Excellent food, great ambiance and good service. The owners are hard at work. The pizza selection is amazing. We have been there three time so far.

We have driven past Luna many times, but never had the opportunity to stop. An Old York Cellars wine tasting at Luna gave us a reason to go. The wine was great and well presented by Anthony from OYC. The small bites matched to each wine were fantastic. Especially the Italian Sushi. After the tasting was over, we went for a Luna pizza. Absolutely delicious! The crust is just the way we like it, but the flavor from each bite took us by surprise. Highly recommend a visit to Luna. Don’t drive by!

Great spot with tons of character and a great story. The food is unique, fresh and delicately prepped. The atmosphere was fun, it was full but not crowded feeling.

The Pizza itself is not bad for an electric oven. The meatballs were dry and not that great. They try to make neapolitan style pies but the result is not that good. The real issue is the service: they clearly had many takeout orders, but they prioritized them to the people that were dining in. We arrived at 6 pm and it took over an hour, after insisting, to have two simple pies arrive at the table, while tens of pies were cooked for take-out orders. The same happened to the other customers, that waited even longer.

This place is absolutely amazing! We booked them to host our engagement party and everything was super easy and seamless. The owner assisted us in setting up, they made the food and pizzas fresh for us. The ambiance is amazing and the food is DELICIOUS! We are very picky about our pizza but they fully exceeded our expectations. We had such an amazing time and will continue to go to this place. Thank you all for hosting our event we loved it all! PS. the variety and specials they offer is unmatched!

Went in for an event, ordered a buffalo chicken pizza but unfortunately they were sold out, but was recommended the meatball, and glad i did! The meatballs were so flavorful, pizza was perfect. Very kind team behind the counter!

Great pizza, Owner delightful and very friendly and aims to please.

Attentive and accommodating staff. Authentic compact Italian Pizza Oven (cooks at very high temperatures). They throw the dough in the oven first (without the toppings) for less than a minute. Then pull it out, add cheese and toppings, and put it back in the oven briefly. Their process eliminates the soggy dough feeling under the toppings. Excellent craftsmanship!

We had such a letdown with our food last night. Half of the pizzas we ordered had a substantial 2-4 inches of dry crust at the end, leaving us quite disappointed. The margarita pie was particularly disappointing, as half of the slices had no cheese or basil, essentially consisting of just sauce spread over the crust. Considering the price was over $20 for each pie, which were already on the smaller side, we had hoped for more generous toppings instead of just an abundance of crust. We can't help but reminisce about the old owners and the delicious pies they used to serve.

The BEST crispy yet soft on the inside with the perfect amount of sauce vs. cheese vs. toppings I've had hands down. We ate like royalty. I literally said, "If Gordon Ramsey still did incognito stops, he needs to try this!". Amazing. We had 4 different pies to feed a hungry family. 8. Each pie is unique and perfect! The Buffalo, the Hot honey, the margarita, and their very own Luna pizza! I can't tell you which was my favorite, because they simply all where! I'm going back to try more! I think the Nutella one is a next try. Ummmmmmm... The owner was lovely. He was good people and always concerned about how much we were enjoying. This place is a must goooooo!

Central Jerseys best kept secret. Unbelievable. The dough is imported from Italy. You feel like your at home when you dine here as well. The hot honey pie and the Luna Pie...delicioso!

Love coming here with my family! Every time I have been here the owners and staff are always very welcoming. The pizza is out of this world, it’s as if I’m in Italy again!

First off, the pizza here is truly exceptional. I love crusts that are crispy and a bit charred on the outside, but with a bready bite inside. The topping combinations are very unique and the pizzas that are served with spicy honey are the most interesting I've had in NJ. The problem, however, is the wait time to get served. It seems their oven can only accommodate one to two pizzas at a time. If the modest dining room is full and the take out business is bustling, be prepared to wait up to two hours to be served. Customers can become visibly agitated and some eventually leave the restaurant. This is also not a NJ "pizza place" in the traditional sense. It is instead more of a family dining room that serves pizza on its own schedule. But beyond the great pizza, the menu is extremely limited. There are no cheesesteaks or mozzarella sticks to be had. Even their appetizers require the use of the limited pizza oven, as they include garlic bread that is a half-pizza crust with oven roasted garlic and olive oil. Delicious, but it will still put you in the "pizza cue." The few times I've been there, I've arrived hungry, gotten angry, and left happy because the food was so good. But I also live 5 minutes away and have only eaten here a handful of times in the decade plus that they've been opened, largely because you have to be in the right mood to wait. If you have any kind of time pressure, or have something else to do in the evening, it is hard to justify the glacial pace of service. If, however, you have an evening of leisure and are looking for a relaxed culinary journey, this can be a good option if you are within a 15 minute drive.

