Really good food. Unbelievable friendly service. They make you feel like you are a part of the small town. We go there all the time for lunch!! I've done the "Tea" with friends and it is a great experience. Then roam around their shops for a fun afternoon!!

Just such a cute, fun cafe downstairs with a formal tea room upstairs. Historic general store in beautiful downtown Ridgeway. Well worth the trip even if it’s just for lunch.

Hands down the best tea room in the country! So much attention to details! The shop downstairs is absolutely adorable and filled with wonderful goodies. You get to pick which beautiful tea cup you want to use for high tea, lovely printed menu describing each course and what's being served that month, they warm the tea cup before your first pot of tea, you get to try 3 different teas (one hot tea of the day, one iced tea of the day, and then one hot tea selected by your table), the food is generously portioned so you aren't leaving hungry as everything is delicious and not to mention you get a piece of cake on the top of the tray which is already filled with several yummy options. The balance between savory and sweet options is great and it's so nice having a soup course after the scone course. I love going during the different holidays as they have wonderful theming to each tray. My family and I have gone to a couple dozen tea rooms around the country and always see if they compare to Laura's as they are our gold standard!

Food was unique but often lacked flavor. A great selection of teas. Nice table setting and it was fun to pick our tea cups. The server was Chris... A remarkable young man who ran his tail off making sure ( 5 tables ) had what they needed. The strawberry soup was delicious.

I'm so sad that my daughter her husband and our grandkids are getting ready to move from the area after 12 years. It has been my tradition to visit (from Florida) this location for high tea at every visit to see the kids. I will miss the high tea and girl time.

Birthday gift from our soon to my wife and I. Charming decor. Tea room looks like it could be in an old Victorian home. Tables nicely appointed. Server very pleasant and informative. Tea selections varied. All the meal courses from appetizers to dessert were very nicely thought out and executed. One suggestion: In keeping with tradition and adding a touch of class you should consider cloth napkins.

I brought my sister here for her first experience of high tea and it was so utterly fabulous! We had an amazing time and she was totally blown away by it all. We loved getting to try on all the hats and take pictures and selfies and get all set up. Then we got to pick our teacups, which was something new to me too and I absolutely loved it. It's just such a cute and personal touch. The service was fan-freaking-tastic too. Everything was delicious and you can really tell that the chef has fun with their menu. I am absolutely looking forward to coming back here again and again.

My daughter and I went there for there newly added Bingo and Tea!! It was my Mothers Day gift. We were served hot tea from a china teapot. Also cold tea. Then we were served a planned course meal with fruits, salad, cookies, etc.. It was one of the best time I've ever had! The decor of antiques in an 1800's three story store. Classy fun!

We have been coming here for 9 years. We love this place. Today was a flop with not enough wait staff to accommodate patrons. And then icing on the cake after waiting 15 minutes for our orders to be taken was a poodle enjoying the facilities. A dhec dream.

We celebrated my niece's upcoming wedding, and it was wonderful! So much fun and the food and teas were delicious! I would most definitely recommend!

This spot is such a pleasant surprise for everyone! If you go here, please know that the teas you are about to taste are all natural and all very unique, flavorful, and calming! All the food is fresh and visually pleasing, and drinking from the beautiful selections of teacups makes for a very nice, cozy experience! The food is delicious and so is the tea, what more must I say? You feel cute and pretty while eating the food and dining in the warm, quaint little area.

It’s worth the one hour trip com Charlotte to here to enjoy the best tea house I ever been! The food is delicious!!! The teas are amazing, huge variety. Come and try it!

We had such a wonderful afternoon at Laura’s Tearoom. Easy parking, fun atmosphere( fancy hat selection) with photo opts, beautiful teacups to choose, AND there’s the main attraction! The afternoon tea is amazing- vast list of unusual teas, soup, scones, tea sandwiches, homemade candy, and cake! It was a memorable event shared by friends celebrating a special birthday! Special thanks to the employees for their care!

Visited this place for my sister's 61th birthday and made it a ladies' day with a party of 4 of various ages 69, 61,52, and 14. We had a fantastic time!! There are so many varieties of tea, and the delicacies served with it made it extra special. I recommend it for all.

