Amazing food, fun and casual atmosphere, convenient location but still removed from the midst of the city. Hugely recommend the pesto portobello pizza — some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and I eat a lot of pizza! Everything is fresh and bright and delicious, even the cocktails. Service is wonderful too. Everyone working was really friendly. Our server — forgot to ask his name but he had a great twirly mustache!! - was SO nice and so helpful. Great to have a conversation with and great service too. This was the best food we had while staying in Charleston. Definitely check them out! :)

Updated: Years later and this place isn't even close to what it was. The pizza isn't as good - dough is very different, the cheese is awful and salty, and overall taste isn't as it good as it used to be. This could be a frozen pizza and tastes like every other one out there. The service is really really bad these days also (the bartender/manager is miserable) - forgotten items never rang in, barely a smile, and super slow. Watched 2 people come in, wait and walk out after several minutes. Hate to see one of the best go so far downhill. Original review: I love Lola's! Get the sangria, enjoy a fried goat cheese salad, and get a half baked to go and finish off in the home oven when you can't dine in. Delicious every time.

I love this place so much! The food is fantastic and the best in the area for pizza! 🍕 Their drinks are delicious and they always change the drink specials. The owner is super nice and we always have a good time at the bar. They just finished their outdoor space recently and it's really nice! Excited to use it year-round with the heaters they have installed for the cooler months. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. 😉

Thank you to Lola's, our family tradition when visiting Charleston. This past weekend was bittersweet as we bid farewell for the last time to the family homeplace and there was no doubt as the sunset on that mountain where we would eat, Lola's Pizza. The bartender Corey is especially friendly and welcoming, but the entire place just has a very inviting feel. So excited to try the new outdoor patio space when it opens!

Serviceable pizza with some interesting combinations. Nice indoor or outdoor seating options. Awkward, small parking lot. Learned I don't like artichokes, more like "makes me choke". 🤮

Fantastic! Food, service, menu were all top notch.

We’ve been a few times over the last year with varying quality of food/service. But last night 5 of us went out, all ordered different pizzas and drinks, and all 5 of us have been sick with food poisoning since. I’ve also been embarrassed to take gluten free family members there to have them get sick the next day. Do not trust this establishment if you are gluten sensitive or celiac. On the other hand, Pies and Pints in downtown Charleston seems to be under new and much better management and we have had great food and service, and no issues for gf family/friends. Also their prices are much better, and the pizza is higher quality with way more flavor. I will say the wait staff at Lola’s is VERY nice. It’s too bad the food quality and safety isn’t up to the same standard.

Went here for the first time today and absolutely LOVED it! Not only was the restaurant cozy but the staff were impeccable. Food was excellent, and so was their crème brûlée. Will definitely be coming back here often.

Ok, so this place tastes pretty good… BUT… it could be GREAT! For as much wordage is on the website boasting how fresh everything is and making it sound like a 5 star chef restaurant, I guess the food needs to really reflect that more. Let me explain… The spinach on the spinach, feta, balsamic pizza is 100% canned. I’ve cooked fresh spinach on my pizza a zillion times in all diff temps and no matter what you do, it’s NEVER as soggy and saucy as this spinach was. It’s 100% from a can. So definitely upping the ante on using FRESH spinach would add such a depth of flavor and make the overall experience better. The other ingredients on that same pizza were so heavily soggy… like the red peppers… and again FRESH ingredients DON’T do that. The upside is that their crust is very, VERY nice and holds up pretty well to the drenched ingredients. So kudos for that! Also it’s cooked to perfection 👏🏻 Another thing is we were at a table that could see into the kitchen a little through a crack in a door, and we could both see and hear the microwave being used pretty frequently. Another big no-no for a 5 star restaurant. They don’t advertise to be an upscale restaurant per se, but their website sure does make it seem that way. Also, the flourless chocolate cake was cold and dense and definitely felt more like a slice of thick fudge than a “cake.” So it was hard to eat an entire piece. Maybe some whipped cream and a few fresh raspberries would put it over the edge? (Just looking back at the pic of it, it doesn’t look super appetizing as-is). BUT, that being said, the flavor of it was ok and the raspberry sauce was yummy! BUT… I LOVE the look and feel of the little house-like structure it’s in. I didn’t personally prefer the artwork or music choices, but it wasn’t so distracting that I didn’t enjoy the experience. The waitstaff was nice and our waitress was great and personable! Natacha is her name from our receipt. But having some of the waitstaff go in and out of the door to smoke (or whatever they did, maybe vape?) was a little obnoxious. Because everytime they walked past our table after coming in it smelled soooo strong. Hard to enjoy our food with it. And I loved the glass water left at the table… but I agree with another reviewer that the cheap melamine plates (including what the small pizzas were served on) doesn’t match the classy upscale vibe of the things like glass water and wine etc. Overall, I’m sure we would go back again. Just would love to see overall FRESH ingredients being used more to really up the quality and taste of the already awesome ideas of food they have!

Absolutely marvelous pizzas. Novel & high-quality ingredients. Consistently perfect dough & baking. Suggestion: get several small pizzas, so you can try more combinations. Salads & desserts (flourless chocolate cake!!) are top notch.

