Absolutely 1000% hands down the best tacos 🌮, service & beer I've ever had in VA beach! The owner is a phenomenal chef ! Amazing. His sauces for his tacos & pokes....outstanding! So much care is put into his dishes. Darrel? Our barkeep, a great, great guy! On point with his suggestions, cleanliness & timing. Such a good person. Can't wait to go back again! I'll be traveling states away just to eat, drink & hangout there!

This place is a small bar with a big heart. The staff are helpful and friendly, the punters are just as good 😊. A local place with a local atmosphere. Food on Friday's is fantastic at a really reasonable price. Pop in and say hello.

If you're looking for a reasonable neighborhood bar it fits the bill. The handles were a bit light but the cooler selection made up for it. We didn't eat so I can't rate the food.

Lovely pub atmosphere, warm and cozy with good music on the jukebox and a friendly, helpful bartender.

As beer bars go in this area lynnhaven pub is honestly such a treat. The beer selection is enormous. The atmosphere while small is very inviting. And honestly it took me about thirty seconds to feel like I was home. I will definitely back sooner than later. I'm very blessed that a coworker showed me this fantastic bar!

The bartender Darrell is the best! I walked to the Lynnhaven Pub from Ballyhoos and my feet were hurting. Darrell jumped in and gave me the best foot massage of my life! He even took me into his home when I needed a place to stay. Rob is also awesome, he makes the best tacos in Virginia and is a great kisser! Sam is ok.

If you're the type of person who craves the coziness of a hidden gem, hole-in-the-wall local pub then this is your place. The food is great. They even make and bake their own bread, make their own sauces, and smoke their own brisket and pork! The (canned/bottled) beer selection is amazing. Best of all is the magician behind the bar: Darrell. He knows his beer, cooks the food, and serves like a gourmet chef! A true wunderkind who provides 5-star service!

One of the best places I’ve been in years. Great food and drinks and the bartender Sam helped change my flat tire while it was snowing.

Darrel the bartender picks his nose all the time but we love him anyway! It’s salty in the best way, high quality snot 👌there was a weird Crazy Cat Lady selling pickled mushrooms with her husband that looked like he just got out of prison. Looks like a Jon! “PRISON JON” i think

This is a very relaxed atmosphere. Billiards, a juke box, and some really good food. This is a beer and wine bar.

This place is small and unusual but a great place off the beaten path. Love it.

The food is amazing and the portions are great! I always stop here when I am in town. They have a large beer selection. If you are in to dive bars, I highly recommend checking it out.

They accommodate dogs! They had zero customers when we arrived and I didn't know why. We sat down and the gentleman brought out water for our dogs. We ordered our food......and it was AWESOME!!!!! They smoke their own meats, portions are desirable, and price was on point. Anyone skipping this small hole in the wall deserves it. If I'm back in this area again I'll make this my stop. 5 stars all day long.

In town from Texas for a beach wedding, came across this little local dive bar for a quick beer. Wow the sandwiches were awesome!! So was the beer and selection. Darryl was super nice and knowledgeable fun to spend time with. We came back the next day for lunch again !

Went here a while ago and forgot to post a review. The location itself is a little off the road, but once you find the bar, it's a very "hole in the wall" vibe and I love it. At the time they didn't have their VA liquor license so they only had spirits (beer, wine, etc etc) and no hard liquor but they were getting it back. Vibe is great, energy is appropriate, and I'll definitely try them again when I find the time!

A true pub with tons of character (and characters). Definitely “salt of the earth”/ eclectic mix of customers. So if your looking for dinner with the family, etc. would not recommend:) Excellent beer selection, music, and bartenders. Also good food. Love the place.

This establishment is easily one of our favorite places to go. The food is beyond excellent and never ceases to amaze us. Bartenders are both very nice and personable and the owner is often onsite and very involved in the success of the business. I often recommend to others and have brought coworkers here to enjoy. Hidden gem 💎.

This place is the super secret place you never heard about and... Honestly... I really don't want to tell you about buuuuuuuut... I will. Beer fridge is crazy stocked with a plethora of anything from IPAs ciders to seltzers. Daryl runs the place and he absolutely crushes it. The tacos will absolutely blow your mind... There's more I can tell you but you'll just have to come here to figure it out yourself cuz I've already told you too much...

The food here is absolutely amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had one of the tacos. They were both amazing! The portions were good size and the price of the food were very affordable. We had two meals and two drinks and it was only $33. Definitely will be coming back!

Good food and a great atmosphere

Personally, finding this place on Google, great dive bar. They make their own bread, brisket, and combine them with ingredients you never expected considering the reputation. The staff is friendly and inviting if you come more than once. Ok, the second time your a regular. The beer selection is extensive. Typically, the bar staff is beyond knowledgeable based on your taste. Anyone looking for a place interested in a small menu poised around in house made bread, brisket, chicken, and still considered a dive.... Prove me wrong Definitely a place with zero pretentiousness...

Would never think it but awesome food

Great beer selection and a cool atmosphere.

Daytime weekday is different than nighttime I think.... If you're new to this place know two things: it's a salt of the earth kinda folk hanging out during the weekdays I guess, and the brisket is worthy. I'm not easily offended by lewd, crude and all-around harmless bawdiness, but you might be. Ate the brisket sandwich and the meat is delicious, though just a tad on the dry side. Will return to once again listen to the salty dogs howl, and drink from a very nice bottled beer selection, and eat some more brisket! My gal tells me her cocktails were favorably "light on the heavy." Excellent service!

Chill spot, not too crowded. Decent prices

Took a date in on a Wednesday for lunch. The bartender was a guy with a skin-head and Old-Testament beard, talking to his buddies at the end of the bar. He slooooowly worked his way over to us. He didn't know much about the beer, didn't know much about the menu, didn't much care if we left or stayed. We had one drink, and left.

This is a great bar to grab a bite and relax for a couple beverages. The bartenders do a great job making sure you have what you need. The owner, Rob, has done a great job keeping the menu updated with great selections of smoked meat. Best dive bar in Virginia Beach!

Dude. This place has beer. Good beer. Like, beer you can't find in other bars. And the owner makes his own bread. I love this place. Serious review, Lynnhaven Pub is a must stop if you enjoy good beer, friendly people and a small venue. Visit and you will not be disappointed.

This was a great find. Clearly a locals pub. Zach was a one man show when we were there, bartender, food prep & server, as well as the one smoking the meat outside. You have to speak up and ask for a menu, and you won't see a kitchen, but the BBQ pork and beef brisket were fabulous!

Don't sleep on this place. Great beer and great food that's all made in house, even the bread

This place is outta this world. The beer selection is outrageous. The food is to die for. I got the brisket blt and I HAD to save half for the next day cause I couldn’t fathom it being gone. The people were very pleasant. I definitely found my new spot

Definitely a place with it's own style. For it's size it has a great beer selection and reasonable prices. Everything seems to be made in house besides the chips and they are good too. If you want a large portion of great food with a drink selection you can afford anywhere else, this is your place.

Read the reviews on tripadvisor before coming. Was expecting more than a hole in the wall, but needless to say the food was pretty good! Would be better if it had an option of fries or salad as a side for a sandwich, but for the price you can’t complain! Home made bread was good, just a little dry. Would have helped if waitress would have asked if we needed anything between the time we got the food and asked for the ticket, since I would have loved some mayo to help with the dryness. Over all good food for the price.
