Food, drinks, and service were incredible

Truly make you feel like family. I've been let down by a lot of places for either service or food quality, but Liquid Assets doesn't disappoint in any way. Had a custom picked charcuterie and pate, the servings were very generous, most places it'd be a double portion.

Food is really beyond our expectations! We did not expect the French onion pot pie to be THAT GOOD! We also ordered a fried cremini mushroom side dish, it is definitely a hidden gem!! Be prepared to wait in line for some while though. But definitely worth waiting!

No waiting, we were sat at the chefs island/table. Wine selection is excellent. Highly recommend to those who enjoy wine paired with cheese and meat boards. I got the 16oz steak off the menu and my partner got the special steak, aged for roughly 8 weeks. My steak, while trimmed well, was tougher at medium well than I expected. Otherwise, our food was very good. My partner felt his steak was perfect. Our server was on par. Save room for desert. The icecream donuts come with a special caramel sauce you won't be disappointed in. Expect to spend about 50$ + a person

Hidden gem for great eats! Small plates with big appeal and flavor. A few gluten free options on the menu as well, which is helpful since we have an allergy. This place is a staple for us when we visit OCMD

Went for a drink and dessert but tried the beef pot pie my sister in law got and it was AMAZING. Will definitely go back for that sometime. My husband got the softshell crab BLT and loved it. we got the donut ice cream sandwich and if you don't go for any other reason go for that.

Love this place everytime I'm in OC but, food has slipped from eariler days. Wagyu was not even noteworthy for the price. Heirloom tomatoes and burrata was a big disappointment, hard tomatoes, seemed store bought, tasteless.

Slightly odd eating dinner in a liquor store. But the food is fine and the staff is friendly. Prices are slightly higher than neighboring restaurants.

LA by far our most favorite spot to be! Kevin and Paul are the best…everyone is friendly and so attentive! We will be back in October for another enjoyable meal! And drinks of course!

It might seem strange to post a 3-star review when I gave “food”, “service” and “atmosphere” 5-stars. However, they do not take reservations and the wait is well over an hour. We have gone there many times and just left and went somewhere else due to the wait. We are done trying in the high season.

Excellent as always! Awesome ambiance, food, and drinks. I had the Korean rib appetizer and crabcakes. Highly recommend both. Great restaurant and great service. I've never been disappointed.

Decent food Try the grill cheese

One of the best places to eat in OC. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to show up and wait. The food is worth it though. Added bonus--you can shop for wine while you wait.

You have to love that atmosphere of this place. The bar is very spacious with lots of seating and they have lounge seeding in their dining room as well with cozy sofas and chairs that you can relax with cocktails and a Charcuterie board. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very friendly and courteous and gave great recommendations. We got the Burrata and heirloom tomatoes as an appetizer , they served it with balsamic pearls that were so fun and delicious. For our entries, we got the scallop risotto and the new York strip. The scallops were seared perfectly, and the risotto was so creamy and delicious. The mushrooms and peas set it over the top. The strip was 2 inches think and it was tender juicy and cooked to perfection. Their signature Coffee martinis were the perfect ending to a delicious dinner

Me and my friends had 2 cheese plates with mixed types of cheese. The crackers, the jam, and the apples + grapes were great combination. I bet their appetizers and the entrees were just as good, but we were pretty satisfied with having a good conversation in the company of good wine and the cheese plates mentioned.

Honestly, this is the tastiest place you can eat in ocean city. Every year we go here at least once and I’ve never gotten food I didn’t love. Presentation is immaculate, giving a 5 star dining experience in a casual environment. The Chefs are batting way above average, they really are something special.

My wife and I had been here years ago and really enjoyed it. It was high on our list of restaurants to return to. We were not disappointed. I had the beef pot pie, and she had the cheese/charcuterie plate. We split a bottle of red wine with the meal, and bought another to take home with us (more on that later). The pot pie was not like a pie in the traditional sense. It was more like a bowl of beef stew with puff pastry on top. The beef had a taste somewhat reminiscent of sauerbraten - that sweet and sour flavor. It was not overwhelming, but pleasant, and I enjoyed it. The pie "crust" was crispy and flaky. My wife's charcuterie plate was huge -- big enough for two people to share. We took half of it home with us. My only complaint was with their retail wine prices, which are marked up to match their restaurant prices. They did give a 10% discount on a take-home retail bottle (if you dined in), but it hardly mattered. We still ended up paying $10-15 above the average retail price for that bottle of wine. That's fine if you're dining in, but way too expensive if you just want a bottle to take home. Our waiter was very attentive. For me, I had a better meal here than I did at another "fine dining" establishment in OC. It was delicious comfort food without all of the pretentious nonsense. I would definitely return for another great meal.

