This restaurant is one of my favorites. The only downfall is the restrooms need to be revent remodeled. The food is great. The service couldn’t ask for anything better they need to work on a dessert menu maybe some chocolate mousse banana Fosters this seems like the chef has always always willing to accommodate anybody. I love this place prices are perfect. Couldn’t get any better. The food is unbelievable amazing.

My only advice here I would put on your website, if you want the tapas menu, you need to eat on the porch, not the actual restaurant. I made a reservation thinking I needed it but found out it didn't count for the tapas menu. Weird to say the least but the food was good.

My husband and I love coming here for dinner and Le Rendezvous has become our go-to place to celebrate. The service is always spot on, with Sofia and Lucius always being very attentive and personable. The food is so good every time. It’s so good that I usually have a hard time picking what I want for dinner because everything I’ve had previously was amazing that I want it again. This past time the veggies were extra garlicky and seasoned and we really enjoyed them more so than other times. For dinner, expect to be here about 90-120 minutes. This is a dining experience and well worth the time spent. Definitely make a reservation as it’s usually pretty busy.

First time here and we came for my husband's birthday. The staff is amazing and friendly. We started with the mushroom and brie puff pastry and it was outstanding! I ordered the duck, my husband ordered the filet au poivre and both were delicious. We also ordered the crepe suzette which was yummy and he loved but they brought him a birthday creme brulee which was amazing! (Sadly not pictured) We can't wait to come back!

My wife and I made a reservation on a Friday night. The place was full and we had issues parking. With that said, once we entered the Bistro, it was very small and intimate. The staff were all extremely friendly and courteous. Even though we had a 730pm reservation, we had to wait about 10 mins til a table was available. It's not a big deal. Once we were seated, our server came promptly, and we ordered starters, and my wife had a dirty martini. The starters were French onion soup(delightful), and I had brie wrapped in puff pastry with an absolutely delicious sweet pear and balsamic sauce. Both starters were delicious. I forgot to mention that we were brought a sliced French baguette with butter b4 the starters. I'll be honest, it wasn't very fresh. But we received a second basket a little later that was super fresh, still warm, and it was fantastic. For entrees, we both ordered the scallops, which came with a garlic bearnaise sauce. The scallops were great. Perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delicious. The sides on the plate weren't so great. We had a tower of thinly sliced seasoned potatoes, but they were burnt and cooked to death. Their presentation was lacking as well. Also were roasted or sautéed carrots, squash, mushrooms, and zucchini. There wasn't much of it, and they were way overcooked. Again, the presentation was lacking. All in all the food was really good with the exception of the potatoes and veg. My wife's dirty martinis were great, and our server was fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves. Had a nice night out without the kiddos. Our bill came to $143. Now I understand prices have gone up everywhere and French cuisine can be pricey. I did not feel the food was worth what we paid. It was our 1st time there. Maybe whoever was doing sautée and sides that night were off their game. I'm not gonna give them a poor rating after 1 visit. We will try again at some point. I would recommend going if you're able to afford it. It was a nice date night out with my wife.

We ate at Le Rendez-Vous and the food was absolutely delicious but the service was not so good. The wait staff was friendly but we only saw our waitress 6 times in the 2 1/2 hours we were there and our water glasses were topped off once. My grandfather also had to ask our waitress for another glass of wine three times before he finally got it. It took a little over an hour for our food to come out. The food was really good but I think if I were to go back it would just be for dessert. All in all, the food was good but the service was lackluster.

Upon arriving, I was informed my favorite waiter was no longer working there. Hmmm? Then I ordered the duck and an escargot appetizer which was superb when I had it 2 months ago. I asked if the same chef was still there and was told no. Perhaps a personnel issue? But the duck was just blah with a very skimpy quantity of sauce and the previously amazing sauce for the escargot was almost tasteless, comparatively. A great disappointment. My companion had the salmon and she did thoroughly enjoy it. I don’t know if I can ever return after having high expectations and finding my food was far from my expectations and the quality and taste I had previously with the same meal. Service was excellent.

This is the spot for high-end true French food in Tucson. We took Francophile friends who recently moved to the area and nobody was disappointed! Two of us shared the 2-person chateaubriand and it was 100% the real deal. Absolutely fantastic. Likewise our other dishes were first tier. The place was packed on a Friday night, with a mostly older crowd, but families and young couples on dates as well. The staff were capable and friendly. It was not cheap, however. With a modestly priced (and very good) Burgundy wine, cocktails, and tip, we ran $100/head. You get what you pay for.

