Wonderful food made by wonderful people!

This was an amazing birthday dinner for my husband, it's one of his favorites!!! It's not your traditional Italian food, it has a twist that stimulates every taste buds in your mouth!!! Soooooo good!!

Talk about worth the money! Every detail from salad to desert was amazing. The food alone would be worth it but let's talk about the staff. I dont usually remember names but i made sure to make a note of shelly, she made a meal into a wonderful experience. My waitress was truly a professional the whole meal was timed perfect never waiting between courses but never rushed either. Best food in helena and by far the best service I've had there as well.

Ate here a few months ago and as usual a highly touted restaurant in MT is average at best. The food was mediocre, the service was ok, and the atmosphere was mundane. The interior design was from the 1960's. I can't recommend nor eat at this restaurant again.

The food was very tasty and well presented! Angie is the world's best server!! We were impressed all around and are certain we will return.

What an amazing dining experience! Shelly was so attentive and made great suggestions for both of our dinners and wine! The Fisherman’s Spaghetti was over the top with seafood and the Shrimp fra diavolo was just as good. Highly recommend Lucca’s for amazing Italian while you are in Helena!

Experienced an excellent, high quality service.

So me and my coworker were in town on a business trip. It all starts with sitting at Rialto for a few drinks when Tina came over to pick up drinks and I randomly asked her (knowing it was booked all night and only take reservations) if they could get us in. She gladly said if we waited 15 min we could get on the countertop. Hearing about the place, it was an offer we couldn’t deny. We were seated, greeted and served by Carolann. Such an amazing turn over, service and hospitality. And the FOOD !!!!!!! It was by far the best I have had. This is a must go spot when in Helena. Big shout out to Tina and Carolann for making our short trip to Montana an experience we will never forget.

Great place to celebrate a special night! Loved the warm and inviting atmosphere.

Atmosphere was excellent. Server was very courteous & knowledgeable! Serving size & food was excellent. However there was a lot of oil/grease with the seared scallops, shrimp & mushroom pasta dish. Waiting time in between food/dishes was almost unbearable! Need to have Moscato by the glass as well as by the bottle! Need to be faster with the food! Price for fine dinner is comparable. Great place. I'd go back & recommend to others!

My ziti was the bomb! My wife's halibut (just flown in that day) was awesome. Fantastic experience with Tina our server. Will return next time we are in Helena.

The food and atmosphere is always great as you’ll read in every review, but I must shout out the hostess! We came tonight for dinner for my husband’s first time while on a business trip and the hostess was hands down the sweetest ever! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant with a better hostess. She was kind, friendly and attentive. Lucca’s for so many reasons will continue to be my favorite restaurant! Thank you all for another 5 star experience.

I can’t say enough good things. This was one of the best meals and experiences I’ve had in Helena. All the food was amazing, Angie took care of all our needs and was very attentive, and the prices were on par with the quality of food and service. Highly recommend.

We are in town for a few days and this was our first choice to dine after a fantastic experience last year. Fantastic again in every way. Angie is a gem. The food is fabulous. The wine... Cant wait to come back ❤️

12/20 I dined with my family from out of town. Tried to send back a plate that was made incorrectly. Server and chef complained in the open about it, all they offered was to take it off my bill and stated "sorry the kitchen is closed", from that point on our server ignored me and after she finally came back i was not offered anything, nothing, not even a salad or bread or a refill on my drink. This ruined my night, I went home hungry after watching everyone finish their meals, I went to bed hungry. I'm appalled at the service I received as this restaurant has been in my opinion the best Restaurant in town. I am a local professional in this community who has been dining with lucas since the small house by the ball field. Words cannot express how disappointed I am even after attempting to discuss this matter with the manager. I was treated as though I should be happy with a "sorry" and dessert and entrée. Why would I spend a single dollar of my money to come back here? After that treatment for sending back a dish and now complaining to the manager I would fear retaliation. I will be seeking out the owner and head chef to discuss this matter and if it is still not resolved I will be sharing my experience with every friend, family member and colleague that I can.