The wings were SOLID. I normally hate blue cheese and they only had blue cheese as the dipping option for the wings, but I must admit, it compliments their wings so well. Changed my entire perspective on blue cheese.

I have been visiting Ocean City, Maryland since the late 1960’s. My wife and I were in town this past weekend as guests of friends who took us to Liquid Assets. Sometimes, in OC, you can’t pick out the winners based on the book cover, so to speak. Liquid Assets did NOT disappoint!!! The service was impeccable; with drinks offered as soon as we walked in (even though we were a few minutes early for our reservation). I enjoyed the Angus Short Rib French Onion Pot Pie as an entree and I would ABSOLUTELY rank this meal in the top 5 dinners I’ve eaten worldwide! Not kidding. I’m currently sitting at home, enjoying my boxed-up leftovers (which the very astute server packaged with the pastry top in a separate container) and it is still awesome!!!! Had to pass this on! This is a DO NOT MISS locale while “downy o’shun, hon!” Good job!!!!

Food and drinks are top notch here. Great picks for local beers and the cocktails were tasteful. I feel of the stand outs were the wide selection of cheeses and meats for a charcuterie board. The condiments were excellent especially the fresh made mustard and honey raisins. Lastly, the key lime donuts were some of the best donuts I've ever had; not too sweet just perfect.

Fantastic real restaurant in OC. We come here every year and have never had a bad meal. Highly recommend the Caesar salad, oysters Rockefeller, scallop risotto, steak and monkfish. Save room for dessert too!

Love liquid assets. Has been a favorite for almost two decades. Slightly disappointed with the tuna crisps today for lunch. They were stingy with the crema (not the norm). And there was only one bartender for lunch on Friday of July 4th weekend. She needed some help (at least a bus person).

First time at Liquid Assets, and it was great. Curt, our server was great. He helped pick out some great cheeses and meat for a charcuterie board as well as the donut ice cream sandwich for dessert. If you want a place with great food, try here.

We were looking for a nice dinner and found it. We ordered sangria and the house martini for drinks, tuna crisp as a starter and then the steak and deluxe grilled cheese for dinner. Everything was delicious! The portions were more than generous! Would definitely recommend.

A restaurant set up in a package store! Very cute, the food was excellent, with several creative vegan options.

My wife and I went for dinner. We tried a few of the specials, the Korean ribs and the short rib pot pie. All the meals were delicious. The cocktails were great as well. Our server Gilly was extremely knowledgeable, professional and attentive. I would recommend and we will definitely return.

Steak isn't that good. Try the Monkfish which was slightly over cooked but it was still alright. DONT EVER ORDER THE MUSSELS!!!! I should have had them removed from my bill....absolutely nasty Great Drinks!! Now when I say great drinks I really mean that!! The drinks were so good I could hang there all night

Some of the best food at the beach.

One of my favorite spots in OCMD. Last visit on 6/7/24; we sat at kitchen table and Matt M was our waiter. We ordered way to much food as the portions are generous. Treat yourself to the dessert!!

Visited for dinner over Memorial Day weekend. First time there and will definitely come back when in town. The atmosphere was electric as the bar and restaurant was packed. We started with the Steak Tartare appetizer which was beyond excellent. Between the 4 of us we all tried each others meals. Surf & Turf, Lamb Burger, Flank Steak and Monkfish. All were great. The only downfall was that we had to wait an hour for a table because they don't take reservations. But it was well worth the wait. We wanted to try the donut dessert but we were all so full. Next time.

Get the donut ice cream sandwich it was the best thing ever and I can’t stop thinking about it. I will be returning for more.

