A Newark staple. I miss the vibe of the old location but the pizza still tastes great and the service is friendly as usual:) Value priced lunch specials

I got a XL plain cheese pizza. Where is the sauce? I got cheese and dough. Very thin and needs to be eaten hot. Delivery does not do it justice. Other than that the owner is very cool.

We have been enjoying fine Italian food here for a long time. Since they moved this new address they have upped their game as far as menu items go. But still we come for the pizza because their Enzo pizza is the best.

Oh, this establishment is awesome! I had an issue with Uber eats and when things didn’t go as promised (by Uber Eats), I called the restaurant personally and they took care of everything for me. The staff is wonderful, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious! Even the pizza box is beautiful :) I attached a couple of photos. Will always be a returning customer. Have to edit my last review which was excellent to exceptionally poor. Ordered 2 subs today. One ham and cheese and one Italian cost was $24 for 2 9" subs brought the sandwiches home and they were mostly onions and oil quality really went down. Roll was nice but wawa puts more meat on their sandwiches. I honestly had 4 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese. Pickles are cut thick to make the subs look bigger

I have done take out, eat in the front, and restaurant table service in the back. I have eaten pizzas, subs, salads, and entrees. Every way you can eat there and every dish you can eat there is absolutely delicious and enjoyable.

Ate here, coincidentally, about a week after returning from Italy. The owner here is from Naples, and the pizza is very good!! If you're ever in Newark, it's worth the stop.

The girl who works at the counter needs to work on her customer service skills I love the food from here but very rude worker. She didn’t acknowledge me and just said “what are you looking for” In a rude way like if I’m bothering someone. If I went inside obviously I’m trying to order or pick up. It’s not a good look when people think they are better than others and talk to them however they want.

Rice balls. I've never seen them in a pizza place. My Albanian lady friend introduced them to me and this place has them... It's not Gordon Ramsey or Emeril Lagasi and it's a pizza place but it's stands out a bit from the rest of the smaller ones with service.

I have loved this place for years, since it was a hole-in-the-wall storefront on Main street. It now has a nice, more spacious location. The pizza is fantastic, I think the best traditional NY-style pizza in town. Fairly thin crust, but the edge is chewy. Toppings are always fresh. The sausage here is unusually good quality among pizza places. I also like that they sell by the slice, great if you drop in by yourself and just want a snack or quick meal. If I had a suggestion for an improvement it would be that there are a few too many blue-light bulbs in the seating area...I would love if these were replaced with less harsh, all warm lighting. Slightly dimmer lighting would be nice later in the evening too, the bright light is fine during the day but grates on me when it's late at night.

Calamari was top notch. Lightly breaded and not greasy.

Food is great, don't change anything in that respect. Service, I'm not used to being spoken to that way anymore, honestly. The attitude of the girl upfront when I didn't understand what she was saying and she wouldn't take the time to explain it was irritating. I'm hearing impaired. I'm younger and I don't look like it but I am. She was more interested in talking to the guys around and treated me like an interruption so I doubt informing her would have helped. Becoming defensive and throwing up an attitude is never the way to go. You're not good at business if this is the face of it. I paid, I tipped the poor kid that checked me out who looked very uncomfortable, and left without a scene. Figured this review would be enough. Food is great so unfortunately I will never give you another dime.

Finally tried their pizza. Pros: they have an XL size which is great, cheese and sauce were flavorful, and crust was pretty good. Cons: pizza could have been cut better, not as good after reheating, and unfortunately it did mess up my stomach after eating it for both nights and I am an avid pizza eater..Not sure if it was my stomach or the pizza but doubt I will return.

We ordered delivery yesterday for the first time since they were the runner up in the pizza contest by Delaware Online. They just left the pizza on our porch (when we didn’t select to have our order dropped at our door) so it was cold by the time we realized it was there. Also, one of our specialty pizzas was made incorrectly. We ordered a white Buffalo chicken pizza, and it was made with red sauce. The pizza was good, but we were disappointed with the experience overall.

Broccoli bites were listed as vegetarian but contained bacon. Plain Stromboli was very thin and overcooked on bottom and there was no sauce inside. Plain cheese pizza was good. Plain cheesesteak was good. Good quantity of fries were given.

went in here at 7:15 pm on saturday night. they only had 3 pies available for slices and all the employees acted as if our presence was a nuisance. for reference, they close at 9:30 pm. pizza was good but the service and atmosphere was awful.

If you like extra sausage on your pizza DO NOT get your pizza from Margherita’s. Twice I ordered it, came home, opened the box and could hardly detect any sausage at all. Ridiculous! I don’t mind paying extra but not for ghost sausage Shame on you guys! Jeez!