Not keen on reviews but this one seemed necessary. For years Lola’s has been a go-to place for our family. I suppose all good things come to an end. Management is consistently rude. I sat and watched all of the customers who were otherwise offended by the snarky attitude the bartender/manager directed towards them. That’s just the beginning; food was pricey, to be expected, but pizza was bland. Nothing to write home about. We won’t be coming back but this time because of the service.

Would love to give a review on their food, but called twice in a row, was answered with “Thank you for calling Lola’s, how may I help you?” And then while I was asking how late they were open, I was hung up on. Both times. Unreal, sadly I’ll never go here.

Inconsistent crust, flat, nearly no rise. Has happened a half dozen times in the last year. Paid for toppings that weren’t provided.

Upon arrival, we were told we may have to wait 'just a few minutes' for our party of 6 if we didn't want to sit outside. After waiting 30 minutes and watching multiple new guests walking right by being seated, we were told they were still waiting for a table to clear. After an hour & still more guests coming, being seated, I asked & was still told the very same- they were waiting for tables to clear. Needless to say, we left after over an hour and a half wait. Obviously, they didn't care about our service & were continuing to receive new guests. We will never be back. Not to mention, the very minimal parking area is horrible.

Had a great to-go order here, can't wait to go back netx year and done in. We ordered a sweet potato salad and goat cheese Salad, both very good. Also a bacon and white cheddar pizza which was perfect. Had no idea it was so cool inside until we got there to pick up and take back to hotel. Will definitely dine in next time.

This pizza place is amazing. The crust is chewy and crisp! There are fun types of pizzas that really highlight the creativity of this pizza place. I even enjoy the salads they offer along with the pizzas. You should come here and eat. The staff is friendly and responsive and while the building itself is a little cramped, I have never had an issue with getting seated or having a place to sit even with my large family. This is a must try pizza place in Charleston. Try something different from the standard fast food pizza places. The prices here are reasonable and fair.

Cozy "home" atmosphere and great outdoor seating. Parking is an issue. Salad was very interesting with a unique combination of flavors. Pizza also had unique options. Toppings were fresh and delicious! Loved the crust. Can't wait to go back and try more of their specialty pizzas. You have to try the creme brulee!!!

Lola's is the best artesian pizza parlor in WV. My go-to is the fig jam pizza add sausage 😋

Lola's is a small and cozy establishment on top of a hill in Charleston, WV. We had the hummus to begin with. We created our own pizza, then ended the meal with their coconut créme Brule. The whole meal, atmosphere, and service was amazing. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant when in town!

Highly recommend red sangria. Pizza is amazing as always, but the desert was just awful. Best to save money on that part and go to cafe Romeo down the street for desert.

Always great food! This last time my wife ordered the roasted sweet potato salad with fried goat cheese 🤩 And I got the bacon breakfast pizza for lunch! Ordered more than we could eat specifically so we could have leftovers 😅. Lola's definitely does not disappoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Incredible food and very reasonable rates! The roasted sweet potato salad is such a winner! All the pizzas are excellent and delicious. Cozy atmosphere with great staff too! Although the menu is limited in items, I've never once been disappointed with the food (and I'm a very picky eater, haha!). If they would consider adding a home delivery service, that would be perfect!!

Lola's Pizza is an awesome local pizza restaurant on Bridge Road in Charleston, WV. The few times I've dined in, the staff has been friendly and attentive. The carryout process is also good, very easy with a quick phone call. You can't go wrong with either the pizzas or the salads - that's usually what I stick to and both of their varieties have been delicious. I highly recommend Lola's if you're looking to try a great pizza!

Would have been an amazing pizza, but it had no sauce on it. If you like a lot of toppings prepare to pay a fortune.

I’ve only been here years ago when they first opened. This is my second time, and I will be back! I love the atmosphere, the music, the service, the food! Forgot to take a picture of the Artichoke, and goat cheese with Kalamati olives pizza, the best!

Enjoyed our visit! First time. Parking was a little difficult, but that was the only drawback. Wife had a Fig Jam Flatbread and I had a Streak & Cheese. The jalapeños made this amazing. Great service in a unique house turned restaurant location. Will definitely make another visit on our next trip to Charleston.

Never a bad time here. Small beer selection but whoever orders actually drinks it and orders good ones, all local. Busy AF...parking wonky, but you'll love the pizza and thr atmosphere. Customer base is varied, location means plenty of entitled @$$hats demanding server and bartender attention, but they do their best and take great care of you. Definitely one of the top 10 of charleston for all the restaurant metrics.

Their salads are always so fresh and the panko crusted mozzarella appetizer it a perfect way to start your meal. I recommend getting both their marinara and homemade ranch for dipping. I had the flank steak pizza with jalapeños and added mushrooms and tomatoes and it was phenomenal. Services I'd always wonderful and the atmosphere is quaint but sometimes it's hard to hear especially if you get a table near the bar. I look forward to water weather when we can eat outside which takes care of the noise problem. Very original food with a full bar and marvelous sangria!