I've been a Laura's customer for years and years. The food in the cafe is amazing, absolutely delicious and the service is great. Upstairs in the tearoom, I'm sad to say there seems to have been a decline. The last time my friend and myself were there, the food came out extremely slowly and there had been corners cut. Such as canned chicken in the chicken salad (canned chicken has such a distinct taste) and canned icing on the cake. For what you pay for the high tea experience, I would expect better. That part was disappointing but at least the cafe is still good as ever.

Going there for the first time as a walk in was confusing. I had to ask a customer already at a table “how do we get a table?” There’s was no hostess, there were empty tables, but you couldn’t sit there like we did, come to find out there was a waiting list and then it was 30 mins. But with no hostess how were we supposed to know. The couple in front of us called in their lunch order, come to find out (cause he was mad) their food order was never delivered to the kitchen and it had been 30 mins of them waiting. My group noticed a few tables were paid and ready to leave, so I told the lady “I’ll go stake out their tables” and she said “oh please don’t!!” Well, you just lost a 4 party group for lunch. Other than the old store feeling of the tea room do not think I will be back.

I’d never been to a tea house before and this place has set the bar exceptionally high. The tea was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. I’m going to visit South Carolina again just so I can come back.

Phenomenal! This little gem of a place is nestled on the corner of a little town called Ridgeway: population under 300. We drove about an hour to visit this tea room and I would certainly drive an hour again! Laura’s did not disappoint from the quaint little gift shop, expansive selection of teacups and saucers to the delectable variety of teas. But let me take a moment to shine a light on the food… We had a four-course served to us that began with a delicious and refreshing strawberry soup served with a lemon poppyseed scone and Devonshire cream (THE most amazing scone I have ever had). Next served was this sweet and tangy bow tie pasta salad topped with watermelon, blueberries and feta cheese. Everything was fresh and scrumptious. The tiered beauty brought before us blew our minds with the flavor combinations: spunky, creamy pimento cheese wedged between cinnamon raisin bread. Trust me, you wouldn’t think to hear it, but man, was it gooood! Some favorites were the simple fresh tomato slices atop (bread?) and guacamole cups. There were so many others you’d have to come a try for yourself. The middle tier had fresh fruit delights and the top had chocolate cake and chocolate covered strawberries. Well done, Laura’s! We will be returning!

There are actually two tea rooms in a 10 mi vicinity of where I live; where Laura's Tea room is a little over an hour. This was my third time enjoying high tea at Laura's tea room located in Ridgeway North Carolina. Upon entering you are invited to choose your own teacup and saucer and then you are seated in a lovely atmosphere presented by beautifully set tables. The food is artistically presented and delicious. You must make a reservation and confirm before you get to enjoy Laura's Tea room.

Love going to the tea room. Make a reservation and go upstairs, choose a hat and take photos then choose your teacup. Plan to be there for a while, go with great company and take lovely photos! It's about $25 per person but it isn't just great food or great tea, it's an experience! If you have young children, you can enjoy the downstairs Cafe and typically there is room for walk ins and the Cafe menu is also great!

We arrived at opening time and found parking directly in front of the store. We were actually the first customers of the day and were quickly seated and our orders taken. We then used the next several minutes to look around; we were actually there on a scouting mission to see if this would be a good place to bring our granddaughters and it certainly is! Our coffee and scones came out and we returned to our table after checking out the entire restaurant. The scones and cream were delicious! We could hardly wait on the rest of our lunch to be served and when it was we were happy. Our server kept a good check on us and kept everything topped off. Glad we arrived early because the place was very busy by the time we were finished. We truly enjoyed our time at the Tea Room and look forward to returning soon with the granddaughters!

Nice, quaint and homey cafe. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly. And having a pot of tea (served in a quilted cozy) is a must. Oh…and did I mention the AWESOME desserts?!?! While your food is being prepared, or after dining, you must browse as there are so many cute items for purchase. I love this place!

I always loved this place, however, I was going to do a girls trip with me, my mom, and other adults for my daughter’s 6th birthday. ( just my child and her adult family, aunts, etc…,for a special time) They assumed I wanted a birthday party without asking questions and informed me they have to be 12. Lost my business for good! And on top of that don’t assume my kid can’t sit for two hours, she dances in a structured environment for 2 hours straight, and goes to school from 730-230. This had to be the most offended I’ve been in a while! Not all kids are the same, so stop assuming they are!

Laura's Tea Room is located in the old historic Ridgeway in a beautiful building, full of classic touches in architecture. Once inside, you are surrounded by crafted tea cups and teas. The menu consists of assorted sandwiches, salad and cakes. The staff was very friendly. We're repeat customers.