The dough was great but the sauce and the cheese was absolutely horrible. Didn't taste like pizza at all.

I stopped by for a slice of pizza Friday night. While eating my pizza in my vehicle, I observed the counter guy who had served me, pick up the floor mats throughout the store, take them outside to shake them out, then put them back in place. WITHOUT washing his hands, he returned to the front and resumed taking orders and handling food. After two + years of a pandemic and the focus on sanitation, this is downright abhorrent. Certainly makes me wonder what else he touched before serving me my pizza or how extensive the unsanitary habits of this employee and others may be at this establishment.

Consistently gets orders wrong if you order online. I ordered linguine and white clam sauce and got penne with red sauce. I understand that both of those dishes have "clam sauce" in them, but penne and linguine are totally different, and white sauce and red sauce are even more different...

Liked it !!! Lots of place to sit, it's clean and fresh Italian food. If you are looking for food and a quite place to eat go there - it's a good change from noisier italian restaurants on main street.

Skimped out on toppings. 17 dollar pepperoni pizza had less than dominos and it taste like cardboard and was undercooked. Buffalo chicken pizza was also terrible. Barely any chicken. If you are gonna charge a lot, at least get a decent workers to do it right.

Walked a mile or so in the heat for 3 slices. Worth every moment and cent I personally reccommend white pizza. Hawaiian pizza tasted a bit like a well made holiday ham, which is a win in my books

I stopped in this Pizza Restaurant for the first time. I had 2 Slices (Chicken Bacon Ranch and Sausage Bacon) the dough and flavor were incredible. I will definitely be revisiting when I'm back in Newark. MOLTO BENE!!!!

So I'm from NJ originally and moved to Newark about 6 months ago and when craving pizza have tried a few places with much disappointment. Today was a different day while working I stopped here today because it was close to my next job and figured I would give it a shot. Well disappointment over this may be the best pizza in Newark. 100 percent I will be back kudos Margherita's you nailed it!

Forget the faux hippy-kitsch of Peace-a-Pizza, Margherita's simply has the best pizza in the area. Toppings are always fresh and tasty. They also serve some dinner-type meals (stromboli, etc) that are worth a try. The place has been on Main St. for a long time, and you can tell it's still a hit by the line snaking out the door over lunch time.

Absolute hands down best pizza in the area. The grandma Pizza in the Sicilian are my favorite but I've never been disappointed. Lots of options to order by the slice with makes a great lunch or quick dinner. 100% my favorite pizza shop

Love their pizza, the best margherita/New York style pizza around. Their hot fresh dough is incredible. If you take it home, don't regret in a microwave, use an oven or frying pan.

I had not been to this place since they used to be on Main Street in Newark. Good pizza. Good service. Amber impressed me with her passion to serve customers. Very rare to see that these days in a young person.

The best pizza in Newark, possibly all of Northern Delaware. If you want good, no non-sense, pizza-pizza it really cannot be beat. Their white pizza offerings and appetizers are also quite good. The place is clean and tidy, the staff is always very friendly, fair prices, always ready when they say it'll be. My absolute favorite local, family-owned pizza shop. 11/10

While it's a little sad not to have them at their original location on Main Street anymore, they're still in a good location walking distance from west campus and there's no fee for parking in the "Park and Shop" shopping center. Ordering online through Slice is easy for immediate or later pickup or delivery. Their menu is more extensive than I realized and even includes seafood. My favorites are the classic margherita pizza and the bbq chicken pizza. Love this classic Newark pizza place!

Classic pizza shop, done right. Not a trend-following shop; Marhgarita's does old-school and does it as well or better than anyone else. This is a long-time and beloved local institution, having fed generations of university students, faculty, and their families.

Excellent pizza! I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and the pizza is one of the best in Delaware! They have a lot of options (plain, white, Sicilian, grandma, Margherita, buffalo chicken, vegetable, penne, and more). The staff is really nice. They also have good garlic knots and riceballs.

No one better. Good ole Italian pizza cooked right on the stone. If you grew up in Philly or New York this place will make you feel like you never left . To top off the great pizza they also cook a great dinner I never their new location. The clams, muscles and linguini is in point! I’ll be sure to revisit often and explore the menu. The staff is very friendly and are very prompt to serve your needs. A1 in my book

Just left Margherita's Pizza. I ordered Broccoli Rab and an Anti Pasta salad. Everything looks great. My wife gives 2 Thumbs up on both. And she's picky.
