Brought my 9 yr old son with me. So much fun seeing all the beautiful cats and kittens. Staff mentioned some of the babies were new, which helped us be mindful of their behaviors. I wish the sessions were longer, I could spend all day in there with them! Can't wait to come back again soon!!

We had such a great time. We are in the process of adopting two kittens now.

My family and I had a wonderful time visiting Lazy Cat Lounge in the Eastbiew mall. The kitties are so well cared for and it is such a comfortable space, so clean and well maintained! We had so much fun and the food and drinks were so good! Sarah helped make our visit so enjoyable!

Nice selection of cuts. You can find anything for your liking. They claim that they have 22 cats in the room, not counted but it's definitely more than ten. Be prepared to book only. If you arrive without booking you probably will meet the writing: "We are sold out till the end of the day".

The owner is super nice and the atmosphere is chill. Everything is super clean and cats are active/friendly.

Always a great time here, only downside is having to tell the wee ones NO, No more kitties ! Haha

It was an amazing opportunity to go meet and spend some time with our furry friends. The place is amazing, on a friendly setting, very well kept and organize. A great way to give this kitties the possibility of a forever home! a piece of my heart still there.

Walked by with my service animal and the lady in the window started spazzing out on me so we walked away, I called the cafe to talk to her and she was insanely rude, told me I have no common sense, also called me a B****, after I simply asked her why she couldn’t have been more kind. I also come often and pay to play with the kitties. Never again will I after that experience. Not sure who the girl is, she has dark and hair and really big crazy eyes. Best part about it was my service animal wasn’t even visible to the cats, and the security said there was nothing done wrong on my part. Chick is mentally unstable.

Me and my daughter have visited many cat cafes and the lazy cat cafe was a very relaxing atmosphere, not cat litter smell, the cats were all very friendly.

My son just had surgery the week prior and I wanted to do something nice for him without having him be super active. He loves cats and omg he was in HEAVEN. I took my best friend as well who is a cat lover, and he almost took a cat home. Whether you're 8 or 38, this place is perfect for anyone in need of pet therapy or a simple cup of coffee! The staff were so nice and went over the kitty lounge rules very kindly!

When it comes to food, I only had a smores cookie lol but it was AMAZING 😁 Everything else was just perfect for a cat lover who can't have a cat where they live 🥺 being able to adopt one of them is the only thing that would've made it better ❤️ Will definitely return ❤️ ♥️

Never been to a cat cafe before, having this be my first experience in one truly was amazing and educational, even though in the end I found out I’m actually allergic to cats, I can say without question, it was literally worth it.

This was an amazing thing to do with my son because we both love cats. I could have stayed in there for hours. If you're considering a cat. This is a great way to get to know some!

My first time actually making an appointment to interact with the Sweet Adoptable Kitties 😻 The Staff were very pleasant and explained how things worked, spoke and answered questions about the Kitties and made sure both the Kitties and Customers were Safe 🤗 There's a fee to go in and interact with the Kitties but it all goes towards Lazy Cat Lounge and the Care of the Kitties. It's a Very Nice Experience and you can buy food and beverages and just sit and watch from the outside or the Cozy People Lounge area 💜🐾💙

I’ve been struggling with the loss of my cat, she was my best friend. I’ve been broken. These little rescues can actually recognize that and they will surround you with love, cuddles, purrs and laughter to help you heal. They can heal you from the inside out. They remind you that you can live and love again. I know that’s deep for a cat cafe, but I felt it. Thank you, little SamIAm.

Did not eat anything so could not rate that. Sad the cats just stated to warm up as my 30 minutes was coming to an end. The long hair orange and white kitty was really warming up to me.

awful. used the bathroom and got told to never come back again and that it was a “me problem” very very unhappy and very unprofessional, do better. Also tried to accuse me of letting out a cat and crossing the yellow line. angry

This coffee shop is unique. You can get your drinks and go into a comfy space where several cute cats await your company. It is walk-in, but I recommend making an appointment for the cat room. Important note: The cats are available for adoption! Also, you must be at least 8-years-old for the cat room.

We went for the mothers day special event and had an amazing time. The girls working were so kind and accommodating, as my grandmother who is in a wheelchair was one of the guests. They were very helpful and their attention to detail was very much appreciated. Absolutely wonderful, and we will definitely be back soon

Great place to take kids. Excellent experience to interact with cats of all kinds.

