Delicious. Everything was delicious. Get the fried Zucchini, perfectly prepared - light, crispy and not greasy. Also the Salmon entree was the best combination of flavors. The pasta was rich and like a warm hug. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return soon.

Zero complaints! The food (schnitzel) was amazing so was the service and the drinks...oh! And dessert... Very nice atmosphere. Loved it!

We love the place, but three times the person at the entrance (William) has been rude and in such a bad mood. Today, webfelt so ashamed in front of a congresswoman and journalist from another country who came with me because of the way he answered her and later tried to explain that he is not a servant only because she asked for his service. The other staff are very nice. We use to come every Sunday until today.

Limited menu. Done well. We enjoyed sharing the fried green tomatoes with shrimp. My pork and shrimp with grits was very good. My wife's filet had gristle so that was weird. A little noisy for a nice restaurant but ok.

This is a gem. Everything is excellent. The building is a beautiful old bank. Parking in the rear is wheelchair accessible.

An amazing restaurant owned by 2 sisters in the heart of Historic Leesburg, VA. I used to get the mushroom strudel and now I always get their crab dip, china town chicken salad, tomato soup and the fried green tomatoes topped with shrimp. Their desserts come with cotton candy and are AMAZING. I love the architecture of the building as it used to be a bank. The mens bathroom even has a vault inside. This is a beautiful restaurant and is a real treasure in Western Loudoun! Also they have a side cafe for people that want to pop in fast and pick up their food! Either way this place is fantastic.

Restaurants like Lightfoot are usually reserved for special occasions, and this is no different. This occasion was a birthday gathering with 3 people so nothing big. The atmosphere of the place is above reproach, and the service is always pleasant and with a smile. Unfortunately, sometimes restaurants tend to get a bit too "froo-froo"... If you know what I mean. We got an appetizer. Fried green tomatoes with shrimp. We got 3 slices of breaded and fried green tomatoes and 3 shrimp. It was OK in flavor but everything is always spices with hot pepper sauces... And it was rather expensive (5 bucks for one tomato slice and a shrimp). I got the southern fried Chicken, a special for that day. Not impressed. The batter was the consistency of a cracker and it fell off the chicken the moment you bit into it. And the chicken was under done and lacking in flavor. Needless to say, a bit disappointed with my meal choice. The other two meals were fine and they were enjoyed. Even though, mine wasn't up to snuff, I'll still eat here for other special occasions, just because it's a nice place to go.

Great food, service and atmosphere but too pricey!

My husband and I love this place. We are regulars but this weekend we didn’t have a good experience here. The chairs were dirty (food and grease) The waitress was not really paying attention to my little requests and we were 3 adults and 3 kids and they add 20%tip automatically. Normally since they are kids we can customize the tip.

I had not been there in a long while. I am glad I returned. Our server was fabulous. The food excellent. In particular, the feta dip was unique and tasty. Good wine list. Also, they had two of my favorite and difficult to get Bourbons. I will be returning.

Lightfoot never disappoints. Every meal we have ever had here has always been fantastic. The servers are also great. The portions are plentiful and a great value for the quality and amount of food you are getting.

Gathering for Sunday brunch. Service was amazing but eggs Benedict had no flavor & several of us ordered them & all agreed.

We had a 630pm reservation April 6th, reservation made March 26th In the comment section I stated it was a 95th birthday celebration. A special table please not back by the bar. We arrived and we were to sit back in the dark bar area!!!! I suggested they read the comment section.Why would a 95th BD celebration want to be back in the dark bar area!!!! We waited 1/2 hr for a table. All we got was a thank you for your patience. Nothing else.We had lived in Ashburn for 17 plus years Lightfoot and Tuscarora were our main "special evening" go to and Lightfoot left us down. Jose and our delicious meal saved the evening and celebration

Highly recommend this place. Happen to eat here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised on my experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated. The atmosphere is inline with the historical buildings in Leesburg. Everything was clean, including immaculately cleaned restrooms as well. Our server Eli was exceptional and provided top notch service. Our food came out hot and passed the eye test and taste was delicious. Crab bisque was loaded with crab meat and flavorful. Scallops with sweet potatoe pancakes were chef's kiss. My entree was lobster and shrimp pasta on angel hair noodles. Everything was very good and I will return. Last thing, I have to mention the music playing while dining was excellent.

