Man! I haven’t had a French meal that good since Avignon-I posted this review 2 years ago Today I’m in Breckenridge again dining at my favorite French spot in Colorado. I’m alone, but who needs company when you have lovely Chateauneuf-du-Pape to entertain you. 1st course always tartar.- I can’t tell if it’s the fresh baked bread or beef, but it definitely hits the spot. 2nd Dish, magnificent bone marrow escargot-fantastic. At this point, I regret ordering the main. Should I cancel my order and get two more orders of escargot? It’s too late. The main is here. Wow, i’m angry. The main is amazing. I can’t pronounce it. It’s a seafood goulash. Piping hot and epic. epic! (Get it?) I’m angry because I just realize this is the best French spot in 1000 mile radius from Chicago & LA possibly one of the best meals I had this year and it’s not in Denver. Oh, and let me tell you about the staff. Unacceptable. When I dine in France, I’d like to be marginalized and dismissed. This is what I’m used to, and this is how it should be. But apparently not in La Francaise. Joe My garçon was definitely too nice and too good and he drink wine. I really hope when I die, I go to heaven and there’s a version of bistro like La Francaise

INCREDIBLE!! THE "CHOCOLATE BEIGNET" WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS WE'VE EVER HAD!

All I can say is, Yum and more please! Outstanding French fare, the crepes are amazing, and the fruit tarts are the best I have ever tasted, ANYWHERE. Try a fresh sandwich as well. You must visit when in Breckenridge.

We come to Breckenridge as often as possible and this bakery is a favorite stop of ours. The baked goods are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!

I came here to get a coffee, and it was excellent. I highly recommend the white chocolate raspberry coffee.

Dry croissant, grounds in the bottom of my espresso, trash on the floor. You can put française in the name but it doesn't make it so. Quite crowded for a Monday afternoon.

A fantastic little French pastry shop in Breckenridge. Not only did they handle my family of 10 well with all of their orders, the baker (probably owner with a thick French accent) came out and recommended how we store the bread (not that there will be any to store). A definite repeated stop is in our future. (And their prices and quality are way better than those at the Sunday farmers market)

Fantastic breakfast and pastries. Might need more help behind the counter in the morning. Doing their best but can't keep up. Be prepared for a wait but worth it.

Food here is always so tasty. I have eaten here for years and continue to return for more. Pastries are fresh and excellent. The food is fresh made and very well done. My faves are the breakfast sandwiches and the prosciutto panini.

This is our favorite breakfast spot in breck! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Coffee was good. Service was great. Location was awesome! Sit on back patio and listen to the river run by.

La Francaise was wonderful!! The variety of food choices means that everyone can find something delicious to try! The women serving the treats and fancy coffees were so friendly and very efficient! I loved it!!

True French pastries. Talked to owner who is from Côte d’Azure. Got a Parisian baguette sandwich and some pastries. Good to have the real thing. Most Americans don’t know true French food and don’t appreciate it. It’s not full of preservatives like the Westetn diet is rife with.

Authentic French pastries. Excellent option for breakfast. We even got some sandwiches to go for our hike. Very nice to sit outside by the river and enjoy our meal.

Small bakery with a nice selection of choice items. They also have breakfast and coffee and seating inside and outside. About half the customers get it to go. I enjoyed sitting outside and sipping my coffee and eating a fruit croissant. Service was great.

Amazing. From start to finish, this is an absolute find! Greeted warmly, and led to amazing riverside patio seating which was fantastic. Appetizers were so good(escargo slaps!) and Adam, our server, is sure none go to waste! Love it!

WOW! This place is fantastic. The line was out the door, but it moved along quickly and efficiently, and the food was done very quickly after ordering made to order items. We got pastries and crepes and everything that we got was delicious. I loved that the crepes weren’t overwhelmingly sweet. Best crepes, hands down, on main!

New favorite spot in Breck! The bakery items were all fantastic( we tried like 8 different kinds but the beingets and almond croissant might just be the favorites). Crepes and croissant sandwiches were just as tasty! Service is fast and friendly and this will be a regular stop everytime in Breck! Cute patio out back door along spillway. Only gave 4 stars on atmodphere because space is tight and this place is crowded for a reason,) Sooo good! Even my husband who doesnt love sweets thought these were all amazing!

Nice little bakery. We picked up a few things and they were tasty.

In researching for restaurants to visit while in Colorado, this one had me at “raclette crepe.” I am a total sucker for raclette cheese. When we arrived, the young woman at the counter seemed like she was having a rough day. My boyfriend’s croque monsieur came out of the kitchen looking absolutely perfect. My order got messed up, but was immediately fixed no questions asked when the chef noticed I was trying to figure out why I had a Nutella crepe instead of my dream raclette crepe. The food was superb! As was the coffee! We had a Snuggler and an Americano. We snagged a table outside, which was great. I heard there were tables out back as well if you find yourself stalking one of the two in the front with no success.

