my recent dining experience at masala Bristo was disappointing. The food was simply not up to par. The portion sizes were also smaller than expected for the price. To make matters worse, the service was slow and inattentive. It's a shame, as I had heard such positive things about this place. I hope they can improve their quality and service in the future."

Best Indian restaurant in Myrtle Beach area! I was on a vacation and thought to give it a try. Best decision of the day. Will be going back tomorrow before I leave the town. Must try the Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Salmon and Butter chicken with their crispy hot naans. The ambience is amazing as well! A perfect fine fine experience.

Excellent food and great ambiance

On vacation, best food ever!!! We got there at closing hours 9pm on a Friday. They served us 4 cocktail drinks, goat curry, lamb butter sauce and everything was amazing! If you are in town this is the place to be. Incredible service and food.

Got an order for a pickup, we spent some time in India and know our Indian food very well. For the price they charged, and being the top rated Indian restaurant at the beach we were very underwhelmed. Naan felt like it was a frozen one, both paneer dishes were less than average, didn’t receive a side we ordered as well as silverware. Nice over the phone but food not amazing.

I went here for lunch and had a wonderful meal. The Service was excellent and the food was great ( I requested my meal to be Mild and it came out perfectly !!! ) If you enjoy Indian food or would like to try it, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Food here is excellent , hot, fresh , perfect spice level ( they do ask ) vegetable pakora , vegetable Tikka masala and chicken tikka masala , naan , all I highly recommend .

It has been a very long time since I have had good Indian food. Finding this place just makes me so happy everything we tried was so delicious that we decided to get some takeout as well so we can have better lunches this coming work week

I don’t know what to say about this place!! Being an Indian I was sooooo disappointed with this restaurant. We were craving for Indian food because we didn’t have it for a long time and based on the reviews we decided to take a chance on this restaurant!! It wasn’t a good decision 🤦🏻‍♀️ The food was bland and the quantity was soo less. We ordered a biryani and it was a joke!!! It was like 1/4th plate!! We have ordered biryanis from other restaurants in the US and they give good quantity. This was not good!! I don’t know why they are rated good?! No flavor at all! And the bill we got was outrageous!!!! Won’t recommend this place to anyone!!

Over priced, less quantity, to much you have to wait after ordering your food.

I recently visited this restaurant and was shocked by the unacceptable behavior of the staff. When my friend’s child was quietly playing at table, a staff member rudely interrupted her, behaving with them harshly and muttering to himself. This inappropriate and arrogant behavior was extremely unprofessional and made us feel very uncomfortable. Such conduct is completely unacceptable, and I will not be returning. I strongly advise others to avoid this place until they address their customer service issues. Food is good, but i will never be a returning customer here

Vegetable tikka masala was amazing

I went here with my mom's social group and we had a great time! The food was great — the sauces were the perfect consistency, the basmati rice was fragrant, and the meat was tender. If you enjoy Indian food, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try! My only complaint was that the service, while very polite, was scattered. About 3 different people waited on us and we had to flag them down and repeat ourselves, but they weren't rude at all! And they were helpful. Just be patient when you go and you'll have a great time. Definitely a place to go when you want to try something new and not super hungry or hangry.

I have never received this bad of a service ever and I go out to eat all of the time. The servers were so so rude and very impatient. You could tell he was getting irritated by every little thing huffing and puffing talking under his breath. I don’t recommend this place AT ALL. You ask these workers a simple question and they give back smart remarks. It was just very uncomfortable for us and will never ever come back again. 0/10.

First of all the waiters did not coordinate properly between themselves for giving us a table and our party has to sit in 2 different tables because of that and second they gave us water in glass and the glass is not cleaned properly at all so I suggest people to take their own bottles because they are going to charge $1.5 for a bottle there and third we ordered chicken Hyderabad curry which is no where near the title mentioned and we ordered mughalai chicken korma which I think is the same as Hyderabad chicken curry they changed a little bit in the taste but everything else is same. Picture I added below is mughalai chicken korma and that is not how it should be prepared 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been to many many Indian restaurants, this is the best IMO I have ever been too. Do not pass this place up, it will change your life, especially if you haven’t loved Indian food before

We ordered Chana Masala, Aloo Gobi and Samosas. All vegan and good. We chose mild and I think it was spicy enough. The service lacked this time. I was still giving instructions for preferences as the waiter kept on walking lol. Very little patience for customers. — Update 2024 The mild taste was spot on. Very doable and it had a good kick. The service was much faster this time around. The food is super tasty and one of the best Indian flavors I ever tried.

Food Quantiy are way less, Tastes Average, Service is poor and ambience is gloomy! Recently during our trip, we called ahead to book a table for 8 of us. for 8:45 pm. We were told, that the last order for the night would be at 8, so we need to order by then, if we have to be seated later. We agreed & placed our order by 6 pm itself. Reaching there, little before 8:45pm we were seated right away, the restuarant seemed fairly empty though. First - water was dripping on our plate from the vent above, and we requested to move from that table. Second, one of our friend asked for a cup of tea while we waited for the food. We were told, it would not be possible as the kitchen is busy with orders thats already pending. After, she requested more, he Magnanimously agreed to make just ONE Cup Of Tea!!! Third, the Quantity of entrees were so less than normal, with our Usual number of items, and was not enough for all of us. (We had same number of items at another Indian Restaurant at Charleston, the previous night, where we all ate comfortably and packed some leftovers too!!) So, we asked if we could order more entrees since the quantity was less. They said their Kitchen is closed!! Interestingly, 4-5 groups of 4-6 people walked in after 9pm, not only they were seated, orders taken after that, and food served - while for us the kitchen was closed?! Wonder how! Bottom line - Food Portions were way less, as well tasted just average!

