Very nice food, amazing service

Jalpa was a super women. Food was awesome. She was very patient even in 90 degree weather. Service from the whole team was very good. could not have asked for more. Definitely recommended them.

Great Vada pav , Dabeli and Cut Mirchi! Chaas and sugar cane juice were pretty legit too!

A great little hidden gem in the farmers market in new castle. The food served here really is authentic and gives that Greta taste of back home. The staff are super friendly and the service is amazing. Definitely check them out this place when you’re roaming the market for a quick bit!

I come to this farmers market every single weekend without fail. This is the one place I refuse to step food inside ever again. Tried their food 3 times, first time the food was stale. Second time was the same thing again. Third time after a long time avoiding this place I gave into my cravings of wanting chole bhutare, despite my iffy feelings about this place. Guess what? My friend and I both got FOOD POISONING. We had a trip to go on, but instead got sick. It was horrible. And we are a 100% certain it was this place since we had nothing else to eat the rest of the day from the nausea. Highly disappointing. And gross. Ruined the trip for us. Genuinely don’t understand how or why people eat here.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt compelled to leave one here because the food was absolutely delicious. Tried the pav bhaji, paneer kati roll, masala dosa, and Bombay sandwich. Also that green chutney should be illegal because it’s unbelievably good. It’s kind of a maze getting to the location in the market but the adventure is worth it.

As a person who was desperately looking for good Indian food, I found this place to be a heaven. The staff are very polite. Everything is created when ordered, so it’s fresh and hot. Lucky, that I found this place so randomly. The food is obviously masaaledar.

The food was really good and there were many options. Service was very great and they were quick with making the dosa and were organized!

This restaurant in New Castle Farmers Market. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful to explain everything on the menu! It is a vegetarian Indian restaurant where you don’t mess the meat!!! I got chick pea curry with rice and a Samosa. Plenty food 🍱 and fresh to order.

Nestled inside the farmers Market, Run by an elderly couple that make very authentic Food.

This is a hidden gem! The food was so delicious and authentic. We are vegan and they made thoughtful accommodations for us. The service was exceptional!

Decent place to have chat masala dishes and breakfast. Recommended.

We tried their Pani Poori and Chole Bature . Pani poori was too spicy which they did say while ordering but I never thought or had so much spicy one in atleast 5 to 10 years. Chole Bature was also not upto the mark it was too much extra Oily.

This may be the only place in Delaware that serves usal/misal, a lentil and tamarind based thick gravy topped with cilantro, onions and other crunchy items. You have it with bread (paav). Very popular in western parts of India, and not easy to find, at least in Delaware. The food is fantastic, lots of vegetarian options (they don't serve meat), and make even the most tasty food (like daabeli) tastier! Highly recommended!

Placed an order for pickup. Once I get there they say "ready in 2 minutes" I come back after 5 minutes and he says "yes your order is ready, im making now" I dont even care that the order is late, but not making any sense at all is annoying. Whats even more annoying is the Idli was the frozen one! same idli that you get at the Indian grocery store and heat up in the microwave. Their sandwich was good, I saw some nice pictures of thalis they serve. I recommend avoiding the idli and trying something they cook themselves. Seems like a nice restaurant run by nana & nani vibes. But I wont be coming back.

Ordered appetizers for a party. Everything was delicious! The owner gave me menu tasting, helped set the menu, and importantly, had the order ready on time. Our guests enjoyed all the appetizers...thanks to Masala Kitchen!

When you're stuck in traffic and hungry in Delaware, fear not! There's a farmer's market that has an Indian restaurant tucked in the back. All vegetarian all the time... I got the curry of the day, which was made with black lentils - one of my faves. Huz got the paneer tikka pizza... when they say mild, to me - it was medium... but the spices were savory not necessarily just hot. I was very happy to have a truly vegetarian option for lunch.