We stopped this afternoon during a visit to Leesburg! Lighthouse is a great find. The ambiance is fantastic! An old bank building thoughtfully and creatively brought into this century. So cozy and fun! A glass of wine and the best tomato soup I've ever tasted. The bar staff was great too - attentive, engaging, but also gave us our own space to sit back and just enjoy. We'll definitely be back to try their dinner menu.

So surprised by the subpar meal this evening. What happened??!! This has always been our favorite place for special dinners. Made a reservation for our anniversary. Ordered the fillet mignon dinner which has always been delicious. The beef was obviously a bad cut with alot of grizzle, seriously over cooked, dried out and tough to chew. I left most of my meal on the plate. When i brought it to the waiters attention, i received no response from management. Really, it was the lack of response that was most dissapointing.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. Very nice atmosphere. We’ll be back.

We had a party of six and a reservation. We were seated right away and served with professional etiquette. Absolutely no complaints about the food. Appetizers gone. Entrees delicious. We only ordered two desserts and they were perfect. We will return.

I had an amazing dining experience at Light Foot Restaurant in Leesburg! From the impeccable service to the delicious food and inviting ambiance, every moment spent there was truly enjoyable. Highly recommend for a memorable dinner with friends or colleagues!

The architecture was probably the best in Leesburg, but didn't seem well-managed. A lot of little things happened that by themselves aren't a big deal but together painted a picture: -Two waiters confidently thought they had our table and separately came to take our order. -The waiter hadn't memorized the specials. -The waiter didn't know what the classic cocktail Negroni was, so I had to repeated it several times for him. -We ordered an appetizer but never received it. -The filet arrived raw, though we ordered it medium rare. -Chairs around us has worn veneer and scratches, velcro visible around the booth seating. -The bathrooms had stripping paint and rusty spots.

Save yourself time and money by not going here! Absolutely worst brunch I have ever had. Eggs Benedict with eggs so over cooked they were hard boiled. Steak on the Eggs Benedict was grissly and fatty. Fried oysters were soggy and disgusting. Service sucked. We waited 30 minutes for a drink. So cold where we sat it was uncomfortable. Highly reccomed NOT going here and wasting you time and money.

My wife and I had a splendid anniversary there. Top notch everything!

This started as a bizarre experience. We had reservations. As soon as we entered the door and walked to the host stand, we were ignored by the man standing there. He eventually said he’ll be right with us, without ever looking up from what he was working on. Instead of asking how he could help us when he was done whatever he was doing, he just stared at us. Keeping with the uncomfortable feeling and wanting to be treated as a human, I just stared back. After several moments of awkward silence, he finally opened his mouth and asked what he could do for us. We were seated in the corner of the restaurant next to a freezing cold window. I made reservations here because I have heard of how lovely it’s decorated for Christmas. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any of that where we were seated. On the flip side, our food was great. The portions were healthy and everything tasted great. Our server was attentive as she could be with the number of tables she had. Overall, we won’t be back. We didn’t feel welcomed or wanted and will take our business elsewhere.

Steak and cake (surf and turf) was lovely. One of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Stake was thick and juicy and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a really nice dinner.

We had a party of 6 for a lovely work Christmas party dinner. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. Tony was our server and was phenomenal. We had wonderful food and service. And will definitely be back!

My husband and I had lunch today at Lightfoot for the first time. It was recommend by a couple we had just met on vacation. Let me tell you the food was fabulous, the atmosphere was beautiful for Christmas and our server Brice was THE BEST!! He was a true professional! He attended to all of needs and more. We haven't had a server that good in a very long time- it seems to be a lost art these days! He did the restaurant proud!!!! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

we were treated so poorly, food extremely undercooked My mother in law ended up getting sick there after eating the food and the management was extremely rude! Instead offering to any support the question was “who’s going to clean this mess?” Honest…this place sucks! Thanks for the “amazing” experience!

