Food was good. We had a big group but 4 ended up at a separate table. They didn't mind, but wish we could all have been seated together.

New to Lake Wales and this is my new favorite restaurant in the area! Breakfast is always so good. Yesterday we went for lunch and from the Sunday Special, I ordered the Mahi Mahi fish; it was delicious! Servers are always nice and attentive. Dana was our Server yesterday; we were a party of 6 and she did awesome! Definitely coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful place, a little pricey, the cobb salad is fenominal but the hamburger was dry.

Nice classic breakfast items and great service. The country eggs benedict included biscuits and sausage gravy. The grits and biscuits and gravy were ok. Adding a bit of hot sauce made everything a bit more flavorful. The coffee was good.

We don’t live near here so this was a pleasant surprise. We were visiting Bok Tower for the day and wanted to go somewhere local to eat lunch that wasn’t a chain. We saw the reviews for this and went here. I can only express that when you think of a diner, this place has nailed that small town feeling. The inside looks really well taken care of, featuring a lot of chrome that has surprisingly few fingerprints to be found. The burgers and drinks were not overpriced like you see a lot of places. The burgers were also very big. The wait staff seems like they’ve worked there a while. They know lots of customers and they looked confident as they walked the dining room. Most of the customers when we were there seemed to be elderly, with many parties of 1. We will definitely go back again. We enjoyed our meals and the service.

We ALWAYS stop here when passing through. Breakfast and lunches are great. Large portions, cooked perfectly and excellent. The host and wait staff are friendly and courteous. They will answer my questions about menu items and will make suggestions. When not serving the wait staff is checking that everything is good or they are picking up empty dishes from your table. When someone leaves, they quickly bus the tables and sweep around the table if necessary. Restroom is always clean and no water all over the counters . We would HIGHLY recommend the Lake Wales Family Restaurant any time.

Food was good. I wouldn’t say it’s the best diner food ever. But we only had your regular breakfast food. (Eggs, hash browns, pancakes and bacon. You can’t really go wrong with that. I saw they had toy bins for kids and I thought that was such a cute touch. Family friendly environment and the service is great.

Everything was excellent! We stopped there based on the Google reviews and what people were saying about it. We saw a large group leaving (every one of them had take-home containers, so I knew there were large portions) and I asked them how the food was and they all raved about it. Even though we were there after 2:00 for a late lunch, the place was still pretty busy. Got a good feel about the place. Older, but very clean. Customers and servers alike seemed very happy and the servers were buzzing around very quickly like they were used to being busy and working efficiently. They were just about finished pulling the tables apart and setting them from the big party and greeted us with a smile. The server brought our drinks quickly and the food came out very fast also. They had quite a few specials, including shepherd's pie, quesadillas, tacos, and tuna and chicken salad - quite a range. My wife had a steak and onion sub with french fries and I had a tuna salad wrap with onion rings and coleslaw. Everything was excellent, just the way we like it. Large portions. I love good coleslaw and theirs is especially tasty. Creamy Style.

Walking in, they make you feel at home. The staff gets your food ordered and to you in a timely manner. Ps. Their breakfast is amazing. And they treat the kids like gold. It is truly a family restaurant.

Quaint family restaurant. Service was impeccable and friendly. The food was served quick and hot. Be sure to try those fluffy pancakes. It's a great place to dine and the food is affordable.

It was almost closing time and I felt a lil rushed out... But it was ok

I had a Rubin. It was very good, they had a special for pastrami Rubin. You get a choice of Calslow or fries. I had fries and boy they give you A lot of fries. all very good.

My fiancée and I stopped here for lunch after looking at a wedding venue. We were noticed and seated before we even finished walking through the door. The wait staff was super fast, attentive, and nice. The food is also delicious and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

Best diner in town and the best diner around daily specials are always a good deal and pretty yummy service is nice and the food came out quick we always take guests here . The place is always packed for a reason.

Love the quality and value of this place! The staff is great and very attentive. I try and go anytime I'm in Lk Wales. The manager Xristos is a great reflection of the type of staff that works here. Him and his staff are always smiling anytime you walk in the door. Being greeted with a smiling staff is very refreshing. If you go, ask for Amber! She is an amazing server and was very polite and on top of her game. Keep up the great work, I will return again soon :)

we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions served at such reasonable prices. i enjoyed the hearty portions and the overall value for money. during lunch hours, they offer a complimentary soup, which was a nice added touch. without a doubt, i look forward to returning on my next visit to lake wales!

This is one of those places that you stop for lunch while traveling Then stay around another day to get the whole menu had the fish ( fresh and hand battered) Coleslaw sweet homemade stuff. Then grabbed a delicious all beef hot dog

My wife & I stopped for lunch on our way to Sebring and was surprised at how much food they gave us. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with fries and my wife ordered the Cheeseburger with fries. I was barely able to finish my sandwich and the plate mounded with perfectly cooked french fries and my wife had to take half of her cheeseburger with her. The place was very busy, but the service was excellent and the food was great and there was plenty of it!!!

The most that I like is the friendly people, Chris always great with everybody specially with the kids. Super clean I love that. My Frank & Martin always yummy

I'm glad to write my review. From day one and every time we had the opportunity to stop in or get the food to go. It was a great experience. I figured out why the name is Family restaurant. LWFR has the ability to make you feel like that FAMILY. The owner is the most pleasant gentleman I've met. The service is outstanding. To top all this off us the Chefs/Cooks constantly create a delicious meal. Thanks LWFR.

