I love this place so much. Beef Bourguignon or Filet are my go tos.

Just dined here for the first time after hearing good things about this place. The food was good but they messed up almost every food/drink that was brought to our table. Steak was cooked incorrectly twice (medium well the first time, completely raw the second, but I didn’t send back the second one), wrong main was brought out for my companion, and drinks were ordered on “a large rock” but were brought out completely murdered by small ice cubes in a large glass. The table next to us had an identical experience of eating separately due to a similar mishap. So it’s not an isolated incident at this restaurant. Perhaps a server issue because we had issues with both the kitchen and the bar.

Patrons are seated a little close together rather than being spaced out. Lamb and Steak Oscar, mashed taters, and veggies were all good, but the escargot was not. Crepe Suzette and creme brulee was OK. French onion soup was good.

It's a been a year since we've been here. The last time everything was exceptional. Tonight, three things missed the mark: First, if you are going to inquire about a social occasion and do nothing about it, why bother asking? I'm not expecting anything, but since you asked and then did absolutely nothing.. What's the point of asking on the reservation? Secondly, it's August, why is there only air conditioning in half the restaurant? It was sweltering at our table, when I went to the bar side of the restaurant to use the restroom it was heavenly. Third, the drinks and appetizers were top notch, as was the service. However the main course was horribly disappointing. The black cod, while cooked well, was bland and the mashed potatoes it was served on, even more so. The sauce, a lemon dill cream sauce, was pointless, no flavor, no brightness or any depth. I've been looking forward to black cod for a while. The cook did the cod absolutely no justice. It was so bland it could've been served in a senior center or hospital. That bad. What a shame.

Not sure what is going on here for 4.6 stars and nearly 800 reviews, but my experience here could not have been more the opposite. My best advice would be to steer clear. The food was absolutely terrible, and I cannot say this enough extremely over priced. For two meals (no drinks involved) and over a one hundred dollar bill, neither me nor my partner could even finish our meals. Both were extremely amateurish and both tasted terrible. The fish was presented in the most bizarre manner I have ever seen, with the skin left on and very soggy, over unseasoned brown rice (“rice pilaf” according to the menu) and bland vegetables. The beouf bourginon was tough and had very little flavor, accompanied by whipped up potatoes which was most of the meal. The escargot also had an off putting flavor and came with only two small breads (filled with what seemed like cheese?) to eat it with. I would give 0 out of five if I could. Definitely avoid.

What a delicious dining experience! The French Onion Soup was heavenly, and every part of our meal was just delectible. Highly recommend the oysters and creme brulee! Great atmosphere, straightforward delicious food without pretentiousness.

Got the escargot and steamed mussels as well as the bananas foster and some drinks. The outside seating area is a few steps down which is a nice separation from the street. Overall it was alright. If you love French food, check it out.

I came here for lunch with my parents. We sat outside on their lovely covered patio, the weather was so nice. The restaurant is cutely decorated on the inside. They only had two servers, so service was a little slow, but the wait was worth it. All the food we ordered was delicious. I tried their lamb and vegetable soup and really liked it. My parents tried their smoked crab salad and salmon salad, they really enjoyed their food. They had a great lunch specials too. If we lived in the Denver area we would come back again! @living.with.reg

Ahí tuna nicoise salad was perfection. Just the right amount of capers and olives to offset the perfectly seared but still raw tuna. Generous portions of fish made this a filling lunch.

Very great French cuisine, definitely feels like the French experience as well. Celebrated a birthday and an anniversary here!

