Treehouse Bar is the place to be. Dined here a couple of times. Petit steak & fries & Stone fruit salad were excellent and well seasoned. Then I got the Papadelle pasta, a bit pricy in the 40s but incredibly delicious with the crunchy bits. Amazing food and good service and friendly patrons, mostly locals.

I'm sorry to post this. The food was mediocre at bedt, and the serving size was extremely small. I had King Salmon that was cooked well. However, it seemed less than 6 oz. and there was very little else. It was very expensive, especially with the serving size.

Cute lil place in downtown Taos. Husband's bison steak was amazing and the crab cake was delectable. My saffron pappardelle was a bit too salty, and l was unable to finish it because of that. The carrot cake and brown butter ice cream were heavenly!!! Service was attentive even though we could tell our waiter was quite busy. We will definitely return!

The food and drinks were AMAZING!! We went here for our 30th anniversary. I had the Bison Tender Loin which was flavored and cooked to perfection and the carrot puree and broccolini were perfect compliments. The wife had King Salmon and it too was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We started with the Jumbo lump crab cake and was leery about the pimento cheese but after trying it it too as excellent! Wish I knew the Maitre D’s name but he was very accommodating and helpful. P.S. Make reservations for the dining room even on a Monday!!! The ambiance was phenomenal dining with the apple trees made for a perfect anniversary dinner. If ever in Taos this is a must on your bucket list and I know we will be back.

The service was first class, as one would expect at these prices. However, I wish our waiter would have just been himself rather than that disingenuous syrupy sweet presentation style. I knew that no matter what entree I chose, it would be met with "EXCELLENT CHOICE!!". The Caesar salad was plentiful and delicious, with an excellent house made dressing. I don't recommend the Saffron Papardelle. It's a small portion with uninspiring, too salty sauce. The king salmon, however, was perfectly cooked (medium) and very tasty.

I don’t usually order chicken, but the ingredients for the dish sounded interesting. It came with quinoa, corn, asparagus, raisins, tomato, and a pear morstarda. It was tender and delicious. I could have eaten the toppings by themselves. My husband had the saffron pappardelle with crab and prawns and house made pasta which was equally good. They made us some outstanding gin and tonics also.

I came here randomly because Aji confirmed my reservation when they were closed on the 4th. Excellent restaurant! While the lamb was very good, the chilled cantaloupe soup stole the show. Incredible! Top-notch service to boot.

Stopped in for a night cap and dessert, to pleasantly stumble upon the Tree House Bar upstairs. The drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere and service were matching. Will definitely be prioritizing this place and testing out their dinner menu on our next visit to Taos.

Meaningful vegan options - they have a separate vegetarian menu with a few marked items that can be vegan, and it’s way more substantive than “house salad without cheese.” We enjoyed all of the apps (Mediterranean plate, shishito peppers, beet salad) and entrees (vegan mushroom vegetable risotto), cocktails and wine. Our server was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Terrific service In the upstairs bar area. Risotto good but french fries over-cooked and burnt, soft, too much salt and smothered in thick gravy; the rare steak was good, the medium steak dull and lacking in flavour. I would have sent mine back but the waiter was so delightful I hadn't the heart.

After many years of visiting and living in Santa Fe, we finally went to Lambert's on our day trip to Taos. It was perfect. We were still talking about it today. The calamari was tender and perfectly fried with a delicious citrus aioli. The beet salad was fresh and delicious. Unlike the Lambert's off I-55 in Missouri (not related), there are no "throwed rolls" here, only their own house made fresh bread, served with a salted, whipped butter. For entrees, we had the 4 oz petite filet and the halibut with leek puree and spinach. Both entrees were done to perfection. Service was attentive and helpful. Joe was an excellent waiter. Unfortunately, we were too full to try desert on this trip, but we will try to save room next time.

Immediately seated upon arrival. Hostess very gracious and welcoming. Waiter, David, was at our table within 30 seconds. Bar drinks were served as the menu says they should be. One small note - high end restaurants should have black or white napkins based on what color palette guests are wearing. Bison Relleno was deemed tasty, but too much red chili overpowered the bison. Beef tartare was exquisitely seasoned and beef deemed very fresh. House chips added nothing to the dish. A green garnish of some kind would have been a better choice. Small filet mignon was juicy, tender and flavorful. Asked for medium rare and that’s what we got. Fingerling potatoes were a little overdone but delicious nonetheless. Asparagus was served Al Dente as it should be. Lamb loin and carrots were also big hit. Server, David, was attentive but not obtrusive. Sequencing of different courses was spot-on! Desserts - carrot cake and raspberry torte provided nice finish to evening.

