I just moved to NOLA two weeks ago and immediately needed a birthday cake for my mom. This bake shop had really high ratings so I decided to give it a try. I was very happy with what I got! I didn’t want a cake that was too sweet, and a customer (or maybe a staff?) recommended olive oil cake to me. It turned out to be perfect!!! The cream was also smooth and delicious. The decoration was beautiful. I didn’t expect this 4-inch cake would be so tall though. I sweated a lot trying to bring it home in one piece as the road to my home was extremely bumpy. It waggled a lot but luckily enough I made it. Probably a paper/plastic wrap around the cake could help with the transport. In summary: highly recommended!!!!

This spot has become a must every week to see what new treats Chef Jeremy Fogg is cooking up. They really do it all: a key lime pie for Easter brunch, a biscuit sandwich for breakfast (must have), a fun sweet treat (don’t skip the brownie), seasonal fresh ingredients, or a show stopping cake for any occasion. Look no further than Mae’s. Excellent value, quality ingredients, exceptional balanced flavors in every bite, and outstanding staff/ownership.

It's my "go-to" Sunday morning cafe!!! I fancy myself as a Key Lime Pie afficionado and they have a fabulous Key Lime Pie!!!

Everything I bought was delicious! I tried the ham and cheese roll, pound cake, and key lime pie and they were all great. The owner was also very helpful and nice. This place is a gem!

We went to Mae’s Bakery for breakfast, and the pastries were delicious. The biscuits were so good, I have never tasted any like them. The sausage gravy was also very delicious. I highly recommend it.

Mae's is amazing - full stop. We reached out to Mae's to ask about wedding cakes and Jeremy was super responsive and helpful from the beginning. He provided us with an awesome cake tasting box which was by far the best cake we tried. Fast forward to the wedding and the cakes were gorgeous and delicious. All of our guests loved it! We can't wait to come back to Mae's. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Have to admit, this cake made this Sweet Sixteen birthday girl so happy! Vanilla with Strawberry/Basil jam. Beautiful and delicious! Thank you so much to Jeremy and his staff for going the extra mile for our special occasion:)

Chef Jeremy at Mae‘s made a fabulous 🍫 birthday cake for our two year old‘s birthday when in town. Really flavorful almond cake with tasty & airy chocolate ganache and beautiful decorations. Amazing bakery.

So good! Delicious pastries, great prices, kind service. They even have drip coffee and cold brew.

Stopped in Sunday morning, not busy yet so we were helped very quickly. We tried both styles of the cinnamon rolls and the ham and cheese roll, I was surprised to find the Dijon mustard in the filling but it was very good! You can’t go wrong with a cinnamon roll so those were both good too.

This is a gem of bakery! Pies, biscuits, cookies, pound cake, speciality cakes and pies. ALL amazing, delicious, and baked with care. Love all the great goods and the vibe is pristine!

Stumbled upon this while out walking. Each item I purchased was delicious and the service was excellent. Will be back to try more items.

The cutest little bakery in a great location. They have great treats! I tried a banana muffin and a slice of pound cake but have had many of their products in the past from breads to pies and everything in between. Just go!!

Outrageously flaky biscuits, plush cinnamon rolls, breakfast pie(!!!!) and a number of other creative, thoughtful and and incredibly tasty treats. Delicious coffee. Don’t walk, run!!

Cute bakery with a lot of interesting items to try. The pie had a really good flavor and flaky crust, and the owner is super nice. Definitely going to stop by here again!

Incredible neighborhood bakery with the best biscuits I have ever had. Staff was knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. The owner was behind the counter and said he was an award winning professional pastry chef that decided to leave that part of the industry to open his own shop. Today, we tried the individual monkey bread with bananas foster sauce and the biscuit with cranberry jam. No butter was required in the biscuits, they were the perfect level of buttery and flaky. They offered coffee and bottles beverages. The other diners in the shops were raving about the cinnamon rolls, so we have something to try on our next visit! Don't miss this hidden gem!
