A very reliable place with a serious menu and tasty products. Second time I came here it was the Labour Day and they were overwhelmed by the crowds and that was unexpected. The pastries they have are decent to good, but the food is much better. Coffee is terrible as most places in Portland area.

I ordered the Ultime Polenta and Eggs. It tasted fairly good, but the poached eggs were too runny and I was surprised the restaurant doesn’t use fresh mushrooms. The atmosphere is nice and the server was attentive.

I wanted to eat here so bad!!! I was recommended by a friend, so when I came to Portland, I was definitely going to come by. As I was going to sit down, a big fat 🪳 cockroach was strolling across. The waiter saw it too. We left immediately. It was such a pity, the food looked so good, but I was too grossed out to even think about eating. Ended up going to Ken's Artisan Bakery.

Love breakfast or afternoon coffee with sweets at La Provence! If you can, seat outside and enjoy the nice weather. Their pastry/sweets case is a must see! My favorites are: Pavlova, Napoleon and Hazelnut Eclair. For savory menu items, some of my favorites are the Whipped Feta and Avocado Tartine, Baked Eggs a la Française and Salmon Hash. The service and food is always great!

Went for breakfast with a friend. Food was great, we had a nice booth inside and enjoyed our meal. She had rhe BLT, I had a mushroom-herb omelet, which was good, but not recommended for someone who doesn't like heavy-handed herbs. I chose fruit on the side, which was a nice option. The meal also came with a delicious croissant. There is also a counter up front with amazing-looking pastries that can be taken to go.

Went here as I was looking for a good croissant. I wound up dining in and getting the corned beef hash. The hollandaise on it was delicious but the rest of the dish was a bit bland. The croissant and accompanying jam though 10/10. My waiter was also very on top of it and I didn’t feel like I was being held hostage waiting on the check which is the worst. I think I was probably in and out in 30 minutes from seating to paying the check. The atmosphere is great and feels very cozy on the inside. There’s a large patio with seating as well if you prefer dining outside. You can also just order pastries and coffee separately if you prefer not to dine in and just want something small to eat. This is what I intended to do but decided to sit and eat as I wasn’t in a hurry to be anywhere.

Food is decent but way overpriced. Very noisy. Service is average at best. They automatically add an 18% gratuity (including on soda) to each check, then ask for up to 7% more gratuity on the bill. A 15% tip is actually more than ample at this place. Most of the 5-star and 4-star reviews for this restaurant are obviously fake.

Gorgeous place but the employees are unprofessional and judging. Have yet to eat the breakfast/lunch foods but the baked goods are awful, soggy and VERY heavy in your stomach for the price that you pay. I'd recommend going to St honoré in Lake Oswego instead, they have actual patisserie style and baked foods and their service is so much more welcoming and friendly. I feel like the moment I enter this shop that I'm being judged and scrutinized, not a good look. Won't be coming back.

We hadn't been to La Provence in Lake Oswego for awhile, and decided to go there for dinner. We were both so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food as well as the great service by Lyndsey and Melaina!! Husband chose the "petite hazelnut salmon" on a bed of leeks and I had the "lamb rendezvous with rhubarb". We also got the "signature truffle parmesan pommes frites" (AKA delicious french fries with parmesan and other seasonings) which were as good as we remembered them from last time! The fries were VERY good with the aioli dipping sauce that came with them. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the five lamb chops (or "lollypops" as the server called them because you hold them by the rib bone to eat them!) as they were well prepared and nicely seasoned without being overcooked. This entree also included small roasted potatoes, and vegetables such as green and yellow squash along with onions and peppers. There was also a pesto that went well with the meat. The rhubarb tiny pieces on which the lamb rested were the BEST and were so delicious in their flavorable preparation! I think I would order this entree again just for the lamb and the rhubarb!! OK, don't all of you readers now go out and order this dish and not leave any for ME to order and eat up in the future!!

It is 6 pm on Saturday, the best time for a fine fresh dessert and a dry cappuccino in any civilized city, before the show. Well, there is no such place open in Portland, Oregon this "late", or maybe one, with just a couple of tables for guests at most. So, let's drive 20 minutes (not walk 10 minutes, like in Vienna, Paris, Budapest, Kyoto, etc) and you find this gem in a small town next to Portland to the South.

It's a bit smaller than the one on SW Barrows and without its relaxing view of the lake. However, the patio has some greenery around and it does feel cozy, which is helped by the heaters! The indoor area feels cozy as well and a bit French. There is more variety of dessert options than the savory ones, though. I heard the server mentioning there was no more croissant for one of the ordered dishes which has a croissant on the side despite the rather pricey cost of the dish they serve! 😳 It shocked me because a French boulangerie with croissant doesn't exist! It cannot be called a French boulangerie without croissants!!!

This place should be a good deal or your best bet around in LO. Problem is the place is hyped up. The name is so fancy but the service and food lacks the energy. Pastries looked to be a little burnt and I have had better croissaints from a store bakery, my local bakery does a much better job. I tried the most simple brekfast dish I could order and tried my wife's too. Lets just say for how fancy it all is, the flavor is bland. As for service, don't go when its busy. The staff was not a friendly bunch and most of the wait is waiting on the stafff to get around to you. Atmosphere is ok but tables are crammed in. Lots of room for improvement here and I hope they do for everyone else. I will not revisit this establishment as their menu is not appealing and from what I have tried, just not worth it.

Start with tea - breakfast tea for me and peppermint tea with oat milk for my wife. I had the west coast Benedict which had salmon, avocado and a croissant along with the standard but excellent savory hollandaise sauce on poached eggs accompanied by hash browns. Throw in a chocolate Yule log and it was lucky I could still walk after eating all of that. My wife who is GF and DF had the salmon hash with egg whites. I don’t see a big difference between other breakfast places and this place. Aside it being in Lake Oswego and selling croissants. Service really depends on the time of day and your waitress but don’t find it uncommon to get a waitress that doesn’t really want to talk with you.

This is one of the worst experiences I have had at an eating establishment and I am in my 70s. I am a frequent patron of the brand in Portland but never in Lake Oswego. On Tuesday morning, I finished my appointment in Lake Oswego and saw your restaurant to my delight. When I walked in, I received a strangely unfriendly face who seated me with an array of menus. After looking over them and looking around the space, reading my Lake Oswego magazine, no one came by to take my order or ask if I even wanted coffee. I gave it 15 minutes as I watched new guests enter the restaurant, being served for take outs, etc. Still no waitress. I finally walked over to the cash register to inquire about any chance for service. The girl with blond hair out up in a bun told me she will be with me shortly. 19 minutes went by, coffees were made and sold, pastries were sold and still no waitress. At this point, I sensed racist overtone(I am of Asian descent) and left. I eventually got my coffee and scones from a very friendly and efficient staff from Zupan. I know your corporate culture can not possibly be what I have experienced in Lake Oswego. Your staff, especially that girl, needs customer service training 101. I will never patronize your Lake Oswego store. The atmosphere is racist.
