I had the pleasure of visiting Marimba Cafe for the first time, as this was the second Silent Book Club Meetup, presented by Book Haven Books at this lovely cafe; I was unable to attend the first one at Marimba in May, but tonight was the night! The decor is gorgeous and truly honoring of Hispanic Heritage. Their Avocado Arepa is MUY DELICIOSO, and their other food and beverage offerings are excellent. The staff are masters of customer service, and they radiate great energy. There are also some games one can play during their visit. The bathroom is very clean, and literally, right next door, via the door near the counter. There are also other offerings one can buy, from tee shirts to Puerto Rican hot sauce. Tonight, Thursday, July 25, 2024, was my first time back in Hackensack, NJ, in more than thirty years, and this place was so very beyond worth the trip. I look forward to returning, as soon as I can.

Such a lovely and cozy cafe that encapsulates a little bit of PR and Colombia- truly they did a wonderful job of making it a beautiful environment to be in! The decor is elegant but also makes you feel at home; they have this gorgeous mural representing the coffee fields and another wall with amazing screen printed artwork, must see. The owners are so kind and are here often to answer any questions. As for the food and beverages, the coquito latte and pandebono are the perfect combo to start your day. I have been frequenting here quite a bit to get some school work done, the music sets a great vibe and the cannacocktails will get you right! Definitely recommend :)

Such a vibrant and welcoming space! Loved their Mango Lemonade and Chicken Wrap. I've also heard amazing things about their Coquito Latte, which is what I'll be trying next time. Can't wait to go back

I loved this place! I took a quiz here for one of my classes with no problem. I loved the atmosphere and it was very clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The latte I had was good and the chicken skewer I had was amazing! The tostones were so yummy and came with a side of pink sauce. I definitely recommend checking this place out. I forgot to take pictures but the place was also aesthetically pleasing.

You can feel the Colombian vibes immediately 💓. The Lulada Colombiana and the waffle bono were outrageously good, everybody was so friendly 🫶.

It's a really comfy and spacious space. The owners were kind and accommodating. The seating was also comfortable, even after hours sitting down. It's also a really nice spot to host an event. There is street parking in the front but metered except for Sundays. I definitely recommend the conquito Latte. It's their signature.

Absolutely beautiful little cafe. Friendly and informative staff, great food and great vibes! The coquito infused drink was delicious!! The bakery treats are first come first served so be sure to stop by early. Will for sure be back soon to try more. Plenty of street parking on a Sunday since it’s Bergen county.

Love this cafe! The coquito latte is probably one of the best flavored coffees I ever had. The pan de bono at a coffee shop was so good. Multiple outlets and seats with pretty plants. But the best part was the music. The music was at the right volume level for conversations and studying. A mix of afrobeats, r&b, reggaeton. Amazing.

Very friendly place. The owner will explain the concept and how the business came to be. The location was clean and a comfortable atmosphere. Will be returning for some breakfast

Love the vibe and aesthetic of this place. The service is really great. We ordered the coquito latte which I highly recommend and a mocha latte which is average. We got the pan de bono waffles which I loved especially the chewy texture, but my boyfriend didn’t because it has dulce de leche syrup which he doesn’t like and we didn’t know it had.

A different Café experience and concept in Hackensack. Love the warm and inviting atmosphere. The coffee and “munchies” son A1! Highly recommend the Waffle Bono and the Coquito Latte (Hot or Iced). A must visit if you’re in Hackensack.

Fantastic place! Staff is super friendly! The waffle bono & milo latte were so delicious. The atmosphere is so pleasing/bright/colorful & great place to relax or chat. My favorite area was the wall with all the screen prints! I was explained that the prints come directly from Colombia. ¡Hermosura me encanto todo!

The Coquitto Latte piqued my interest after reading the reviews, so I decided to give it a try, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The cafe owner is friendly and approachable, making the overall experience delightful. I am definitely coming back here:)

Tried their Coquito Latte and it was the perfect blend of traditional Puerto Rican coquito and coffee. Didn’t even need to add sugar like I normally do with my coffee. Definitely coming back!

Immaculate vibes! I mean I sat here for hours working, listening to their nostalgic music playlist, sipping on my delicious coquito latte and danish! I can’t wait to try more items from the menu.