The vibes were immaculate. The outside part of the Cafe is cute and clean. The have big windows so you can see inside. Reservations to see the cats is pretty much a must. The pricing feels extremely fair. Friend had a iced red velvet late and I have the lavenpurr. Both were so good! And they have non dairy options. The lemon cookie was S o o o Good, soft and very lemon-y. The menu board is pretty high contrast and easy to see/read. The workers were so friendly and very concise on their instructions. They know what toys are cats favorites and you can really tell they pride spending time with them. The cat room was very clean. They also have one small bathroom that was clean and very nice. The cats were all pretty friendly and some of them were snuggly, others had hops! Will absolutely be back and recommend anyone who loves cats to come here. :)

You have to pay a fee ($10 for 25 minutes in the lounge) but it goes to supporting the cats while they await adoption. Every cat is adoptable!! Such an awesome concept!!

I ordered the Iced Tia Tea and it was delicious. The cats were so sweet one sat on my daughters lap and didn't move the whole time we were there. Also it's so clean inside the cat room. I can't believe with so many cats it doesn't smell at all.

They were very kind and made my daughters birthday a blast ☺️ the rules were explained with great detail for accommodating my daughter with ADHD. Beautiful souls working at the East view mall location.

This place is amazing! I’ve been here many times. Their drinks are great, the owners are so sweet, the atmosphere is incredibly calming, and because of the help from the people at this cafe, I am on the way to adopting an esa kitty! They have helped me so much and I am so thankful. Truly an amazing place.

Such a fun way to meet some new fur friends! The staff clearly give the cats a ton of love and helped us meet a lot of the current residents to find a duo who was right for our family. The cats are from multiple rescue organizations but their information was clear on which pets were from who and how to contact them. We ultimately did adopt 2 of that cats we seen (there were 24 residents the day we visited) and the pick up was great! They placed the kitties in our carriers for us and had all the paperwork ready when we arrived. Thank you so much for taking great care of Mario & Luigi until they found their way home with us!

My daughter was begging to go and the Taylor Swift theme only added to the overall experience! We fell in love with a kitty there, however she was already set for adoption.

I am not a cat person, but it was fun to sit in the big window and watch the cats as I drank my coffee drink.

I have been there a few times before. This time l brought a friend and he loved it! Front desk girl was nice and the kitties were so adorable and playful.

We recently adopted sweet Zsa Zsa from the Lazy Cat Lounge and Cafe. Everytime we walked by the place we have to stop and see all the kitties! I wish we could adopt them all! We had a great experience there! Everyone was so friendly! We found the perfect cat for us!

All I can say is wow! This place has really delicious coffee drink, it’s extremely clean and a fun unique experience. The employees are super friendly and are there to answer any questions. The cats! The cats are so adorable. They are making a huge impact in the community by adopting out so many cats. This is the PERFECT things to do with your kids, friends or out of town guests, I couldn’t recommend this experience more.

Love the cats. My only complaint is that 30 minutes isn't enough time. Plenty of cats in different moods to accomodate everyone's tastes. Playful cats, sleepy cats, and everything in between.

Their prices to spend time with animals are a dollar high (in my opinion) but it is the most wholesome experience I've ever had in Rochester. I loved it and I'm definitely going back!

Super cute little place in Eastview Mall where you can go hang out with a bunch of adoptable cats. Be careful, you're going to want to take them all home! The tea was good and the service was great! My daughters had a blast. You definitely want to go on their website and make a reservation before you go. Definitely recommended and I'll be back soon!

This is an amazing zen space to clear your mind and fill your heart while petting and interacting with the cats here.. first time going and I’ll definitely be coming back.. I love that you can observe and interact with these cats in a small intimate environment. It won’t be long before I adopt a purrfect cat to fit into my home- Staff is warm and fun too Thank you guys!

Loved the cafe. Even though I didn't go in to see the cats directly (allergies) I was able to watch them playing and interacting while enjoying my hot chocolate and fabulous cookie ! Very entertaining and I would definitely recommend.