I went on a Saturday night, and while the atmosphere was lovely, the rest of the experience left much to be desired. The service was very slow with even drink orders taking 20-30 minutes to come out. The food is insanely overpriced for its quality. My party described it as "okay at best". In my party of four, two of our dishes came out cold and the other two did not resemble the menu description at all. Overall, a waste of $300 and a night out. Would not recommend.

We had the most fantastic experience at Lightfoot! We attended for my birthday dinner and were able to get a reservation within a few hours of calling. We ordered the lobster bisque (on special), the crab cake/filet special, and the 14oz filet special. The food did not disappoint, but the real star was Brice, our server. He was fantastic and so personable. He knew his sh*t and shared knowledge and advice about all the dishes offered. When I was feeling full and overwhelmed by the end of the meal, the restaurant even provided a digestif (drink) free of charge to help settle my stomach, as well as a champagne birthday toast. I cannot wait to return again, and I hope it is soon!! Thank you again Brice for being so amazing.

Lindo restaurante en el pequeño pueblo de Leesburg en Virginia. Bello local que en otra época albergó un banco. Acabados en madera que le dan gran prestancianal local. En el centro posee una gran barra con la puerta de la bóbeda del banco como decoración principal, algo que nos encantó Alrededor están acomodadas las mesas manteniendo una muy buena distancia, para sentir privacidad durante la comida. Bien servidas con mantel. Atención muy agradable y rápida. El menú me pareció un poco reducido de opciones de plato principal. Pedimos una de las recomendaciones para entrada y no nos defraudó, los nachos de cangrejo, sin duda recomendados. Cómo plato principal nos decidimos por las ensaladas y estaban deliciosas. Una de las mejores opciones de la zona. Así que si estás por la zona, este es el sitio. Recomiendo reservar

This was my 3rd time here and I would like to provide some constructive criticism. The menu should always be delivered as promised, the service must meet the atmosphere. There is simply no reason for errors. Overall attention to detail is a must to keep this gorgeous place running. Looking forward to coming back with a better experience.

We came here to celebrate a special occasion. We had heard great things about the restaurant so thought this would be a great reason to check it out. When we arrived for our reservation we entered and was just intrigued by the atmosphere and decor. It's apparently an old bank where remnants of the old decor are still visible from the vault door, wood ceiling tiles, and the chandeliers. There was even a table that caught our eye and we asked if it was possible to be seated there. We were told it wasn't available due to a valid reason. But as we were waiting for our table they actually informed us that they were going to make it happen and get us that table!!! For them to go above and beyond was quite touching as it made our celebration more special ... an extra thank you to the staff for going out of the way! Food was impeccable! Appetizers: We started with the honey ham biscuits (total of 4). The biscuits were so fluffy. I thought at first the thickness of the biscuit would overpower the ham, but it was actually a perfect balance of flavors, with the honey being a nice addition to the overall bite. These were so good, we ordered a second order! Deviled Eggs (total of 4) were good. My first bite was a tad salty but then the pickle it sits atop kicked in and a sweetness took away some of the saltiness. Crab Bisque - if you like she crab soup, you will enjoy the flavors here. Plus there are a good bit of crab chunks within the soup (which is pretty rare now, especially with increasing costs). Lobster Bisque (this was a special for the day) - I didn't really try this one but the person who did Loved it and said there were chunks of lobster in the soup. Entrees: I asked for suggestions from Remi our server, and he stated one of his favorites is the Shrimp & Lobster Pasta Entree. I opted for this one and was not disappointed. It's served with a cream sauce but it wasn't heavy at all, over a bed of angel hair. My first bite provided a burst of flavor that makes my mouth water just thinking of it - one with a light smoky flavor, blended with perfectly cooked shrimp, and the sauce providing a perfect compliment. Cheeseburger - we were told the ground beef was from the parts of the tenderloin steak they don't use. That was enough to sell us on it. Person loved it! Tenderloin and Crabcake Special - Tenderloin was tender and cooked perfectly to the medium rare request. Crabcake was full of lump crab. Served with housemade mashed potatoes and asparagus. Another great option. Dessert: Pumpkin Brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie is a generous serving and provides plenty to share. Bathroom: Bathroom is still the old-school metal stalls. There are a total of three stalls, one being the wheelchair accessible. I don't recall a changing station but perhaps it's in the larger stall. It was also a nice addition that they offer different lotions - especially nice during the cold winter days. Highly suggest when you're looking for a nice place to celebrate a special occasion!