Great diner food and very friendly service. Our waitress Kaitlyn was so nice and brought refills on coffee several times with a cheery smile! Coffee was fresh, hot and delicious. We ordered breakfasts. Portions were huge!

We always get lunch here when we are in the area. This time, we purposely took a route on the way to a campground so we could eat here! Plenty of room to park if you have an RV/camper/trailer.

After a visit at Bok Tower we were starving. We pulled up around 230 knowing we'd have to be quick as they closed at 3. The place was packed! We were able to get a seat immediately. Within about 15 minutes we had our food and were enjoying everything we'd ordered. They even gave us a bowl of the soup of the day on the house as it was the last of it. The food was so good we left our plates clean. The prices were fair, servers were all helpful to us and each other. Loved this little spot, and hope to go back soon!

Food is overpriced but the food was good, not great. Waitress was very friendly. Booth seating a little tight. Typical diner atmosphere. If you have catfish or shrimp you must have hush puppies (we’re in the south!) but none was served. One way they could reduce the price is reduce the amount of fries served with the meal. A good experience but nothing to make me want to go back.

My daughter and her husband went on an anniversary cruise, so I went over to Lake Wales to see if the "kids" had destroyed the house. As it ended up I took my 3 grand daughters out to lunch at Lake Wales Family Restaurant. They are all teenagers; from 14-18. LWFR was a great choice. 3 kids and an old man all had prompt service and a very good meal! In a former life, it seems to have been a Denny's sort of franchise. But as good local dinners only can do; they outshine Denny's by far and wide. It's the sort of place, were you new to town or traveling thru, that you would thank your lucky stars to have found. It's not 5 star. It's not fancy. Just a great busy local dinner, which says a lot in my book. Food quality is good. It amounted to 2 hamburgers, a chicken nuggets, my Reuben, and a burger to go for Gram. Bill was about $84 w tip as I recall. So it is well priced for local, but I wouldn't call it expensive as 14 was tip. 5 meals for $70ish and no complaints at all works for me. I've been there 4 or 5 times in the last say 4 years and it has been consistent. Service was very good and that from a very busy waitress, whose name i wish I could recall. But this was about the grands. They are busy enough that we took one of the last two parking spots. But with people coming and going it seemed to work out for having gotten there just a little after high noon. We had to wait for maybe 10-15 minutes at rush hour, but it went quickly. Crowd was a mix of an older crowd and working folks. The grands were probably the youngest. Tables are a little close, but noise levels were ok for the number of folks there enjoying lunch. Overall, LWFR is a highly recommended local jewel! And in case you were wondering, the house was fine, teen occupied, but fine.

Today was our 1st time with a group of 7 people at 11 am on Sunday. The restaurant was extremely busy with approximate wait of 20 minutes. Our server was Dana who made the long wait worth it. Loved her energetic and positive approach. I ordered a Greek Salad and my husband ordered the Frank & Martin breakfast. Our server kept up on all the beverages and special requests within our group and it did not take long for the food to arrive. Food was good, but it's the customer service was what made our visit a 5 star rating. We highly recommend, and if you're lucky to have Dana waiting on you than it will be a real treat.

This place has amazing service and fantastic food that is reasonably priced. They give great portion sizes and you get a complimentary bowl of soup during lunch hours! My partner and I went here once or twice a month for a while starting some time in 2021 - 2022. We had a long distance relationship where he lived in Clermont and I lived in Port Saint Lucie. Lake Wales is roughly halfway between us so we’d meet up to see each other here for the day. Even during the rough times of the pandemic, this restaurant seemed to still thrive with guests! Staff here are very friendly and welcoming (a special highlight to Dana if she still works there!). After the first time eating here, it became the only restaurant in Lake Wales that we’d eat at. Though we’ve moved out of state now, we still make a point to visit here when we’re back in the area. :) Thanks for all the wonderful memories here!

Fast service and reasonable price.

First time there and I have every reason to go back.

Got the spaghetti and meatballs. I should have bought a can of Chef Boyardee's and heated it in the microwave. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the water was fine. Passing thru town to go skydiving but would not go back.

I enjoy breakfast at the lake wales family restaurant. I am usually greeted by a young man at the front door. I am usually seated right away in a booth as I have a prothtic leg the makes many chairs uncomfortable. The waitress on this visit was quick and attentive. I ordered the western omlete , hash browns, and pancake. I had several refills of coffee and ice water. My total was $15.00. The food came to order and was very good. I did not use the bathroom but i have in the past and it was always clean. I recommend breakfast at lake wales family restaurant for a good meall.

I asked for flat crispy bacon and the waitress said that we don't do that on the weekends then she would not come around and give me coffee had to ask the other waitress, the potatoes were not cooked all the way and some of the bacon was in pieces and cooked but then I got one piece of bacon that was Rawsh,i will not be going back to their as I come through to the East Coast

I really enjoy going to the Lake Wales diner my sister and I love to go couple times a month on Fridays the food is always good The waitresses are always very friendly and prompt it's just an all-around nice place.

This is a great local diner with very good homemade food. I have had both breakfast and lunch here and the food and service was great! Be prepared for a short wait to be seated at times but it’s worth the wait.

Great Restaurant in Lake Wales! Came in last week with my family and we each enjoyed a sandwich and shared the fried green tomatoes. Personally, I loved the blt club sandwich and excited to go back soon!
