We was looking for a place for breakfast that was open before 7:30am. Found this little cafe that we could tell that is a busy place the locals go to. The food was outstanding, service was awesome and the local customers are friendly also.

I forgot to take a picture of the food/coffee, it was that good. Their bagel w/ tomato/garlic cream cheese and their veggie quesadilla are yummy.

A surprisingly adorable little coffee shop with a nice espresso bar and great selection of food. This will definitely be a regular stop for us on our way to and from the whites!

Can’t get 5 stars if you don’t have decent vegan options for breakfast. Your home fries are cooked in bacon fat. But the coffee is superb. On

Quiet, little quaint place. There were some high top tables, small tables and couches with coffee tables. You choose where you sit. The service was great. You order what you want, get your seat and when your food is ready they bring it to you. They have good sandwiches, soups and pastries. I love the squash soup.

This place deserves all five stars and more. Food is delicious, coffee is about as fresh as you can get, roasted right there. A changing breakfast special sandwich makes it an exciting place to stop on the way and be able to try something different each morning.

At 2PM on a Sunday this place had a revolving door with customers and after tasting their coffee you'll know why. Delicious coffee and highly recommend the espresso cube. Iced lattes and coffee won't get water downed. Make it a point to swing by and try this little gem in the White Mountains. After a day of hiking this latte was a treat. Baristas are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs here chatting and getting along. Positive vibes.

Great coffee roasters with many food options. This place is really Family friendly, specially for ones with tiny humans. You’ll have a wide variety of drip coffee options, from dark to light roast blends and single origins.

Awesome coffee shop right of Exit 28 (rt. 93) in Campton, NH. This place is what you think of when you want a cozy, relaxing, yet popular coffee shop with that indie roaster feel. Speaking of 'indie roaster', yes, they roast their coffee right there. You can get a delish cup of coffee, or buy beans or ground. And I should mention... Good selection of baked pastries AND sandwiches and soups. We stop by this place almost every time we're in this area. I'd give the service and atmosphere more than 5 stars if I could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Been going for years for early .6a..coffee and sometimes breakfast food. Great coffee and they offer a really good deal on refills with their cup. Easy to get to. Right off the highway. Staff is great. Many regulars meet there each day. Has that good, hometown feel. They sell large quantities of coffee--whole bean-- and will grind there or you can do at home. Breakfast sandwiches are great, too. Owner is a great guy.

Always a great place to grab coffee or breakfast/lunch. Opens at 6am. Has become very popular and there can be significant wait times for breakfast. You can avoid a long wait by calling ahead and placing an order. Plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors.

The best little coffee shop in the White Mountains. Food is fresh, quick, and delicious. They have good takeout options as well. Good for breakfast, casual lunch, or an early casual dinner. They roast coffee in house, so expect quality beans! They have a nice display of pastries, cookies and quick breads. Their cold case selection includes take home meals, salads, and desserts. Typically ample seating inside but it gets busy during high-traffic tourist seasons/weekends. Outdoors seating available. Great WiFi too if you need a place to work for a few hours. Love my local coffee shop!

Simply the best coffee in the region!

Coffee is always delicious and hot just the way I like it I ordered the food and poored my own coffee and had 5 different ones to choose from. Deliciously fresh brewed and roasted coffee Mad river coffee house. BY the time I got my coffee, they called my name and handed my food. Fresh cut flowers on each table and cozy lounge plus outdoor seating for good weather make it a good place to hang out and soak in the good vibe. Good service with a 😃 smile .

Delightful Coffee House! Was doing some work at Owls Nest Resort and so thankful to have come across this excellent shop , from the soothing Jack Johnson playing in the background, and awesome living room ambiance to fantastic baristas! Definitely stop in!

Coolest after ski coffee house in the area. Great drinks, snacks, and soup.

Heading south from our trip we stopped at a coffee & bagels place in Lincoln. Unfriendly staff, slow, and only serving part of their menu. We moved on and found this place. Great menu, great taste, super friendly staff, and QUICK. Highly recommend.

Best quick breakfast around this portion of 95. Breakfast sandwiches use fresh bagels, real eggs, nothing is greasy. Wish I snapped a photo of the baked goods counter, but left with scones, cookies, and danishes too. Plenty of seating inside if you need a break from the car. Staff super friendly and patient. Will be pit stopping here more frequently.

Mad River Coffee is always a good stop when you're in the area. We stopped on Tuesday and wasn't disappointed. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich special. OMG so good! I took a pic of the specials board so I could attempt to make it at home. We'll see how successful I am. Coffee and service gets an "A" as well. Make sure to visit.

Are you freakin kidding me?! This was the cutest coffee shop I’ve ever been to. I am always seeking out local coffee shops wherever I travel but this is hands down my favorite one. We had been staying in Woodstock, and saw this while searching for places to have coffee / breakfast during our stay, but it was just outside of town so we decided just to stop here on our way back south on the way home. I am so glad we made the decision to stop. For a local coffee shop, the prices were excellent! I couldn’t help myself, I ordered 2 drinks because there was a special I wanted to try, and my fiancé ordered one (2 mediums & 1 large) and I also got a molasses cookie. The cookie was amazing. I ate it while waiting for our drinks and totally ordered another one. (10/10 recommend the molasses cookie). For everything we got, the total was only $18. At other coffee shops, you almost pay that for 2 drinks alone. I loved the selection of mugs, stickers, snacks, trinkets, maple syrups, etc. All of the pastries and food looked excellent too. And not to mention the cute leather couches and comfy spaces to sit. Everything was fantastic and we were very impressed. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re up north!!!!

