Great formal dining, extremely kind staff, and a nice, romantic ambiance.

Best food in Sacramento area. Best ambience, best service, best wine selection.

My wife and I walked in one afternoon and had the place to ourselves. High marks for food preparation with your personal chef cooking table side. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding the food and beverage menu. Look to spend a little over 100 dollars for dinner for two. Highly recommended

Elegant restaurant where I feel like I'm at the fanciest place in town, at the same time like part of the family. I had the lobster bisque which was just amazing, four nice sized chunks of buttered Lobster and then bisque poored over the lobster. Also tried a very unique Primitivo from the local Foothills, Wilderrotter, I highly recommend it!

Amazing food, great service, and an intimate atmosphere. I love the addition of the wine bar where I can come in and relax and enjoy some great food without getting a reservation.

Our meal was a great reminder of a recent trip through France and Italy. The food is wonderfully prepared, with flavors that blend and contrast and leave the tastebuds dancing! The service has a European charm but with the attention an American would expect.

The maitre d' and server were most attentive and the restaurant is beautiful. Our party of four enjoyed the wine we chose and the hors d'oeuvre cheese plate we shared. The halibut I chose smelled "fishy" and was totally bland; the steaks ordered by two of our party were tough and tasteless; and the lobster salad served the fourth in our group contained three small pieces,. Apparently the regular chef was not on hand, because my daughter reported meeting him the evening she was there and said the food that night was delicious.

Ive never seen a strip mall resturant look n feel so elegant, once inside its like you've been transported to a cozy highend movie scene like in Casablanca. Upon entering, the first thing you see is an old working replica of an 1940's phone booth that acts as the resturants reservation hotline and actually rings when you call. Then your greeted by a distinguished dapper man in a white suit n tie who will seat you and take your order. The menu is a compiling of Chef Stevens very own favorite dishes, with a special highlight, the tableside steak Diane. Which is where you get the treat of having this very seasoned Chef Steven to prepare your steak right at your table so he's sure to get it perfect just the way you want it. Try this at those over priced chop houses. Folsom has many great places to eat and explore but nothing compares to a night out of fine dining in this town like here at Le Charenton! Oh make sure to check out their wine n beer list, its definetly a good fit for this 5 star dining experience.

Seriously one of the most amazing restaurants I've ever been to!!! I hope everybody gives them a try and realizes what Folsom has been missing all these years!! Amazing food amazing staff !!!from the minute you sit down to the minute you leave you feel so special!!!

Had a wonderful evening here last night . I had steak Dianne prepared table side which was off the charts . I would strongly recommend this meal . My girlfriend had the Salmon Roulade which was just succulent. The service was excellent and the Chef/ owner Steve Long came out to talk to us which was indeed a rarity . Our waiter who was French and called William or Llliam (in French ) was awesome . The lovely Jennifer gave us a guided tour of the excellent wines served and a rare treat was the debonair Matre De who sang to us in French . The entertainment was excellent with Bill Chiechi on piano and to top the evening off I was invited to sing with my friend Bill which just made the evening swing .. This is a MUST 👍👍🎶 A most memorable evening .
