Atmosphere was great! View of the lake was amazing. The Red Snapper was delicious. Service was great! The seafood risotto was on point.

May 2024 We celebrated Mother’s Day at Le Belvedere.. The service was impeccable! Thanks Chelsea! The food divine … crab cakes, sushi grade tuna rice bowl, seafood risotto and gnocchi. Yum!!! They also had an array of choices for children, nuggets, sliders, truffle fries and Mac & Cheese. Thank you Le Belvedere for helping make our Morher’s Day so special!

Went about a month ago for anniversary dinner and it was great! The atmosphere was cozy, the views were awesome. Service was great. We were the only ones there for a while, which was surprising to me. My husband had a chicken dish and I got the steak tips on special. Very good! Seemed pricey at first, but the portions were huge. Like 2 meals worth for me! Can't wait to go back and sit outside in summer. You really can't beat the location.

Back open for Thursday and Friday. Excellent food and service in a comfortable lakeside setting. Seafood risotto is my favorite.

But the place is clean, tables are ample spacing. Accepts credit/debit. Parking space is alot to choose and high chairs are available. Bathroom is also clean and spacious. Food is great!

Le Belvedere was the setting for a luncheon reception following a Memorial Service for my Dad. The location was beautiful, the room layout friendly and attractive, the food homemade-tasty, the assigned hostess very accommodating and thoughtful. My only concern was that it was very difficult to communicate with management prior to the event. However, when you were able to do so, they were very helpful and delivered just as promised.

Dena Gray and her staff provided a wonderful venue, delicious food, great service, gorgeous flowers, fabulous hors d'oeuvres, and fantastic evening for my birthday celebration. Many of the attendees expressed their thorough enjoyment of the evening, setting, and delicious, beautifully presented food.

Loved it. From salad thru dessert. I enjoyed it, delicious. Our server, Magnolia, was as nice as she could be!

Beautiful setting, nice place, but totally unprepared for our guests of 14. Waitress overwhelmed or very distracted, had to wait a long time for service, had to ask for at least bread to tie us over, drinks took forever, appetizers took forever, 2 of us got food only because it was delivered to the wrong table. 6 of my mussel order not even open to eat. Didn't get a buzz off my sangria & bought 3, while rest of table waited for food, had to track them down for bill, which was wrong on multiple people. No computer system, they did checks by hand, ridiculous! They could make lots of money if they knew how to run a restaurant?

The food was delicious. Petite fillet mignon, lamb, twice baked potato. Desert was individual cheesecakes. The staff were efficient and helpful.

We had our rehearsal dinner here. Dena is outstanding to work with! She met with us personally to coordinate the menu including unique options for both meal and dessert. She added the most amazing extras to make the night super special. There were many comments and compliments about how the meal was one of the best that some had ever had. Each entree of which there were three, was scrumptious. The room was beautifully arranged and the wait staff was outstanding! I would highly recommend this venue!!!

Been to Le Belvedere twice and enjoyed each experience. The food was really good and the waitress was very friendly and warm. I would recommend this gem of a place to anyone who is willing to have a really pleasant dining experience.

Stayed open even though we were late to our reservation. The staff was incredibly polite and the food was delicious. Great time!

Wonderful restaurant to host a Baby Shower! The food was delicious, staff friendly and helpful and in such a beautiful setting. The only reason I didn't rate this venue with five stars was because communication prior to the event was difficult. We were never able to get an itemized cost for alterations or additions to the menu. A couple of ladies brought their under 6 month babies and we were charged per person for them as well. Again, this being said, the result was amazing!

This is right on Lake Memphremagag, a beautiful lake that straddles the US/Canadian border. Although a little pricey, its still a great place for special occasions. Everything is top notch from the staff to the menu and the atmosphere!

Great staff and service. We went on 7/4 to watch the fireworks and had a great view from the patio. Drinks wer great and food was very tasty. Only complaint is the cheese board didn't say it came with cashews. Partially on me for not advertising my allergy but it would have been nice to have read it on the menu. All in all I would definitely go back!

Right next to the lake, this restaurant is a very nice choice! Prices are good, quality of the food is pretty good! Waitress helped me choose a good gin for my tonic! Would go back again if I return to Newport!

Went here for Valentine's day. Everything was just perfect. I still think the food was some of the best that I've had.

very pleassant decor and informal and formal eating aresa-with outdoor seating in summer. have eaten here many times and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable-unfortuneately the menu does not change much and the offerrings are spotty and on the heavy side. With this location they probaly could afford to get a better cook and menu.

Decided to try their sushi and ordered the 15 piece sushi platter. Service -10 Presentation - 10 Quality - 8 Con - Only 13 pieces , 11 pieces with tuna, 2 pieces with thin slices of smoked salmon & imitation crab in maki roll....no variety like yellow tail, eel, squid, mackerel, shrimp etc. and 11+2=13 not 15 Hot saki worth the $7..... overall very disappointed since this is the only sushi place for over 50 miles

Fantastic location, great food, wonderful service

The food was fantastic the service was kind but a little disorganized. They took good care of us though we were there for my grandfather's funeral / celebration of life. They had great cheese and veggie appetizers as we walked in. And the meal was fantastic!