Food taste was decent. I would have said great if it wasn't for how unhygienic the place is and the plates and serving was very unhygienic. Onions in our chaat were probably from last night as they tasted stale. Would never go here again

Stopped by today for the first time on a whim just to try something new. Really amazing service, and very clean inside. The owner walked me thru the menu and made suggestions as I was open to anything. Great portion for the price and everything was delicious!

Firstly, its sad that this place is not open everyday because it is inside the farmers market which is open from Thursday to Sunday only. We have ordered Chaat platter and Pav Bhaaji. Pav bhaaji is damn good. It felt so authentic. Chaat platter is tasty too. I just felt that the poori's are not very fresh. I would definitely go back to try more items. The service is quick enough and staff is courteous. Note: On Thursdays, the restaurant is open for delivery only. Update: It didn't live up to the standard it set the next couple of items we went there. It felt like the items were made by a different chef and it is not to our liking.

Their food is soooo good! I've ordered twice through GrubHub and both times the food was fresh and nicely packaged. I ordered Thali - mild. It is like a perfect little sampler platter of savory and sweet. Now that I realize they are in the Farmer's Market, I'll be taking a trek in to try more of their menu.

You don’t have to be a vegetarian to love this restaurant. Hidden away in the south side of New Castle farmers market. Don’t pass them by; get an adventure for your taste buds. My family lived in India; we know good food when we find it. We have eaten here multiple times and never been disappointed. Don’t forget some Samosas to go!

This place is kinda hard to find as it's inside a farmer's market (by gate 5) behind the clothing shop. Plenty of room to sit. the food is freshly made upon order and is delicious. You can find several street favorites for very reasonable prices.

Food quality has drastically reduced. Pav on Vadapav was old. Sambhar in Dosa was I suppose ready made and black. Filling in Puff was again black and with lot of spices. And on top of that I got my 3 items after multiple reminders in an empty restaurant. Very bad experience. Won't come again.

My wife is south Indian and her parents mentioned Masala Kitchen when we said we were going to the farmers market. Devendra was super awesome! He went above and beyond to explain dishes to patrons, he has a little food display to help him, and he even tell over to an adjustment restaurant to get some ice when we asked! Then let's talk food. The food was excellent and authentic! We got some basic snacks - idli, fried peppers, and samosa pav. I didn't even know you get it pav but it was good. I hate cilantro (stupid soap gene) and they make everything to order and could just take it out! We'll definitely come back.

Wow! I had vada pav, aloo paratha with chole/yoghurt and sugarcane juice - all of them were fresh and tasted just like home made food. This is a hidden gem inside the New Castle Farmer's market. I would truly recommend this place to anyone wanting to indulge on non-creamy, non-oily authentic indian food. Don't get fooled by the empty tables - it is because of the COVID situation. They seemed pretty busy fulfilling many takeout orders.

We did not eat here. Maybe the food is good, not sure. It's in a very funky location in the middle of a huge flea market. There was no one else inside when we went by so we decided it might be better to skip eating there.

Make sure you call the store before you start. This is not open Monday to Wednesday. This is a definite visit place if you are from India especially if you are Mumbai. Almost all famous Mumbai snacks are available here. Pav Balaji, Samosa Pav are awesome. The ambience is ok but the painting on the wall covering all famous Mumbai roads, famous names is a creative idea.

Such fresh food and awesome owners/staff! Highly recommend if looking for a quick, casual, yet quality meal with the family.

An underrated place! We loved the food. One of the few places serving Mumbai style fast food. A must if you're craving for it.

Glad to know that there is somewhere that I can grab food for hubby will actually eat. I only suggest simplifying the ordering process so that I don't feel as if Im being overcharged.

Best restaurant to have indian vegetarian food

Delicious Indian treats. The deconstructed samosa and tikki are SO TASTY! My only complaint is that this wonderful little gem is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Okay place to go if you didn't have a any other choice and needed some quick indian food. Bombay sandwich was tasteless. Vada Pau was okay. Prices on menu items are cheap. Located inside a sketchy looking flea market.