The best food we had on vacation! I had the Maryland crab cakes and hubby had the short rib pot pie. Everything was so flavorful with great presentation. The desserts, Donut Ice cream sandwich and brownie were out of this world. As a family we always rate all our food. I gave this a 12 out of 10! Service was also great.

Korean ribs was a menu special. They were perfect. I like the bar area. Bruno the bartender is wonderful. Very helpful, not judgmental, never saw rolling eyes over any requests, he is a total professional.

Great food, great service and lots of wine options. I particularly like that we could open a wine bottle for dinner from the on-site wine shop for a $10 corkage fee.

Every visit to Liquid Assets is unique and enjoyable. From a quick stop at the end of the evening for desserts & a nightcap, to a complete dining experience, we love this popular spot in OCMD. Our favorite drink to enjoy is the Wide Awake espresso martini. Our server, Emma provided excellent service last night for our girls night out. We were surprised to learn it was her first night serving and she was fantastic. Very personable and easy going. We started our meal with several apps: Tuna Crisps, Baked Mussels, Fresh Bread, Caesar Salad and Baked Mushrooms. For our main entrees, we enjoyed Pan Seared Monkfish, Pan Seared Jumbo Shrimp Risotto and I had the Angus Short Rib French Onion Pot Pie. Each dish was loaded with flavor and artfully presented. The only minor issue is that when the entrees came, they were not all delivered together and everyone waited an extra 5 minutes to begin eating because the Short Rib was delayed in getting to the table. Highly recommend checking out Liquid Assets if you’re ever in Ocean City.

This was one of the best dining experiences we had in ocean city. Serving sizes are larger than expected, come hungry. The calamari is so unique and delish. The ny strip was cooked perfectly and the asparagus alongside it was amazing. The burger was flavorful and juicy. Our service was also outstanding and the environment was quaint. Will go back if I ever come back to OC.

One of mine and my wife’s favorite restaurants for a date night. The food is incredible always changing the menu and bringing in new specials. My wife can’t get enough of the wide awake martini and I can’t stop ordering the homage donuts for dessert. We always request Bethany to be our server. She is so knowledgeable and always makes our experience that much better. Strongly recommend this restaurant for all occasions!

The food was absolutely delicious and large portions.. I hate brussel sprouts but HIGHLY recommend their buffalo sprouts. Can't even tell they were brussle sprouts

Service was great! Dirty martini, very good! We came around lunch time & it wasn’t too busy. By 2pm the crowd was piling in. The FOOD WAS above 5 stars! This place is a nice hidden gem in OC & we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend the chicken veggie pasta, to die for!

A very unique restaurant with excellent food. A restaurant in a shopping center in the middle of a liquor store. Very large portions for the price. My wife ordered off the 2 for $15 lunch menu. I was skeptical based on the price but was pleasantly surprised. My appetizer and entree were both excellent with great flavor. Service was attentive without being intrusive. A nice spot for a casual lunch.

We got the Liquid Assets lunch combos and it was more than enough food. We each got a salad and the open faced bbq and it was very tasty and fairly priced.

This was a nice place to celebrate the start of our vacation with a good meal. We enjoyed the monkfish and risotto and we got the donut ice cream sandwich for dessert which was fantastic! Our waitress was great and we had a nice time enjoying a bottle of wine with dinner. Looking forward to stopping next year. They also have a nice selection of drinks to go and you get a discount on any purchases if you show your meal receipt.

This is the 3rd time we have eaten here and each time, the food and service is phenomenal. Great atmosphere and people. This is definitely our go to in OC. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Second time to LA, last night, wedding anniversary. Mussels right on, pork shank, so big that wife split it with me. She first said expensive. No it is not. Good value for the price. She will bring her younger sister.

Cozy. Restaurant inside retail liquor establishment. Had lunch specials. Choice of two items-bowtie pasta in Alfredo sauce, pasta homemade and light along with massaged kale salad.whatever they do the kale is not really rough. Companion had Caesar salad and BBQ pork. Delicious. For decadent dessert split homemade doughnut ice cream sandwich. Two donuts, crispy outside soft inside, ice cream between and with a bourbon sauce. Lunch good value and dessert a splurge. 😋 Yum. Dessert brought our bill up a bit. So posted just for lunch. Great service. Would be excellent for a glass of wine and a bite at night. Comfy couches about.

