The restaurant is charming and relaxing and the service is excellent.

I took my husband for his 65th birthday along with a long awaited reunion with my sister and brother-in-law. Needless to say it was a special occasion and L'Escale did not disappoint! The staff and our waiter went out of their way to make it a special dinner. The food was extraordinary, I had the bouillabaisse and my husband had the chicken Paillard. We can't wait to return.

Our waiter Augustine was not even remotely pleasant no matter how much we tried to engage and be extra nice. He broke the experience for us.

Lunch was delicious and service was excellent.I had delicious Gazpacho and a Caesar salad with scallops. The salad was very good but I didn’t love the scallops at all. Next time I will ask for a different protein on the salad.

I’ve eating by the water, Greenwich has very few water proximity restaurants. The food is hit or miss, usually good enough but never great. Were there for the water view. Ambiance and surrounds seriously dated. Great for older crowd, definitely not a cool setting.

A meal at L’Escale is always a pleasure in every way from the warm greeting to the atmosphere, whether inside or outside, to the excellent cuisine. It’s also fun because we always see friends there, making it even more enjoyable and congenial. The kitchen is consistent in its presentation and preparation of the delicious dishes. The service is professional and well-trained. We always enjoy a meal at L’Escale!

Had a lovely dinner tonight. Service was spot on and seamless. Food came in a timely manner. Our party ordered the special red snapper, the pork chop, hanger steak and ravioli everything was good. Salad was very fresh. Desserts were amazing. Chocolate soufflé and lemon pana cotta remarkable. Looking forward to going again when it’s not so hot outside and we can enjoy the waterside outdoor seating.

We have been many times over a number of years. Every other time we really enjoyed our experience. This time the menu seemed very limited, and the service was good to begin with, but was non-existent at the end. In the beginning it seemed like they wanted to rush us out there and then there was no service. Very odd.

L'Escale remains one of our family favorite destinations for a reason. Their outdoor covered porch is charming, with great water views. The food and service are always impeccable and inventive. Our waiter proved to be of great service in making perfect recommendations, all of which lived up to his descriptions. For any and every special occasion, including just being with those you love, choose L'Escale- you will be glad that you did.

Food is always excellent and reliable. Lobster mosaic & tuna tartare were highlights for us. Excellent steak and tasty seafood dishes. Great wine list. Friendly and very good service by everyone on the team. Nice views from the outdoor terrace and bar. Very lively and fun indoor bar with live music. Love this place!

A pet friendly hotel with an outdoor patio restaurant, however, the snotty hostess made sure my service dog was going to remain under the table. Hostess not very friendly or professional. Everyone else was personable and food was very good.

Lovely setting and wonderful menu with attentive staff and valet service. Their burger with pome frites was wonderful and very filling. Their omelet was delicious but a bit skimpy with a few roasted potatoes. Lots of attentive wait staff and a most pleasant waitress with a delightful french accent. Definitely a lovely setting, though today was too hot to sit outside. Well worth a try!

Beautiful decorated inside. Had pea 🫛 chilled soup and scallops on a salad. Soup was excellent; scallops were good but they could have been washed a little better. My gf had Branzino which she said was good. There is no charge for valet parking. Make a reservation! Overall a nice lunch with a special friend.

Absolutely among the best food I ate in New York and Grenwich.

The food was excellent. It just gets better and better. We had Kazu marinated black cod and Norwegian salmon "a la plancha". And Tres Leches for dessert. Service was also wonderful.

Only real negative was a horrible fish smell from a nearby table. Anything that smells like that should not be on a menu to protect other customers from being forced to smell it.

Beautiful outdoor dining, very busy on a Wed night in June. Excellent drinks, excellent service, but we expected knockout food for the prices, and while very good, the preparations and originality left much to be desired.

My husband and I recently had lunch at L'Escale with two other couples. We were caught in a terrible traffic jam on the way and, after notifying the restaurant by phone, arrived 45 minutes late. In spite of this, the staff were exceedingly welcoming and accommodating. We sat outside on the patio. Everyone's food was fantastic--the smoked salmon appetizer and Salade Nicoise with seared fresh tuna were perfectly prepared. Several people enjoyed the prix fixe lunch. Our waiter, Lenny, was one of the best waiters we have had, anywhere. The prices are on the high side but the experience was so memberable that we would not hesitate to return in the future.

While I am fond of this place and the food has improved I feel like there’s something missing. The bar and wait staff is friendly and inviting but the front desk not so much there answer always seems to be no.

Have been staying at the Delamar for the past 5 yrs to attend Concours D’Elegance and eating at L’Escale every year. Prices have gone way up and food quality has gone way down since the hotel took over the restaurant last year. Staff is the same and very good at their jobs but the smoked salmon was oily, the English breakfast was a mess, overall very poor value for your money.

Unfortunately it may have been the time for brunch but The process of ordering and getting the food was long and unorganized. (We had at least 4 or 5 people.). The food itself was good. The water person was fabulous.

This is our go to for special occasions (though we use the term quite loosely). This time happens to be our 2nd wedding anniversary. Had a drink outside - both of which were very good and enjoyed the cool casual vibe. We sat inside for dinner - though were offered outside as an option - because it feels fancier. The staff was attentive, the menu elegant but not too exotic and the food was excellent.

