I'm sorry for this score but the truth is I didn't like how they serve the chicken because they give it to you without potatoes or salad and they don't sell a quarter of a chicken, I mean that Peruvian style thing is not true. The salad at the same price as the chicken. The staff doesn't even inform you well, they just bring you the chicken and they just tell you that it doesn't come with chicken or salad.

I ordered the Pollo Las Brasas and it was okay but not as flavorful as I expected a signature dish to be. Given that it has the restaurant's name I expected more than just plain regular chicken, but it was so bland I began to dip the chicken in the huancaína that came with my Yucca fries. The yucca fries were good. The side of rice was also on the bland side. I understand that rice is not an inherently flavorful food itself, but there was something about it that seemed a bit off for steamed rice. Nothing about the atmosphere caught my eye (good or bad) but I had gone there to try Peruvian food, not to look for a particular type of environment. Las Brasas is one of those restaurants that will automatically add a tip for large groups; for them it is six or more people (there were nine of us). Ordinarily this is not an issue for me but given the multiple service issues we encountered (e.g., giving orders to the wrong people, bringing out the wrong dish, etc.) it didn't feel right to have a 20% tip automatically added to the bill. Then to add insult to injury they charge 20% tax on top of the automatic tip.

Food (whole chicken a las Brasas) lacked flavor and did not seem freshly-cooked. The dips did not help much either. The salad and quinoa also were fairly bland. Very disappointing overall. Service was ok. Probably will not return.

So many good things about Las Brasas. The food would be amazing even without the very best fried and rotisserie chicken anywhere in Georgia. Especially the fried chicken. 100 dollars to feed a family of six too. Simply amazing.

I wanted a change in pace so the wife and I decided to give this Latin place a try. So glad we did! We began with the Octopus app that was so good I probably ate more than my fair share. It came with a small salad with a cucumber dressing and some yucca. We then shared a 1/2 roasted chicken (which they brine for 24 hours) dinner with some beans and rice. It was all so good that we do plan to return. Shoutout to the wait staff for their hospitality, patience and suggestions.

Dingy place with disgusting floors made of concrete and simple wooden furniture a la third world country feel. Server was extremely cordial. We have been in many peruvian restaurants, Boston, Orlando. This is by far the poorest. I had Lomo Saltado it was a small amount of beef (which actually tasted good) but the mixture of onions, super sogy and tasteless french fries varely souted onions, sweet peppers and cilantro was lacking in taste, white rice was tasteless as well. My wife had the Keebob which was very tender but the sauce tasteless and spicy so she did not eat half of it. The pasta with pesto was bar none the worst I have ever tasted it was gooey and limp and had no parmesan! and varely any pesto taste. My sons fried chicken was ok (hard to mess up fried chiken) but the fries were overcooked and ladden thrue and throug with oil so not cryspy at all. This restaurant is worthy of a no star.

I've downgraded my review of this place to two stars because the last two times we went were terrible. One time we sat down and waited at least 5 minutes without being acknowledged, all while the server is standing there just looking at her phone. We decided to try it again (months later) & ordered 1/2 chicken, beans and fries. The half chicken was puny and the beans were cold. I had a good experience initially, before COVID, but after my two visits since then, I don't think I'll be back.

MORE AT Google

Overpriced and bland. We went here for my friend's birthday. I was very excited about trying it, and she said she liked it. We all got several plates to share, and ended up spending a lot (about $200). Sadly, the food was mediocre at best. Most of the dishes had very little flavor, and tasted like they could have come from any basic Latin restaurant. The Ceviche Mixto, which was recommended by our server, came with fish, octopus, calamari, and shrimp. The calamari and octopus were very chewy, and the whole dish basically just tasted like lime juice. There was very little seasoning. Even the hominy and sweet potato were covered in lime juice, so there were not other flavors in the dish to help balance the tartness. The best part was probably the onions. I was very excited about the Patacones, because I love fried plantains. However, I have several Puerto Rican family members, and I know what a friend plantain should taste like. Peruvian plantains may be made differently, but these basically just tasted like the fried batter. The plantain flavor was not very distinct, and there was basically no seasoning used. On top of that, the sauce, which I believe was something cilantro based, was also very bland. The empanadas and yucca fries were both very basic. The empanadas were very dry in the center. The fries were okay, and were cooked well. They were not soggy. However, neither of these dishes were exciting enough for me to order again. We also ordered the Corazon, which is beef heart, which was recommended by a gentleman in our party who had in fact been to Peru. I have never had beef heart before, but I found the texture to be rather chewy. It did taste like an organ, and had a texture that is undesirable to me. Having said that, some people may like the texture and the taste. Next, the Lomo with vegetables, rice, and french fries. The Lomo was okay. The flavor was not exciting, but not bad. It was a little more well-done than I would like, and not any better than a typical restaurant chain would serve. The vegetables and rice were okay. The fries were obviously soggy, as they were drenched in whatever sauce was on the Lomo. The one thing that I did enjoy was the half rotisserie chicken. It was not amazing, but it was good. It was juicy, and the flavor was good. I wouldn't say that the seasoning was anything special, but I liked it. It was the only good part of the meal to me. The staff was very pleasant. They were happy to make suggestions, and were very inviting. The atmosphere was okay. The table we sat at had a very bright light, which is a little uncomfortable for me. It was not a very romantic atmosphere, or even inviting, but a little warmer than a diner might feel.