Friend grabbed us a reservation here for brunch! They highly recommended the croque monsieur and I will do the same for yall. It was killer. Cooked perfectly. The fries were amazing as well

I visited there last week for my boyfriend's birthday. Loved the ambience. It felt like I was in a restaurant in France. A cute little spot in a perfect location. The food was great. I ordered the mussels and onion soup. The mussels were too good and the sauce was perfect. The soup for me was okay maybe coz I tried onion soup for the first time. Then we ordered the lamb chops and I loved it. My boyfriend ordered the French ham burger the taste was good but it was a bit salty. For dessert we tried the chocolate mousse and it was just heaven 😍One of the best chocolate mousse I ever had Our server was very nice and she gave us suggestions as well. Would recommend this place if you want to go for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion

Delicious moules and bread and butter. Soft ambience, did their best to mimic dinner settings in France. Steak frites is good, French onion soup wasn’t. A nice place for a light dinner in Cherry Creek because there aren’t many very tasty restaraunts with nice ambience in the area.

Hands down the food was the best part. We had the mussels, beef bourguignon, and the salmon strudel. The place itself looks very nice and we loved being there. They have a good wine list and other options as well. Only weird part was our server who was nice enough but he only ever addressed me and not my wife. Also odd he bagged up the food for the table of four next to us but just gave us the boxes to do it ourselves. Not the end of the world, he was a nice enough guy. Price of the food was expensive but nothing out of the ordinary for cherry creek. Overall we still liked it and would recommend.

It had been a number of years since we had stopped in and we are really glad we did. The quality of food and service was excellent and as remembered. The crepe we ordered was especially good and solid wine options by the glass or bottle. Great dining option in CCN.

Perfect place for a party! We hosted a luncheon for 20 people at La Merise. Terrific food - great service! And the room is lovely. Beyond great service, Elena helped us find the perfect, well priced wine. Highly recommended!

My partner and myself went there to celebrate our anniversary. They had an amazing wine menu and with %50 off the wine on Sundays I couldn't help to splurge a bit. The server was impeccable and even fulfilling my unexpressed desires. Bravo!

I am from Moulins France and this restaurant is horrible. We had reservations and ordered bottomless mimosas and saw the bottom 3 times. We also ordered our food 10 minutes before the groups around us (ham and cheese sandwich and crab bennedict) and the 2 tables that were sat after us got their food before us. They ordered the trout and the steak and the other table ordered 2 crepes. The service here is absolutely horrendous. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Won't be coming back ever. The food was very salty, we did get our appetizer (escargot) and it wasn't prepared correctly.

A beautiful place to have a quiet romantic brunch. With many options, amazing fresh orange juice and the best service a girl could ask for. The food was perfect, timing of service couldn't be better. Bathrooms neat and clean without being overly scented.

Once again wonderful. Just a bit loud for trying to talk with my husband and family.

I had a wonderful Valentine’s Day date with my wife here. The entire experience was terrific. We had oysters, crepes, chicken, desert, and wines by the glass. Everything paired so well together. The service was perfect. The atmosphere was classic French style. Loved it.

We had a fabulous Valentines dinner at La Merise. It's a very cozy restaurant. The staff is attentive but doesn't rush you. Elizabeth was delightful. The beet salad and Gorgonzola salad were beautiful and delicious. As was the pâté maison. The star of the evening was the beef bourguignon. Tender beef with a gorgeous, rich, flavorful demi glace. Most dishes on the menu were, or could be prepared, gluten free. The entire experience was pleasant, perfectly timed, and absolutely enjoyable.

Despite dining here on Valentine’s Day, service was prompt, the dining room was quiet enough to have a conversation and the food was superb. We tried several items from the specials menu and mixed in others from the regular menu. The oysters were a nice mix of east coast varietals, salads were nicely plated and quite fresh and our fish entrees were both delicious. It was a lovely romantic weeknight dinner and we definitely will be back.

Went for a Valentine's Day lunch. The place was moderately busy but we were sat right away. However, the server was not on top of things I guess. It took awhile to order a drink (we waited and waited for the server to come back after the initial welcome to the restaurant and have you dined with us before checkin) and when the drinks arrived we enjoyed them. But once we ordered our food it took a really long time for my starter (soup) to arrive. Finished the drinks and finished the soup. Waitress was MIA. It was so long that another employee came by and asked us if we wanted another round and if we were waiting for entrees (yes, we are waiting for our food!). My husband ordered another drink and finished that one then our entrees (crepes) finally arrived. At that point it was around 1:50 in the afternoon and most other patrons had gone (we arrived at 1). Food was delish, but service was slow. Luckily we were not in a hurry.

