They are very friendly. I love their media noche - a smaller version of their Cuban, and my husband loves their Cuban. FYI I've never been a Cuban sandwich person, but this place is the exception, 😊 We also love their maduros, tostones, empanada de carne, and papa relleno.

Best Cuban food around. Very friendly. I would note Not Just Cash only service. I used credit without issues. Also, has on the spot catering for a birthday for a co-worker because another restaurant got our office order done for the wrong day. M&G Cuban Cafe has Excellent food and service!

The woman the runs it is so nice, I was so hungry after the beach I ate a chicken empanada immediately and it was delicious! Local gem from what I’ve read and definitely worth the time!

Ordered 1 Cuban, 1 media noche sandwiches and a café con Leche. All tasted delicious especially the Cuban. Service was great as was clean appearance of the establishment.

One of the best Cuban Sandwiches you can get in Florida ! I grew up in key west 1977-1993, which has many a cuban restaurant or sandwich shop , have had cuban sandwiches in Miami, Ft Lauderdale, and lived in Tampa for 20 years. I can say M&G has the most memorable of them all !

Oh. My. Gosh. We were in town for a reggae festival and this was close to our airbnb. I am Dominican and my partner is American and we both LOVED everything. Ham croquetas were excellent. I had a cortadito (sweet) and my partner had a Cafe con Leche. This place is authentic, people will walk in speaking Spanish to the woman at the counter like they have known her for years. This is an authentic cuban cafeteria. We are looking forward to our next visit to St. Pete to see them again! You should come too - you will not regret it!

This may be the best Cuban sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. It was $9. Service was very friendly. A little Cuban coffee at the end was also excellent.

Excellent food and service. We were down in St. Pete for a conference and found this little spot when looking for a croquette sandwich. It was so good and authentic that we returned again for lunch another day. Egg sandwich, cuban, croquette sandwich, cafe con leche… all amazing. And service was quick and very friendly. Humble little Cuban spot with excellent food. Highly recommend!

Not a true cuban bakery. They don't toast whole cuban bread with butter or have packs of croquettes. By the way, I NEVER said it was but that doesn't mean you can't serve whole cuban breads with butter and have packs of croquettes.

We used to think that Seminole Subs had the best Cubans in Pinellas County. That was before we came here. Wife & MIL got Cubans (best in county). I tried the trio of meat over rice & black beans. Everything from the food to the service was AWESOME. BEST CUBANS IN THE PINELLAS COUNTY!!!! Only issue is they are cash only and only open till 2 pm.

Food is really good ! Authentic Cuban flavors ! But this place has 2 cons . 1- only cash 2- never opens at 8am like the sign at the door says . I've been there twice in the m0rning an ended up leaving passed 8:15

AUTHENTIC CUBAN FOOD. Poe favor people if you want to know what real Cuban food tastes like come here. The first bite of an empanada de carne (meat) transported me to my childhood visits to Miami to visit my Cuban relatives. Then a taste of the black beans - at Dios mío- a taste of the Cuba of my family. Now the true test - Cuban sandwich - yup the real deal. A real diamond of a place!

Breakfast and coffee are delicious!I make it a point to come by anytime I have a day off or extra time in the morning to get some empanadas as well! You won’t regret it.

Dropped my son off at school and decided to treat my wife with something better than the same old Freys. Looked up this place and was excited for a cuban breakfast sandwich and coffee. I saw they're cash only on their webpage, that's annoying but I went to an ATM. It's 8:05 on a Tuesday and their webpage and the sign on their door say they should be open, but they're not. Thanks for wasting my morning! In response to the owner's reply- I walked up at 8:05 and the door was locked. I went back to my car, which I'd parked around the side of the building, and pulled it up in front of the business to wait a bit and see if it opened. I also called the business, but no one answered. After 5 more minutes I saw zero activity (no one opened the door, went in, turned around or lit up an 'Open' sign, turned on lights inside the business that were visible from outside, etc) and at 8:10 or so I left.

The Cuban Espresso was on point!! Wish they had a better breakfast selection, but I think they’re open early to draw the lunch crowd. I ended up having a beef empanada which was pretty good. Authentic Cuban establishment.

One of the best Cuban restaurants in Tampa! The owner treated us like family. We knew the sandwiches were going to be good as soon as we seen how he spoke to everyone and us! And sure enough!! The sandwiches hit the spot! My mom is picky with her cafe con leche (bien clarito) Jajaja and he made it just the way she liked it! Thank you! We plan on coming back next time we’re in from Chicago!

When our fav Cuban breakfast spot closed in Tampa la Ideal, we had to find cafe con leche on this side of the bridge, I called M&G and Roberto from Miami said he is the King of cafe con leche, and he did not disappoint! The espuma was thick n creamy, and the drink itself was luscious! We like 2 eggs over easy on top of our tamales, Cuban toast and Cholula hot sauce. So Yummy! And so much closer to home! 10 min. away. We were some happy Gringos!!

M&G is my go to place when I need to feed a lot of people. One of my co-workers just celebrated a 10 year work anniversary and I picked up a tray of roast pork, black beans and rice, and plantains for a company lunch to celebrate. Every single person said it was the BEST roast pork they have ever had.

Food was absolutely delicious! The sandwiches were fantastic and the cafe con leche was phenomenal!! Will definitely be back for the inexpensive, good food and outstanding service.

Woman behind counter acted like she was doing me a favor by waiting on me, Ask me in a very flat tone voice what do you want no smile no greeting no hello, Honestly I have had better pressed Cubans from 711, Sandwich was very Bland, Sandwich was like lady behind the counter find the counter boring and bland. Try another Cuban sandwich shop this 1 this 1 is a waste of time and money.

I have been visiting M& G for year's, and their sandwiches and food has always been delicious. You might find the price to be a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Their sandwiches are huge, and always fresh made at the time you place the order.
