Outstanding neighborhood Greek/Italian spot that is head and shoulders above all the others. Stunning Greek Salads with Gyro meat carved from the spit; excellentvtomato sauce dishes and pizza. Grew up in Queens so had access to the best Gyro/Souvlaki/etc-- Mamma's would be right at home in Astoria!

Came here with the family and everyone enjoyed what we got. The food was good and so was the portions. I don't mind being charged a premium as long as I get a good portion. My only complaint is the calamari portion wasn't as generous as everything else, so it's good to split if there only two people, but not good for 4 or 6 people. Outside of this, very positive experience and will come back.

Every time we eat here, the food is fantastic! Whether it’s kabobs, Fettuccine Alfredo, or today it was Tuscan Chicken, we are always impressed! Their Tiramisu is also amazing.

The whole experience - the atmosphere (gorgeous outdoor patio as well as indoor seating), the high-quality service, and the excellent food made it an unforgettable meal. The service is quick and efficient, if not too efficient and fast. The waitress asked what we wanted and walked off quickly after we told her the beverages and we were in mid sentence to give her the rest of our order. She never came back to check on us and brought us the bill without asking if there was anything else we wanted. This isn't the first time we've been here, and this has happened. The saving grace about this place is the beautiful garden and outdoor patio. You forget you are close to route one. It is relaxing and tranquil.

Their pasta dishes are ok. It really depends on which ones you get. I would highly recommend getting the calamri, since it comes crispy and hot off the grill. Their gyro platter as well is great too. What made me bring this down was the wait time. We got there before a few customers and still got our food after them.

We usually order pizza to go. The pizza is delicious. While I wait, I can see and smell the other dishes been served in the kitchen they all look good and fresh. Maybe some day I venture to try something else, but then I love their pizza. They have patio sitting as well as indoor seating. There's parking in the front and back and they share the building with a yougurt place.

Homey and simple. Fantastic moussaka and good pitas and hummus. Just what I needed after a long day. Everyone in the group enjoyed the meal!

Lasagna was Mushy and took 20 minutes to get my house salad and Lasagna. Waitress was not attentive. I was served cold garlic bread. I told the server which was an older Lady. She just looked at me. I have ate quite a bit of Italian cuisine in Italy many times and here in the States. It claims Tuscan Dishes. How about Frozen Microwaved dishes.

Just a great restaurant! 100% recommend. Love their gyro meat, all their sandwiches are delicious, pastas are amazing. Pizza is probably my least favorite thing on the menu but for those who like thin crust pizza, highly recommend blanca pizza. My favorites: Greek salad, side spinach or a spinach appetizer (same thing), salmon kale salad, chicken limoni, Tuscan chicken, trio dip appetizer (omg - their feta spread is amazing), gyro platter, grape leaves appetizer. This place is worth trying. Finance and you will be back!

Clean and cute place, with a Mom & Pop feel to it. The service was wonderful! Our server was very attentive, kind, quick, and went out of her way to make sure our drinks were always full. The portion size was good, and the food was yummy - just not stellar. There are more delicious Greek restaurants not too far. The food was good for convenience, and since the experience was wonderful, I would definitely go back - just not go out of my way to return.

The best food ever! I went here a few months ago and had one of their specials at the time. The food was so good I could eat it everyday. The nice lady who was serving us was wonderful. She kept checking in on us to make sure everything was going good. The actual place was well decorated and you could see the chefs cooking your food. I loved this place so much and will be going back.

Typical Greek diner fare at Georgetown prices. We had the gyro platter with Caesar salad, the baked ziti with Greek salad, the lamb burger, and the kids spaghetti. The Caesar salad was just sad. Pretty small and featuring mostly the inner, bitter parts of the Romaine lettuce that were still dirty and that you'd normally throw in the trash. The greek salad was decent, but not a Greek salad. The fries were bland and lacked salt on multiple plates. The kids spaghetti was basically a cup of spaghetti with pasta sauce on top. The baked ziti was fairly tasty but featured several pieces of stale garlic bread. The gyro platter was generous in size and the gyro meat was flavorful. I've definitely had better food at lower prices.