Enjoyed our dinner. Chef specials were excellent. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Great for a date the best in town

Le Merise is a Cherry Creek gem! The menu is extenstive and every entree we have ever ordered has been excellent. The ambiance is wonderful-- a real throw-back to a quaint French restaurant in a Parisian suburb. We've always had exceptional service and have experienced some of our very best dining memoires there. Just lovely and cozy!

The food and service were great. We enjoyed our evening. We will definitely return for the mussels. They were outstanding.

Wonder French restaurant in the heart of Cherry Creek. Lovely patio when the weather is right. The flavors are delicious and cuisine is a wonderful change of pace. Great date night spot. The filet gorgonzola crepe is amazing.

Reservations were easy, and customer service was on point. The servers are friendly, attentive and helpful. Fine dining but not pretentious. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the beef bourguignon and my date had the chicken . Both were delicious with flavorful sauces. The serving was generous and more than enough. We are looking forward to dining on the patio when the spring comes.

Had not seen my wife in over a week and was looking for a nice mellow place to have a great meal and catch up. Our waiter was incredible, the food was perfect, and the environment was exactly what we needed to talk and catch up. Really appreciate this place!

We enjoyed another fabulous meal at La Merise. The beef bourguignon may be the best we've ever had! The flavors - OMG! Also we shared the mussels appetizer, which is always yummy. We weren't able to get our favorite server; the other server was OK. In her defense they were SUPER busy. We always like seeing good restaurants being recognized & appreciated.

Celebrated a 90th birthday here with brunch. First off - the pancakes are amazing. Truly. If you're thinking of ordering the pancakes, just do it. The service was great: three of us arrived a little early and our server kept us well stocked up on coffee and bread while we waited for everyone else. By the way, I'm not often a fan of restaurant coffee, but theirs was full and robust. Here's a run-down on the other meals: 2 people ordered Breakfast Pancakes - they were the hit of the entire table. If I could have re-ordered after tasting them, I would have. Comes with whipped cream, syrup, and jam - all on the side. 3 people had the Crepe Florentine. Word from all that it was delicious. On all the plates, the bacon was very crispy (just the way I like it). Same with the bacon on the pancake plates. Nothing worse than limp bacon... 1 person ordered the Chef's Omelette - this lucky person also got the hash browns. Which were so good, I ordered a side of them for myself after tasting his. 1 person ordered Eggs Benedict - perfectly cooked poached eggs (runny yolk, whites fully cooked), and plenty of Ham. I ordered the Crab Benedict Crepe. It was the only one that was slightly disappointing. Full disclosure: it comes with a creamy garlic tomato wine sauce, and I asked to substitute hollandaise. The was probably a mistake, because the overall dish was a little bland. There was as TON of crab meat on it and the eggs were perfectly cooked - but it needed a little more flavor overall. If the hollandaise had more lemon that might have helped. Or - just don't ask for a different sauce on top. After mentioning this to my husband, he pointed out that my sister had asked for a recommendation between the Crepe Florentine and the Crab Benedict Crepe, and the waiter steered her toward the Crepe Florentine. I missed that conversation, or I might have gone with my second choice. All around, great food, great service, and a fun time!

This is one of my favorite Denver restaurants. It feels very French. Tonight i had the special, Quail stuffed with sausage served with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Excellent!

Haven't had steak au poivre for years. My partner had lamb chops - again - had not ordered for years. Wow. We could not have been happier - expertly cooked and dang tasty! Sat at the bar and chatted, watched the NFL playoff game, and indulged in the food. Perfect!

