for the kids, an order of tostones (pressed fried green plantains), 2 beef empanadas, 2 pizza empanadas, 3 sorullos (fried crispy corn with cheese finger type appetizers), 1 Medalla Light beer (doesn't feel light at all 😂😂) a Passion Fruit Mojito and 2 sodas. Everything was good, I recommend you all to swing by and try it.

The food is delicious, I went the other day and got some stuff to go. Pork empanada, sorullitos… (so good) pasteles, alcapurrias and finally a guava and cheese empanada. First when I left we noticed we didn’t have the alcapurias, went back and got them… not a huge deal… the problem was that we left the guava/cheese empanada for desert that night.. and when I cut it in half??? It was a chicken empanada 😩 … I think the guys in that kitchen… behind that wall, need to put a little more effort in getting the orders right…. It’s ok to joke around all they want… just double check the orders… anyway, I will definitely keep going back!!! Me quedé con el antojo de la empanada y quiero mas sorrullos 😋

We were a party of 7 and our first time at La Empanada Loca. We loved it!!!! Our beautiful server Savanna did a fabulous job. I highly recommend everyone to come and try it out! The Puerto Rican food was authentic and delicious!!! Bon appétit

This was a 5* experience for lunch. I had a tamale (nothing like Mexican tamale but delicious), the pastelon empanada was awesome (very unique compared to others I have tried before but wonderful and fresh taste), the papa locas which was French fries, with meats and cheese/garlic sauce. The service was great. I believe the 2 girls were Savannah and Sam. I also got empanada’s and desert to go. I will definitely be back.
