Le Rendez-Vous Cafe has made Las Cruces feel like home ever since we moved to Las Cruces from Santa Fe in 2023. Mama was French. We love good country food and elegant pastries so we budget to eat at this cafe for breakfast or early lunch 2x per week. Sundays are so busy we tend to go other days, unless we have early rising company that must have quiche and fancy coffee. We've liked almost every special especially the mussels, and we like the sandwiches and soup better here than any other local restaurant. The pastries and bread (divine brioche loaf) are so good we could just get those for takeout and be happy...but while we're there, why get a great iced tea and soup and salad? On weekdays they offer a mimosa half price for $3, light and tasty enough to make up for a wait if there is one.

I've never had a bad experience here before, but trying the tuna sandwich for the first time, I was a little disappointed. The sour dough bread was too thick and a bit dry. Toasted would have been a better choice. However, their pastries make up for this atypical 'faux pas,' so by all means GO!

This is the best place of French style sandwich cafe I’ve ever visited in the US. Nice atmosphere, not too strong taste.. awesome! Japanese owner is very friendly. It’s worth to try their food and pastry when you come to Las Cruces!

This small restaurant in a strip mall is AMAZING! The service is attentive and the food is great. The pastries are beautiful and delicious. It’s crowded for a reason, but I was seated quickly.

I ordered a fruit cup and side salad. I expected the usual out of season mix of cantaloupe honeydew and watermelon. What I GOT was a delicious cup of a freshly sliced wedge of granny smith apple, a wedge of fresh plum, giant grapes, blackberries, blueberries, a sliced big strawberry and a raspberry. Refreshing surprise! Best fruit cup ever! The side salad was spring mix, tomato wedges, red onion strips cut in bite sized pieces, feta crumbles, and cinnamon spiced pecan pieces, and i chose the lemon vinaigrette. I could go on and on about the food we all ordered, but that was just mine. The menu items are French, authentically cooked. The owners are welcoming and friendly, the service is very very good. Even during a rush! There is a huge assortment of French freshly baked pastries, including assorted macaroons and tarts

Amazing! Great food with really fantastic service. Three cappuccino was one of the best I've had. The classics like scrambled eggs and home fries are done just right. The baked goods are insanely good and tasted super fresh. All the staff was eager to help and did their best to provide us with the best experience possible. Oh and the prices are really good too. We are only in town for a few days but we already plan on coming back here.

Great little place with fun atmosphere and decor, friendly staff that do their best to make you feel welcome and a wide variety of French inspired dishes and fresh made desserts and pastries.

A table was immediately available for us when we arrived at ~11:30 on a Sunday, but everyone who arrived after us had to wait a little while at least to be seated. Popular place! Food was good, and prices were not too high. Waitress was attentive and efficient.

Is this really in Las Cruces? The pastries were absolutely wonderful! The place was buzzing, the staff were fantastic. The location is completely off the wall, can't imagine a French patisserie being here. But here it is. We'll go back any time we're in Las Cruces.

This is as good as pastry gets. Every croissant, tart and cake I've sampled has been heavenly. I go for two and come home with four. If you want to spoil yourself or score points at a party, pick up pastry here. I also had breakfast here and it was very good, but for me it's all about the bakery.

Their cheese Danishes are the absolute best!!

This is a great little cafe in the middle of nowhere. I love having breakfast here. They serve great food and great coffee. The prices are good. They also have a great selection of pastries. Friendly staff. Kind of an out of the way location. There is plenty of parking. Well worth a visit. I wish they were open on Mondays!

Absolutely LOVE this place! I make sure to take everyone and anyone there. I haven’t had a single dish that wasn’t delicious! Even food combinations I normally don’t like I order on purpose there! And don’t even get me started on their delicious freshly made desserts and bakery items!

Le Rendez-Vous Cafe serves delicious French cafe food. It offers nice service in a homey spot in a business strip off W Picacho. We go there at least once a week, to dine and take out pasties. When we moved to Las Cruces we did not anticipate this charming French restaurant and bakery. We now expect fine bread, coffee, and dessert every time we show up. Recently our party had a quiche special, Eggs Benedict, Le Croque Monsieur, and Aggie grilled sandwich followed by fruit tarts, chocolate croissants, and cake. We all were sated. At Christmas we found the place pretty busy, but still got seated within 15 minutes of sign in.

This is my one of my favorite restaurants and bakeries in Las Cruces. I order Christmas pastries every year. And I dine in occasionally. Nothing go wrong. If you want go eat not so ordinary food, go there. My favorite menu is smoked salmon sandwiches , French pate et sausages and all the pastries!

It is always crowded so I can see why. Pastries are good and so are the sandwiches.

Got my birthday chocolate mousse cake here and it was delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I will be back for more pastries--the pain au chocolate look insanely delicious.

The place is cute and quaint. The owner was extremely warm and friendly. It felt like I was visiting a friends house as a kid. I got some Eggs Benedict and coffee. Both were...standard. Nothing special, no flair. This place attracts an older crowd, seeming to be reminiscent of a time or trip in France, It's cute. It's safe. The servers were overwhelmed which is an unfortunate standard these days. I waited about 15 minutes from the time I entered the building till I got a menu in front of me, with available seating. I pull for compassions to the people who are out there serving us and I hope the best for the business. It seemed like they had a loyal following. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I hear they have a great French onion soup. I'd like to try that at some point. Thank for your service and warm welcome.

