Tasty food and good service set in a casual atmosphere. Enjoyed the eggs benedict.

One word to describe Live Oak, “Complete”, as in the best of everything they provide their customers. From the ownership to the staff and the delicious healthy food they serve.everyday. Did I mention Molly’s baked goods.

Had breakfast here, no long lines and wait times like other hyped up breakfast/brunch places in Santa Barbara. Quality food and relaxing ambiance. Ordered Bacon Avocado omelette and added onion and bell pepper. Very delicious and satisfying meal, and the hash brown was perfectly cooked- crispy and soft. The bird cage in front of the cage is very nice and relaxing to look at. Highly recommended !

Oh man, this was one of the best little cafes that I have went to in a long time. The food was delicious. That homemade chili was to die for. It was great. The atmosphere people were friendly, kind and nice and tentative to your needs. There's no complaints about this place. I highly recommend this place. Only thing I do not recommend is that doggone Best Western Plus worst hotel it is.

Located in a quirky Best Western, this local favorite impressed us with friendly service and tasty lunch offerings. We’ve passed this place many times and finally decided to try. The menu is packed with breakfast and lunch offerings with a Hawaiian flare. We tried the chicken sandwich and BLT. My sandwich was very good. My wife enjoyed her BLT but it was a little heavy in the sriracha sauce. Our server was friendly and did a good job. The dining area has a comfortable cafe feel with tables, booth and a small bar. We might return for happy hour some time. We enjoyed this locals hideaway and will return.

This small off the grid restaurant is a great breakfast and dinner venue to go to. We stayed next door in a quiet and peaceful hotel. The breakfast order was filled and delivered with minimal time. Hot of the griddle! Excellent taste and portions were filling. Our server did a superb keeping up with the many hungry patrons and refills. BTW, they have a very good margaritas for a relaxing time by the pool. Great work to this crew.

Coffee was dark and just the way I like it. I had the feta mushroom omelette with the grilled tomatoes. I ate every bite. My husband got a wrap with bacon and hash browns...anyhow, he wasn't pleased because it had some flavor he didn't like. To me it tasted like smoked cheese was used (and it was perfectly fine). The fresh orange juice is a treat. Staff was a little over eager to refill coffee and ask if there was anything we needed.

Live Oak Cafe never disappoints! We just returned from a delightful evening, where I enjoyed the vegetarian bowl, and my husband ordered the blackened fish tacos, which she said was among the best! Ambience, staff and food is superb. We highly recommend it.

Interesting menu. Santa Barbara quirky. Saw their Live Oak Benedict and had to try it out. It was rather bland, but ok. The server was bored and lacked personality. It seemed like he was just putting in his time. Had wanted to try their pumpkin cheesecake, but he came, dumped the bill on the table there was no hurry to pay up. Decided not to trouble him with an add-on. The rest of the dining staff was friendly and attentive. It was a slow, late Monday morning. Only about four tables were occupied. It was quiet and clean. Great little “hotel” cafe without the feel of a hotel cafe. Granted we just ordered takeout to take back to the room and the food never disappointed. Always fresh always fast and they have a loyalty rewards program as well. The food had such good tastes and seasonings and one of the best orders of onion rings I have ever had.

Had an oat Cappuccino which is more a Latte whole grain pancakes and 2 eggs over easy. Everything was cooked well, caffeine in the expresso just be aware it's not a traditional cappuccino. Scanty on the fruit, maybe 3 or 4 blueberries and a tiny bit of strawberry. Strawberry was not great so just as well. Pancakes were okay but lacked flavor, well actually an unpleasant aftertaste for me. Only ate half. Not sure what the syrup was. Eggs cooked to order. Would try another time with a different choice for meal, there is plenty to choose on the menu. Friendly prompt service, nice atmosphere. I had my meal to go. Plenty of parking. Eating on the patio looked like a nice choice.

We are visiting California on a road trip from England and this was at our first stop. We had a couple of meals and more than a few drinks here over our 2 night stay at Best Western Santa Barbara. First impressions were very friendly, helpful staff which is always a good start. The drinks were very reasonably priced, the margaritas were well made. The food was very tasty and also very reasonably priced. Try the Pacific Rim bacon rice, it is unmissable. Best thing in this restaurant is the staff. They are friendly, attentive to your needs and efficient at serving you. I would stay at Best Western Bath Street again just to visit this restaurant. Thank you guys 🇬🇧

I went here while visiting Santa Barbara on a recommendation. I ordered a California omelette with some hesitation - it was like a Western omelet (which I love) but with spam instead of ham. I would have been willing to pick the spam out if I didn't like it but the problem was at the entire thing was very oily. There was even a puddle of oil on the plate where the ketchup they gave me for the potatoes sat. The cheese was also all on one side of the omelet sort of like it was thrown together, which I think added to the oiliness. Other than that it would have been a good experience which is why I give it three stars.

My first breakfast was out of convenience, just acroos the car park from my room in the Best Western. I ordered the Live Oak Benedict, as it looked closest to the full English I really fancied, and I was interested to taste House-Made Maple Espresso Bacon (bacon soaked in espresso coffee), which was a new one on me. Actually, it was fantastic! And I came back the next morning especially for another helping. Really tasty, and with hash browns the perfect alternative to the Full English - if not better.

An unlikely but surprisingly well diner. We came in for a vacation and stayed at the best western next door. I picked this place because I wanted a comfortable lunch spot to meet family members (we are all from out of town). I was hesitant at first because it was on the property of a best western motel. However, the people were super nice, all our food was delicious and they let us sit and visit for many hours. They never rushed us out. It is a bit off the main tourist area but one plus is there is plenty of free parking. So if you are looking for a nice lunch and don’t need to be on State street give this place a try!

We stayed at the best western plus for two nights in June 2021 and having a restauraunt on the property was very nice. The halibut and chips was great, as was the chili. The staff was very nice. The first time it wasnt busy so everyone was quite attentive. The second time there were about 10 or 12 tables. After taking the order, we never saw the server once. Someone else delivered the food. Nobody checked on us or filled the water or asked about dessert. This was about 20 minutes. While I do recommend this place, the staff needs to learn how to monitor everyone. A different server filled the water at the next table. Not sure if this lack of good service was due to tip-politics or not.