I was very impressed when the waiter brought me a half glass of Prosecco because he knew the bartender was backed up and it would be a long time before my Mojito arrived. Overall, it was a very nice dinner and exactly what we have come to expect from L’escale which has never disappointed us.

The complimentary bread and butter was great. I particularly love the dessert I ordered for myself (Tarte Tatin) & the coffee but not the ice cream we ordered for my kid because it came with fruits that didn't really went well with the flavor of the chocolate. The mac & cheese for my son was so so while the Branzino ala Plancha was yummy. My husband enjoyed his meals as well but he preferred the pasta with lobster to have a portion of lobster, so he could taste it more instead of small portions. On the other hand, I wished they have more options to choose from. I ordered the menu on the Prix Fixe catergory but I was a bit dismayed that there's very limited options. We have tried a lot of French restaurants in Singapore and in Manhattan but unfortunately, L escale is not one of the best in terms of flavor/menu but the service is superb and their Manager was super nice!

We went here after my fiancé had just proposed to me!! He made us a surprise reservation here and boy were we impressed! We felt like they knew us, they were so warm and cordial. We got a lovely booth seat. We ordered the Lobster and squid ink pasta and the rack of lamb. SUCCULENT. FLAVORFUL. AMAZING.

L'Escale is elegant and an absolutely lovely place to have a weekend lunch! The weather was perfect for al fresco dining, and we had such a wonderful time enjoying the food and the water views. The Prix Fixe lunch is a great value for this type of high-end fare! Go and treat yourself!!

Tonight’s Maitre’d, Michael, was exceptional - he made my mom and I feel like family. It’s rare to come across people who go out of their way to be so kind and welcoming! Our waiter Jairo was a delight. Thank you for an A+ experience.

Went for lunch on the patio Was seated in reasonable amount of time as were arrived earlier before our reservation. Service was excellent. Food preparation and portions were adequately appropriate. Yes it is a bit pricey but you know that going in so don't be shocked. No beer on tap and bottled selection is not so noteworthy. Wine selection, on the other hand, is quote extensive and looks to be the beverage of choice. Overall a "fine dining " lunch experience.

Been here many times, always a nice experience. Friendly staff, lively ambience, though I don’t think the food is all that amazing in comparison (and for this price point). Still, haven’t had a bad dish. No complaints. Recommendation: the Notorious cocktail - sweet and spicy.

The menu, vibe and people watching never disappoints. Wait service was very good and accommodating, live music also great. The reception from one of the hostesses in particular is consistently rude and obnoxious - not something I would normally mention in a review but it's so over the top. That said, once you bypass her its all gravy....or shall I say jus. Bon appetit!

The food was fantastic and atmosphere relaxed and upscale. Our only small gripe is we were pushed into a bottle of wine before we were able to meet with the sommelier. I wish the ordering process wasn't so "sales based". Could have just been a busy night. We would go back for the food and ambiance. Thanks for a nice experience.

Amazing service and food. Too bad they have air fresheners pumped into their ventilation system that makes you feel like you are sitting next to the bathroom on an airplane. Anyone that cooks knows you don’t mix these kind of smells with food, especially high end cuisine. Air fresheners are carcinogens. I won’t come back. ( the food and service was top notch - but the air fresheners are an epic fail).

One star for Manager Adam Five stars for Assistant Manager James I had made a reservation for my wife's birthday celebration at Lescale for 1:30 pm. Excited to start the celebration early, I called ahead and was graciously accommodated to arrive an hour earlier. However, what should have been a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare due to the unprofessional behavior of Manager Adam. Upon arrival, we politely inquired about the possibility of a window seat, only to be met with disdain from Adam. Instead of handling the situation with tact and professionalism, he chose to publicly berate us in front of the entire restaurant, including our 1-year-old daughter. It was disheartening and completely uncalled for, especially on my wife's first birthday as a mother. Despite my wife's attempt to address the issue with Adam, he arrogantly dismissed her concerns, showing a complete lack of accountability and empathy. His half-hearted apology did nothing to rectify the emotional distress he caused. In stark contrast, Assistant Manager James reached out to us later with a heartfelt apology, acknowledging the unacceptable behavior displayed by Adam. His genuine concern and offer to ensure a better experience in the future were appreciated and stood in stark contrast to Adam's demeanor. Adam's reprehensible conduct is a stain on Lescale's reputation. His lack of professionalism and empathy are concerning, and it is appalling that someone with such poor people skills is in a managerial position in the service industry. He should take a page from James's book on how to treat customers with respect and dignity. I urge Lescale management to take swift action in addressing this matter. No customer should be subjected to such treatment, especially on a special occasion. Perhaps a conversation with the Better Business Bureau will underscore the importance of upholding professional standards in customer service.

Love L'Escale for lunch. Food (the ravioli was delicious). Service was excellent and they also let you have a relaxing time with friends. We have never been rushed. New bar area is pretty and relaxing.. can't wait for the outside to open and sit by the water. Love this restaurant and their staff. If you have special requests they are always happy to listen and try to accommodate.