You don't need to go anywhere else, this is the place to eat! No matter what you get, it will be delicious!!

LaFrancaise is a family favorite, however on occasion we have a surprise. Our 2 Amaretti cookies were raw on the inside. Had we eaten on site, we would have brought this to their attention. Watch the croissants, they are regularly over baked and too dark which gives a burnt taste... these should be sold as reduced seconds.

Amazing pastries. We stopped by 2 days in a row to grab some pastries. Everything is baked on premises. We've had croissants and bignets and all were excellent. They also sell coffee, quiche, sandwiches and crepes. Enjoy!

Apple crepe with an added scoop of chocolate gelato - delicious!!

I went in with my son today, we had a ham and cheese Crepe, as well as their Normande(cooked apples and cinnamon Crepe.) Those were both very quality for the price, which is more than fair once you taste the true quality put into it. I also had an almond latte which was not just some cheap syrup, it was a taste straight from France. I can't wait to make it back up again some day soon. The French woman who seemed to be in charge was very kind. My 5 year old son told her that the apples in the crepe were the best he's ever had, she talked to him, thanked him, and made him feel included and special. This place stands apart from all others. 10 stars!

The almond croissant is the most amazing thing ever! We love this place for dinner and now breakfast, too. Wow. Just wow.

I can't get tired of the coffe+ham and cheese hot sandwich. Brioche with raisings and any of the crepes are a most.

Excellent authentically French food that would even be outstanding in a big, crowded city. Desert is a must as well, if their attached bakery is not convincing enough.

I do not know why this got such high rating for “French bakery” as everything we ordered were mediocre. Had the basic french items including croissant and baguette both tasted stale. No crispness outer layer and softness in the middle as expected for basic expectations. Croissant was not even buttery. Also had cafe latte which was forgettable. Their Le BLT on supposedly “ciabatta” bread was like eating a Caesar salad on Italian roll. If anything, this should be call an Italian bakery. Very disappointed visit overall.

Some of the best French baked goods I have had. Chocolate almond croissants are choice, but everything I and my group had was exceptional. Also run by some sweet ladies!

Solid 4-star. I didn’t like that the BLT & a turkey blt basically were labeled under ‘hot sandwiches’ yet they told me they serve them cold. Panini was good not amazing. Didn’t try any of the French pastries but those may change my mind!

Tired of the over-priced, bland food served by the on-mountain restaurants we decided to descend into the town for lunch during a recent ski trip. My husband and I both ordered savoury crepes which were distinctly underwhelming. Firstly, what’s the deal with charging extra for buckwheat?! I have never encountered this anywhere previously (I admit that I lived in France for a while and go there often). Come on guys, any genuine French bakery would know that a savoury pancake (or galette) is made this way as standard. Secondly, and I know the GBP/USD FX rate is not favourable for us Brits, these were vastly overpriced for what is essentially flour, water and some meagre toppings. The final point I would make is that the seating area could really use a deep clean. That and the prevalence of single-use plastics would discourage me from ever returning.

The cafe is super cute, just a bit older finishes. The pastries were good and the coffee was delicious, a good place for a quick breakfast bite!

We came into town for my birthday and I had been wanting to try this bakery, SO glad we did! The chocolate almond croissant was out of this world!! My kids enjoyed the flower of paradise croissant very much :) If you are in Breckenridge, don't miss out on this gem✨

Staff very unprofessional , inflexible and rude. Have been a patron of this place for a long time but feel that I can no longer go.

Food and coffee here are fine but service is lacking. Went through to buy a coffee, a couple pastries and use the restroom. The person behind the counter said that someone else walked off with a key for their public restroom and then walked away. We noticed there was a sign that said restroom so my wife decided to use it. As she was exiting a person, who appeared to be the manager, chastised her for using the employee restroom and told her that they don’t allow the public to use it because they’re employees things could go missing. We could’ve reminded her that it is illegal not to provide a bathroom as per ADA requirements, but thought a review would probably be more appropriate. I understand things happen, but they should’ve opened up their bathroom to their customers instead of giving them a hard time. I don’t think we’ll be returning.

I walking in to buy 4 of our favorite Almond Croissants yesterday. Since that’s all I wanted I didn’t think I needed to include a tip during checkout. The girls were speaking a different language but it was obvious she told the girl selecting my croissants that I didn’t give a tip. The selector proceeded to remove big pretty croissants from my bag for smaller slightly brown ones. Quite rude if you ask me …

Gosh I hate to take a star but I honestly feel like it’s being generous. Here’s why: my almond latte (which was delicious) was not very hot. So I asked them if they could heat it. I had clearly drunken from the cup yet they stuck a reusable metal probe into the latte to heat it. Total cross contamination and not safe. Doesn’t bother me personally too much but for an establishment that’s a huge no no. This time it was certainly hot. It was so hot it burnt my tongue. Anyways the almond croissant and latte were super good nonetheless and I will be going back. The head baker was speaking French with some other French speaking g locals. Pretty cool.