This place is delightful and the staff are helpful and charming. Located in an historic building, there is a sweet gift shop with tea related items to browse (downstairs) and Grandma's attic full of consignment items, upstairs. High tea was served in a dining room upstairs. As we went upstairs we were invited to choose a fancy hat and a vintage china cup with saucer. Once seated, there was a wide selection of teas to choose from, tea cups were warmed and pots of tea were brought out in tea cosies (our twelve year old girls found great delight in the bowl of sugar cubes, asking each other with affected accents "one lump or two?"). The food was served in courses, each presented beautifully. Overall it was a lovely experience. One thing to note: high tea is not set up for young children due to the vintage breakables and the froufrou menu, but it makes for a very special occasion for those just a bit older.

Another great find in Ridgeway, SC. The best tea room I have ever been to. Amazing tea, atmosphere, and the food would blow your mind! The attention to detail in this place is phenomenal. From the outside it looks just like any other small eatery, but once inside it is grand and spacious.

Went with family a few months ago and it was a nice experience with a quaint atmosphere. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want great prepared tea or need tea supplies, this is the place to go. Check them out.

This was a fun afternoon . We enjoyed an afternoon with different flavored teas, excellent food served by pleasant young ladies. This is an older building and we were on the upper level. The table was set with lovely dishes and linen table cloths. We were invited to choose a hat to wear. All in all a delightful afternoon.

Laura's Tea Room is a dining experience for all the senses! High tea is something everyone should do. Make a plan to bring someone you want to spend quality time with -- they will make it memorable and special. The three-tiered tea tray is filled with mouth-watering goodies. Scones with Devonshire cream. So many varieties of tea. Table service is just incredible! You pick out your hat (who doesn't go to tea without a hat?), they warm your fine-china tea cup. You're never hurried so that you savor each course. The experience is on par with the food -- both excellent! You'll be talking about this for a while after, I promise!

We love everything about this place! The food is always amazing! We've had high tea and eaten in the deli and everything has always been delicious and well worth the price. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is one of my most favorite things. It's hard to pick a favorite food, but if you go to the deli I definitely recommend the pimento cheese and bacon sandwich.

We just stoped to look around for a second as I am not a tea drinker and we had the best time ever. Everyone was so kind. The place is beautiful and bigger then you think. We ended up having lunch with a pot of tea which was all very good. I loved picking out my own antique cup to drink out of. And this non tea drinker left with two different kind of teas!

A lot of fun, good food, nice people. We tend to go more for the downstairs sandwich shop than the formal tea, but both are very good. Well worth the drive.

Going to Laura's Tea Room has been a delightful tradition in our family for years. We've celebrated mother's day, Christmas and many things in between. This past week we went to celebrate my mom's recovery from a major surgery and her ability to walk again! Laura's Team Room is a special place run by special people and we can't say enough about how hard they work to make things just right. I have food allergies and they accommodated those to a "T" ;-). Even when I said not to worry about me and that I was just here to enjoy time with my mom and sister, they went all out to be sure I could enjoy high tea as well. Thank you Carol. Thank you Tracy. You all are amazing!

Top tier aesthetic paired with a vintage locale, great food, and friendly, talkative staff who seemingly haven't had a bad day in their life. A little more expensive than you'd expect for the portions, but their selection of authentic collectibles, cutlery, and knick-knacks/antiques more than make up for it by being high-qaulity and affordable. I haven't had the Tea Service, but I will be trying it very soon after such a good first impression.

Had such a great time with my sister at this high tea experience in Ridgeway South Carolina. The high high tea offered an abundance of lovely high quality tea products both hot and iced and freshly steeped. The food selection and courses were infused with seasonal food items and the ambiance was relaxing yet structured and service was impeccable. I will definitely be back soon!

Love this place. One of the best high tea experiences I've had so far. The tea quality was lovely. You get 2 different types of tea choices for the hot tea and they also serve you a featured fresh fresh steeped iced tea which I loved very much. The desserts are lovely the ambience is Exactly what you would want to expect with any high tea experience. Loved the seasonal infusions they added with the different food courses that accompanied the teas. The building is historical and service was top notch. We'll go back again next time I'm in the area.

