Beautiful place and friendly staff

Ordered online Said it didn't go through. Had to wait for food to be prepared

They made the fruit tarts without the candy covering.. it was ok but pls stick to the originals. Those are the things I spend 16 bucks every 3xs a week... ❤️❤️❤️

A really nice little Cafe. The food was great. The staff was really nice and friendly. It was very convenient to get to using the Trolley.

Delicious crepes! Nice cozy atmosphere. Small portions and expensive. But the coffee was delicious! I had the French Roast.

I get delivery frequently. This time they forgot the beverages in the bag. That would be ok, if you could reach them by phone to resolve. Unfortunately that is impossible. Color me frustrated

La Madeleine is the perfect spot if you are looking for a quick, tasty, bite in an inviting setting. This has been one of my daughter's "go-to" places for delivery or take-out during here college career at Loyola. Today, my wife and I tried it for the first time; and thoroughly enjoyed it. She had the Quiche Lorraine and I had a Croissant Sandwich with scrambled eggs, ham, and cheddar. Her's was good, and we both agreed mine was excellent! The croissant was one of the best I've ever had. Service is friendly, and the place is clean. I highly recommend it if you are in the area and looking for a quick breakfast or lunch.

I would give it 0 if I could. The food is nasty and the workers are very disrespectful.

Been going here since 2008 . Now I work in the neighborhood the past couple years . From frozen chicken salad on the croissant . To today served rotten rice with my food . Literally could smell it when the bag opened . Rancid!!! I’m done. Avoid this place if you enjoy health .

Ordered a French Dip sandwich for lunch today and the au jus was cut with so much water, it only tasted like water. It shocked me when I dipped my sandwich into it, and it was visibly light and see though. I dipped my sandwich into water. I don't even know what to say. 1 star.

Stopped in for a chocolate croissant and coffee while riding the Saint Charles street car in New Orleans. Both were quite good. My wife had a savory ham and cheese pastry and coffee which she enjoyed very much. Service was good, though the cashier was a little slow. Overall experience was very good. La Madeline is in a very picturesque setting at St Charles and Carrollton in the Big Easy. Enjoy.

When ordering catering, be prepared to have an incomplete order. Food is always great, but hard to eat without utensils, plates, and cups. Delivery driver just apologized and said I am new! Missed business presentation due to having to go purchase additional items!

So, this is the perfect stop for lunch whenever we do the St Charles streetcar. French style fare, great soups, sandwiches, and pastries. Coffee is pretty good too.

Frankly, I was surprised by the exquisite and intense flavor of the Quiché Lorraine. The initial appearance didn't make me expect much, but when I tried it, I completely changed my mind.

Coffee is just awful, quiche is pretty bad with a weird, pasty texture, soups and sandwiches are ok, especially the mushroom soup and the roast beef au jus sandwich. Pastries are average at best, portions are tiny and they're overpriced. Croissants are ok. At least "coffee" (or whatever that stuff is) refills are free.

Our first time at this establishment and having young children we thought nice sandwich and relax before heading home. We walk in and having no knowledge of this restaurant, looked around curiously wondering what their Protocol is. Finally a lady at the To-Go side said. Take a menu and pick a table. OK sure easy enough. I get myself 2 baby chairs and we sit down. Perusing the menu waiting to see if we will be helped. Nobody comes to us. My husband who has a mobility disability, goes up to the counter where he is blantely ignored as all the staff mysterious disappear. Two other patrons walk up and begin getting food. By watching their actions I say to my husband " I think it's cafeteria style". He proceeds to order our meals and we receive an eye roll when they had to cook a pizza for our 3 year. They ignored us, complained about having to clean up the floors. Nobody bothered to explain their restaurant and how about to order and constantly the staff disappear to the back. Never again will we come back. The food was bland. My sandwich bread was frozen. They tried to charge us for a bag of chips that was included with the kid meal. They never smiled or greeted and constantly rolled their eyes. The most annoying was they all seemed amused at our blank looks and curious glancing around, waiting for directions from them. Normally we go to Cibo up the street form here, next time we will stick to what establishment we know has better food.

Wow this place has really gone downhill. The staff was rude and abrupt. The food was mediocre at best. The saucers were runny and tasted like somebody added water to them. They weren't creamy the french onion soup which used to be so delicious , was just o k. There were other things we ordered. Nobody was overly happy with what they got. But the worst thing was how the staff was so rude to us.

Staff was friendly, service was great. The atmosphere was welcoming.

I haven’t been here for a long time and I was very disappointed. I remembered the pastries being flakey and my almond croissant was dry and hard and tasted several days old. I had to request the ham & cheese croissant be heated. I had to go back to request another item I’d paid for & wasn’t given. It wasn’t busy so I’m not sure why the service was subpar. The coffee was tasteless and watery. The place has lost its charm.

Food was luke warm, French dip had no taste and the meat was tough. Waste of money.