Never had a better pizza than the bacon pizza

I ordered an Americana pizza. The size of the pizza was not listed on the website. A small pizza arrived that could only feed one person. It was cold, burnt and our New Year's Eve was totally ruined because we were going to all have pizza and we were left with a burnt cold pizza. Call the store to give them the disappointing feedback and no one answered.

The atmosphere is charming. Not gaudy, not minimalistic. Just the right amount of quality where needed to be quaint, and nothing more. Ex: unique water pitchers and drinkware juxtaposed with plain paper napkins. The garlic bread was a welcomed surprise. A basket with crispy Italian bread? Oh no my friends, a Neopolitan pie with just the basics: olive oil, garlic and deliciousness. A quick perusal of the entree menu immediately makes you wish you had 2 stomach's for which to enjoy the multitude of opportunities. I landed on the Gabagool. After one bite of the garlic, artichoke, mozzarella and 'gabagool' and I realized I had miscalculated, I need 3 stomachs. The flavors dance in your mouth like Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. The crust is perfectly thin until the back end, where the transition to the crust resembles the western plains peering up at the Mighty Rocky Mountains. And the crust, at the same time both crispy and fluffy. Amazing! Will I go back; most definitely. Will I take the kids; you got a better chance of seeing Santa Claus. Reco: 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

A family and friend favorite! A wonderful family run business. The caesar salad, meatball app and ALL their pizzas are absolutely delicious! Try them all. Too many favorites to list but some are the truffle, sweetheart, pesto with sausage, PBH and meatball are so delicious. The crust is extra yummy. Paul and his family have created this restaurant with love and it is so cozy and enjoyable. Porch dining is also available and BYOB. We keep bringing more friends and family to enjoy this great gem.

Excellent personal pan pizza sizes. A little pricey for what it is but the quality has been exceptional every time I've taken out.

tonight was our first time there and it was outstanding !! we had the Caesar salad which was fresh the dressing was homemade we had fresh mozzarella and tomato drizzle with basil and the meatball pizza was awesome the crust was awesome and had that wood-burning oven taste bto it and my husband had the Stromboli and it was excellent definitely will be back and you definitely should try it an its a byob ! an the waitress was really good an a pleasure to talk to !

Visited Luna Pizza with my family and the food is absolutely delicious! We got the truffle, margherita, and pesto pies as well as the Caesar salad - all were amazing and the crust (a crucial determinant of great pizza) was sooo yummy with a perfect crunch and chewy ratio. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so cozy, and the owner Paul was super kind and friendly. Will definitely be going again!

Today was the first time visiting Luna. The updated interior is beautiful. The owner and staff are very friendly. We had the Americano and Truffle pizzas. Both were fantastic. Don't forget the Nutella pizza for dessert! My daughter and I like to try all types of pizzas around the state. This is now our favorite.

My family and I went here for the first time yesterday and I already can’t wait to come back! The pizza was so delicious. We got one meatball pie and one truffle - my family loved both. We came just expecting to get pizza for lunch but since the menu looked so good, we ended up getting appetizers and dessert too. The meatballs and garlic bread were delicious and we also decided to try the Nutella pizza - so good! The atmosphere was so nice and the owner Paul was very kind and welcoming. If you’re a fan of pizza alla napoletana, then Luna is your place. Location is small and relaxed. It’s located off the beaten path. They’re opened only three nights a week. Pizza is fantastic! They use all natural ingredients, the majority from the Naples area. Crust is perfect; tomatoes are sweet and cheese just is not oily. Oven is also from Italy. Owners are extremely pleasant and sociable. Best pizza in New Jersey!!!

Came across Luna’s by accident trying to meet up with a couple of friends for a Christmas party. I was starving and decided to go in for a slice. They don’t do slices but they do phenomenal personal pizzas. I got the margarita which was fantastic. Thin crust at its best! Staff was very friendly and prices were good.

Classic Neapolitan pizza. Best pie in town. The owners always make us feel welcome. We will be back next week.

Outstanding Pizza and the best bread and meatballs around.

This is - as their sign says - authentic Neapolitan pizza.  There are many attributes of this style pizza, the two that come it mind are a crust that puffs up around the edge [often charred] and is so thin it is impossible to pick up, and fresh tomatoes [rather than sauce].  And this is what you get at Luna.  And its a pleasure to eat.  But be warned, it is not the style of pizza you get in 90% of the pizza joints in the NJ/NY area.

The absolute best pizza I have ever eaten. The people who own the place are extremely nice and the service of the staff was excellent. Will be back. And do recommend.

Literally the best pizza on the face of the earth. I sometimes have dreams about the fig and prosciutto pizza they have. Everything they make is so fresh and made with authentic italian ingredients, you forget that you are not actually in Italy when you sit in this local gem. The staff is so friendly and homey, they make everyone feel like family. This restaurant is a little far out of my way but I never mind taking the trip to indulge in the greatness of Luna’s.