Updating on 10/21/23: The location has new owners and is now called Lazy Cat Lounge and Cafe. I visited today for the first time since the ownership change, and not much as changed besides the decor and the owners. The new owner told me all the staff is the same as well as the shelter partners they work with. The owner is very knowledgable about cats and has done TNR work in the past (trap, neuter, return for feral cats). I had a great time talking to her and enjoyed my 25 minute visit. It's only $8 for 25 minutes and $15 for 55. There were a lot of cats at my visit (18), but none of them seemed overly stressed. Cats will be cats, so some were sleeping, some were playing, and others were in-between. It's still a great place to interact with cats and adopt from, if you're looking for a new pet. --------------------- Purrs and Paws is amazing! I visited during their soft open so admission was only $2 for 15 minutes in the cafe with a drink included. At the time I'm writing this review, the soft open period is open and admission is $10 for one hour or $6 for 30 minutes. If you've never been to a cat cafe before this is pretty standard pricing. Purrs and Paws is located in Eastview Mall across from Forever 21 and next to Von Maur. One half is a room with lots of tables where you can get drinks and snacks. The cats are in a separate room next door. The cat room has plenty of space to sit, with couches and chairs. The cats have tons of enrichment, including toys and spaces for them to relax and take naps. All of the cats seemed very calm and were being well taken care of. Purrs and Paws works with Keller's Kats rescue and all of the cats are adoptable! I believe all of the cats that were there (12 of them) when I visited have since been adopted, which just goes to show what great work they're doing here. It's a wonderful way to support animal rescue and also enjoy quality time with cute cats! Keep in mind that the cats come first -- if you don't know already, cats sleep for up to 16 hours per day! They may not be very active depending on when you visit. Remember that it can be fun to just sit and relax with them if they aren't in a playful mood, and to be respectful and not bother the cats if they're relaxing.

Hop online and reserve some time in the cat lounge. Order a coffee and a tasty pastry and enjoy you time with a dozen or two kitties. Then adopt a few a further the cause. This place fills a niche that needs filling while also providing a great escape from the daily grind.

It was my daughter's Tenth Birthday and she wanted to make a stop here! Shop is under a new enthusiastic owner and the staff was super friendly. They take time with each guest and introduce you to all the furry friends! We did most of it online super easy and we had a lot fun! 🐈💌

8/29/21: Lovely wonderful place to get to know a 🆕 cat 😺🐈 in your life. It lets pre-adopted cats play! We get to watch them frolic. April, 2023: The sales man said they adopted out over 500 cats 🐈 😻 since they opened. I buy their tee-shirts. I wore 1 on my flight back to San Francisco & received THREE compliments throughout my travel home. Consider adopting an older cat. 😻 🐈 They need love & a home too. 8/4/23: I wish I could adopt them all but that would not provide a good home to them. You can only adopt the number you can responsibly care for in a humane way.

I met Sarah today and another staff member there today and wanted to share that my son and I had a great experience during the 30 mins hanging out! Such a thoughtful new business owner (congrats again!) committed to making a safe, mutually therapeutic and fun experience for any cat lover. Well worth the visit. They're doing great work here too finding homes for all the fur-people. Gotta say lil ' Rosa was my fave! We didn't get any food this time because he were getting lunch just after, but we'll be back soon.

Good coffee for a cause, Purrs and Paws has a relaxing atmosphere inspired by cats, but can be enjoyed by anyone. There are tables to sit at and enjoy coffee, as well as stools that look into the cat lounge - where live cats available for adoption are awaiting their furever home. Anyone interested in visiting the kitties can make an appointment to go in, I think for 30-minute visits. The cat cafe is a super place to sit down for a coffee or get one to go, plus your purchase helps an animal in need.

Sarah is a great owner who cares about these cats and the cafe. The cat room is clean and tidy and the cats enjoy interacting with visitors. We love checking out this cafe every time we frequent the mall.

Sarah is welcoming and truly passionate about her mission to connect people with cats and have successful adoptions. She has worked so hard since becoming owner of the cafe. We know these cats are loved and so well taken care of. Thank you, Sarah, for all that you do for the kitties and to ensure their quality of life is the absolute best! We never ate there but the cats are so much fun to watch and they all seem relaxed and happy. What more can you ask for? Love it there! Phyl P

When we arrived there, the Cafe turned out to be a dark, and divided small room, where you have to make reservations to spend 25 minutes with the cats for $8 a person. This amount is considered a donation, which goes to the rescues 100%, according to their information. We were told, there are 13 cats in the closed second room, who have a total of 1 hour break twice a day from visitors... It is not a cat Cafe, where you share the entire coffee shop with the kitties. (Which I understand would be difficult to do in a mall, but the location is not exactly ideal.) In my opinion it would be far better to present a few more cats, and show them in 3 shifts, which would give them more rest. Also, due to the limited space, I agree with limit the numbers of visitors, but let them decide on the donation, they might be far more generous than expected. The way it is now, it looks more like an $8 entry ticket, which is awkward and made us feel uncomfortable, so we left. Having their entrance fee demanded ahead limits human interaction with the cats and therefore, the chance for the kitties to be adopted. This idea should be improved immediately and include a location change.

Highly recommend getting a reservation for the cat lounge. It can be very busy. Lots of cute kitties to pet. It's funny to see them watch the TV.