The service was exceptional. Our server was named Jaime and he was just great. The food was divine. My husband's veal was our favorite of the three dishes. Our daughter had the New York York and it was cooked perfectly. I had the scallops and shrimp and was not disappointed. Spectacular evening.

I went to Lucca's when I was in Helena visiting and WOW. This restaurant is reason enough to head back to Helena! Great food, especially the special pasta dish and the desserts. Top notch service and a cozy environment. I will definitely be back!

I have heard about how exquisite Luuca's was for years. It is located downtown Helena on the walking mall. There is a convenient parking garage close. It is easy access. I have never had the chance to go. I had gotten a gift card for Lucca's and invited a close friend to share the experience. What a wonderful time we had. The host and serving staff were so friendly and catered to our every need. I would say dinner is a five course meal. Everything was scrumptious. We appreciated that the restaurant supports other businesses by serving their bread. My friend needed a gluten free option, and they brought her gluten free crackers without us even asking. The main dish was described as spicy, I had requested a mild form, and it was SO GOOD. They did offer us desert, but we couldn't eat another bite. It was obvious that the other patrons were enjoying their meals and lingered in conversation with their friends and family. What a special evening.

Lucia’s serves the best, most flavorful Italian food I have every had! We highly recommend. Excellent!

My go-to restaurant to bring visitors and to celebrate birthdays. Expensive but not wildly so. And very worth it. We love when we can get the table in the window, and it's great in the winter since there is a radiator right there.

Always have a great experience every time we dine here excellent staff every time the only down side is if you're not dining early they sell out of some popular menu items.

I can't say enough about Lucca's! Everything I've ever had there has been amazing. The shrimp fra diavolo is my go-to and never disappoints. The service is always excellent. And that parmesean balsamic vinegar sauce they have with the bread, OMG, I could drink that stuff. Do yourself a favor, get a reservation, and go eat here! You won't regret it! Update: I just returned from a trip to San Diego and ate at a recommended place in little Italy just to compare their gamberi fra diavolo (more seafood than just shrimp in a red sauce) and there is no comparison. Theirs is good, but doesn't even approach Lucca's!!!

Best meal and dining experience I've ever had. Carolanne is the most pleasant, efficient and professional attendant ever; we watched Jody prep desserts while executive chef Mike divulged the secret recipes that pleasured our taste buds beyond description. You must go!

I have been to Lucca's about four or five times in the past, and frankly, I was impressed with the food and customer service. However, today's experience is deserving of zero stars. This evening, I attempted to purchase a pound of muscles to go. However, the general manager, Tina, said that Lucca's hasn't done online orders for muscles in the past two years since COVID. I informed her that that was not true since I had purchased muscles to go from this restaurant on at last two occasions in the past few months. I offered to present my receipts from the restaurant to substantiate my claim; however, my words fell on deaf ears. Feeling frustrated with having dealt with Tina, I left my contact information with her and asked the owner to call me. An hour later, I went to Silver Star Steak Company and ordered approximately one pound of muscles to go. Their staff were wonderful, and their prices were comparable to Lucca's. Needless to say, Lucca's is no longer a dining option for me. Instead, I plan to return to Silver Star for all of my fine dining needs. Disappointingly Yours

The best Italian food in Helena!

My wife and I ate here for the first time and let me tell you. We will be back! The staff made you feel like they have known you for years. So friendly and inviting. The food was top notch with flavors that tantalized your taste buds in every dish. Everything cooked to perfection and had a perfect balance of flavor in every bite. 10/10 I highly recommend you try Lucca’s! You won’t regret it!

Love this place! My family would go for special occasions. The owner saw me and my brother grow up and we saw how the place grew! we love eating there and never get tired of it! its been a couple years since we've gone for we moved to tx but always miss the amazing food and service they provide for us! We hope to go back and visit and dine in once again!