As you can see, the first picture is from last year, from my now as of the 28th of Feb this year, wife who raved about this place and it's souffle. We came here today around 530pm, Feb 29th 2024. We were greeted happily and warmly by a nice lady with dark hair, whom I told we were celebrating our wedding here. We were all excited and happy. However by the time the "dessert" hit the table I was left very curious. Mine had hardly any powdered sugar, hers significantly more but that's not what I'm here to talk about. The souffle it self looked, felt and tasted very over cooked. It had a ever ever so very slight sweet taste, with over cooked scrambled egg bread after taste. The souffle was over cooked so much that it was the same color around the whole inside of the ramiken that if I flipped it over it wouldve ALL plopped out and not have fallen apart. Incredibly disappointed. The server who sat us, the one with dark hair came by and asked how it was. Frankly, I was honest, the inner Gordon Ramsay. Told her as described above and she let out a chuckle, that it was not a new opinion, and that the year prior there had now been a new owner and pastry chef. She said that they back then believed the OG pastry chef put too much grand marinet in the recipe. So with that person gone, new management and a altered recipe as well, well, you can see the difference in the pics. I could literally pick up up parts of this thing like it was over cooked egg pastry bread. She graciously apologized to us and let me know she would let the pastry chef know. Not long after an older blonde woman who had made a remark to us about us only ordering souffles and taking our plates from the table before we had been served asked us how the food was as well. I began telling her the same thing as the first and also that I felt it was so bad that I wasn't going to pay $30 for the two we had been served. $15 each, 13 the year prior, upselling a WORSE souffle. Anyway, she got testy with me, angry even, "well everyone else here seems to enjoy them" and I mentioned how the recipe had apparently been charged year prior and she yet again began to get on me about it, "no no it's always been the same recipe" so I was lied to or what? Safe to say, I didn't believe her at all. Wonderful service to the one who sat us, terrible food from the pastry chef, and terrible service from the one who picked up our plates and tried chewing me out for my opinion on a souffle that would make the French wave a flag of war, and not of surrender. Never coming again, and glad I didn't pay a dime. If its not broken, why break it? (Btw, all clientele eating were elderly white people with 9 toes in the grave and you're wondering why they seem to maybe be enjoying a sad excuse for a souffle.) Oh Gordon Ramsay where are you.

It was a lovely Valentine's Day dinner, but we were shocked to find no regular menu, only a $140 per person price fix menu. We probably should have left and gone somewhere else, because after a glass of wine, and taxes and tip, it was the most expensive meal (probably times two) that my husband and I had ever had together. Delicious, but no dinner is worth $400. Sorry! Wish we had known what we were getting ourselves into when we made the reservation.

We were only in Tucson for the night and wanted to go somewhere different than what we can easily find at home. We ended up with reservations for 8:15 and we were sat in the side room. The service was great (and super friendly!) and we enjoyed an appetizer of baked brie and the French Onion soup. For our mains we ordered the salmon and the pepper filet. The salmon had an orange sauce that was like nothing I've had before. For dessert we split the creme brulee, opera cake, and the pithivier. We figured since we live 2500 miles away we might as well go for broke with dessert and they were all amazing. The pithivier was the favorite but honestly it was a pretty darn close between the three. Thanks for a great evening and making our one splurge meal on vacation a real treat!

You could tell that this place was great at one point. It needs a rebranding. My Wellington was great. Puff pastry was a bit soggy, but it was good. My husband’s duck was well over. The veggies were good. Tables were wobbly. Bread did not taste homemade so I’m sorry if it was. It has an outdated vibe but this places savings grace is it’s staff. The staff were absolutely delightful and attentive. The prices say “fine dining” but it’s execution was that of a good home cook.

The food is great, the venue isn’t. The restaurant is divided into two spaces, the haves and the have nots. The haves are in an area with comfortable ambience and white tablecloths. The have nots are in a stark room with zero ambience that gets extremely loud when you are near a table of 4 who have had too much wine, as we were. It was our first time there and now I understand the comment about reserving specific tables on their website. The room we were in is appropriate for a much less expensive restaurant. Le Rendezvous has been our favourite restaurant for the past twenty years since we moved back to the US. The Founder/Owner was a remarkable chef who created a unique French style restaurant with a menu and wine selection worthy of any I've enjoyed in France over the past years. His son followed in his footsteps, training as a chef in fine restaurants in Europe and the US and took over the restaurant as his father was retiring. Since then, he has expanded what his father originated and followed the same quality standards. If you enjoy French style cooking, you won't be disappointed!

This was a special meal for my husbands birthday. We rarely eat out these days so it was a special treat to do so. And it was disappointing. The bartender added a lemon twist to my kir royal rendering it unable to drink. Rather than send it back my husband agreed to drink it and ordered me the normal drink. The French onion soup was too salty for my husband bit again he drank it without saying anything. My canars montmerci was cooked to a crisp and barely able to cut through it for a slice. My husband's medium rare steak was medium well on one side and medium rare on the other. The vegetables and potatoes were overcooked and skimpy. The bread was stale and not freshly made. Service was slow as an influx of visitors came later and likely they were short staffed. The dessert was delicious as was the coffee. Last year we ate at the same place with much better food. The duck then was juicy and tender. The vegetables crisp and the potatoes not fried. The bread was soft and fresh. The kir was right the first time. I'm not sure we will visit again after this disappointing experience.