The owners are great folks who make great food. You can taste the passion and effort they put into the creation of Neapolitan style pizza. They go so far as to use the best "00" flour from Italy to form their crust.

I've been to Luna multiple times, and every time it gets better and better! The owners, Frank and Jeanette, are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the creation of their pizza, from the dough all the way to the authentic Italian oven in the kitchen. The wait staff is very helpful, and each time has given me a solid recommendation for a different pizza to try, which never seems to disappoint. My personal favorites are the classic Americana pie or the broccoli rabe & sausage pie (I'd also recommend the nutella pie for dessert too). The environment is always welcoming and they often times have live music on Friday nights, which is a plus! Put it all together, and you have a great little family-owned place, with awesome food, friendly service, and, oh wait, did I mention it's BYOB too? Yeah, this place rocks. (pic is of American pie)

We've been here a number of times in the past year, and every time is fantastic. The owners are great, so friendly and welcoming. The place is small and cozy, nothing fancy, but great for families (they have a great pizza toy that our son loves), or for meeting friends (it's a BYO).

Their T-shirts say, “save the airfare, eat at Luna” and this is true. My wife and I have been to Italy multiple times and we love the food and pizza in Rome and Milan. We love this restaurant, it’s not typical American pizza, it’s authentic Italian pizza. They use imported ingredients. It’s a quaint, beautiful, home town location in a historic building near the railroad tracks where we frequently bring our large family, and out-of-town guests to sit at the long tables, family style. We also get take out when we’re eating at home, been eating at Luna’s for years, and many more to come. Congrats on the 10 year anniversary Luna’s!

You know those super famous Michelin star pizzerias in like NYC? Yea this is one of those but without the outrageous prices and way better staff and owners. It really is the best pizza I have ever eaten. Mark your calendars for the live music night(s)!!! In order to really be one of those NYC restaurants they just need to put together a $50 pie with truffle and gold 😉. But who needs truffle and gold flakes when you can have a pie from Luna's!!! But in all seriousness; truly amazing restaurant. And for whoever said they aren't a "real pizzeria" for not having calamari, Luna's does not serve a dish unless it's the best it can possibly be. The menu is smaller than most pizzerias, but that's because instead of having 50 mediocre dishes they have like 20 amazing dishes. I have yet to be dissapppointed here. P.S. Always check the whiteboard for the day's specials. I get the Prosciutto-Fig pie every single time they have it available.

Luna is owned by a terrific family, who makes you feel like you are part of it. The Neapolitan style pizza is outstanding with a perfect crust and high quality ingredients. They threw this eggplant pie together even though it's not on the regular menu.

This restaurant feels like you are eating in an Italian family's living room. Through the front doors, you will find the perfect date night or family dining atmosphere with lovely interior decorations and authentic, delicious food. It gets even better as the restaurant is BYOB, so you can enjoy a bottle of Italian red while you dine at one of New Jersey's best-kept secrets. My girlfriend and I decided on the Margherita and the Marinara pizzas. These authentic Neopolitan pizzas are made with the freshest ingredients which is plainly evident in every bite. Both pies were perfectly crisp with a charred, but fluffy crust. The Marinara pie, despite having no cheese was full of flavor with a nice, tangy tomato sauce, delicious garlic, and quality olive oil. It was by far the best cheeseless pizza I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The Margherita was everything I desired in that style pie. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the cheese was delicious and milky with a good ratio to the sauce, and the crust and base were cooked to perfection. This next point isn't pizza-related, but the cannolis are also the best I've ever encountered at any restaurant. They had the perfect taste and were overflowing with delicious filling. All I can say is: clear your next available Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night and prepare for a date with some of the best pizza in New Jersey.

My husband and I have been going to Luna for our date nights ever since we started dating. The pizza is phenomenal. Our favorites are the margherita, pesto, and diavola pizzas. This weekend, we used Luna as the venue for our rehearsal dinner before our wedding, and we couldn't be happier! The owners are so friendly and accommodating, we LOVE their space, and we hope to go there on our date nights FAR into the future! :D Thanks so much Luna owners and staff!!!

Best Pizza I've had in years!!!!!! Stopped here at on my way home with the kids, dough was perfectly baked in brick oven pizza, sauce was fresh light and tasty and cheese was high quality and the perfect amount. Texture was perfect...Crispy on the outside but still soft, thin and fresh with each bite. Finally my kids could taste what a pizza should taste like. Great friendly staff. Cozy homey atmosphere. High quality ingredients make a huge difference and these owners,without a doubt, know their way around a pizza.

The staff was very welcoming. We tried 3 different pizzas and all were delicious. Ended with some gelato and canolis for a perfect dinner. Can't wait to go back!

We came here after walking and driving past there for years. It is so delicious! We had 5 of us, 2 salads to start with and 2 pizzas and took another one home! You could taste the fresh ingredients and awesome flavor with every bite. This is the closest place to the house now and it is going to be our go to place. Thank you Luna!!
