With 18 years experience, I finally decided to become "certified" to work in a more corporate atmosphere. Shout-outs to Frankie and the team for all the help and accommodations! My experience was definitely something I didn't expect and I learned so much more than I thought I knew. Glasses to cocktails- pour counts to soda gun. I truly experienced a great class!

I Haven’t even finished my 2nd week during the course at Md Bartending academy. I am 6 days in (24 hours) and have already learned countless drink (40+ drinks) and am confident this is the best purchase I have made in my young life. If you are debating between MD BARTENDING and other schools look no further. There is free parking. The school has been in business for 42+ years and shantelle our veteran instructor is absolutely amazing and I consider it an honor to be one of her last students. I’d you are looking to invest in your future look no further than MD Bartending academy in Glen Burnie in off of New Jersey avenue. You won’t be disappointed.

Took the class with Chantelle. She is the best instructor there. Sharing stories and helpful hints. She’s not just a instructor, she’s your cheerleader. She places her faith in her students to ensure they do a great job. Angie the clerical secretary there is very helpful and will ensure everything is taken care of before classes start. Chantelle there is hands down the best instructor! She shares stories to help you on your way to become a great bartender. She’s more of cheerleader than an instructor. She wants you to be the best at it!!! Angie there who’s the secretary is wonderful! She helps with anything you need and will guide you in directions of jobs. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Excellent service and training! The program equipped me with the basic knowledge and skills to start bartending right away. This school also provides job leads to assist in getting hired immediately. I was interviewed by one of the school’s leads and was invited to start job training before I even completed my certification. Exciting and fun program. Well worth the investment!

Chantelle is the best teacher you can ask for! Not only is she very knowledgeable from her experience, she’s very detailed in her explanation and presentation. Even after graduating in Feb 2022, I still go to the school to practice and pick Chantelle’s brain and she’s always more than happy to help me better my skills. 10/10 recommend this school.

Chantal is hands down one of "the" best teachers that I've ever had (and I've been in grad school, undergrad and other certificate programs). Seriously, she truly and genuinely cares about the success of each one of her students in the class. Coming from Corporate America, I was in for a rude awakening during this class, I thought, "How hard can bartending be?" But, there was a ton to learn in just two weeks. I buckled down to carve out time to study, though challenging some days, and class really helped me to solidify what I learned. I'm now on this new and AMAZING path! I'm so grateful for Chantal and the Academy.

I have to agree with the good reviews and the positive comments about instructor Hollyn. The program took us through both bar operations and many, many, MANY drink recipes - which essentially jumped me from total novice to professional bartender standing in record time. Great atmosphere with a nice bunch of people and a comfortable, supportive learning environment - plus job leads and advice to get you pouring for dollars. Definitely worth the time and investment!

After finishing the Maryland Bartending Academy's (MBA) 2 week bartending classes, I can honestly say that I can see why the school has received a perfect FIVE STAR RATING. The program was extremely thorough and the instructor, Hollyn, captured my attention. Before I arrived, I was nervous about learning so much information in a short period of time while still having obligations early in the day. However, the phrases for the drinks, flashcards, and other study tips has made learning the information and recipes a breeze! Hollyn was great. I can honestly say that she has left an impact on me, and I will miss seeing her everyday. She has a welcoming presence and a great sense of humor. The class could be heard laughing several times during class which made me also enjoy the company of the people I had worked with. After just a week of completing the program, I am proud to say that I have earned a position with a fine dining steakhouse with minimal experience in the restaurant industry. (I worked at a nightclub for 4 months before COVID took over.) During the interview, they asked me questions about what I knew about different liquors and I confidently answered them all. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to become a bartender and become prepped on how to land a job after. I WILL BE MARYLAND'S NEXT #1 BARTENDER. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT CLASS!

I had an amazing time being a student in this academy. My teacher Hollyn was so patient. I loved how I retained all the information and still use all the tips and tricks till this day. I would suggest anyone that wants to get into bartending to join this academy first! It was very educational!

The two week course was a great experience, and I was able to find a job right off the bat! Worth every penny.

I’d say the (Maryland) Bartending Academy was one of the best investments I’ve made! I decided I wanted to be a bartender so I could excel in my personal food business, but after taking the class I realized I had skills! I was nervous when I took the class, but every teacher makes sure no one gets left behind or doesn’t understand something. At the end of the class I was worried if I’d do well at a bar, but the notes they give you help you succeed and I mean succeed! I honestly don’t even use them often because their teaching skills are just A-1! If you’re worried about the price….DON’T. Once a bar hears you came from The (Maryland) Bartending Academy they’re quick to jump and take you in! Once you’re in you’ll make more than what you paid for the class. Oh and they help you get a job so don’t even worry. Take the class and watch your career thrive! The class was fun, I made connections, and still in college making things work with less stress! I truly recommend !!

