This is a must try! I went during Essence Festival and I enjoyed it so so much!!!

This place is AMAZING!!! We were in fat kid Heaven!!! My husband and our 2 children entered this establishment on a Friday around 11 a.m. The waitress was nice and provided recommendations on the food. We ordered the brownie, the praline cookie, the sweet potato cookie, the chocolate chip cookie, seafood beignet, and praline beignet. The sweet potato cookie is something like I have never tasted. I don't even like sweet potato pie, but this cookie is in a class all its own. The praline cookie was great, but it didn't compare to the sweet potato cookie for me. I am not the target audience for the chocolate chip cookie, but I know it has one. The praline beignet was light and fluffy and had just enough powdered sugar on it. The seafood beignet was served with a sauce which was amazing!!! Just know you only get one in an order. The environment was nice and there were only 3 other tables when we got there. The beignets came out in about 10 minutes after ordering. We ate our cookies and brownies while we waited. Overall I give this restaurant a 10/10 for cleanliness, taste, and customer service. Will definitely visit again when in New Orleans.

Yo, I just have to go to Loretta's at least twice when I'm in New Orleans. We tried the crab beignets, rum pralines, and sweet potato cookies for the first time. They were all amazing! Keep it up!

We had the praline beignet and the praline candy. The beignets were made to order and oooooh my they were so delicious. They were so good we wanted to take another hour and 30 min ride back to get more. This place is for certain authentic, and that's in the name and flavor. This is a must try stop if you are visiting New Orleans.

If you've got a sweet tooth like me, these are the best beignets in town. The praline beignets are unforgettable.

They ran out of the chicken and seafood beignets which is the reason we came. The crab was good nice little placed I'd visit again.

We stopped in because some friends recommended Loretta's as the best beignets in New Orleans! We tried the praline and chocolate beignets and loved them. The shop itself is cute and the service was quick and friendly. The beignets are just so different from other places we had (like cafe Du Monde) you really can't even compare them!

First time visit and I am sure we will return when visiting the city. I wasn't sure what to expect and tried the rum pralines and I was a happy camper.

We tried the crab and chicken beignents.....they were really good. I was expecting the crab beignent to taste like a crab cake sort of, but it didn't......it held its own unique flavor.......the actual beignet is a nice compliment. I really don't care for beignets with powdered sugar, but this is different! It was flaky and crisp....more like a croissant.

the beignets are incredible. THESE are the ones worth waiting in line for. not those other guys. try the chocolate beignets, which are stuffed with creamy chocolate praline <3

We came here specifically for the crab beignets on the recommendation of fellow foodie family members. Upon entering we noticed that this place was visited by both locals and adventurous tourists, such as my partner and I. You order at the counter and have the option of take-away or to stay and eat at one of the 10-12 tables you have located around the store. The 2-3 staff behind the counter taking orders were nice enough however they seemed a bit overwhlemed. They had trouble balancing taking each customer's order, keeping the tables clean and bringing out the orders from the kitchen; the one trash bin they had was overflowing with garbage and no one seemed to want to empty it. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our 2 crab beignets and a sweet potatoe pie. I had to speak to one of the staff to ask for a follow-up as they had forgotten about our order. To add insult to injury, the bottle of aioli sauce the server brought to our table to go with the crab beignets did not last more than 90 seconds before another server came and took it away as she needed it for another table. While the food was good, the wait time and the failed hospitality was just too much to overcome. Definitely do not come here if you are hungry and want to be served in a timely manner.

Cute little cafe feel with delicious variations of beignets in the form of sliders. We had the fried chicken beignets, crab beignets, seafood beignets and hamburger beignets which had hot sausage mixed in the meat. It was served with a remoulade sauce which really wasn't needed bc each beignet tasted amazing. Everything was delicious and they weren't stingy with the filling of each. We also had a Tiger Woods for drink which was the perfect mix of sweet tea and lemonade. The staff were so kind and helpful while we made our choices. Parking was minimal on the street however that's to be expected.

I recently had the most awesome experience taking my son to New Orleans for his 16th Birthday! And let me tell you, the beignets we had were out of this world! We indulged in the traditional ones, the crab-filled ones, and even the chicken beignets. Oh boy, they were absolutely delicious! We couldn't resist going back for seconds! But you know what made our trip even more special? The fantastic customer service we received elat Loretta’s. I mean, seriously, it was top-notch! The whole place had this incredible positive family vibe. It was like we were surrounded by love and warmth. It's safe to say that the spirit of Ms. Loretta, whoever she is, was truly present in her place. So, here's me, sending loads of love from Ohio! ❤️

Anytime I travel to New Orleans Loretta's is a must stop and purchase. My goal is to try everything and the menu.