Breakfast and lunch here are always delicious and the service is great! Everyone is so friendly and the pastries and cookies are irresistible. Great for gifting at the holidays.

Great place. To get some deserts that are unique and delicious. Pricing is ok. If dining in place is worn with age . Pricing for meals is fair . I’ve only eaten there couple of times and I liked it. Nothing super special. But food is different. It’s private establishment. And does show its own style of home cooking . If you’re in to that and want to try something new . Great place to visit. I believe original owners are from France. Personally newer saw them.

Food and service was some of the best I’ve enjoyed in quite a while. The owner came around and casually talked to her customers. Made me feel more at home. Prices for what I ate were comparable to other restaurants. I ate the eggs Benedict with asparagus. Delicious 👍🏻

Finally had breakfast here. Eggs Benedict sauce was good with over eggs and asparagus was cut in half to make it seem like you’re getting two. Coffee is not good. Pastries are good. Wait was 20-30 mins not sure what the hype is all about. Servers were great!

I made the mistake of ordering tuna fish. NOT that there was anything wrong with it, but if all the choices on the menu…tuna? Ah well I will definitely try the ham and Brie next time. I also had their soup de jour. it was amazing! It was a Cajun soup with shrimp. Almost like a spicy etouffe! Yum! Hubby had the American breakfast… thought it was great! BUT… truly the reason to go to this hole in the wall is the incredible pastries OH MY

Just a few blocks off the La Llorona Trail along the river. Tried this quaint place after running the trail with our running club. Had also stopped there on our bikes the prior wknd while riding the trail but they were BUSY (prime Sunday brunch time). Can hop off the trail on your bike and pedal just a few blocks off trail for a bkst, lunch or dessert/snack. We tried 3 different pastries. Oh my! Others in our group had various bkst dishes. All looked great. Average / typical prices. Quaint place to try for sure!

Jul 26th lunch: I had cold cucumber dill soup perfect for todays temp and Aggie sandwhich, hubby had grilled cheese with ham and ratatouille he loved it and he usually does not eat veggies. Just divine left happy and satisfied. You must try the pasteries they are made with LOVE. Stopped by the end of June and they were closed. I was so bummed, but understand they deserve a vacation. So July 25th I was back in town all the way from MN and was SO GLAD they were open this time. Got the apple strudel OH MY where has this been all my life. My hubby said "I hope this place never goes out of business". Best strudel I have had and I have had strudel in Germany. The French bread is spot on. Tomorrow I am going there for lunch and know it won't disappoint. You must stop at this Gem, you will be so glad you did. This will be a regular place once we move to sunny Las Cruces.

occasionally have sunday lunch with friends here--food is unbelievably good--prepared fresh daily--owner shows up at 4 am to start baking pastries--daily specials--today was steak with peppercorn sauce, potatoes, choice of soup or salad--great regular menu--small dining area--always busy, so you may have a wait to get a table--wait staff is efficient, and always courteous--

Le Rendez-vous is always great. Tried the Chicken Caprese sandwich this time and, like all the food there, it was outstanding.

Passing thru on the way to Cali, had breakfast with some family that lives here. I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon which was off the chart. Chocolate Eclaire melts in your mouth

A favorite of ours. We usually get the quiche and soup of the day. But everything is delicious. The pastries are Amazing. Especially love the almond croissant. Friendly staff. Does get full at lunch.

A lovely little nook to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. The decor and atmosphere is calm yet energetic, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Always try a new pastry either there or to go, you will not be disappointed.

The food was great. Everyone in my table was very happy. Their croissant tuna salad (traditional) sandwich was great! The ratatouille side was delicious. The lemon macaron was tasty and their chocolate mousse cake was very delicious. Our server was also great. It’s a very busy place but we were seated quickly. It was a very nice and pleasant experience.

Fry's were burned or over fried, sandwich was good and pastries are the BEST

You're not going to find better French cuisine this close to El Paso. Love their pastries, cheesecake and french onion soup!!

Service was good and food was very tasty. The restaurant was a bit warm and there was a long wait to be seated. They charge an additional 3.5% for the convenience of using a credit card which is BS. That's more than the credit card fee they pay.

Small but quaint. The young man who served me was extremely helpful and polite. The food( quiche and Bisque shrimp soup) was surprisingly good. But it is the tarts, pies, the deserts are the big draw and I find no fault there!! Delicious! Had the key lime tart...OMG!!!

The owner and staff are extremely friendly, customer service is excellent. I had Mediterranean quiche and potato soup, they were both heavenly. I would have loved to have had dessert as the bakery there is quite extensive and EVERYTHING displayed in the bakery looked good and smelled good, but I was very full from my wonderful lunch. This place is a real gem, worth the wait if they are busy.

Today was our first time at this restaurant. And we found it very unique and enjoyable. Very different style compared to most restaurants around. The service was amazing, the food was great and the owners are super friendly. This place is my top restaurant for the city of Las Cruces.

Fabulous selection and good food.

Only went in to order pastries to go, can't really comment on all the menu. The pastries were okay, but obviously they weren't fresh. The taste wasn't bad but the top layer of the Napoléon was rock-hard. It really made the taste experience disappointing. I understand restaurants don't want to waste food, nobody does, but it would be nice to know they weren't fresh from this morning and maybe not have to pay full price for day(s)-old items.