I walked in not knowing much at all about bartending, hollyn is a wonderful teacher, she's super nice and she did an awesome job teaching and helping us learn everything effectively. They have been helping me with getting jobs. Chantelle is very helpful and understanding. Loved the class and it was definetly worth the money! You'll make it back in no time!

Maryland Bartending Academy was a smart investment in my career! I’ve worked in alcohol beverage marketing and events management for many years and wanted get a “behind the bar” perspective for marketing and promotional purposes. MBA provides excellent course material, in-class and hands on instruction! Ms Chantal and Holland were great teachers, mentors and all around good people who actually care about student success. They gave a firm foundation, not only in bartending, but how newcomers should approach the industry. Career placement was A++ and I ended up interviewing with a top company in the area days before graduating and gaining new client prospects. I can’t thank MBA enough 😊

Great place to train for a new career. I needed a change in my career and MBA was there to give me all he training i need. They also helped me find a job right after the boot camp ended. All in all great place to train and i would recommend it for anyone who wants to enter the bar tending industry.

MBA provides one-of-a-kind experience on developing yourself into a proficient bartender. I completed the 5-Saturday course and had so much fun, while learning yet so much! I started the program with zero bartending experience and graduated with confidence in obtaining my first bartending job. I'm excited to show off my skills! The teachers are very passionate about the profession and assuring that you develop your skillsets, and the mock bars accessible to you during your training provide you with the necessary tools to develop your efficiency and accuracy of making cocktails. The Maryland Bartending Academy course is full of practical information which will prepare you to become a qualified bartender. There is homework and you will need to study for the tests! If you take the course seriously, you will leave comfortable behind the bar and knowledgeable in almost all classic cocktail recipes. Most importantly, the MBA is well respected and maintains a network of restaurants, bars, and events all across Maryland to assist with job placement. I attended the 5-week Saturday course with Chantelle. She is a professional instructor and has enabled me to land a bartending position within 6 weeks of graduation. If you are thinking about becoming a bartender, sign up and make it happen.

As a White House Chef, I attended here surreptitiously and never let management know! We loved it and sent several of our chefs there. I look forward to stopping in for a special day soon and hosting a cool presentation.

I had the best experience at MBA. I wasn't sure it I could do this as this was a new career move for me. Chantelle was the best!! She reassured me and always provided me with a wealth of information. From start to finish everthing exceeded my expectations. I wanted to do more offsite jobs and I was able to secure a job with one of the largest catering company's just weeks after graduating. I loved the time, attention, and the willingness they have to make sure you succeed. Mark was extremely helpful too. He always had encouraging words. You guys are tops with me!!!!!!! I’ve created relationships with managers that went from being my manager to long term friends/colleagues, I’ve bought three brand new cars, and I can always go back to being a bartender just to make extra money!!! Had a great time in class, very friendly staff, they work with you. I knew nothing about alcohol and/or making drinks, and I made it. It's very fast paced, but you'll be well prepared when finished with your classes. If I can make it, you can too. I immediately got a job w/Marriott which was the only place I applied to. Fun class, learn a lot, and they help w job placement. This is a great investment!

I recently graduated from MBA and i have the to say the experience was GREAT!!! When i came in for the initial consultation i spoke with Chantel and she was so professional and knowledgeable. I was worried that i was to old to remember all the recipes, etc. Chantel made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that i registered the next night for the upcoming class! My instructor was "Lita" she has such a non-nonchalant, laid back demeanor..but she is a powerhouse behind the bar..that woman knows her stuff. Awesome instructor!! Lita had no idea..but on the last day after the final exam..she said something so very encouraging to me and it truly made a difference before i walked out those doors. What i took from her statement was..."Alcohol sells itself...but i sell the experience". sounds simple..but it was very encouraging and motivating. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to change their career or add a bit of spice to their life!

This was one of the best investments of my time and money so far in life. Since 2017, I tried working for a company in the local area. I applied 4 times and I was never hired or emailed back. This summer I applied for the same company again with my bartending license from the Maryland Bartending Academy and I was offered a job in less than 30 days after graduating! Ms. Chantelle is the most incredible advocate you could ever have on your team. She’s very dedicated to helping you find your dream bartending job. As long as you work with her and you are coachable and persistent, she will work with you. The course itself was two weeks long, mon-fri and they offer morning and evening classes. They also have a Saturday option. As long as you make detailed flash cards, study them every night , take notes in class, and show up every day on time, you can and will do well. I’m grateful to my instructor Ms. Lita for holding us at high standards and for her thoroughness. I appreciate Ms. Chantelle for her dedication and kindness.
