Had an inspection early in flagstaff, stopped by on my way out for some breakfast burritos. And they were great! Came with salsa and a bag of chips which were also delicious. fast service and friendly as well .👍

It deserves to be the highest-rated Mexican restaurant in the city on flagstuff, and its signature dishes live up to its name. The boss lady/waiter sister is quite sweet and lovely, you are the American sweet girl! (It would be a pity not to be a movie star in the next state 😜) It is easy to recommend dishes to tourists, which is really a big help to those of us who have difficulty in choosing. Today's signature margarita cocktail is full of ingredients and very spicy. The chili powder floating in the glass is just what I like. I'm already tipsy after one sip. I have never been asked to show my ID since my trip on Route 66. Today, I was politely asked to see my ID by Sweetie. No matter if this state is more strict, at least I am confident that I can win the game! Asians don't age, haha! It is highly recommended for Chinese tourists who come here to visit this restaurant. Coming from the Bayu region of China, I think this taste is very suitable: I don't want to eat Chinese food, I want to eat some other flavors, but I'm tired of it. American burgers and fries.

Wonderful and very personable people. The Santana family that runs las gorditas are just so kind. I have come here as a flagstaff local for a long time for the juevos rancheros w/asada (my all time favorite) prior to move out of state. Now I'll still gladly drive 11 hours to come just for the food and friendliness of everyone here. Super affordable and delicious food, cooked with ALOT of love.

My first time at this establishment, Based off the reviews I thought this place was going to be good. My food arrived and it was cold. My enchilada was pretty small. The waiter never checked on us, my drink was out and it was hard to get anyone's attention. The food was ok, I did like the tacos. Would've been better if it was hot. It wasn't busy when we sat down.

Being a true connoisseur of Carnitas, I stopped in for a Carnitas quesadilla. I was pleased when a small bowl of tasty chips was placed on my table. Wasn’t expecting that at all. There is a salsa bar with a variety of options. I chose the guacamole salsa and really enjoyed it on the chips. The cheese on the quesadilla and the Carnitas were good, but not a very generous serving ;-( especially for $11. Everyone was pleasant including the other customers. Las Gorditas has a nice neighborhood and family vibe and though there are no frills, I’m glad I stopped in.

We walked in at 6:55, and the wait staff gave us very concerned looks. We saw the closing time of 7:30, and asked if it was ok for us to be there. They told us they were closing soon and clearly did not want us there. Seems like a bad business practice to react badly to customers coming in. Change your closing time if you don’t want to serve customers as late.

I think this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town! Every time I go there I'm left saying "dang that was realllllly good." The meat isn't super dried out like some places in town. Everything Ive ordered has been right on point. I just tried their red chili gordita. I can't believe I've never tried something like this before. I am going back after work to buy more for dinner. Definitely worth the couple bucks Edit: After posting this review 3 years ago, I came to update that this is still my favorite Mexican food place in town. Overall, they have the best tripas I have ever had. Tell them to make it extra crispy! Really good.

By far the best authentic Mexican food I was visiting for the weekend in flagstaff and I wanted some bomb authentic Mexican food and I came at his restaurant and I’m glad I did the service and food is by far the best next time when I’m in town in flagstaff I’m most definitely stopping Back in I highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏽👍🏽

I visited Las Gorditas Mexican Food with high expectations due to its positive Google reviews. Sadly, the experience fell short. The food was overly salty and lacked the authentic flavors one would expect from Mexican cuisine. We tried a variety of dishes, including steak and chicken fajitas, a carne asada burrito, and a combination platter of enchiladas, but they all left us wanting more in terms of taste. The fajitas where missing sour cream and guacamole. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere seemed like a small family-run business. To improve, I would recommend reducing the saltiness and infusing more traditional flavors to elevate the dining experience. As of now, I must admit, the overall impression of the food was rather "blahhh." However, I genuinely hope the restaurant can make necessary changes and succeed in the future. I wish this small family run business the best.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the red tamale platter. They give a complementary bowl of tortilla chips, and there is a salsa bar. I really liked the guacamole salsa. The tamales were okay. Service was excellent.

I was a regular customer and ordered a to-go order. Went over to pick it up and they closed right as I was walking up to the door. Like they flipped the sign right as I walked up. I tried motioning that I had a pick up order and all I got is a "sorry..." Terrible customer service especially to someone who was a regular. Would not recommend anymore.

The food and service was amazing! It is family owned and operated. Our waitress (the daughter) told us that we had to try a gordita. We were thrilled that we had ordered them…so light and fresh and tasty!!! We are visiting Flagstaff and typically try something once. We are planning on going back and we all know what we are ordering!

Stumbled on this hidden gem while staying a few days in Flagstaff…the 5 of us were surprised at the delicious gordita's that were wonderfully different. I had the chicken enchiladas and a bean and cheese gordita, they were excellent. Service was great and friendly, all the food was fabulous. It was so good we went back again before we left…highly reccomend.

Off the main strip of Flagstaff this place is a gem. Locals hipped us to this restaurant and it is worth the trip out of the main part of downtown. Order a bunch of gorditas for appitizers, share, enjoy!

We failed to use our fail safe system. If the restaurant isn't busy at a time it should be, we move on. This place wasn't busy at 5:00 in the evening. Food was over spicy, even for Mexican. Service was good, but the location is in disrepair. I would look for a place that's busy during the dinner rush.

We loved the gorditas and #1 and #14 combo plates. The business is clearly family-owned and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Good place to eat but bad service. The sign says that the restaurant closes at 8 but our waitress said that they don’t accommodate anybody after 7:30. So basically they close at 7:30.

We have been going there for the last ten years. Always enjoyed it but have noticed a change in in enchilada sauce, but love the food anyway. Regardless, we are good regular customers and tip very well. So when we were told at 7:24 that they only served to from 730 to 830 to go orders and couldn't serve us. Now they new who we were and told them it was our daughters graduation celebration and we had a cake and were told no, they couldn't serve us. We of course were disappointed but thought, hey it wasn't 730 yet. My wife is a waitress and I am a chef, and both agreed that, that was not the way to handle the situation. Customer service all around is just not what it used to be. It will be a longtime before we go back if we do Yes.we would have taken the tabl3 in our restaurants.remember, no customer, no business. This is the nastiest restaurant I’ve ever been to. I saw cockroaches climbing on the walls, my food was undercooked, and the restaurant owner tried flirting with me. I do not recommend this place. There was also a hair in my burrito.

Called to see how long was the wait time. The girl who answered said it was too long and were not Taking more people this was 6:40pm. I then asked if we can order for pick up. She said no it's too busy.......... Wow how low can a business go to say no to either. Why be open a business if u can't handle the pressure when busy. That's ridiculously and unprofessional.

Small quant restaurant, don't let the building have you turning around. Food is authentic Mexican food. We're from Texas and we know good Mexican food. Owner and staff very friendly and checked on us regularly. Ask which enchilada is spicy if you can't eat spicy.