They have a nice outdoor area to sit in which is what we went for. We started with the shishito peppers and bison relleno. Both were so delicious! We are gluten free, and they offer gluten free bread crisps they call “bird seed” in place of their homemade bread. They are delicious salty crisps you can top with butter. I really appreciate all the gluten free options. They offer many organic/natural wine varieties (labeled in green on the menu). The rib chop was cooked perfectly and delicious, and the employees were all kind and attentive.

We were at your fine establishment for our anniversary on May 13th. The food and service were exquisite. Our filet mignon just melted in our mouths and the shrimp were truly giant. First time in Taos and we dined at Lamberts upon friends recommendation. The wonderful atmosphere, great food as well as our fav DuMol pinot was outstanding and the overall dining experience very memorable. The courses weren't rushed and the acoustics were so good, we could actually converse w/o competing with loud conversations and the music. Wait staff discrete, attentive and friendly...would definitely return!

Wish I could give more stars. They got us in on a Saturday night without a reservation and gave us an amazing table. Our server was wonderful and our food was beyond delicious. Their fillet and butter poached lobster tails are out of this world. The entire experience was so perfect that we made a reservation for the next night and ate there again only to have an even better experience because we tried more menu items. Romaine salad was like a much tastier Caesar and the seafood spaghetti is also a huge yes. This place is a MUST visit when in Taos, so call in advance to ensure you get a table!

Fantastic service and the food was delicious. The flavor combos were perfect. We had brie to start, which had these lovely currants as a side with the brie! Dinner I made the choice to have duck breast. The lentil mash under the duck was so good with a kick of spice. The cabbage slaw was also spot on, with dark cherry. I want that again!

Lambert’s was quite possibly my favorite dining experience. The atmosphere - dim lighting, cocktail jazz, Southwest style - was amazing, food was to die for, and service out of this world. I had the lamb shank and an old fashioned with their sourdough bread to start. My server was engaging and present, knew the menu well, and answered my questions so patiently. You gotta go.

Short and sweet - if you’re looking for a proper fine dining experience with an inventive menu, look no further. Our experience at Lambert’s was outstanding. We enjoy great food and love to cook and everything was outstanding! You don’t want to miss this establishment. We had the bison shortrib rellanos, the stone fruit burrata, petite tenderloin, and wild boar tenderloin. The bread pudding for dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and plated beautifully. Oh!! The fresh bread was delicious too. And David was an excellent server. Also the atmosphere is perfect. It was our first time in Taos; a perfect memory.

I love Lambert’s! Our family eats at Lambert’s 3-4 times per year. The food, service and atmosphere is consistently excellent. Located in charming downtown Taos, NM, this restaurant has been a mainstay of fine dining for years. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. The restaurant uses local produce, meats, and fish from farmers and ranchers. The menu always offers wild game dishes. The menu is varied and there are always very interesting and creative dishes. Fresh seafood is also offered. The bar offerings are very diverse. The service is always excellent.

We are local and have patronized this restaurant for decades. We went recently - unfortunately with a friend who had never been - and had a very bad experience. Food was great — (should be, because everything is $$$$), but service was awful. We reported to the manager, who supposedly forwarded our complaint to owner Nat Troy Jr., but no response nor acknowledgement. Can’t recommend Lambert’s anymore — better places to consider in Taos are The Love Apple & Martyr’s. After supporting Lambert’s for 30+ years we don’t think we’ll ever go back.

We were in Taos for one night and chose this restaurant based on other Trip Advisor reviews. We could not have been more pleased. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. We were on the patio and the weather was fantastic, so I highly recommend reserving a table on the patio if not in the winter months. The food was fantastic! I had the Wild Boar and my wife had the Seafood Spaghetti. Both were excellent! Overall a very pleasant evening and we will go back if ever in Taos, NM!

My husband & I had come here the previous year to celebrate our 44 Anniversary. We had a great experience. The service was good, the food was great but most of all they recognized how special this event was to us. We decided to come back to celebrate our 45th ANNIVERSARY. The food was good, the service was good but nothing was done to make us feel that the event was special. If you have a special event to recognize, this is not the place to go. We will look for a different place to go to next year for our anniversary celebration.