As usual we had a great time dining last night. We had the pate and smoked salmon appetizers followed by the onion soup. All were excellent and served beautifully. Our dinner entre were the fresh halibut and the coq au riesling, both of which were also served beautifully but were so over salted as the almost make them inedible. We mentioned this to our server as did the people sitting next to us who ordered the same thing and the chef seemed to adjust based on the feedback because ithers near us did not have this problem and were served later. Everything else was wonderful, and our served comped us one entre because of the salt problem. Regardless of the salt issue, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

We come here once a year and it never disappoints. Small, but excellent, wine selection and menu. Everything is cooked to perfection and the proportions will not leave you wanting for more. With a little room remaining we are able to share a dessert at the end. From the escargot as an appetizer to the Grand Marnier soufflé to finish off the meal, you will be wowed. It’s our favorite restaurant in Tucson. The staff is terrific, kind, and professional. Dining here is truly an experience.

Excellent food, friendly attentive staff. Have been going since they were previously located on Speedway. I travel frequently and visit restaurants worldwide. This is an excellent restaurant, a jewel in Tucson. Gran Marnier soufflé is always excellent. I have not tried the chocolate soufflé.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The service was attentive and our son’s birthday celebration was a success. We sat in the front dining area and tried 6 of the small plates which was a nice way to sample the menu since this was our first visit. Our group enjoyed the Brie en croute, escargot, mussels and beet stack the most. The scallop was good; but needed acid to brighten it up. Mini Wellington was enjoyed by my youngest. For the main meal, the mahi special was excellent and chateaubriand was tender although the bernaise was slightly thicker than I prefer. My oldest son’s beef Wellington was nicely seasoned. The sides are traditional and tasted fine; but felt a bit like an afterthought. We ended the meal with coffee and crème brûlée which was smooth and delicate. The caramelized sugar was slightly heavy handed for me (but that’s personal preference). The service really shined - which IMO is hard to find in Tucson. Our drinks were always full, there was no shortage of bread, and the entire staff was patient, friendly and accommodating. We will most certainly return.

The special thing here is the professionalism of the staff, the food is delicious and the decor is beautiful and luxurious. The owner is French but can speak Vietnamese and is very cute. The food comes out quite quickly. I like the grilled ice cream. The cream brulle here is super delicious

The food was fantastic but the room (January) was cold and they said the temperature was 70 degrees but I had to put my jacket on. Our party of 4 had a combination of starters, mains, and small plates (tastings). The small plate of brie was so good that I had to order another to share. The scallops were tasty and those who shared the mussels said they were some of the best they have ever had. The mini boeuf wellington was quite good and glad that I got 2 to have as an entree. It was our anniversary and they gave us creme brulee but thought it was odd since we also ordered creme brulee and souflee to share so the 3rd dessert was a bit of a waste. It would have been better if they just comped it instead. Will definitely go back (but wear warmer clothes in the winter).

Escargot "swimming" in too much of it's delicious garlic sauce. Duck was overcooked, skin not crisp.

Fabulous food!!! Charming, intimate restaurant with outstanding chef providing exquisite food choices. Love the escargot and mussels appetizers, wonderful shrimp dish and black pepper steak and of course an excellent soufflé for dessert! Absolutely marvelous evening! This has become our favorite restaurant in Tucson.

My boyfriend and I have 3 absolute favorite restaurants in Tucson and this is one of them. Always a heavy hitter on every aspect, service is top notch yet also down to earth, atmosphere is sophisticated and romantic…not once have we been dissatisfied with a meal here <3

It was freezing in the restaurant. Thermostat said 68 when we arrived. Had to ask twice for heat. Raised to 73. But by coffee, it said 52. Other than that, all okay.

Although it is a nice meal but I think it is overrated. The food presentation was lackluster and the soufflé was a disappointment. I just hope that it was just a one-off that night.

We made a reservation for the corner table by the window on the northeast of the restaurant. On arrival we were ushered to a narrow table slightly opposite the reserved table with kitchen views. After awhile, we asked why another couple were seated at our reserved table. They eat here often (and didn’t make a reservation) on Bastille Day as you did. A 5 course fixed menu was offered. They were out of a mushroom appetizer. We ordered. First course of a petite beef tartare was good. Second course was okay. Sweetbreads were chosen as a substitute to mushroom in puffed pastry. My partner chose oysters. Both were good, not exceptional. No cleansing pallet sorbet was offered. Next main course selections were pistachio encrusted lamb chops or herb encrusted chicken breast. Both were good not exceptional. Lamb chops were a bit too rare. Chosen desserts were meringue with fruit spread and chocolate. Meringue was a bit excessive. Tasty but not extraordinary. We selected a bottle 2018 Chianti Classico Reserva ($60) which complemented our meal. We poured the wine ourselves as waitstaff was unavailable. With dessert, we chose espresso and cappuccino respectively. This special occasion meal was good but we would hesitate to return, even after 20+ years patronage, because of ethics and customer relations issues.