I go here every time I visit NOLA. I was with a group of friends this time and was excited to show them some good food. Little did I know the quality of this place crashed and burned. I had to stop my friends from ordering after I saw cockroaches in the pastry display case and we left immediately.

Food was over priced for the taste. Staff was annoyed, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed.

I've been to this chain for many years and was looking forward to a quick and easy dinner with the family here. The service was kind and helpful, but the food was very much lacking. French onion soup was so salty it was tough to eat, French bread was stale (not the delicious crusty type they usually have), and if possible the quinoa salad was soggy. I was disappointed since I've always loved this as a go-to. Hoping things turn around here!

The service was good but the food was overly salty, overall a half-good experience. The pastries might be decent, and the baguettes were ok. Not worth it in my opinion.

We visited New Orleans as tourists and our Airbnb was within walking distance of this establishment so we went several times because we enjoyed it so much. So much variety from sandwiches to soups to salads and of course lots of sweet treats! The staff was beyond friendly and like I said we came back several times to get treats throughout our trip. Would recommend!

Needs more than one person working the kitchen

Coffee was disgusting, obviously had been sitting out a while. Food was subpar and overpriced given the proportions. First and only time I’m trying this place.

The place is cute but the food is gross. There soda machine only has very flat soda! The ice machine is broken - so they have to go to their freezer and get you ice (no clue how) and it melts the moment you put anything in it so you have to ask for more ice. The salads are warm and the sandwiches taste sour. Don’t go here just go the location in Metairie if your crazing this type of food.

The quality of the food and coffee went to the floor. The coffee should said "hot black water", no taste of coffee at all. The croissant sandwich and the spinach quiche was most likely from the day before( my fault because the server warned me if I wanted a fresh quiche and I declined because we were hungry). I tried to complaint to corporate but is impossible to get direct number and verbally complaint.

Do not eat here - you will end up with insane food poisoning! We had a grilled cheese & tomato soup and a chicken Caesar salad and it has been the worst food poisoning my husband and I have ever had. I repeat, DO NOT EAT HERE

French onion soup was one of the best I’ve had- even as a delivery. I will dine in next time for an even experience!

We stopped here after getting off the street car and had excellent coffee and a pastry. Really friendly staff and they even reheated my coffee.

I was charged $25.24 for quiche, a cup of soup and an ice tea. It should have been about $15.20, and I left a 15 percent tip. I did not get a receipt.

Good food at a moderate price. However, they may be having staffing problems. I call for an order to be picked up to save time. When I arrived they had made the wrong thing. They hustled up and got the right sandwich put together pretty quickly, but still...

We ate there yesterday. The food was very poor quality. The soup was room temperature. Very unhelpful staff. I used to enjoy la Madeline but I won't be going back.

Still the yummiest tomato basil soup ever! The croque madame was so good, as well as the basil pesto pasta. You can fill out a survey for a free dessert, pastry or coffee but it kind of takes a while so I didn’t have time bec I wanted to eat while it was hot. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very disrespectful staff. Asked for something and she yelled at me and said “wait a minuite”. Horrible attitude with other customers also. Shouldn’t be working behind the counter.

Not sure why this place would be on anyones list with all the plethora of amazing eats in Nola. Incredibly disappointing. Quiche and soup were cold, quinoa salad tasted like dog food. Croque Madame was fair though.

There is not enough space to write how wonderful this place is!!! Every food item is delicious, every staff member is friendly and the place is so clean and welcoming! I will always make the trip to eat my 7 grain bread, potato soup and strawberry Napoleon when I'm in NOLA!

It was rather busy today but the service was still exceptional. I enjoyed my ham and turkey croissant and will return soon for the delicious pastries.

My daughters and I absolutely love La Madeleines. We drive over an hour one way just to eat there. This is my favorite restaurant. We just recently ate there and the food was amazing as always. The croissants are our favorite. They are so flaky and warm and the best I ever had. During the fall season this restaurant has the most amazing seasonal foods and beverages like the pumpkin spice latte. The staff is wonderful and they go out of their way to help their customers no matter how busy they are. A 5 star review is not enough for this wonderful place.

We were running late for a swamp tour, and came across this restaurant. The food was good, the people were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The food came out very quickly as well. Will definitely be back.

We went in with 40 minutes until closing and the staff was very rude and told us they were all out of crepes and anything we tried to order then when we asked what they did have left the guy walked off angrily and locked the doors. We seen the manager hiding in the corner. Needless to say we apologized for their inconvenience and walked out to a better restaurant happy to take our money. Really disappointed in their service and manners.

Ask for eggs in the shell if you don't want scrambled eggs poured out of a carton.

Love the tomato soup and bread!

I would put no stars. I had croissants with two eggs. The croissant were stale. There were few people in restaurant and took over half hour for two eggs. The cashier gave me change for a twenty and forgot to take my money. Fortunately I was honest and gave her the money. I have visited other LaMadeine in Metairie and the croissant also stale. Very disappointed.