Lovely restaurant with an upscale, creative dining menu. The menu is seasonal and based on sourcing locally. I am a vegetarian and they were able to accommodate me since the main entrees on the August menu were meat and seafood. They made a homemade spaghetti pomodoro and the pasta was perfect. The sauce had a crunch to it and was well seasoned. I loved it. The Beet salad is excellent with berries. My dad had the filet mignon and he said it was tender. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We sat indoors and the room was a bit too dark. Needed to use our phone flashlights to read the menu. Definitely pricey but worth it.

Coming to Lambert's for over 20 years I was very disappointed to have my first negative experience. It took an hour and 15 min to receive our food which was not up to the standards of a restaurant of this caliber considering the price we paid. When this was mentioned to general manager, the only thing they would do was cook us another meal, but at that time we had waited so long that was not an option for us. Tables around us and already received their dinner and dessert by the time we received ours. They offered no apology and no accountability.. The way they came to the table to address our concerns in the middle of the dining-room made us feel very uncomfortable. Unfortunately I will not be coming back to Lambert's or at the tree house and will not be recommending it to visitors of Taos.

This was our first visit. We read many good reviews and thought we'd give it a try. We arrived earlier than our reservation, so we headed upstairs for a delicious cocktail. The bartender was very friendly and quick with his service. The restaurant interior is cozy and romantic. Our server was top-notch! He was very friendly, professional and attentive. The food was simply amazing! We don't mind spending a lot of money on an experience like this.

Excellent dinner and experience in all respects! We have eaten in many fine restaurants across the country and in Europe, and this was right up with the best. Service was superb ("Joe" and others), wine list was excellent, and the food a feast of taste. Even the music (quiet jazz recordings, e.g. Miles Davis) was perfect for the dinner. Kudos!

I cannot say enough positive things about this amazing restaurant in the heart of the Taos historic district. Though busy, they found a reservation for the evening, and it only got better. Our server was amazing! She took the time to explain our food options, including finding plenty of options for my wife who needs to eat gluten free because of celiac. We didn't feel pressured to order off the main course menu and found room to enjoy two wonderful desserts. Along with an excellent after dinner drink selection. Highly recommend getting a reservation and having a wonderful evening!

We had a lovely candle lit dinner and our server was friendly and helpful: she helped us learn more about good hiking nearby, and make a wine selection that was satisfactory. Food was the mediocre part, small portions off a pricey menu, but none of it better for it’s smallness. Our dishes felt experimental and perhaps a bit stale. The menu heavily features fish and lobster which baffles me because of how high and dry Taos is- it’s maybe the least oceanic place I’ve ever been, yet here is a menu of fish. Maybe this is a good place if you’re looking for Maine lobster thousands of miles from Maine, but for local fair I didn’t find it particularly enriching or delicious, 3/5.

This was a very special, unique experience. The atmosphere is very intimate. The sections of the restaurant and very small and closed in. My partner and I didn't realize how upsclae this place was. You'll feel more comfortable if you dress really well.. We ordered the carrot bisque and roasted beet salad for starters. The bisque was spicy, but delicious! Beet salad was good. Bread and butter with roasted garlic were fabulous! As the main, my partner and I both shared the special scallop dish and Regal Crest Farms Chicken Breast. The food was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fantastic. I would highly recommend both dishes.

Beautiful atmosphere for such a beautiful dinner. Visited Lambert's from Denver and had a great experience. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food was impeccable! We will be back whenever in Taos! Thanks for accommodating us at the last minute for dinner!! ❤️❤️

We were at the Treehouse bar upstairs. They are very knowledgeable both behind the bar and the wait staff. Had great drinks and food brought up from Lamberts. I especially enjoyed the Brussel sprouts and the duck confit.

Elegant dining experience in an intimate setting- must go when in Taos! My server, Joe, was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Clearly excellent at his craft, he made my night at Lambert's stellar and enjoyable. I'm not sure why Medley won Best of Taos awards this year for best food and service; I think both awards should have gone to Lambert's.

Delicious food, this is one of Taos' high end restaurants. Located in the heart of downtown in a historic building, it's a charming setting. The patio is really nice all summer. We like to go there for special occasions. The upstairs bar is fun, and doesn't need reservations, and serves small plates.
