They are awesome, kind, helpful, available, everything you would want. The food was spectacular; absolutely delicious with excellent proportions, perfectly delivered and delicious. The ambience is old world wonderful, cozy, clean, stone walls and handhewn beans, I just love it. We had an amazing meal; thank you as always! 12/2022 we came for lunch with family; everything was absolutely delicious; excellent portions, terrific service! 09/2019: Fabulous food, excellent service; absolutely the best! Tuna Tartare is amazing, hamburgers are fantastic, Endive Salad so delicious, flank steak is so good; great portions. Even with Covid regulations they never missed a beat; it's still an excellent dining experience. We love eating at Luc's!

Definitely my favorite place in town! The food, atmosphere, service - all are top notch. It's the only place I know of in Ridgefield that friends from towns over trek to. I am not alone in choosing this restaurant to celebration occasions big and small. Is great for date night or larger groups. My go-to's are the escargot, steak frites, and salmon. Wine list is wonderful as well!

What a lovely meal. We were in town (for the first time, actually) for a show, and picked Luc's because of the great word of mouth it has. We were not disappointed. Classic bistro menu, all very well prepared. Perfectly done sole and duck confit, two salads, and a creme brûlée. Great, inexpensive wine list and excellent service. It was LOUD in the room, and the tables were a bit tight, but that added to the cham. We'll be back for sure.

Best steak I had had in a long time . I got the Rockefeller cheese sauce steak. It was delicious. We also ordered chicken with mash potatoes, a Luc’s burger for the burger lover teen I have and Steak tartar for the raw food lover other teen. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the environment so good that we decided to go for a small dessert and a nice cup of grand marnier to close the meal.

Lovely French cafe in Ridgefield, CT. They even have outdoor seating, and do a small Bastille Day celebration annually. We enjoyed the duck confit, cocktails, and a duck special. We will have to return for the escargot! The owner seems quite nice and the staff are very attentive.

What happened to the food? new soux chef? It's always been too loud, and the wait staff and drinks are still good, but the food is unrecognizable now. Asparagus soup was flavorless, and the charcuterie board was solid salt and grease. Too bad that these simple chef's creations have gone downhill.

What happened to your sole, Luc? When we discovered Luc’s two years ago, I felt like we were in France. The sole was perfect! Last night it was a soggy fish stick. My son had the steak frites and it was still good. Hope that doesn’t turn into a Swanson’s dinner. On a good note, the waitress was lovely. Her name must have been Cinderella.

My second time around at this restaurant: sooo much better!! A year ago I titled my review “ Too loud” because the music was so loud I couldn’t here my friend talking….. Last week was very different : we enjoyed delicious food and the atmosphere and service were great. And: no loud music….. Bravo!

Last weekend, I went to Luc's for lunch with a friend. We were stuffed into a little corner table, and the two other tables next to us were quickly filled, even though the restaurant was empty. We were all basically sitting at the same table. I asked to be moved because I was literally 2 feet away from the person next to me that I didn't even know. I was told that the restaurant was going to fill up soon anyway but was given a table with some space around it. We got the lunch and I thought it was skimpy and mostly bread and mayonnaise of a sandwich. The biggest problem is after about two minutes after we payed the bill and gave her a tip we were told we needed to leave the table for a reservation and to finish our conversation somewhere else. I worked in restaurants when I was younger and was always told to never do that unless the restaurant was closing. I don't plan on returning.

It's just an amazing place. We go to Luc's Cafe about once a month. The food is great and so is the atmosphere and service. There are a couple of downsides that I would like to mention just because they can be improved 1. They don't take reservations, and sometimes we just avoid it because the wait is too long 2. They need a new audio system. The sound quality was poor last time. It sounded like shrieking. Please get a new system, you make enough money.

Wonderful, authentic French restaurant, hiding away in the middle of Ridgefield. One needs a reservation; it's super-popular with locals - the night we were there, it seemed all of Ridgefield was there! Great French classics, with the Mussels being particularly popular. I had the Chicken which was excellent. One, very minor, nit...... The wine list needs an overhaul. Not enough choices when the food is this good. And, always finish on a high, the service was outstanding.

I am the most positive person, but this was just a bad lunch experience all around: - for starters, we got a complimentary tiny bowl with 4 of the tinies olives in it. This generosity made me laugh out loud! (Because I was still in a good mood...) - my Sole Amandine was sitting in a pool of butter sauce, soggy, unhealthy, bad looking, yet tasty - too bad, I should have left it! - the accompanying rather small side of wilted green beans didn't help either, floating in the same pool of butter - the side of French fries, which also came in the tiniest of containers, was the true appetite killer: luke warm, soft and disgusting; I sent it back, and when the waiter came back with the new fries he simply slammed it on the table without even slowing his stride. Hmm, rude? -...and the piece de resistance? A check with an extra $29 added for wine we did not order - when I complained the waiter didn't even flinch, or apologize, shrugged it off saying "we'll just take it off the bill". Whaa'? Is this standard procedure at Luc's?? Needless to say Luc's is off of our list, you might want to scratch it, too!

Our first time nice ambient and unpretentious. Good selections to choose, excellent service and food. We need to go back.

This restaurant is more Parisian than many of the restaurants I visited in Paris. The owner greets you every time and he’s the most authentic thing about this place. If you want to feel like you’re at a cafe off a side street of Champs-Elysees, you should go here for an hour and forget the rest of the world exists.

Waited to get a table for 35 minutes, once we got seated two guest who came after us, got their service first, we had to call the waiter for service. Got the bread without the bread plates. I think the issue was our waiter not the owner, I had to mention it to the owner for him to go to the kitchen to get our food.

Wonderful French Bistro! If I close my eyes I can imagine I’m in a cafe in Paris. Everything we ordered from the charcuterie, pâté, moules marinières, to the Steak au poivre, was excellent. I love this place and highly recommend if you’re looking for great French cuisine.

Luc’a has an inviting ambiance. More than that, the service is impeccable, and the menu selection is varied and delicious. My wife, on her birthday, had a wonderful trout and I had a French Moroccan seasoned lamb. The desserts and the appetizers offered ranged from traditional French onion soup, to escargots , to our choice , a wonderful goat cheese and field green salad. The wine selection is fair prices as were the entrees. You can’t go wrong here !

The food was good, service prompt. We were seated at a cocktail table in the bar area, the table was severely undersized for what we ordered. It was not comfortable for dinner, a sandwich maybe. Everything was fantastic! I went with my boyfriend for my birthday and we couldn't have been happier. We sat down just after 5 o'clock and good thing we did! By 5:30 they were packed (for good reason!). All the food was fantastic, I got the hot salmon dish and my partner got the rack of lamb. Both were delicious and came out quickly after we finished our charcuterie appetizer. The creme brulee was a perfect finisher. Luc's is a fun French bistro in the lower half of a building in Ridgefield. The ceiling beams are low and the stone foundation walls are visible. Very quaint. Food is excellent.