This place immediately impressed us as a combination of elegant atmosphere with a friendly, welcoming "vibe." To call the array and display of brews, wine, and spirits impressive is an understatement. The food matches the feel and the displays. A standout was our server, Natalie. Her warmth and disposition also paralleled an attentiveness to quality and satisfaction at the table.

It kills me to write this review. This has always been a favorite of mine. However, I found a small hair in my pasta. The waiter was very nice but he asked if i wanted something else. I agreed & he said he’d “take care of it”. Nothing was taken off of the bill. I guess that was a misunderstanding, but I was very disappointed. Will not be coming back anytime soon.

Liquid assets is definitely a restaurant worth going to. The atmosphere is unique for the family and for just a date night. The food was delicious and the potions were great. The donut dessert is definitely worth trying!!! Our server was great and friendly. Great place all around. Highly recommend it.

It was our daughter’s 25th birthday, we had a party of 11 they seated us with no difficulty, our server was outstanding and the food was amazing! Everyone got something different and each meal was perfect and delicious! Would 10/10 recommend!

Always a great spot, just wish they took reservations. Cindy was a great server. Very attentive without being intrusions. Love that we are not limited to the beer / wine list on the menu - you can pick out anything in the store. Food is always good. We had the ribs for an appetizer along with the burger and tile fish for dinner.

Lovely place, delicious meals in king size portions. The angus pot pie was out of this world and the portion was huge. I left very happy. We also ordered the daily bread starter which was special in a good way. I will be back

We walked in the day after Thanksgiving at 11:40 am and we walked right back out. There was a terrible smell and we could not bare it. I don’t know if it was something cooking but it was an awful smell. We went back and it was a great improvement to the place. Food was good.

The place to go for an upscale cocktail and great food. Sit on the couches or at the bar and mingle with the community or grab a table and delight in a perfectly prepared chef menu/meal. Open later than most upscale locations. Attentive service, I loved the cocktail selection and great wines. Take a bottle home with you too from their shop. Fun presentation. Good size portions. Amazing people.

One of my absolute favorite places to eat. Love the lunch special with the half Caesar salad & half pulled pork sandwich. The donut sandwich is AMAZING.

My husband and I always love coming to this place. We celebrated my birthday this weekend here. There were 11 of us, to my surprise! This is one of my favorite places to go. I just love everything about this place. Sadly, they were very busy and could not seat us for almost 2 hours, nothing they could do about people not getting up for their tables after they were done eating. I never understand this. If you're done eating and you see all those people waiting, why not get up and go to the bar??? Anyway 11 people and everyone loved their food!!! They did a great job! As well as dessert! There wasn't any dessert left on any plate! It's was a great time for everyone!!!

Five of us came in at 4:00 and we were asked if we were there for dinner. We said we were there for apps and drinks. We were told we couldn’t sit at a table because we weren’t there for dinner.. There were PLENTY of tables. Five women drinking alcohol and eating appetizers deserved to sit at a table. Your waitress/hostess made a very poor decision in not allowing us to to sit at a table. I could understand if your place was crowded at the time but it certainly was not. Big mistake! Lost great customers. *Thank you for responding but that is a ridiculous policy. We were going to eat food and have drinks. Being made to sit at a couch when there were plenty of tables is insane. Never have we been treated like that anywhere else.

We found this place after driving around looking for a place with great atmosphere - and found the amazing reviews online. Really wasn't expecting much from a place in a strip mall. But you walk in and it's like Cheers - you're welcomed warmly, there's always space at the bar, and the food & drinks are excellent (don't miss the ice cream sandwich - wow!). We will be back.

An absolute joy to find this place. The outside facade hides the joys inside. Not only a fantastic restaurant but a full liquor store.

Great place! Sat in one of the sofa groupings. Martinis are the best, and ordered the charcuterie board… good selection of cheeses and meats. Certainly would come back here again and again.

Walked in at 4:20 pm with 6 people. Multiple tables open, were told all tables held for dinner….dinner at 4:20? Staff was rude. Do not recommend. Won’t go again. Our Harvest is phenomenal, shocked that the same people own Liquid Assests

Ordered take out 2 entrees a few weeks ago. This was our first time and we were not disappointed. Portions were equivalent to seated diners. You could see them eating at the bar. Very nice atmosphere and food was hot and cashier very friendly!!see you soon!!