Chaotic, no order, poorly managed.

So not what this place used to be. Coffee was cold. Breakfast croissant sandwich was worse than what you get at Burger King. Such a disappointment. This location used to be so on top of their game. And to ask to go further to a website to report this ridiculous... learn from your customers comments or better yet be proactive and actually provide the services and tasty and hot food you've been know for. There just seems be a lack of caring from all levels.

Not what it used to be. Flies in the pastry case, cold coffee, subpar service. Another diner was handing back her nearly untouched plate and asking for a refund as we checked out. Would recommend going to a different La Mad location.

My granddaughter and I went in at 8pm on May 3. First the people seemed kind of annoyed because we were ordering an hour before they closed. We had pasta and salmon. My food was lukewarm except for the green beans that were raw and cold. My granddaughters pasta and salmon were lukewarm and her bread was frozen in the middle. Disappointing experience for sure. We didn't complain because yheyvwere irritated we were there so late anyway

We ordered from here for lunch and we’re surprised with the poor quality and taste of everything. I ordered the quinoa kale salad with salmon and there was no kale, the lettuce was sparse and wilted, the quinoa was a gelatinous mash with little flavor. We ordered the avocado toast which turned out to be toast with the “idea of avocado” spread on top. The soups were ok but you could get the same quality form a grocery store can. The baguette was ok, but again low quality. The green beans were tasteless and overcooked but somehow still rubbery. Would not recommend.

The food was good. The location and view were great, with streetcar and lovely architecture that make New Orleans special. The service was not that good. Employees were nice but some things were not out and available and you'd have to ask for them. Like cutlery. But overall very happy and will return.

Stopped in for a late breakfast around 1130, not too busy, ordered the French Breakfast and Coffee. Portion size good, eggs cooked as requested, enjoyed the hash brown cake(?). Coffee from the dispenser was warm, not hot...only issue.

Food was terrible and the customer service was even worse. It is one of my mom and my son and I's favorite spots but its the quality it used to be unfortunately

The food was amazing! The service was HORRIBLE! Raquel and Stephanie, THE MANAGER,were very rude, and down right nasty! We came to your restaurant 2 nights in a row, because it was so good, but due to the rudeness, we will not be back! Everyone I talked to, said the food is good, but the service is awful!

Food was delicious, I ordered a pasta madeleine. It took a little more than expected but was pretty good.

They have a good king cake croissant going now because of the season. I find the rest of their food bland & overly priced !!!! Their large soup to go container looks like a small container & it probably holds about 3 to 4 ounces !! Totally ridiculous & a rip off !!!!

Delicious food but horrible service. The cashier gave me attitude because I said none of us were getting salad before realizing the cafe sampler came with salad. His attitude was terrible the whole time. My husband ordered the chicken La Madeleine and we waited, and waited, and waited. My son and I finished our food and it still wasn't done. I got up to ask and saw one man watching the game on his phone, the man cooking was moving things around on the stove then looking down at a counter I couldn't see. Perhaps on his phone? A lady and the man with attitude were extremely busy with to-go orders. I believe this location needs more staff and to be more concerned about the customers standing in front of them.

Big disappointment. I made an order through Uber, ordered 2 nutella mufin and instead I got 2 bran and raisins muffin. This is unacceptable. I didnt pay for this nor want to eat this!!! If you are out of what I want then just dont accept my order. I want a refund asap as ive never seen such thing in my life. Really unhappy.

I had riding the trolley through the garden district on my bucket list and I saw la Madeleines on the route. It was absolutely charming and our lunches were so yummy. Will be on our list to return the next time we come to NO.

Fresh bakery with delicious Itilian baked goods. Also great sandwiches and salads. I was visiting from Michigan. Nothing like this there.

I absolutely love this place. Their Onion soup and Dipped French sandwich are some of my favorites, their desserts are small, which I love, and SO worth the calories. It's a great place to chat comfortably as well. Highly recommended!

Visited the S. Carrollton location. This was a high let down. The cashier was in such a hurry to get out of therey order was taken incorrectly. After 20 or so minutes of waiting I looked at my receipt on the table and realized everything was wrong. When I asked the new cashier on duty she cleared everything up. She asked if we had received any of our order that cashier one was supposed to bring us but didn't. Service from number 1 terrible, server 2 great, food not worth the wait at all!

I placed a simple order (six croissants) five hours before I needed it and paid for it online. When I was on my way to pick it up (five minutes from the scheduled pickup time) I received a phone call from an employee telling me she didn't have what I wanted and she "didn't know what I wanted her to do." I asked what she did have available, since I was getting these for a gathering, and she said she could start preparing something, but it would take time. I couldn't wait, since I was on my way already, so I asked for a refund. A week later, I still don't have my refund. If you have another option besides going here, I would highly recommend it.

It was so quaint, sitting inside was very sweet & refreshing. You could even say peaceful as you sit & watch passing cars, people, & bikes. There was even beautiful French songs playing as you ate.