I just love this French gem in the heart of Cherry Creek. It's always a great place to gather for lunch before or after moseying through shops. Food is delicious, and atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Came here for brunch on Sunday. Parked in garage one block away. Very nice atmosphere. Had French toast with fruit and it was delicious. My grand daughter had the banana crepe and she didn't like the banana in it! The banana was a little soft but still good. I ordered coffee but never had an offer for a refill! The women's bathroom had a stack of wooden toddler seats next to the toilet which isn't very sanitary! I thought that was odd!

DISAPOINTED! I ordered the most expensive dish on the menu, filet mignon, medium rare, the best way to enjoy high-quality meat. The first steak was well WELL DONE, which I returned only to receive a second stake that was charred on the outside and overdone on half and rare on the other half. How can a quality restaurant screw up something is basic as a steak. The waitress was clearly not pleased with my polite requests to fix my dish. This was my first visit to this establishment, and it will be my last!

Year in and year out La Merise remains one of our favorite places. It is a neighborhood gem in cherry creek!

Early lunch with a friend. I had hoped for ,the brunch menu , but had a wonderful crepe.

We have been coming to Le Marise since it opened. It is a locals place that welcomes everyone. And is a do to place for who’s who in Denver. The food is well crafted and leaves no doubt of its origin. The menu is extensive and the nightly specials keep their offerings fresh and inviting. This is a real European experience. There are some good restaurants in Cherry Creak but Le Marise is in a class of its own. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great assistance on the wine list. The atmosphere is comfortable.

Love the ambiance and excellent service of La Merise. Such a Cherry Creek gem that we hope will always be there and that we will always return to. They ensured that our birthday dinner was exceptional.

Our gathering was of family and friends from Denver, Gunnison and Phoenix. All but two of our party of eight were new to La Marise. Everyone was more than favorably inpressed with the restaurant and raved about the menu. Caesar was efficient and extremely attentive and accomodating. I'm sure we will all return in the near future!

We were looking for a cozy and warm envirnonment with nice music but not too loud so we could enjoy the conversation. La Merise did not disappoint! The waiter was lovely, the food was varied and good, and the setting was lovely. I would highly recommend it for couples, friends, and family who want to dine without screaming above music!

We all had a wonderful meal from the gorgonzola salad to the beef Bourgoine, beef wellington to the salmon. They were on the top of their game. The steps down to the restaurant could be better lite.

La Merise has become one of our favorites! Several excellent items on the menu for our taste, specials which include vegetarian meals, attentive and friendly staff, make this restaurant a great evening out for any occasion. Quiet and cozy!

The food is good, not fantastic. I have been disappointed in a couple of dishes, but I think their forte is meat, and a big portion of it. Onion soup is great. We love the ambiance and that people dress nicely to come here. The wait staff are dressed in black, which fits the theme, but it's really disappointing to see that the barman and hostess (perhaps they are the owners?) are dressed so badly, like they don't care about the impression it makes.

Meh. Le Merise doesn’t seem to be as good as it used to be. The hostess didn’t seem very happy to see us and could barely crack a smile. Salad and moules were great but the steak frites was tough and underwhelming.

I wanted to really like this place. The food was so so. Wine was very pricey for what is offered. The service was fair. The waiter was very nice, but I think the restaurant understaffed that evening. We waited to get our order taken for over 25 min, the table next to us had to wait over 35 min to get water and place their order. Tables all around were trying to flag servers down for drink refills or to check on the status of their food. The steak entrees were pretty good, though the fries with the steak frites tasted frozen & fried. The salmon was not good. Very fishy smell and taste which was concerning. Again, really wanted to love this place. It has good reviews, so perhaps we just went on an off night. Wishing future diners a better experience!

What a fabulous brunch! The cottage cheese pancakes were so light and fluffy with a like crunch on the outside, and crispy bacon the way I like it; the salmon bisque was divine. French bread, escargot And the Tuna Niçoise salad cooked to perfection! Service by Jackie was great- finishing with a cafe au lait, perfect all the way around!!