Food: I got the lamb burger and Greek fries. The hamburger meat was bland, but the halloumi cheese was quite a bit too salty. It felt unbalanced and not something that I would order again. The fries were relatively cold (and I always eat my fries first.) My order came out last in the group, so I would have expected that they were waiting for something to cook in order for mine to come out, but from eating it, that didn't seem to be the case. However, I've only tried Greek food in the last year, and only a handful of times. So, perhaps it is just my inexperienced pallet. Either way, it isn't something that I would purchase again. Service: To give the restaurant credit, I came with a larger group, and our group did not call ahead to let them know we were coming, which is on us. However, it took at least 45 minutes for someone to come to our table to even take our orders, and then another hour for the food to come out. Yes, it was lunchtime, but there were only perhaps 10-15 individuals in the restaurant when we arrived, and half of those were already eating. The server checked in with us only one time once we got the food and asked if everything was OK. One member of the group expressed disappointment that their dish with chicken was extremely overcooked and dry, and the server responded with "ok" and walked away. There was no attempt at an apology or an attempt to be understanding. I know that not all restaurants would replace the food, but it would have been a more pleasant experience if the response had been more empathetic. I understand having to wait as a large group, but the excessive wait and the lack of serviceable mindset it what earned them a 2 star review here for my visit. Atmosphere: The building seems to be very aptly decorated. There are beautiful vines and a lovely balcony for outdoor dining. The art and the layout gave me a very distinct Greek feel. Overall: I would be willing to try again and see if the service was better without a large group, and perhaps a different food item would be more enjoyable for me. However, it's going to be a while before I even want to try again.

My parents and I enjoyed an early afternoon lunch. My wife enjoyed the mamma’s melenzana, my parents enjoyed the shrimp basílico and linguine with clams, and I ordered the beef kabobs. My beef kabobs were ordered medium and they arrived WELL and dry. We were never offered another beverage or water during our meal. Overall, it was a slightly above average dining experience.

I went to mamas kitchen for lunch today. Looking forward to a good meal. They had falafel on the menu which I ordered. When it came, the bread was all soaking wet. I told the waitress and she told me well she didn’t make the sandwich. I told her I understand that, but I wanted a new piece of bread because the sandwich was wet. She finally said she would make me a new sandwich and walked away. Then I put my attention to the salad, however, on my salad was a half eaten pepper chino. I guess someone might’ve enjoyed my salad before me. After I finally got a new sandwich and a new salad. I ate it and left. No discount from mamas kitchen. Really sad.

Very poor food. My sandwich was soaking wet so I couldn’t eat the bread. And someone else obviously had eaten my salad before me because there was a partially eat and pepperchini on my salad. Their food standards have definitely gone down and their price is way up. I won’t be going back.

Mammas was absolutely fanatic. The service was incredible especially when Doordash screwed up my order by not delivering my pizza, and mammas kitchen gave me another pizza free f charge. The Mediterranean pizza and grape leaves where delicious.

Went here and was ask if it was ok to be seated by the bathroom. I didn’t realize the bathroom was literally next to the table the place was empty I said yes because I was just ready to order. Then I noticed when other customers came in she had went to the bathroom and I noticed we were by the bathroom. I asked to be moved but I noticed the waitress did not offer anyone other guest to sit by the bathroom she just automated took them to any other seat. Like why?

Excellent environment- the inside is modern and quaint, the outside is a beautiful garden that you sit in. We have gotten take out gyros and greek salads from here for a few years now. The food has been consistently high quality and always ready at the time predicted. The last year we have noticed that the quality and timeliness have both gone downhill. Last night, we were celebrating a family milestone and were going to be in the vicinity of the restaurant so we thought we would give them another chance. Bad idea. The to-go orders were crazy busy and there were two employees handling it. The order receipts were lined up like an assembly line, but there was no efficiency whatsoever. Door dash drivers and patrons coming in to pick up their orders were lined out the door. People were waiting for a very long time to get their food and they were visibly annoyed. The two employees asked for names randomly and out of order. I stood there for 15 minutes before anyone even asked my name and they had already asked for names of people that arrived much later than I did. Then I stood there another 15 minutes before I received my order, which was 20 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready. They didn't even print it out until 5 minutes before I received it. I placed the order online 20 minutes before I arrived. They handed me the bag and I had to ask for to-go cutlery and napkins for a to-go order. To top it off, there was absolutely no friendliness, no apology, no communication whatsoever with me or the other patrons. The food was subpar at best, the gyros were cold and damp like they had been refrigerated, and it was not worth the money paid.
