We met cousins from California. The concierge in their hotel, The Element by Westin in Harrison recommended this restaurant. Starting with the foam on the espresso martini all the way to the desserts, everything was perfect. The most entertaining part was watching Angelo describe the specials of the night, obviously very proud of the selections, and super knowledgeable about the preparation. It is clear that this restaurant is a pert of him. The spinach croquettes (special appetizer) were absolutely heavenly, and so unusual. All other appetizers, entrees and dessert were wonderful, topped off by the personality and attentiveness of the staff made for a truly memorable dining experience. Highly RECOMMEND!

While staying in Harrison I was yearning for some good Italian food and a co-worker suggested we come here. We were greeted at the door by the host/manager who was very engaging and stayed helpful throughout our entire dining experience! The menu is loaded with lots of interesting and tempting specialties, more so than most Italian joints. They have a huge selection of veal in the veal section of the menu! They have four soups to choose from, lots of house made pastas and many other dishes as well. They started us with their complimentary bruschetta which was very fresh and tasted great! Their table bread was really good and came out nice and warm. I started with pasta fagioli and it was really nice – no meat, but lots of white beans and pipette style pasta. My entrée was their ham and fontina stuffed chicken with marsala sauce – it was AMAZING! The veggies that came with it were great too, especially the potatoes. But that chicken couldn’t have been more flavorful and perfectly prepared on its own – add to it that amazing marsala sauce and it was truly an incredible dish! I wanted some pasta too, so I got a side of Bolognese. It was quite a big side and I didn’t think I’d finish it, but once I started eating it, I couldn’t stop. It was incredible! The sauce was amazing! They have plenty of cocktails and a nice wine list too. I’ll most definitely return when back in the area!!

1st time coming to this restaurant and wasn't disappointed. Outstanding ambiance, service and food. My partner and i had the beef lasagna with marinara sauce, calamari and penne vodka. The special touch was the birthday tiramisu. The main host heard that I was celebrating my birthday. He took it upon himself that was totally unexpected. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. Haven’t left a Google or yelp review in my 32 years but had to make sure to give credit where it’s due. Angelo is an exceptional manager with a staff that will have you feeling like you are taken care of and dining at home. Service is top tier, food is top tier. Drinks and specials as well, there’s a reason they don’t advertise much, because this place speaks for itself. If you’re looking for a classic dine out experience, look no further than this hidden gem.

Hidden gem! Angelo the manager and the rest of the staff are amazing; they are very kind, fast and very impressionable. The food is also delicious everything is fresh and made with love. I will be a regular here. P.S happy hour menu is phenomenal.

Nice neighborhood restaurant, family ambiance. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and the food was excellent. My wife had the homemade gnocchi and loved it! I had the lobster ravioli and it was fantastic. Definitely recommend. The Tiramisu was also homemade and creamy with just the right amount of coffee:)

Excellent restaurant. My dad recommended it and he was right on. The owner greeted me like he knew me my whole life. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was fantastic. I would definitely come back here and recommended it to anyone.

Visited while going to New York. This place went above and beyond on everything. The place looks small when going inside but once you’re in it’s decorated very fashionably and clean. Service was friendly, quick and responsive. The food was absolutely delicious. Starting off with the calamari it was fresh and super tender. Our main dishes were impeccable, from taste to plating no complaints. Highly recommend this restaurant a must try if in the area.

Definitely lived up to the hype , eggplant rollatini was cooked so perfectly, the filling was just the right consistency, chicken parm and spaghetti was amazing and the side of penne vodka was great , staff was as attentive as can be , and atmosphere was just how i like it as opposed to the big chain restaurants, definitely worth checking out

Seafood was really tough. Also they have lunch menu and dinner menu, and it’s almost the same, but price is so different! My friend ordered coke and waiter forgot about it. Bar menu is only for bar, and different is so much if you are going to take it at the table. It wasn’t nice experience and our waiter didn’t ask about it at all. I wanted to tell that everything was awful, but he didn’t ask. Restroom has a really bad smell. That bread that was in the beginning like appetizers was really good. And that’s why I put 2 stars.

Jessica was great. She gave a nice description of the menu. Minestrone was perfect. Not to salty. Chicken Piccata came with roasted potatoes and broccoli. Perfectly cooked with the right amount of capers. I will return when I fly back to Newark.

The most welcoming, delicious and super service

It was the first time there and the drinks, service and atmosphere were all very enjoyable. I had the steak with the salad on the side and it was so flavorful. The servers were excellent and so friendly.