Fine dining spot in Newport. They have a limited but good looking food menu. And a nice bar. Dinner range from $26 and up. On Thursdays they have sushi night and the prices are very reasonable for that. The ambiance is very nice and you can look directly onto the lake. However service is very slow. We were there for over 2 hours for just sushi and 1 dessert with a long time between when any food was served. Also you only get bread if you order a meal not an app or sushi. Also the lavacake is good but more like flourless chocolate cake and not a lot of lava

My wife and I vacation in northern Vermont every summer and have been pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food, service, and atmosphere provided at Le Belvedere Restaurant in the relatively small city of Newport. The restaurant overlooks beautiful Lake Mephremagog with green mountains rising from its shores, and with sailboats and motorboats coming and going. We love the fine dining room with its table cloths, candles, glasses and quality table settings. The Bistro is less formal but also very comfortable. The menu is quite extensive , interesting, and delicious. Our favorites are the Seafood Risotto and the Duck Breast. And on Thursdays they offer their Sushi Menu in addition to the regular menu. Yesterday we enjoyed sushi, ordering tempura vegetables, tuna tartare, and a crispy unagi roll, all of which were delicious. Their wine list is also very good. However, we are most impressed by the people who work there! We are always welcomed by the hostess with warm smiles, and once seated the server fills our water glasses with a smile and questions about how we are. The waiters and waitresses are also very friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, charming and helpful. Don't miss this restaurant gem when you are in the area. We will definitely be back next summer!

Beautiful views of lake memphremagog

We were just passing thru, spending the night at an AirBnB, and had NO idea what the town was. Expected just basic burgers etc (nothing wrong w that!! Just sayin’...) So our host told us this place had a nice lake view, so we tried it. Lucky we got there early and sat at the bar because the place was packed by 6:30. Setting is great, staff was all wonderful. And food ALL good. Appetizer avocado egg rolls were awesome. Guess what, Thursday is sushi night and my husband loved that. I had a glass of Malbec which was very good, in the right glass, which you don’t always see, and reasonably priced. Obviously a lot of locals. Good conversation.

Location is convenient. In summer, you have the choice of eating indoors or out. Either have wonderful views of the water. Service was SUPER! Prices a bit high $15-40) for VT but worth it. Everyone was pleased with his/her meal and steaks were done to perfection. We will definitely return.

Les drinks et les repas sont excellents. Les salades valent vraiment le détour et la poutine de canard aussi ! Selon nos amis, le risotto et les moules sont extraordinaire aussi. Très bon service aussi.

This was our third dinner at Le Belvedere and we've enjoyed it every time. The food is always very good, they have a good wine list with a reasonable number of choices by the glass, wait staff is friendly and helpful, and the view over Lake Memphremagog is excellent. This is easily the best restaurant we've found in the area. This time the duck breast, in particular, was outstanding. They've started doing sushi, only on Thursday nights, with fish that comes in from Boston that day. If you're eager for sushi and this is your only opportunity, order it and enjoy. Otherwise, wait until you're down in Boston or somewhere else.

Situé au bord du Lac, doté d'une terrasse confortable, la vue est splendide. Restaurant de très bonne tenue, l'accueil est sympathique et professionnel, les plats sont savoureux et bien présentés. Pour un Européen, c'est largement le meilleur restaurant de la ville. Faites le détour ; vous ne serez pas déçus.

If you are a true wine lover, by which I mean someone who is willing to pay more than peanuts so that you are drinking good wine, this is the place for you. But of course, most people go to restaurants for the food and that doesn't disappoint either - original, tasty, affordable. Service is also very and the outdoor tables, while a little far from the lake, still offer a nice view of it.

We stopped based on TripAdvisor reviews and lakeside location. It did not disappoint, quite to the contrary we were delighted that it exceeded our expectations. Breads were spectacular. Cheese Board was an exceptional flight of local cheeses. The Escargot Provençal are something completely different to tease your palate and wonder how to make at home. It is loaded with good stuff, no spoilers. Rack of Lamb delicious but on the small side for the price . Andouille Pasta to die for. Mussels Frites in beer and garlic are as expected made in their sauce and it makes a big difference on the mussels. Wine list was extensive and great selections and suggestions. Special Veal was great. KGB coffee really nice. Last but not least was the fabulous service.

We came here during a vacation in Vermont and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was really great. It was sushi night and though we didn't try any it looked good. The vanilla bean creme brulee was the best I've ever had. Only strange thing was the hostess didn't seat us with menus - and then the waitress didn't bring us any either - seems they do it after they've brought your drinks. Felt awkward.

Always excellent - probably the fanciest restaurant in the area, with beautiful views out over the lake, a gorgeous patio for outside dining, and food which is adventurous, but not whimsical. The venison satay was so good as an appetizer, I could have ordered another as a main. Reservations are highly recommended, it gets busy.

Très bonne table bons vins et vue exceptionnelle sur le lac. Rien à voir avec les restos ordinaire de la région service exceptionnel. Très bien situé pour un vrais souper en bonne compagnie. Possibilité de souper également sur terrasse.

The is an excellent restaurant. I loved the food and the atmosphere. The cocktail I ordered was superb! And the service was pleasant and responsive. They have a great tapas menu, and I sampled one of their offerings, which was excellent. I highly recommend it!