Definitely one of the better options for peruvian cuisine in Georgia, but I was most disappointed with the Pollo a la brasa, Which is the staple dish of this restaurant. It was one of the main reasons we came and something I was really looking forward to enjoying a good wood-fired taste but it was not there. Their cooking method was what I expected, though the chicken didn't taste bad. The sauces were not so unique and could have used more flavor so it couldn't save/complement the chicken. I was disappointed at some of the other options as well. We had been here before they moved to this location too but they still didn't improve much. In fact, they took away some options that I enjoyed such as the Peruvian olive mayonnaise. If you're in the area, it's not a bad option but definitely not one of the better peruvian restaurants I would recommend. Pollo a la brasa 7/10 - Although they claim to use authentic wood fired ovens to cook the chickens, the chicken definitely lacked that wood fired smoky flavor. Regardless of whether they actually do cook the chickens in an authentic peruvian wood fired oven, the flavor on the skin is underwhelming, thus do not penetrate deep onto the meat itself. There is no flavor presence of any of the traditional peruvian herbs used for the marinade on the skin.It is still tasty, but not to the level of the better peruvian rotisserie chickens I have tried in America or Georgia. Arroz chaufa de pollo 9/10 - One of the best Arroz chaufa de pollo around georgia, definitely top 10 (as of 2023). Although the chicken itself doesn't contain much of the flavors of the seasoning, it added good texture to the dish as opposed to using chunks of chicken like it does traditionally. Pulled chicken allows the flavors of the entire dish to further season the chicken and absorb flavors easier. If the chicken was better seasoned and had a true wood fired flavor, it would remarkably elevate the dish. The rice was flavorful, buttery, fragrant, and best of all, abundant. The portion size was beyond satisfying for the price. It could easily feed 2 or more people. There was a strong and evident taste of all qualities of authentic Arroz chaufa on every bite. All of these combine it to make it one of the best I have tried out of the many peruvian restaurants I have tried. Lomo saltado 6/10 - no strong or smoky flavor anywhere on the dish but tasted good. As far as decent Lomo saltados go, this is it. Nothint special and you can find this same flavor at many other restaurants. Not only that but the portion size was not as good. Rotisserie chicken sandwich 5/10- This was a pretty sad excuse of a sandwich. The flavor of the so called sauce that was included in the sandwich was barely recognizable, likely due to the incredibly small amount of sauce they put in. As previously discussed, the chicken itself does not have much flavor outside of the skin so you essentially have a pretty bland and dry sandwich. Although it is the most basic of all the sandwich options, they could have focused Papa rellena 5/10 - I'm afraid that the use of lamb meat for the filling does not suit this appetizer well. Traditionally, ground beef is used as the filling.I can only assume a modern twist was attempted when using lamb meat, but it was not properly executed. A proper execution would have focused on a more flavorful seasoning selection for the lamb meat filling to compensate for the natural taste of the lamb meat. Both the potato and filling could both have used salt.

Great food. We went on a Saturday night. The place is a little small and it fills up quickly. We came at just the right time and were seated right away. The food was excellent. Literally every dish thing we ordered was delicious. I had the 1/2 chicken with fries, it was awesome. My wife ordered the Arroz Chaufa Mariscos Mixto and we got the calamari and yucca as well. Warning. The Arroz Chaufa is a huge serving. Two if not 3 people can easily eat off it. We tried the Peachy Keen cocktail as well, loved it. I had been thinking of coming here for years, I should have come a long time ago. Now I will say that the place didn't strike me as being overly authentic, but admittedly I'm not well versed in Peruvian cuisine. But I will most certainly vouch for the food. Authentic or not, it was really, really good.

If you have a gluten allergy be wary of this place, the server told us the oil was served with all of the other meals, hence there is cross contamination and it’s not truly gluten free. I wanted to try this place for my gluten free sister’s birthday and was sadly disappointed by the fact that many of the “gluten free” meals are prepared in the same oil as the other food with gluten in it and therefore not gluten free. Either the menu should change to reflect the cross contamination with a warning or they should actually make things gluten free. If we hadn’t asked, this could’ve landed my little sister in the ER on her birthday, just by trusting the menu’s so called “gluten free” labels.

Food is good, staff is great, personally feel like the ambiance could be better. But no complaints, sabe rico. I didn’t understand why they had micheladas and elotes, their lúcuma cheesecake was 8/10. -a peruvian

The attention of the waiter and the employee was very bad. The chicken was not original from Peru and the sauces were watery and to top it off they don't take cash to pay. no star deserves this restaurant

The fried chicken is INCREDIBLE! Get plenty of lime for it. I don’t live in Atlanta, I live 3 hours away, yet I make a point to come here when I visit, because the food and cocktails are just that good. I’ve been here several times with friends and this last time came with my significant other just for me to have my favorite ATL dinner, mybsignificant other is deathly allergic to soy products and nuts among other things. The waiter, was the most friendly, caring, individual we’ve ever encountered that is in the service industry, this was the first time my significant other has ever encountered someone that not just cared about his allergies but initiated the conversation and validated via conversations several times over with the kitchen to make sure he could eat what was one the menu and no concerns of cross contamination. He was able to try the food and we will be returning as often as we can, Please go visit this location, the service is really great and the food is even better.

I ordered the saltado lomo and asked that it be made spicy. They did not disappoint. The food was very flavorful and the spicy was enough to feel the spice but your mouth was not burning. The serving portion seemed small but I left stuffed. The sever was informative and very accommodating. Great lunch date spot and I'm sure it'll be an amazing dinner date spot too. Parking is limited though and was my only complaint.