My boyfriend and I ate here based upon the reviews. The reviews are accurate and the restaurant did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was really good as well as the pitcher of Sangria that we had. I loved the complimentary bruschetta as well. The food was reasonably priced. I didn’t think there was a restaurant that could compete with Fornos but I think Fornos now has competition.. :)

Went in Friday the 17th for the anniversary celebration and was overly impressed. This was my first time there and will not be my last. The food was extraordinary and the service was impeccable. The owner was absolutely amazing and friendly. He came over to our table a few times to check in with us which we really appreciated. Highly recommend checking this place out of your looking for great Italiano food.

This was the best Italian I have had in years!!! Best Penne vodka with sausage and chicken ever! The pasta fagioli soup was incredible. Had a delicious apple martini too!! It was great service and ambiance. We will be back regularly…..

Local restaurant in Harrison,nj, not big, but has a nice ambience about it. Italian cuisine is the menu. Large pasta portions. Other menu items seemed a little pricy.

A 750ml glass bottle of San Pellegrino cost $5 MAX, and you're taking advantage of tourists by charging $24 a bottle? How about you serve better food so your stupid water costs don't have to pull your profits up.

Absolute gem in Harrison. Best ravioli I have had in a long time. The tiramisu is out of this world. Excellent cappuccino. The service is simply outstanding.

First time to NJ and was looking for a place to eat. The hotel that we stayed at recommended this restaurant and really glad they did. It is an excellent Italian restaurant and the food was amazing and at a reasonable price. Angelo and his staffs were really great and the service was excellent. Really glad my first dinner ever at NJ was at this restaurant!

Be careful when reserving a table via Google — the restaurant never received a confirmation even though I did. Better off booking through their website directly or call. Outside of that…A+++

Went to a baby shower there. Easy enough to get there. Very small parking lot but there is street parking.

Been Lasagne was tasty but the Portion size for the price is not worth it Marinara sauce was delicious much more of it then actual Lasagne

Classic Italian restaurant, great host and old and Italian favorites on the menu. On site free parking a plus. We go anytime attending an NJPAC show 10 minutes away

The atmosphere is quiet and intimate. Several regulars seem to frequent the place. Drinks are reasonably priced and solid, and the food is delicious. We had fettuccine with salmon and gnocchi. Will definitely be returning.

More then your local Italian spot. This place brings back class, moral and etiquette. Along side of fantastically delicious food. I came in tired after my vacation into this romantically set restaurant. What really got me.... the owner or manager had came out himself to deliver my bread, and as his waitress was placing the butter, one of the packets fell on the floor and i picked it up to put it back, but he took it out and gave it back to her. This was a sign of great customer care. The food was delicious that i took the picture half way through... that says it all! Great place and hope to go again!

Angelo is an excellent host, Kevin and the two other servers are very good at what they do and when my wife says "those are the best damn Raviolis ever" we've hit on something special. Clean, intimate spot serving excellent dishes at affordable prices. Def come back.

Went for a team event. The place was around 15 mins walk from the hotel I was staying in. Felt the space for private event was bit too tight when we had to go to the basement. Ordered old fashioned and it was gross, it was pink in color. I never had an old fashioned that bad. Decided to change it to Jameson and Rocks. Later in the night had chicken marsala which was very delicious and lot of deserts like tiramisu, chocolate cake and most important lemon Jell-O shots

We just came across La Fiamma awaiting our next day flight on the Google. The food, service and quality is nothing but the best. The lasagna with cream sauce and minestrone soup, all made from scratch. I have enough for dinner leftovers. If you have a layover at EWR, it would be worth a Uber to this place.

A nice Italian restaurant with a few tables with linens and good service. Food was also great, many options to choose from. We tried calamari salad (very fresh, and calamari great texture), ravioli la fiamma, filled with lobster, and shrimp pomodoro. I really enjoyed the first 2 dishes. We also got service of bread with butter & bruschetta. Unfortunately bruschetta and pomodoro shrimp came with a lot of garlic and I'm intolerant. free bread was a bit stale, although it was free so I didn't complain. Everything else was great. Service is relatively fast for just 2 waiters. I think we got charged more than supposed, the salad was charged at $19 but I believe the menu said $12 or $14. This is the only reason I subtracted 2*.

It's a good place for a weekend dinner. They have good pink pasta and wine. A little on the expensive side. The tables are too close, so you can literally hear everything from everywhere. But the food is good.

Update Jun/2022 Went back here for dinner. Red snapper was delicious and flavorful. Chicken marsala was a bit too sweet. Service was decent, maybe due to a busy night. Would still go back and try other dishes.

Amazing food and great customer service. Made me a dish off the menu that was exactly how I wanted it. Risotto was to die for and the cappuccino at the end was the perfect end to a great meal. Almost fell asleep in our booth from how warm and full we were.

I had some wine it tasted watered down. My daughter asked for some apple juice it took 45 minutes to find out there was no apple juice. The food was mediocre and tepid the service was terrible. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It was a disappointment.
