We enjoyed the history and personal touch given us. The food was excellent and definitely a place we would return when in the area.

A must try! The place is impeccably clean, service is top notch and krautburgers are the best you will find.

I was a big fan of this place. You could say, I loved their little buns. Until one day, when i was really excited for my food to come out, and i heard this DING. Moments later the lady brought my hot dogs. I asked about the ding, because I had this silly notion that maybe they used a microwave. Ha. Ha. Heh heh. "That was the microwave," she said. "Did these hot dogs come out of the microwave?" "Yeah", she said. Like it should have been obvious or something. I got a refund. And i called back the next day to complain. Mostly because I was disgusted to think i had unknowingly eaten microwave food during my previous visits. The boss or manager or possibly owner couldn't care less. She acted like i was ridiculous for caring. Which makes me wonder if she served a microwave hot dog to Guy Fieri? "Shut the front door!" This is worse than the lady who puts Velveeta Cheese in her Mac-N-Cheese. If I wanted a microwave hot dog, I could go to gas station. Gross! It's disgusting to serve anything out of the microwave. It's worse than that not to disclose this to people. How embarrassing for Triple 'D'.

I have been enjoying the food here since 2011. The krautburgers are phenomenal, and the homemade honey mustard sauce is the best. If you ever have the opportunity, you should definitely give this place a try!

The Kraut burger here was hot and fresh. This is a small Cozy Restaurant with very friendly helpful staff. The food is made hot and fresh. Great prices here also. This restaurant offers inside and outside dining.

We love this place! This time I had the hot dog wrap with mustard, very very good! As well as the rhubarb cake, very moist and the strudel was perfect! My husband had the jalapeño jack Lauer kraft burger and loved it. We've been eating here for over 10 years and it is one of our go to quick places to grab some great German food.

This place is always amazing. It's a staple for my wife and I as well as my in laws who drive in on the regular from Aurora. Never had a bad experience here. Perfection.

The kraut burgers are so good! We got the American, the Jack, and they have a breakfast one with bacon, egg, cheese and hashbrowns. It's worth the drive to Brighton. We bought a loaf of bread too. It's the same bread they use for the kraut burgers. You won't be disappointed.

Fast service, excellent food and the workers are always friendly. I give 5 stars and they deserve every one of them. Please expand to a small shop in Golden, I would be a weekly customer. Thank you for knowing what great food is.

Took my German grandma here and she loved it. She was so excited that they had a German recipe book to look at inside. She initially wanted just a krautburger, and then changed her mind to eventually settle on a krautburger, the corn chowder bread bowl, and an apple kouga dessert. OMG - how did I just now find this place?? I LOVE IT!! We grew up with my mom making cabbage burgers, as well as so many of the other menu items so I knew I had to try this place, even if it was a haul to get there. The kraut burgers taste just like my mom's - soft dough that is not thick or crusty - it's just pillowy soft and delicious. I also got their homemade chicken noodle soup - with homemade noodles - and I am not normally one to fawn over chicken noodle soup but this was HEAVENLY! Oh my gosh, it tasted SOOO good! What a delicious homemade meal of wonderfully good comfort food. We will definitely go back and get a big order to go so we can freeze them for colder weather! YUM!! The 3 ladies working there today could not have been nicer. What a joy to have happy people helping you!

This place is absolutely incredible! I actually get cravings for their kraut burgers all the time! It's a very small and unsuspecting spot, but well worth stopping in for some lunch. The menu is fairly limited, which is good, because there really is no reason to deviate from the menu items that they have perfected. I bring friends and family here, and everyone loves it. Great little family run business. A must stop for a quick and easy counter serve restaurant!

Neat concept. But food quality is just okay, and you don't get a whole lot unless you order multiple menu items. No fountain drinks either (canned drinks only unless you want water) Summary: not bad, but not something I'm going to come to Brighton just for.

Lauer Krauts has been on my bucket list for years now ever since I saw Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives featuring this restaurant. Yes, I finally made it! The service was genuine and great with my party being checked on multiple times and even me being reminded to get my soda from the soda machine that I had forgot. As for the food, it was decent but it missed the mark for me. I ordered The Jack Lauer Kraut Burger and I was expecting so much more on the sauerkraut side of things. The bread was good and I had no complaints there, but the ground beef and cabbage seemed to overpower the insides of the kraut burger. Again, I was expecting so much more sauerkraut. I was expecting a little cheesiness or a tad bit of heat from the Jack cheese but that didn’t happen either. I wanted this to work so bad because I love sauerkraut but it just didn’t! On another note, the Broccoli Soup was amazing!!!!

This is one of my favorite places to get something to eat. Everything here is awesome. Wonderful food, awesome staff that always smile when you come in. True comfort food.

You will just have to try it definitely a treasure in Colorado.

I had the Kraut Burger with pepperjack cheese. I grabbed a side of their honey mustard and spicy brown mustard. I also had their Clam Chowder The burger was amazing by itself or with sauce. You can tell it's homemade, and delightful in every way! Clam Chowder was amazing, and perfect for rainy weather! I have been so sick of all the chain restaurants and so happy to have found a local place to support! I am counting down the days until I return to bring my family! Staff, keep it up. The place was warm and inviting, and the food matched. Thank you!

I have had the breakfast burger and the krautburger and soup all ways great and fairly fast, you can call ahead of time and it will be ready for you , a 30 minutes lunch does go fast .I did try one of the desserts a long time ago I think it was some kind of Berry German cake, I was not fond of it .

Wasn't impressed, the food was okay but not what I expected.

Good was good. I was craving bread pudding, but it was more a loaf that came with a small cup of a certain type of milk but not enough to saturate. Good flavor, just not the consistency I was hoping for.

I drove from downtown Denver because I wanted to try the rhubarb cake and knowing my luck the bread pudding as a backup. I wasn't able to get either one. The kraut burger was excellent however small. I wish they had a larger menu and if I'm ever in the area I will go back. The employees were excellent.

The people and the food are what makes this place remarkable. This gem has authentic kraut burgers and personable employees who go above and beyond to make your dining experience exceptional. As we sat here eating, my father and I saw the employees calling customers by their first names, making conversation, and getting to know them! Love this place—we will be back!

OK so I had the Kraut burger with pepper jack. Brown mustard on it also. Oh my gosh I’ve never had anything like this ever before in my life. It was so good it was warm and soft and flavorful. The people were absolutely so nice it took the order. The place was super clean. We enjoyed sitting out on the picnic tables outside and eating. Every one of us said we would be coming back. You’ve got a try it.

Soooo good!!! The only place I get kraut burgers. My family also enjoys the Frito pie, and chili dogs and Much more. The staff is always plesent. I like when I go there they call many of their customers by name. It's clean and easy to find. Pieces are good as well.

Super friendly staff, beautiful presentation (even as a take away order), and delicious food. The bread is so soft and the inside is seasoned perfectly (especially if you love black pepper). I got a combo deal that included a drink and a soup. There was a wide variety of sodas, sparkling waters, and still water. I chose the chili for my soup. It included the option to add on cheese, onions, and oyster crackers for no additional cost. It is a chili con carne, so vegetarians beware. It was super delicious with the right amount of spice and heat.

Amazing little gem hidden in Brighton! A friend recommended them, and glad I tried it. My friends enjoyed their soups, I enjoyed the krout burger and my bread pudding. Amazing value for less than 15 bucks. Will definitely be making this a regular stop