This place is a great date night place. First you walk in and are greeted by a very enthusiastic hostess. Then you are seated and offered, off menu wines. The menu is small serious and to the point, in a good way. There is variety of foods for all palettes and restrictions. We are keto and had a great experience. Our waitress was new but amazing. We decided to be adventurous and try stuff that we don’t normally get. For appetizers we got the mussels with pesto and crab stuffed peppers, both were phenomenal. Plus the wine that was suggested paired perfectly with the apps. After that they brought salad that was paired with an amazing vinaigrette. We ordered the lamb chops and the veal and I seriously can’t choose which one was better, both were amazing. I was slightly worried about ordering the lamb because I’ve had it in the past and didn’t like it. But this lamb was absolutely perfect! If you aren’t sure whether you like lamb or not, this is the place to try it, 100%. The veal was lightly breaded and had a Marsala sauce and was sooooo tender that you can cut it with a fork only. This place is one of the best places that we have eaten at in a long time. Montana’s/Helena’s hidden gem.

I can't put into words how incredible our experience was. Everything was perfect, and the atmosphere was too notch. A little hidden gem that you need to experience.

Best Italian in Helena! The staff is very courteous and helpful. They were willing to adjust and move our reservation around when we needed. Nicole, our server was attentive, kind, and friendly. The food, as always, was amazing! I usually get their pasta, however, this time decided to try the veal. It was delicious! My husband also loved the Ciopinno. We definitely will be back and highly recommend Lucca's to everyone!

Great place for a nice romantic dinner that is quiet with great Italian food.

I have eaten here dozens of times, I have yet to be disappointed. The servers are wonderful, in particular Tina, we always try and get seated in her section if possible. Ray and the rest of the staff are all very knowledgeable about the extensive wine menu. Then you have the food, I can honestly say that in over 10 years of going here have only ever had one complaint about something I ordered (steak temp) and it was immediately addressed by our waitress and replaced by a perfect steak a couple of minuets later. I highly recommend the mussels and New York strip with the potato cakes off of their menu, though their specials are often creative and very tasty, the Chef kills it every time! My spouse enjoys the pork chop, which I've never had myself, but it always looks SO good. The price may seem a bit steep initially, but after an amuse-bouche, salad, and local bread (all three of which come with the meal), plus an appetizer, the main dish, and some wine or a cocktail prepared by the bar next door its worth every penny. There are many great dinner/date restaurants in Helena, but this is the only one I would unquestionably give 5 stars. Seating seems a bit limited so make sure to get a reservation, I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

Very watery pasta little to no flavor the new York steak had an off taste just not a fan. Nice atmosphere and service was so so.

Great little gem of a restaurant in downtown Helena. I was here with a group for a business dinner and everything on the menu looked amazing. My personal favorite, the Shrimp Fra Diavolo was incredible. I’ll be dreaming about this dish for a long time!

It's been a long time since my mouth had this much fun! Flavors! Textures! Oh my!

The bread and specialty butter were amazing. Sadly, the main course was not. I got the baked ziti and any Italian person would have been OFFENDED by the sauce. It was SO thin it was water. It didn’t stick to the pasta at all. I basically ate plain pasta soaked in a watery tomato sauce with a LOT of cheese. I could have stayed at home and cooked ziti on the stove, threw cheese on it, and boom. I would have Luccas baked ziti. For the price and reputation, I expected better. Very disappointed.

Took my wife for our anniversary. It was well worth the drive from Great Falls 90 miles away. Everything was excellent. My wife said the Walleye was the tastiest fish she's ever eaten. I had the lasagna and it was delicious as well .

Very seldom will I admit when I eat at place n say, "These guys do it better than we do it." Well, Lucca's in Helena Montana has earned my respect and it was an honor n privilege to dine here. They use a local bakery for the bread (baked daily) for their pre-meal dinner. The salad dressing was a Watermelón balsamic vinegaret dressing made fresh, soooo goood. These little tomato grape bruschetta bite things that had so much flavor. To moms seafood dish with amazing flavors cooked to perfection, and and my steak with roasted veggies n shrimp with a cream sauce that had a beautiful spice to it. The main ingredients are pride, passion, n teamwork, which is obvious in the food. A must try in my book. I very seldom give 5 stars but Lucca's has earned the 5 stars easily. Thank you to the chef and his team for making a great memorable evening with my mother for dinner. I haven't tipped the kitchen staff n am a very hard person to earn a tip from period but I had to tip everyone. I will be back.