I had such an amazing time. The food was so tasty and the service was incredible. There was so much going on and in the end we all had a wonderful time. Would HIGHLY recommend this wonderful restaurant with tasty food!

I am truly impressed with the hospitality of this restaurant. We came in just few mins before closing on a busy Friday night with our little one. They just went out of their way to accommodate us and provide a sumptuous meal. Thank you!

Owner is an excellent guy!! Even after being super busy that too when they were about to close the restaurant, he made sure I and my pregnant wife got fed with some delicious food.

cannot prepare food without onion and garlic

The food was good. If you're looking for northern-style food, you will adore this place. The Chicken Biryani taste was excellent, and also we ordered vegetable curry, which was good 👍.

We were visiting Myrtle beach and wanted to have Indian food, so we ordered from here but the taste was not so good . We ordered malai kofta, chicken biryani and veg pakora. Pakoras were not done properly and not crispy. Biryani was very very dry with small pieces of chicken. Malai kofta not that good to taste.

Not an authentic Indian taste, but much better than other Indian restaurants for sure. Taste is I guess catered to for American taste buds

Please do not put Biryani in your menu if you do not understand difference between green peas pulav and veg. Biryani.

Overall food was good. We had Hyderabad curry, navratna korma both were tasty. Chilli paneer was good wasn’t great. Butter chicken was typical american style butter chicken little sweet.

This little gem is tucked away behind the Dollar Tree and Foxy Lady off of Kings Hwy. The restaurant wasn't busy at all for a Saturday afternoon, so my friend and I were given a table quickly. The place was clean and I liked the ambiance. Our Waiter, Lucky, was running the place by himself and did a great job at it. He was very patient with us as we decided on what to order. It's best to order from the signature dish menu, there you get free naan. Which was delicious. The portion sizes were small ( especially for the price). I really wish they would give you more rice. My order came with a side salad and I was automatically given ranch, even though I never asked for it. I didn't bother to correct him. I enjoyed the fried veggie balls for my appetizer and I would come back.

Went here with family and friends and the food was good. We had kashmiri sauce chicken and Hyderabadi curry chicken both were good. The paneer Tikka masala tasted good but they somehow mixed chicken piece to it which was not a big deal breaker for the person who ordered it as they do eat non vegetarian on other days but could be a problem for pure vegetarian folks. They compensated for it by giving us a new plate of the paneer Tikka masala. The Mango Lassi could have been better, tasted more like a mango milk shake and not Lassi.

Visited it yesterday and the food was not good at all, dishes had dust and hair on it, and prices were too high with a 18% tip included, definitely not worth it!

The food was authentically good. The Old Monk beer is Very good and very powerful. I hadn't figured out why the waiter assumed i wanted ranch dressing on my salad. Maybe a southern thing. I told him about it and he gave me the Indian dressing, which is what I wanted.The authentic indian experience very good. overall a good place

We ordered delivery so we can’t review the atmosphere. The person that delivered was very friendly! My wife had the chicken biryani and I had the buttered chicken makhani. Both were absolutely delicious and delivered piping hot. The biryani had a kick but not too hot. The wife gave the heat a 2 out of 5. Large portion, enough for leftovers! The buttered chicken was very mild but super flavorful! I don’t like heat so that was perfect! We also had the vegetable pakoras which were very delicious! Over all one of the top Indian restaurants I’ve ordered from! I highly recommend!

Really good place for Indian fare in the Myrtle beach area. The food is delicious and not too spicy. For me, it could have had a little more heat. (I really enjoy super hot food) The atmosphere is very chill. This was my 2nd visit for lunch. Both times, there may have been 2 or 3 other tables sat. Chana masala veg samosas, garlic naan and one of the Indian beers. VERY TASTY!

We ordered chicken biryani and tandoori chicken platter for takeout. Food tasted good. Felt a bit pricey for the quantity but the place is very clean and good atmosphere. Also they gave 10% offer for takeout.

Love this place. Malai Kofta is the best, order it, you won't regret it. You can pick your heat for your dish. They serve a delicious Indian beer called Hayward 500. Staff is on top of everything. We've been going once a week. ❤️

Updated 1/2024: Returned with another couple who hadn't tried Indian food before. Great success. Food and service were great. Heat level is not high, ask for a hotter version than you would normally order. My wife and I often eat Indian food, love it, and this was the first Indian food we have eaten in Myrtle Beach. The food was really great here. The amount of meat in each dish exceeded most other Indian restaurants we've eaten at which give less food and more sauce. "Hot" wasn't hot at all so if you like it spicy ask for something hotter. My only complaint was that the floor was sticky to walk across.

Could be better, we ordered two dishes that looked the same, brown, lots of sauce, little taste. I’ve eaten at Indian Restaurants around the world and was disappointed. If your an Indian food concessioner, then maybe consider one of the other options in town.

I loved it we went there as a family of 6 and the food was great took little bit longer then what they told us but it was worth it but what disappointed me that after we finished the food and we was waiting for dessert the table had rice all over it and they brought the dessert without cleaning the table which made us not feel comfortable eating the dessert but overall i will definitely go back but if it happens again i won't go anymore because im picky

Ordered takeout lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Goat vindaloo, rice and naan bread all come together as a package . The restaurant is beautiful with authentic Punjabi music playing

This used to be my favorite Indian restaurant, but it's under new own- ership, and the taste just isn't what it was. Garlic Naan used to be the best I ever had, but now it's like a cracker.

My wife and I decided to eat here tonight and we are glad we did. The service was good, and the food was delicious. I got a goat biryani and my wife the butter shrimp. Both were superbly seasoned and well prepared. We will be returning whenever we come to vacation at Myrtle Beach.