Service is not good we wait over a hour for food

My sisters and our kiddos had THE best experience at Laura’s Tea Room. The ladies at Laura’s were really sweet and accommodating to my toddler nephew and equally attentive to our elementary aged girls. The food and tea were delicious and the environment was everything we had hoped for in a tea party experience. Definitely will return next time we’re in South Carolina!

We went for the tea experience. It was approx 34$ per person. Upon sitting at the table, we were informed that our two small pots of tea, that were included, were to be shared between us at the table. They had sweet flavored ice tea already at the table when we arrived. It was a bit too sweet for me so I only had a sip. We did not get to pick our first shared tea pot but it was very good. It had a nice berry flavor. I asked for sugar substitute and they were able to find it for me. The second shared pot was a British breakfast tea, it was very strong. It could have used some creamer but they did not have any available. Our courses were a watermelon soup in a small expresso sized cup with a small sugar encrusted hard scone, a small watermelon, feta cheese, pasta and some greens salad, then a small 3 layer tray with top layer; 2 pieces of small sponge cake, 2nd layer contains small assorted sandwhiches and the bottom contained cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered mandarin orange slices. There were 2 of each item on the tray as there were 2 people in our party. Each person gets one item each. My favorites were the orange mandarin slice, the Palmetto cheese and the tuna/chicken? salad sandwich pieces. I didn't eat much of the scone, it was not very good even after putting the Devon cream on it, it was overly sweet. The servers were very nice but the service was very, very slow. Overall, it was good but I would have enjoyed my own choice of teas and if the service would have been a bit faster. If you plan on coming for the tea, plan on at least 2 1/2 hours.

My sister and I had a wonderful afternoon at Laura's Tea Room! The entire experience was fun and the tea and food were delicious. I don't even want to share what we were served because we didn't know what to expect and we loved everything, the surprise was part of the fun! The service was impeccable as well. The store is just adorable with lots to look through and great prices.

The food was amazing as usual. We had the Cuban and French Dip. Our server was Ella and she was great. I would highly recommend Laura’s Tea Room.

Wonderful food and magic atmosphere. The high tea experience is pretty unique and the downstairs is filled with precious stuff. The deli sandwiches are nothing to write about. One can do better at home.

We had the high tea for lunch at the beautiful upstairs area of Laura's tea room. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. They do a fantastic job of setting the atmosphere for this lovely tea room. What made it really special for us was the people that joined us to spend time together. ❤️

My daughter's grandparents weer in town and we all decided to go to Laura's Tea Room. It is absolutely adorable. The tin ceilings, exposed brick and original rolling ladder made for such unique ambience. The fancy hats and back drop of the queen added such whimsy to our visit. We will for sure be back.

My friends and I had high tea at Laura's and oh my goodness, I don't know if I've ever been to a more perfect eating experience! The atmosphere, the elegance of tea and three courses, and the lovely service we received! Everything was perfect. I love how their high tea menu is monthly. Each visit will be new and novel. I can't wait to schedule another high tea with just my husband! It will be the perfect date!

Once again, me, my mom and sisters enjoyed a High Tea at Laura's Tea Room. It was my youngest sister's and my birthday and we totally enjoyed our entire meal there. They even made a special desert cupcake for our birthdays.Thank you for making our day special.

My granddaughters and I have made a bit of a hobby of visiting tea rooms. This is absolutely the best one we have been to, in two different states. Five stars for food, service and a REAL tearoom experience! Only drawback is that I can't bring the younger girls. They have a strict "no one under 12" policy.

If tea is your thing, this place is for you. So many options I recommend just getting tea, though. Went on scone day, scones were good, so was the cream that was served with them. However, the food was a bit pricey for what you get. I put more meat on my 8-year-old's sandwich than I got on my ham and brie for $9. My lunch friends all got reubens, and they were thin, too. But, the service was exceptional, and it is a quaint little shop.

If you ever get a chance, stop by and visit Laura's Tea Room. Beautiful selection of teas, cups, gifts. Granny's Attic on the second floor is a consignment. After shopping enjoy a soup, sandwich and delicious desert.

A lovely old building being utilized as a tea room and gift shop. My daughters and I took my Mom for her birthday and had a wonderful time! The teas (both hot and old) were delicious and made beautifully and the servers were knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a ~90 minute drive for us, but worth it and we will be visiting again.

Such a lovely place! More than just high tea, it was a full experience from trying on hats and picking out your tea cup. Raspberry rose tea was delightful. Can't wait to return!