Fantastic place! Service was amazing and the food was phenomenal. Their staff has been with them for a long time, which is incredible in the service industry. They have really nailed down their niche and it's worth trying again and again.

For the past 25 years we've dined at Lucca's for our birthdays and anniversaries. It's the place we take out of town visitors for dinner when the visit. It's pretty darned good. 👍

Service was great, but the food was a disappointment. Potato came from a box & the shrimp tasted old, we couldn’t even eat it. The cleanliness of the kitchen was also not what we expected for a place with such high reviews.

So good. I didn't eat in the dining room but it looked very cozy and pleasant. The gentleman that grabbed my order for me was warm and welcoming. He checked everything and made sure I had my complete order which was very appreciated! Will definitely go back anytime I'm in Helena.

Great place for a nice, fancy evening dinner. Service was absolutely top notch, as it should be for a nice formal dinner. Food was phenomenal and plenty in portion size. Atmosphere is quite classy, a good choice to celebrate something special. It's a little too expensive for us to go frequently but will absolutely turn to this place to celebrate our special events! My one and only very small complaint is that they were out of Proper 12 whiskey and were replacing it with Bushmills.

Restaurant is located in a old part of city. Good location and restaurant atmosphere is pleasant and clean. Service was excellent and friendly. We did like food and my favorite was salad 🥗😀. I wish cook 👩‍🍳 cover his or their heads 👨‍🍳 when they cook meals 😀

Second time coming here and I'm so impressed. You get a delicious salad and a load of bread with two sauces before the main course. I got the rosemary garlic chicken and it was SO flavorful. Will be coming back.

What an excellent spot to pick on our way through Helena yesterday evening! As you can see from the pictures, the food was amazing, and although I didn't picture the old world decor it was fabulous as well. This place gave me the classic, friendly, relaxed vibe with a not overbearing but welcome class that I always seek in Montana for a night out. For drinks we had Lucca's fizz and Bauna Sola, as well as a glass each of the Gramercy Syrah. Appetizer was Deviled Crab Stuffed Cherry Poppers, and Entrées were a perfectly cooked walleye with pasta and Pan Seared Scallops and Shrimp with Angel hair pasta in a white cream sauce. My experience the whole way through was amazing, and everything was done with the perfect touch of class. I definitely recommend this place as a hidden gem, and was told as much by all of the people around me who said it is their favorite place to eat in Helena, MT. I love it when I get lucky on my choice, and this dinner and hot springs date up the road at Broadwater Hot Springs was absolutely perfect 👍👍🙌👌

Make a reservation cause they don't have a lot of seats and they are very popular. An authentic, non-franchise feel combined with limited seating makes for a memorable experience

Food was top notch. The setting was serene. The ambiance was friendly. The best part we’re the owners and staff. This family run operation is a town staple. The owners did everything possible to accommodate my girlfriend and me. The staff was amazing and you can tell the owners really care for their team and it meshes perfectly. I am grateful to have dined with such fabulous people and received an awesome slice of Helena hospitality

We took our visiting relatives to Lucca's for dinner. They paid Lucca's a fitting compliment, they said, that Lucca's wasn't just a great Montana restaurant, it would fit in well in both their hometowns, Denver and Chicago.

Amazing food! Amazing service! Great atmosphere! Perfection!

The bread was cold and probably a day old. My gnocchi was room temperature and everything was seriously overpriced. The wine list was alright but our bottle of dolcetto was also room temperature. The flavors were good enough and I think there is potential, but goodness they need some competition to keep things a bit more honest.

This is a wonderful dining experience I highly suggest it. if you're a foodie like myself even if you haven't spent 15 years in the business you will enjoy it

Went for Valentines yesterday and honestly the best Italian restaurant in Montana - the service was excellent the food was beyond delicious .I wish I can give them more than a 5 star . Our waitress was so sweet and made our experience really great . Will definitely be returning back and would recommend anyone who really enjoys authentic Italian food to visit :)