One of our favorite restaurants. It is our go to when we have something to celebrate and want to enjoy something special. Wonderful steak, crab cakes and fish. We have never had a meal we didn’t enjoy. I love to cook so I am picky. What people don’t realize is you can also go for a lighter fare. Their grilled cheese and tomato soup is awesome, their hamburgers delicious and they have great salads.

The Lightfoot restaurant is a nice spot and absolute delight! The menu offers a tempting array of classic dishes, and the food is both delicious and satisfying. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it the perfect spot for a weekend brunch. I highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic experience. I recommend the Rib eye dip.

I ordered my filet medium rare. Instead it was seared outside an red inside. Incredibly chewy I could not eat it. This was the second dish that tasted subpar. The frost were crab nachos where the crab was actually a crab salad which was disgusting. Rather than take off the filet, the manager refused to do so. I was already late in a work night. They expected us to wait to redo the filet. We were tired and didnt have time. I will never return to this place. Save your money. The only good thing were the drinks and the waiters service.

Everything is 5-star at this restaurant. For us, it was an excellent dining experience while celebrating our son's promotion to partnership at the wealth management firm where he works. We could not have been more pleased with the service we received.

Date night tonight, and our first time at this restaurant. Excellent everything. Hosts at the door were great, food was great, vibe was great. Atmosphere stellar - tons of character in the decor. Our waiter was competent and kind but stretched just a bit too thin - but nothing major, would give him 4.5 or 4.9 stars if I could, but can't do 5 as it wasn't perfect. This place is going in the rotation for sure. We even found parking right in front on Saturday night, which was shocking. What a great night out! Try it out!

Ok, so hear is the deal. This place is cool and the atmosphere and decor are very nice. The wait staff are very professional and pay very close attention to their patrons, which, for me, is a big deal. Now, the food part, I had the short ribs with Brussels and mash. My wife and mother had the scallops with rizzoto and Ratatouille. Scallops done well, rizzoto epic fail! Ratatouille was not good either. The plate was a bit confusing, honestly. I'm a bit of a food snob and a restaurant critic. You don't have to read this review, but when your bill is 140 for two people, the food better be great, not ok. The two beers I had were only 14$, by the way. Just wished the food equaled the great service.

I attended a luncheon in the upstairs event space - so beautiful! All of the food was gorgeous and delicious! I can’t stop thinking about the lobster bisque- so creamy and rich with chunks of lobster. The salmon was also wonderful and the dense chocolate cake for dessert was outstanding!

My husband and I went in for lunch. We were seated and then after over 20 minutes of no service to us we walked out. Servers walked by us but no one came to our table. We will not be back. Horrible service. To top it off it wasn’t busy and we saw 4 servers around us

Have been wanting to go here for a long time. Finally decided to stop by one evening while walking by to have a drink and a light meal. Everything was great from the overall atmosphere, interesting decor, service and of course the food. Highly recommend the ham biscuit appetizer, but everything was great. One other thing; it is a huge end restaurant but the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be going back.

Beautiful building, top notch service and superb offerings

It has been a while since we visited Lightfoot. Walking in I was reminded how very beautiful the space is with its vaulted ceilings, huge fire place and ornate columns. At one time it was a bank. A very fancy one! We had brunch on Sunday. It was delicious and our server, Allie, was great. I had French toast with fried chicken, fresh strawberries and fresh whipped cream. Also on the menu was a beef tenderloin eggs Benedict and a perfectly curried lentil soup. All was delicious. We finished our meal with a huge bowl of orange cream soda flavored cotton candy. Amazing!

