Will drive the ten miles from Angleton for this BBQ even though there is a BBQ place less than a mile from my home. Always get goodies by the pound to bring home. Never disappointed. Cooked over a wood fire with great flavor.

We will be back for sure. I had chicken and hubby had sliced beef. Both were cooked perfectly. Beans, Cole slaw were very good. I had the mustard potato salad and it was ok. SUPER CLEAN and very nice.

What a hidden Gem 💎 brisket was amazing melt in your mouth and off the bone ribs smoke to perfection,not to mention the homemade barbecue sauce WOW. Friendly faces when your greeted. Will be back for sure

Got food for 3 adults and 2 kids. We all thought it was the worst bbq any of us had ever had. Got 3 meat plates, so I had every kind of meat served. Not only was it dry, but all you could taste is liquid smoke. The only way you could tell the difference in the meat was the texture. The turkey was nice and moist, but all you could taste was smoke. I got mustard and regular potato salad, both terrible. The beans were just cooked, really dry beans and no sauce. The bbq sauce tasted like watered-down canned catsup. I also got 3 homade banana puddings that were disgusting. Pretty much the entire meal went in the garbage. I went there because I was craving some brisket and looked at a few reviews and only saw one bad one, so I was looking forward to it. I honestly feel really bad leaving such a terrible review they seemed nice. I only do reviews if I feel a place was really great or really terrible, and unfortunately, it's terrible.

Hands down some of the best BBQ in the area! Great people that run the place and the food is stellar. Best jalapeño poppers I have ever had. I strongly recommend 👌

Wow Best smoked Turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. I I came from Georgia don’t know many places. I got lost seemingly trying to find Chinese food l. I said let quit wasting gas. Had a big pick-up order needing to be ready before they opened, and they knocked it out of the park. Service was perfect-- friendly, and everything was right. I'm really picky about my brisket, and I would have preferred more of a charred chopped brisket in my sandwich. Sauce and cole slaw was on point, but the potato salad had way too much mayo for my liking. Still, I'd eat there again any time!

my family’s go to bbq place in brazoria country for as long as I can remember. staff is always very friendly and recognize regulars + their orders. their brisket, pulled pork and ribs are the best around here

Made the short drive from Angleton to Richwood... in hopes of better BBQ. This is worst BBQ I have ever had. It taste and looks about 2 days old. No flavor No texture or substance Burnt Chopped beef sandwich i have no idea what to say or think about the meat.

Everything here is good, maybe not great, but overall tasty. However, the loaded baked potatoes are SUPERB!! If you want a brisket tater, this is the place to go! Owners are Super nice folks, glad to have this local bbq spot outside the neighborhood!

This was the first time eating here at lone star bbq and it was absolutely delicious soft tender brisket and more than the other places around the area of richwood, clute and lake jackson found a good place for bbq.

I don't want to take away from the place since I'm sure there are people who like this place. But this is my review and I have tried way better bbq in the area. I ordered turkey and jalapeno poppers, turkey was dry and the smoke ring tasted bitter. The poppers were on a tray on top of the counter. When I was at my table and tried the poppers they were already cold. If bbq is your thing I recommend Sista White instead.

Such a lovely place! Good selection at very reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere, excellent service and the owners are very nice people. It is clear that this place is well taken care of. Very clean! The ribs were truly delicious, so I regretted a bit that we didn't order more. Also, if you prefer cake with right level o sweetness(not too much), definitely would advise trying their homemade cake! THIS IS SO GOOD! We devoured three servings and still wanted more!🙈 I highly recommend checking out this place. I think there will be no regrets at all! Amazing place!

We stopped here during our vacation as we were passing through, there were six of us. The kids raved immediately and said we needed to come back the next day! The meat was cooked just right, the sides were amazing and the sauce was perfection.

We have eaten here a few times over the past 5yrs, and never been disappointed. Great staff friendly environment and always great food. My favorite is the loaded BBQ baked potato. I get it with brisket or chicken. It's more food than you should eat at one time. Always support a locally owned business.

Passing through back to houston from surfside for lunch, shared a 3 meat plate with Brisket, Turkey, and Pulled pork with a couple texas poppers on the side! BBQ Sauce was perfect for all three! Potato Salad was superbly made. Texas poppers had a mighty good kick. Well done Lonestar BBQ

Rib and chop sandwich. Make sure to get some sauce. The Texas poppers are slow smoked and yum!! The cream cheese has nice Smokey flavor. Pepper is spicy. Babin just crispy. Just testing to see if it turned out the same... better. See second photo. The Rib & smoked Turkey Sandwich was spot on. This little family style BBQ place is exactly what you're looking for!

Ladies behind counter were nice,sweet. Had 2 meat combo( brisket, sausage) pot salad, corn and coleslaw. All were great even had chocolate cake for dessert. The bbq sauce had a sweet but tangy taste it was good. Finally got here on day they were open.

This was my first time at add lone Star.. I had the 3 meat plate of brisket ribs and sausage... An added highlight was the baked potato, potato salad.... This was a pleasant surprise... I said in there alone. . Due to covid... not many people were inside....but the owners made me feel very welcome and I enjoyed my lunch and conversation thoroughly...

I get the Big Tex every time and slap bacon, sour cream, cheese, and jalapenos for no extra charge. If you don't know what a Big Tex is you're missing out and need to check it out. Sauce is home made and actual sauce. None of that thick ketchup stuff. To top the whole experience off the100% live oak smoke adds extra flavor. The jalapeno poppers are just as addicting if you can stand the heat!

This is the best tasting Barbecue in the Brazosport area. Ribs have amazing bark and not overly seasoned. Good sausage too. Sides are far superior to the other barbecue joints in town. I really enjoyed their baked potato salad. They also make these smoked bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos that taste amazing with your meal. The only disappoint was that although the brisket was tasty they did not offer fatty brisket from the point as they only serve the flat for sliced brisket.

Top notch BBQ shop with a lot of culture. Some comical signs and great BBQ sauce will keep you coming back for more. Happy to hve stumbled into this finely run family establishment and hope to come back one day. Pulled pork was my favorite and the homemade jalapeno peppers weren't half bad either. Highly reccomend coming to this place for a quick pulled pork sandwich before getting back on the road or back to work!

Very tender brisket. Great chopped beef. Great service. Good location. Interesting wall art. Good prices. However, I didn't care for bbq sauce. It tastes like ketsup, with spices that don't get along with bbq. Definitely will go back. I just won't order sauce.