The food here is excellent and authentic in flavor, but modern in feel. We have a Gluten allergy in the family and they had many options as well as vegan and vegetarian options. We were craving good Indian food all week and this hit the spot.

Their vegetable pakoras blend all too well when I mix them with the curries that I cook. I am also looking forward to trying their samosas, and falafel. It is also nice that they offer vegan versions for a good number of their dishes. If they could transition from being vegetarian to fully vegan then I would be even more generous with my tips.

On a rainy and cold saturday night, my wife and I didnt feel like cooking so we opted to eat out. While browsing through local restaurants, we came across this vegetarian Indian restaurant. It was also located on a familiar place where we do our shopping for fresh vegetables inside New Castle Farmers Market. Upon entering the restaurant, we saw one employee sitting in the back. We picked up a menu and proceeded to sit down. Not sure how they conduct customer service, but it was quite non existent. Puzzled by the fact that the employee didnt move from his seat in the back, we went to the empty register to order. Only then did he decide to get up. We ordered samosa, vegetable puff and two entrees along with mango juice and mango lasse. He gave us a number and told us the kitchen would call our number when ready. After several minutes, the kitchen called our number, but it was only for our vegetable puff. I proceeded to get up myself and grab the tray. Several minutes later, the samosas were done. Again, I got up to get a tray from the kitchen. At this moment, I realized the gentleman wasn't there to serve us. He never even told us where to get our drinks. I found our mango drinks in the fridge and got them myself. Next, one of our entrees was called up. Again, I went to the kitchen to retrieve it. At this time, it was getting "busier." By that, I mean three additional tables. We were the first ones there around 630pm. As our final entree got called, the gentleman finally brings us our food. I guess one out of four trays isn't bad...Food tasted quite good, but service is basically nonexistent. Not sure if that's the intention of the restaurant. Just feels weird placing an order and going to the kitchen window myself to retrieve my order.

Best Indian food around hands down. I have yet to find somewhere that makes a masala dosa as good as the one here. The family that owns and operates is also very friendly. There is also a location that is open during the week in Wilmington.

Feb 17 2019 visited with Svp. Ordered masala dosa, Bombay sandwich and chola bhatura. Mysore Masala dosa was spicy, the sambhar was delicious, good experience. Bombay sandwich was good as well. But, bhatura was undercooked and probably stale. We’ll visit again if we are in the area for the dosa and to explore other snacks.

One of my favorite place for the weekend quick Indian street food. Vada pav at this place is a must along with Pav Bhaji. These two items are highly recommended. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating of your request.

Absolutely delicious food! I had no idea this place was hiding in the Newcastle farmers market and I am so glad I found out about it! Wonderfully flavorful vegetarian food. The dishes had the right mix of spice, sweet, and sour. I had the food delivered and all of the crispy elements were still wonderfully crispy. Yum!!!

So as a vegan it is very difficult to find good vegan options in New Castle/Bear area but Masala Kitchen is delicious. I have only been once so far but after today's meal I definitely plan on returning. The food took a bit long to prepare but it was worth every second!

Great food every visit.. Great for chaat items and things originating from Mumbai or Gujarat.. Sev Puri, Dahi Puri, Pan Bhaji are must have.. if you in for spicy food, try their bhel puri.. No way this is a premium place so don’t expect any extraordinary service.. it’s in a farmers market so u know what to expect.. Said that - just look for great food and have good time..

Great place to have chat items. Never seen more than 5 sev Puris in one plate in a restaurant in us and the taste was great. Dabeli was mind boggling, MUST HAVE

This is one of the best south Indian restaurants I've been to. Owner was very kind, & polite. The location threw me off for a minute because the restaurant is inside a huge flea market type place, & restuarant is in the back. I promise it's there just keep walking towards back. I was so impressed with location after going because I could also buy exotic fruit at the market as well. The market with exotic fruit is up front on opposite side of building campared to restaurant. Authentic southern indian food & exotic fruit, & all in the same place. This place is a true gem.