I have been to Lightfoot several times over the past 6 years and the food, atmosphere and wait staff are all great. The guys working the host stand are not very friendly though - something I have noticed on more than one occasion so I may not return.

2nd time here in as many years (it's 35 minutes north of us). Again, excellent value. Wife had the beef fillet and crab cake entree, and pear salad for an appetizer, I had fried oyster po' boy salad. Pours and costs on the drinks were good. Couldn't finish main courses so they boxed them up for us. Everything was cooked correctly, fresh and high quality. Service was timely. If we lived closer, we'd be "on the meal plan."

We held our daughter's wedding luncheon in the Marshall room upstairs. Everything was perfect. We scaled down the menu to 8 entrees and at least one person ordered each of the entrees. We also ordered several appetizers. Everyone cleaned their plate which is a good testimonial to quality and taste of the food. We decorated the room and tables ourselves. Carrie (co-owner) was very helpful in helping us pick menu items and allowing us in the room early to decorate. We were very glade we picked a private room vs. just reserving 14 places in the main dinning room. The small room fee was well worth the money to have a private get together. Remmy (our server) did a great job of keeping on top of drink orders and getting all the entrees delivered to the right people. Our daughter and new son-in-law were very happy will all the food and arrangements.

Before the pandemic, my husband and I were loyal patrons of Lightfoot for over a decade. Their food is generally fantastic, but the meal we picked up recently via curb service was late and not very appetizing. The salmon on my $20 salmon salad was dry and very crusty, there was very little dressing on it, and the lettuce was mostly Romaine. My husband’s $27 salmon dish was spicy Mexican cuisine that arrived cold, not very large and blah humbug. Sorry guys, I know you can do better! The decor, ambiance, and staff are top drawer. Back in the day, staff were overwhelmed on Sundays, due to an extremely busy Sunday brunch time. When my husband and I chose to brunch in the bar area, I didn’t always receive the meal requested as to my gluten-bacon-free specifications. However, they always sent it back to be corrected. All told... Lightfoot remained our go-to restaurant in Leesburg. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were in town for the weekend, and locals suggested Lightfoot. Gorgeous building with incredible architecture, as it used to be the Peoples National Bank (circa 1800). Excellent service and atmosphere, amazing food and drinks. We both had an Old Fashioned and shared the deviled eggs - so delicious! My husband had a steak which he said was cooked perfectly and was good but not the best he'd had. I had the Chinatown salad which was delicious. White tablecloths, wait staff was formally dressed and very attentive. Noise level was good - easy to have a conversation. Would definitely go back!

It’s difficult to find a five-star restaurant, but this one deserves exactly that. Food was excellent! All four of us tried a different dish and all four agreed our meal was the best for that menu item we have ever eaten. Restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. The only negative was parking. There is a paid lot half a block away. Highly recommend, and will certainly visit again!

Our appetizer was visually beautiful and we found it to be a pleasant taste, but I think it may have given us too high of expectations. Service was below average (not once did anyone ask if we would like another drink, just the first among other things), and the quality of our main courses were below average. Overall, one star for the appetizer and one star for the uniqueness of the building.

I was expecting a lot more from this restaurant. The food was ok, the honey ham biscuit appetizer being fantastic, the main courses were kind of bland for the cost. Fried chicken was well cooked but flavorless and the shrimp in the rigatoni dish were way over cooked. The real nail-in-the-coffin here was the service. Unbelievably slow ... slow to bring our drinks, slow to take our order, slow to bring our food and slow to refill drinks if needed. Plus there was a 5 dollar fee to split the bill (we decided against that) but that is kind of ridiculous considering how easy it is to have modern POS systems handle this.

Great food, great martinis, amazing decor. This is my wife and I's favorite spot for a cocktail or dinner at the end of the week!