We only got a chance to stop by once, but wish we had an opportunity to try more pastries. Everything we had was delicious and coffee was great. Definitely recommend this place.

We loved the breakfast and bakery items here. Get the Turkey and Cheese sandwich, Cinnamon Brioche, and Pain Au Chocolat Croissants. All of those were excellent. The latte was also very good. The staff were very nice and patient, place was clean, and was well located in the plaza near Park Avenue. Worth the stop for breakfast!

0112124 still great. Great coffee and fantastic pastries. The omlettes, crepes and quiches look amazing and are part of the breakfast/brunch offerrings. They also have sandwiches and bread. I overheard french being spoken so you have to add "authentic" to the description. Their bread is...great bread!

The cashier treated me as if I was a 2nd class citizen. I noticed just how friendly & courteous she was with the White customers Yet even as kind & respectful as I was to her, her attitude towards me left me with the only conclusion that there had to be a racial element at play. It’s sad that even in 2024 racism still exists. Blessings to you all🙏🏾

I love everythey make at this place. If they have it the raspberry filled beignet is a yummy option. The almond croissants are crave worthy.

Food was fantastic! Everything we ordered was delicious. Definitely try the mussels appetizer. Crème brûlée and speciality dessert was amazing. Best French food I ever had.

Went Christmas Day early to get pastries for the fam. Everything was perfect except the almond croissant- the top layers were nice but the bottom 1/2 was collapsed and thick,doughy. I would go back again, this is the best bakery in town!

I’m obsessed with this place and their almond croissants.. literally SO good. You watch the bakers make things fresh behind the counter and the aromas when you walk in are just heavenly. The line moves along quickly. My mom orders a frappe and the amount of whipped cream on that thing was massive. Everything is always delicious there.

This is a hidden gem! We came early for an almond croissant, a savory crepe & coffee. Amazing! We brought a box of goodies home for our kids. We later returned after a day of skiing to enjoy delicious sandwiches (pressed) and a sweet crepe! We each ordered a different sandwich - all of which were on homemade bread. Will definitely return!

My wife and I before moving to Colorado would make a stop here each time we visited because they’re SO GOOD. And now that we live here, we’ll try to come up as often as possible. Delicious pastries from a wonderful staff at food prices, can’t beat that!

Had a great almond croissant but unfortunately found multiple black hairs in it, saw this happened in another review as well. Was also somewhat unclean inside.

Sign and Google says it is open, but it was not. Doors locked, lights out. Shame.

Wow!! What a great Bakery. We went here every morning. The Egg, Ham and Cheese Croissant, Speciale, Beignet, cookie, Chocolate filled Beignet, Raspberry filled Beignet and they all were great.

We eat here every morning except when they close on Wednesdays. Great baked goods, Crepes, Quiche, sandwiches and the best coffee in Breckenridge. Our favorite items are the ham, egg and brie breakfast crossiant and the raspberry tart. You only need to see the line waiting for them to open to understand how special this place is. If you want pancakes or home fries go elsewhere.

The almond croissant and the almond latte are out of this world. Flaky, crispy and not overly sweet. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. You get what you pay for with this establishment. They tend to run out of pastries early in the day so go early! They are also closed on certain days of the week so be sure to check before heading there.

5 stars just for the croissants although the foood is excellent in general. This is how actual French croissants are supposed to be made: alternating layers of dough and butter. Other places serve crescent-shaped bread and call it a "croissant". Pity I live so far away in Texas!

Super yummy pastries and bread, we were in town for a week and went twice. Everything was great!

Great food and always enjoy picking up a sandwich and pastry when driving through the area. However this time we arrived a little more than 30 minutes prior to closing paid for parking and was going to enjoy eating in instead of to go. We paid for parking across the street walked in at about 3:29 had a rude person jump in front of us in line. Just as we were ordering a man from the kitchen whispers something in the clerks ear and leaves. As he walked out the clerk tells us ohh the kitchen is now closed. This is not a very professional way to run a business. Per their website and hours posted they are open until 4pm

Only got a tea, but it looked like an amazing bakery with lots of good options at an affordable price. Tea was really good!

Cannot give enough stars...pastries, bread, coffees and breakfast are to die for! Happy to see they have expanded for a dinner service too and heard great comments on such though did not get a chance to try this trip...on the agenda for our next visit.
