Been going here for years now and the service and food have been great every time. My personal favorites are anything with the mole sauce, arroz con pollo, and the fajitas.

We read the reviews and came here based on them. Totally on point. This place looks a bit divey from the outside but it’s amazing inside. Great atmosphere and the food and drinks were delicious.

The staff are so awesome!!! Very fun and food is amazing

Their food is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Although, it does get a bit noisy for my taste when it gets busy, so we mostly get take out. The service is very good whether your dining in or getting take out. The employees are always smiling and they make you feel welcome.

The food was great but whoever the cook is must be a smoker. I had Carne Asada and the flavor was excellent but was so salty and I couldn’t even eat the beans.

Cooled glasses and huge portions fair price decent food

Been going there for years, never had issues until recently. Ordered a shredded beef burrito, confirmed with shorter lady at pick up that it was shredded beef, should have checked it before I left and saved myself some time. it would seem the owners are skimping now as I have learned they now mix in shredded pork with their beef "for flavor". After speaking with them on the phone and being told I was wrong and it wasn't pork cause it wasn't in green sauce, I ended up driving back out to be refunded so they could see it was in fact an entirely shredded pork burrito, no beef at all. $16 for a burrito, I expect to get what I order and paid for. This establishment has no integrity in their advertising or customer service for that matter. Horrible customer service. Didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of forcing me drive back out to be refunded for their "mistake" dude is just trying to save a buck at his customers expense. Check your order before leaving this establishment.

5 stars on everything seriously!! As far as I am concerned, they have the best Mexican food north of the border. Excelente!!! Y excelentes margaritas

I’m so happy I tried this place!!! The staff were very eager to please, and the atmosphere was quaint and welcoming. But the food… the food was amazing. I had mole enchiladas, and all of the sauces, from the salsa, to the picante, to the mole were probably the best I’ve had to date. La Plaza de Mexico is my new go-to Mexican restaurant in Spokane Valley.

I ordered Uber eats food was extremely cold and cherry on top there was a hair in my food about 2 -3 inches long white thanks a lot were here in hospital over a week was starving my appetite gone never again

Typical Mexican restaurant setting, no surprises. The service was friendly, fast, but not bothersome. I've eaten here many times and always enjoy their food. They have street tacos but oversized, which I love! Really can't go wrong here if you like standard Mexican Restaurant dishes.

This is our second visit and it was just as good as the first. The house margarita was delicious (and only $5.95 at happy hour at the time of this review), but the moonlight margarita is a good choice only if you like VERY sweet beverages. Expect more of a Tex-Mex kind of experience regarding the food. I ordered the Chile Colorado and she ordered the vegetarian fajitas. The Chile Colorado was tender and balanced with flavors (tomato and pepper). The vegetarian fajitas were very diverse and seasoned well. The dish included rainbow carrots, which might seem odd and/or insignificant - but it implies this restaurant isn't cutting corners and seems genuinely interested in delivering a great experience for customers. Service was very friendly and food arrives very fast. According to some people from Texas at the table next to us, this is their favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. So, unfortunate for the snooty Californian that gave an unfair one-star review, but maybe check the menu before you come next time so you set appropriate expectations or, better yet, go back to the place from whence you came.

Large and delicious (by Spokane standard) portions. But if you have ever had 'real' Mexican food ... Two observations from our recent visit: If you order a dinner salad, it will come dry with no dressing. Dressing costs an extra dollar. I asked why dressing costs a dollar when every other place includes it. "We have to buy the dressing and it costs $11 per gallon, so we charge extra." Seriously? They wipe down the tables between guests ... with a wet rag that smelled like it was from the day before and could be smelled from across the room.

I think my standards are different than the locals around. So to be fair I am from California and really have high expectations. This was definitely not what I was hoping for. Very white washed, no depth of flavor. Carne asada was bad. The mole was too sweet for my liking and the beef in the enchilada was very chewy. I am used to Jalisco style Mexican food, this just felt very bland. Good service and clean place though!

I have never had a bad, let alone a less than tasty meal here. The Arroz con Pollo is my go to. Fantastic, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

The food here was PHENOMENAL. This is honestly one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. The people there were very nice too. I would recommend this place if you like Mexican food.

I have never had horchata that tasted as good as this place serves, seriously omg the glass is chilled and its unbelievable! I'm coming back over and over, oh not to forget to mention the food, it was spectacular.

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. I love nachos and having real cheese instead of cheese sauce made my meal so good! Honestly, the building was a little suspect from the outdoors but the food more than made up for it.

I know my nachos Plaza has the best nachos in town. They are the friendliest staff and Reasonably priced. The chips and salsa are always fresh. We have lived here 23 years and this is the best Mexican Restaurant you will find in town.

Overall great experience. The pozole was huge but the meat was very fatty and broth greasy. Plaza burrito was great, chunk of meat had the silver skin still attached. Chili Verde was pretty good, beans and rice were top notch. Salsa, chips and the horchata were all excellent! I'd def go back, the service was amazing!

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in Spokane. The taquito's are phenomenal. I got the combination enchiladas and burrito plate with pork and it was incredible.

Went because of reviews and so happy we did! Staff was all super friendly (all smiles during a big spill- THANK YOU!!), drinks were well poured, food splendid: The perfect, casual spot for our crew of seven (2 adults and five kids).

Good food, fine service even on Father's day when they were packed full. A bit slow, but faster than we really expected and well done.

We are from out of town and came here because the reviews were so good. And they were right! Excellent food - even the rice and beans tasted great and the best Horchata I've ever had. Really good place!

The large carne asada tacos were outstanding. My expectations were far surpassed by the generous amount of tender, succulent beef in every taco. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. I will definitely return.