This place was great, the food, the service are really great. I am from out of the area, my daughter took us here, the parking is challenging, I ended up parking almost 2 blocks away, but it was totally worth it. The menu is unique and the test excellent and prices are reasonable.

Lola's is my favorite pizza place in WV. The service is great and the people are friendly. The pizza is great, and the sides (meatballs, salads, hummus, etc) are all really good. I'd recommend Lola's to anyone coming through Charleston.

Update today the pizza was so salty I couldn't eat it.... I think it's garlic salt instead of fresh garlic. So disappointed. The original owner sold it and it's but the same service and quality of food. I ordered a margarita which had no fresh garlic because they didn't have any.... We waited for cutlery and napkins.... The food took an extremely long time.... And on one occasion the new owner did cover our check because the pizza took over a hour. I do love the outdoor seating. Parking is problematic always.

Made a stop here for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised! I had the sausage and onion with roasted red pepper, my oldest tried the hawaiian, and my husband and youngest child built their own. We ate every bite! Best pizza I've ever had!

Lola's is a nice, relaxed pizza place on Bridge Road. Today we got a half-and-half large pizza, one half was the Spicy Shrimp and Sausage, and the other was the Bacon and White Cheddar. Both were very good, the shrimp and sausage was delicious, and the Goat cheese was a good contrast to the spice. The Bacon was perfectly crispy. The only issue you may have is the parking. Parking at Lola's itself is limited but there is plenty of parking within a short walking distance from the restaurant, so it's not a deal breaker at all. Lola's has been here for a while but if you haven't tried them yet, you definitely should. The flavors are good, ingredients are fresh and well made, and you shouldn't be disappointed.

Impersonal greeting when we arrived. Slow, impersonal, inattentive service. Wholly lackluster food with the pizza served cold and soggy with skimpy, substandard toppings. The BLT and fried goat cheese salads were decent. There has been a definite decline over the past several years. I’m done giving them chances for improvement. You can do better. Hell, a Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready is at least fair value for money (and actually tastier and served warmer).

Such a cute and lovely restaurant! Had a hard time deciding what to get because there's so many interesting items on the menu. Fun looking art is everywhere hanging up on the walls, hanging from the ceiling. Staff was very friendly. The salads we had were delicious and of good portions. We want to go back sometime and try the pizzas next!

Very disappointed about our non-service last night. We haven’t been to Lola’s since they opened years ago, and I was looking forward to going back. We arrived at 6:45 and asked the bartender for a table for 3. We were told 20-30 minutes, which was fine. We walked outside to wait on the other member of our party to arrive. 2-3 parties who came in after us began to be seated 30 minutes later. I went to ask about our spot and the women seating people said “I don’t know where you are on the list.” 20 minutes later, My husband went in to ask about our party of three and the bartender told them we were “next”. After watching another party come in and be seated, I walked back in and asked why we hadn’t been seated yet. The bartender says to me “I can’t seat a party of 5 yet.” We never had a party of 5. We had a party of 3. We told them that when we walked in, and every single time we came in to check on our wait. The sat three larger parties that came in after us. Needless to say, at 7:50 we asked them to take our names off the waitlist and we left. Really disappointed to not even get a table.

Dont enjoy eating here in person due to feeling cramped, it’s also way too loud in to have conversation. Past 3 times I’ve ordered for a pickup the food hasn’t been right or the food isn’t ready on time, despite making the order an HOUR AND A HALF before the request for a pickup. They’ve officially lost my business.

Delicious! We had a fabulous meal here. Our server was knowledgeable and knew the menu backwards and forwards. Great salads and cocktails, and the pizza was wonderful!

Must have tried this place on the wrong evening. The two pizzas we ordered were very bland, partially burnt, and really skimped on the pepperoni. They had no flavor and seemed to be lacking any spices at all. Kind of shocked by the 4-5 star reviews...

The crust is very bland tasting! Toppings are very skimpy! Pizza hut pizza is just as good! You do not want to ever eat here!

We ordered the fried mozzarella appetizer that was absolutely delicious. We then ordered 2 pizzas both of which we really enjoyed. One was the sausage and caramelized onions and the other a custom pie with ham and bacon, garlic oil and fresh mozzarella. Both were cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Wow... why did it take me so long to check this place out??? Absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the sweet potato salad and it was the best salad I have had in a long time! Also ordered the fig and rosemary pizza and added Jalapenos. Abby was our waitress and she recommended I also add the spicy sausage so I did.... Sooooo Good!!! So happy we randomly decided to try this place. I will definitely be back!! Great service, fantastic food!

Very little signage makes this place tricky to locate. Parking was limited and full, so we had to park up the street a couple blocks. Outdoor seating area was great, we scored a table on the porch. Pan seared mozzarella was good. We split an Artichoke & Goat Cheese pizza and both considered it mediocre. Sangria was excellent. Efficient service. Interesting vibe here bumps it above average.

Way too loud inside. People eating there were very crude and you can hear every conversation. Food was good but overshadowed by the noise and people.