Definitely stop in for breakfast and or just a cup of coffee. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite and professional. I had approximately a ten minute wait for my breakfast sandwich so I engaged in a game of chess with another customer . What a great place. Thank you mad river coffee

I am also a NYC transplant who was pleasantly surprised by the bagel. Very good coffee shop. They were also very helpful with managing my wife's wheelchair so nice service as well.

Best coffee in the north-ish country. Wonderful food made from the freshest ingredients, baked goods that will not disappoint and a beautifully cozy atmosphere. Order ahead in the am and skip the wait.

Mad River Coffee House, exemplifies what it means to be from New Hampshire. This place is a small, but wonderfully cozy and coffee house just off of exit 28. Aside from the fact that you have myriad of options from coffee, bagels, and other food options for breakfast and lunch, the girls at the register bring the whole experience together. They were so delightful and welcoming and just made you feel good overall. I think it’s rare to find such combination these days. I would recommend anyone getting off exit 28 to stop by this coffee house.

Coffee is Unbelievable (try their ice coffee ice cubes) . Its always an experience, you never know which of your neighbors (or two) you'll end up bumping into

Best coffee I've ever had. I grew up in MA, lived in NYC and have even traveled to Coffee Farms in Central America. Mad River is the best. The team there is SO friendly and accommodating. Love this LOCAL coffee spot.

I’m reluctant to leave this review because this place is like a well-kept secret. From the outside you wouldn’t know it, but inside lies an adorable, cozy coffee shop with delicious fresh pastries and other goodies for breakfast/brunch.

My go to coffee house and breakfast lunch place in the waterville valley area. Aways stop in for a pound of coffee. I grind my own but they will grind it for you. I recommend the breakfast sandwiches and soups. Expect a line for lunch.

Been coming here for lunch while working in the area and it's so good! Both coffee and food are excellent, and service is quick which is nice when you have a limited time for lunch! Found a cute spot to eat my lunch right down the road at the dam :)

They messed up my to go order. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on everything bagel to go. Turns out they didn't put bacon on it, but they charged me for it.

Great place for breakfast or lunch or just to sit and chill! Delicious food, have gotten over 10 things from the menu in the past couple weeks and every single item was delicious and I’d order it again. They have WiFi and I worked on my laptop for awhile ( the WiFi was enough for my needs, might be too slow for video calls but don’t do those from a coffee shop anyway). Welcoming and happy atmosphere, loved the music too. This is my favorite coffee shop of anywhere I’ve been, which is a big compliment since I’ve been coffee shop hopping across 35+ states in the last year.

Country mountain atmosphere amazing coffee roasted here!

I was greatly impressed with my Americano and the courteous, efficient service in which it was served. I couldn't help but buy a pound of both Mad River Blend and Morning Mayhem to bring back home and share. But what really resonated was the support of the local artists. That's just tops in my book!

It was a really good ambience, good food (vegetarian), good coffee and especially good staff.

Lovely coffee shop with a cabin vibe, right off the freeway. Coffee was great, very reasonably priced and tasty coffee (tried their latte, cappuccino both hot and cold + drip) with the option to have 1, 2 or 3 shots in your coffee. They had a plethora of baked good, I had their orange chocolate nut muffin (which was yum).

Coffee is amazing but why do I have to make it myself? Especially for $5? Coffee should be $3 each if I’m making it myself. It would’ve tasted 10 times better if the barista would of made the coffee for me.

I’m in love with this place! They roast coffee beans by themselves, and the coffee was very good. We had a delicious breakfast (egg wraps and sandwiches) and pastry was one of the best that I’ve tried, fresh and tasted homemade. Highly recommended!

We usually stop in for a coffee, matcha, chai and always a cookie. Yesterday we also bought this fresh gaspacho. It is perfect for lunch on hot day like today..

Tried Mad River Coffee house because it was the only place that was opened early (0630) on our way to BOS airport. The atmosphere looked super cozy & comfy, they have a seating areas on the side with couches set up which looked super relaxing just to sit and hang out and enjoy the wonderful coffees. Apparently you can dine in but the seating area did look limited. The staff was super friendly. Preordered a couple of egg McMuffin sandwiches (bacon & sausage) and a couple of coffees for pickup but once I arrived I saw all these pastries and had to try a few muffins and of course a bacon maple doughnut. Geez that was sick good! Everything we ordered was excellent will definitely stop by next time we are in the area.

A great mountain town coffee house with fresh food, daily specials, and good coffee. Breakfast sandwiches were very good and baked goods were delicious. Limited seating but some nice seating areas for eating or relaxing. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Pretty cute place with different options of food (wraps, sandwiches, pastries...) - we had an Egg Breakfast Wrap, and an Egg Bagel, and they were good. Chai Latte was splendid! Great place for a quick stop before being around the forest.

We stopped by because this was the only coffee joint open at 6 am, and we are so happy we did! The coffee was excellent, as were the pastries, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was so cozy!

My wife and I both love this place. We always come here for coffee. Not too busy but it was steady and we got there just in time before it got really busy. I had a bacon egg and cheese on and english muffin. Plus we got the mad river morning blend coffee. The service is excellent they are so friendly and patient..the atmosphere is so comfy and cozy, they have couches in the side room for relaxing and just having some tasty coffee. I will continue coming here everytime I'm up in the NH mountain area.

This place is amazing, I really wish we could have them in our town. Coffee is great, breakfast sandwiches are great! Service is great you can't ask for more. And they are open basically all day long.