Arrived at 4:25. the woman taking orders would take an order, and go back and talk to her coworkers for 5 minutes and then take another order. there were only 7 groups in front of me to order at 4:25, by 4:45, there were still 4 groups in front of me and a massive line behind me and she came out and said no more beignets. What a terrible way to run a business - slow playing the line and making people wait when you know they'll never be served. I won't be back.

I was blown away by the sausage egg and cheese breakfast beignet! The regular beignet was delicious too. The praline one was too sweet for me and my kid but the spouse ate them. My only regret is that I didn't manage to get back during my trip.

Hands down the best and I mean the absolute best beignets in New Orleans and the customer service was great. Just don't waste your time going to other places because this place is the best. We tried the seafood and chicken beignets and they were a hit

Let’s talk Southern Hospitality, this is the place! So warm and welcome you’d think you came home to a long lost family member. The menu is diverse, several types of beignets and pralines. Coffee pretty great and the sweet potato pie stole my heart. The owner herself is kind and welcoming.

Yesss gawd!!!!! I went in yesterday just as they opened for sweet potato mini pies and cookies but they weren't ready yet. I ran some other errands and came back to get them just before flying out and when I tell you they were well worth the wait. These cookies, these cookies are way too good. Soft,chewy, spiced and moist. Love everything i got from Loretta's.

Everything is delicious, absolutely superb food and coffee. But the front door makes a terribly loud screeching sound when it's opened, I hope they can get it fixed soon!

First time visitor! Ordered chocolate, peanut butter pralines and the sweet potato cookies! Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed the sweet potato cookie, sweet and savory and a bit spicy! The pralines weren’t overly sweet (teeth-aching sweet) which was nice! The sweet potato cookies would be great as a gift as well if you’re going to a dinner! Old school cafe/diner charm, complete with a cool old-school neon sign. A neighborhood staple and now I see why! I will definitely be back to pickup more!

I can’t imagine a better bite of food than the praline stuffed beignets. The sweet potato cookies are a gem that left my husband talking for a week. The praline is amazing of course but the breakfast beignets still live in my dreams. This is always the first place I recommend when visiting New Orleans.

This place is a light in the darkness. The food is fantastic. We especially enjoyed the sausage egg and cheese and the bacon egg and cheese beignets. The pralines were excellent as well. Very nice people running the place.

Delicious and freshly made beignets~~ I ordered the burger and praline beignets and praline cookies. 5 beignets later and I'm stuffed! The burger ones were delicious, tasted wonderful and felt lighter than normal sliders because of the beignets instead of the buns. The praline beignets were scrumptious - I have a sweet tooth and these definitely hit the spot! I paired my praline beignets with milk and loved it! Definitely coming back for more before I leave!

We visited the day after the Beyoncé concert before heading back to Houston, and let’s just say I talked about these beignets the entire ride back. I ordered the crab beignets and the cheeseburger beignets. They were both very delicious, but that crab beignets were some of the best foods I’ve ever tasted. I can’t wait to give this place another visit. Oh, and the customer service is incredible. Thank you Loretta’s for this remarkable experience.

I highly recommend going here when you're in New Orleans. The beignet was so good. Customer service was excellent. I loved all of the beignets I ordered so much that I went back the next day to try a different one. Oh yeah the sweet potato cookie was so yummy.

The only place I get beignets! Service is great! The food is SPECTACULAR! It was brunch so I got breakfast and lunch beignets. The crab beignet is to die for! And the praline and chocolate ones made me lose my mind! Don't go anywhere else!

This place felt like my Auntie’s house. You got good food and the good Lord all in the same space! I had my first beignet here and it was HEAVEN!! The staff was fun and welcoming, I definitely will be returning!!

The best place for pralines I enjoyed myself here the staff was friendly and it was not many people in the dining area this day but the staff was busy filling call in orders however they still had time to talk and answer all my questions about them and the area

I went to Loretta's to take Pralines back home to family and friends. I'm allergic to nuts, and online, it showed they had Pralines without Nuts. I was excited. However, when I arrived, I was unable to purchase some without nuts as they didn't have any, and I was told I would've had to call a head of time to place an order for them. But it doesn't state that on their website. I did purchase a dozen rum & a dozen traditional. My family and friends have been enjoying them.

Fabulous food and friendly service. Had the breakfast beignet and Cafe au lait...outstanding. Also tried a praline and a praline pastry....all fabulous. Went back for 2 more orders of breakfast beignets and traditional beignets the same morning for the family. They're going to die!

This place is absolutely beautiful. She may be gone but she left her love here. I wish I could have met this beautiful woman in person. I bought a 6 pack and all the flavors was absolutely wonderful. The young lady who served me was so sweet and polite. I love how they wrapped the pralines up.