We had the most amazing experience at Liquid Assets last night. I had heard about it for years but never tried it. It’s a really cozy spot that is part liquor store and part restaurant. Lots of dark warm wood tones throughout the restaurant and a lively atmosphere on a Friday night. We had the house bread, spinach salad, tuna crisps, French onion pot pie, scallop risotto, and finished with vanilla bread pudding with pear pistachio sauce. Everything was incredible, our waitress took us through her whole menu and gave us a nice introduction to the whole restaurant. We felt very welcomed and will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. I consistently feel that the food scene on the eastern shore is over priced and underwhelming, but this place is up there with some of the best most inspired restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Everything tasted fresh, home cooked, and thoughtfully prepared. There is literally nothing else like Liquid Assets down here.

Amazing venue great staff, everything was phenomenal. Went to visit Ocean City for a weekend and ate at liquid assets three times that weekend it was great!!

I must say after coming to OC for 65 years, we had a wonderful experience to the dining and service. The food was off the chart, from apps to dinner. So good we had to come back the following night and was still amazing. Would highly recommend Liquid Assets for fine dining. Thank you all.

Our server Kylie is great! I was having lunch w my parents and we were talking, a lot. Kylie got our drinks and food out quickly. She was always nearby but didn’t interrupt our conversation. It was the perfect lunch spot and server for us today! Thank you!!

You must stop here to eat! We can't recommend this place enough! From the friendly bartenders to the excellent food-this place is 5 stars!! We had the steak tartare and a charcuterie board-both excellent!

The staff is very friendly and attentive. Normally I try to refrain from eating at restaurants that are either fine dining or close to it, but the food and service was good. Had the oysters Rockefeller which were okay, mussels and Caesar salad. The salad and mussels were very large portions. Plenty of wine or cocktails available. While this is no reflection on the food, service or restaurant itself, I probably wouldn't have eaten here, but we had a gift card and only venture into OC during the off season.

Food was excellent and service was good. They charged me a credit card convenience fee however on my use of a debit card.

Awesome experience. Dinner was without a doubt on point and delicious. We had the house sausage & roasted chicken cacciatore appetizer. The shrimp risotto and crab bucatini were the main entrees. For desert we had the bread pudding and donut ice cream sandwich. All of it was phenomenal and they do an amazing job with their homemade donuts. Food was fresh and very tasteful. The atmosphere was very relaxed and had a good vibe. From the way they organized the layout to the music they played and the volume and the service they provide. Our waiter Rob was a badass and went above and beyond. Overall, for our first time eating here and us having high expectations, we highly recommend Liquid Assets and will gladly come back again. Beware they do serve generous portion sizes, not that that is a bad thing, be prepared for leftovers or go there with a strong appetite.

We were up for the day from Virginia Beach. We ordered and shared: The ultimate grilled cheese Korean ribs Charcuterie board The charcuterie board is way overpriced! We are avid charcuterie diners and this was the worst value we have had yet. The korean ribs were not Korean at all were just ribs with bbq sauce…..husbands Korean…. Meat quality for the ribs was great! Grilled cheese was good and crispy but the apple 🍏 was not a good flavor meld for us. Service was Applebee's style, no recommendations or personality.

The French fries with pork belly was outstanding!! Charcuterie boards were good too, and all entree’s were excellent!

You wouldn’t think it from the unassuming exterior but this is one of the best restaurants at the beach. Food is incredible. We didn’t discover it until late August and have been several times since. Everything we’ve ordered has been perfection. No complaints. Charcuterie and crab cakes were the highlights but everything is excellent. Service is very good at both regular seating and the bar. You could stick this place in a fancier stand alone building and charge 3 times as much. It’s really a hidden gem.

The wagyu burger (or the sauce) had a weird aftertaste that stayed with me for the rest of the day.

The food was wonderful, the service was impeccable, and I had to drag myself back to get more of those delicious homemade donuts. But even more than that, my family left behind our kid's iPad, and one of the employees emailed me and notified me he would be FedExing it back to me at their expense, even after I offered to pay. Just a wonderful all-around restaurant.
