Excellent Chinese food. Best sesame chicken I’ve ever had.

Fantastic food and excellent service

None of us were Impressed by the food. The wonton soup was horrible. Serving size vs price was bad The crab Rangoon was hard I personally do not recommend it.

The service was impressive, everyone was super nice and made fun little jokes. The food was good. What I ordered didn't really suit my tastes, but I think it was pretty standard for most Chinese restaurants in the US.

Me and my family had been traveling around Colorado for about a week and this location was the highlight of our trip! Best sweet and sour pork we've EVER had, really good options for all types of diets (I keep kosher and veggie centric- tons of options for me), and weirdly enough the water was the best we've had too. Service was actually awesome, our servers were super nice and genuinely funny (one woman once she found out we were visiting from Oklahoma did a nearly spot on impression of my grandma... how'd she know?). All in all GREAT‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ GO!!!!!!!

Unexpectedly good Chinese food.

Flavor and spice were great in the Kung Pao vegetables, though the dish was heavy on the onions and celery, having only one piece of zucchini. Service excellent.

Our party arrived during the lunch hour. I believe our server's name was Fernando. We loved his comical character from the beginning. He kept us laughing. We had the following appetizers; fried prawns, BBQ pork, and the pan-fried dumplings. The dumplings were very thick but tasty. All of us had the $10.95 lunch specials; Peking Shrimp, Sweet and Sour Pork, Kung Pao Chichen, and Orange Chicken. The portions are plentiful. If you are in the mood for Chinese, I recommend giving them a try.

We ordered soup (chicken and veggie), both this was simply not edible: it tasted like barley with chlor flavour - I never had a worse soup in my entire life: no salt, no spices, no herbs, no no-thing! Main dish was okayish, the steamed rice was cold and boring and salt-free.

I went to this place when I was 14. 25 years later I tried it again and I was shocked at how good the Chinese food was. Well I haven't been to China, unlike my boyfriend who had dinner with me I reminisced of some of the best experiences I've had in Southern California or San Francisco. The food was that good, the owner was working hard in her own business and everything was perfect. I regret not frequenting this establishment for the last 20 years. Looking forward to going back the next time I'm in Durango

Possibly the worst food i've ever eaten. Totally tasteless. Overcooked . The fried dumplings were doughy and tough. The main courses were horrible.

We enjoyed everything about this place! Absolutely wonderful, authentic food and the staff were so sweet and friendly! They accommodated 10 of us, including an 11 month old. We will definitely come back every time we’re in Durango!

May Palace is the best Chinese place. Everything that we have had has been great. The lunch meal is very reasonably priced.

I was just there a few days ago. Fantastic food... and there lunch special is a great deal with large portions 😋. You have to go!

Visiting Durango with my parents. We started with the wontons for an appetizer. We had chicken curry, Shrimp/Veggies and chicken/veggies (I can’t remember the names of the dishes). Everything was great. The vegetable were cooked perfect. Thanks for a nice evening.

Delicious and fresh food. If you like it spicy, then I would recommend requesting it that way. The sesame chicken had great flavor, but was not spicy at all. Next time I’m asking for 3 level spice. The egg flower soup was delicious. My brother ordered the eggplant Szechuan, could’ve used more heat, but the flavors were great! Definitely a Chinese restaurant that rises above being bland and sweet. We’ll go back for sure and request more “heat” on our orders.

We have enjoyed May Palace’s lunch specials and have gone back 3 times in the last month. The entire staff is pleasant, food is served hot and the value of their lunch specials can’t be beat. We would highly recommend May Palace.

We’ve eaten here twice and absolutely love the food! It’s seriously some of the best Chinese food we’ve had! We go to Durango a few times a year, heading there now, and now that we’ve founds May’s it is a place we will eat at every time we go to Durango! ❤️

Driving on Main Street and my wife and I decided to stop in for lunch. Friendly staff, fast service, great tasting food and amazing prices! Definitely recommended!

Great food and service, food was fast.. atmosphere is a bit odd. But I think that's just the business growing, and trying to stuff it all into a busy room with a ton of people enjoying the food. Will be back for more.

Always super delicious and accommodating to our big family. Kids had a good time and actually finished their food. It’s a very family oriented place which was comforting when my 1 year old was just being a 1 year old. Clean restrooms was also a plus!

We travel a lot and eat Chinese wherever we go. The best Egg Foo Yung my husband has ever eaten. The rice was very good and the Orange Chicken was Fabulous! The service was great and we loved the clean calm atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Highly recommend and a MUST stop while in Durango!!

Fast but pretty mediocre. We stopped in for the lunch special. The eggdrop soup was good and everything else was really just passable.

Ventured back into downtown Durango on the last night of our vacation and as we walked by Mays Palace, our girls begged for Chinese food. We were greeted by the friendliest, most attentive staff and the food was fantastic. We split 2 appetizers & 2 entrees and couldn't quite finish it (the portions are huge and very reasonably priced). We spent some time visiting with the owner who is an absolute gem. When we told her we were from Southeast Texas, she mentioned that she went to the university where I teach. It really is a small world!

We had lunch here today (beef with broccoli and shrimp with lobster sauce) and the food was trash. Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen but the food was not good and the service was also subpar. We’ve been here several times before and the food is normally good but today it wasn’t and we won’t be returning customers.

Got takeout. Friendly service. Peking Shrimp was tasty, but Kung Pao Beef was bad. Didn't taste like Kung Pao at all. Do not order KP here.

What a sweet, quaint place to grab some Chinese food. Right in the middle of downtown Durango!! The staff is out of this world GREAT, funny and attentive. This place knows customer service and knows how to serve good food at a very reasonable price...at least the lunch menu was beyond reasonable. Portions were just right.

The best Chicken Lo Mein, while doing some carpentry work at 901 Main. The Noodles are perfectly cooked, El Dente. I ate Chix Lo everyday except Tuesdays, when they are closed.

We weren't sure about eating here, as the reviews were rather mixed, but many restaurants in Durango were quite expensive and so we decided to give it a go. We really enjoyed our food and were very disappointed when we returned the next day to find that it was closed for 'essential maintenance'.

Excellent choice for Chinese food in Durango. The portions were of good size and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the orange chicken, which was the best either of us has had anywhere. We also got the sweet and sour pork, as well as treasures of the sea with hot and sour soup, and the lo mein noodles. All of the dishes were excellent, it was done quickly, and the staff were friendly and competent. We will definitely be coming back here for years to come. Utterly delicious!

This place.... is insane! So yummy! Every time we come to Durango, we must stop in here and eat! The owner makes the food and sauces from scratch! The best we have ever had! We love this resturant! Fast and friendly service. Great pricing for the amount of food you get. I got the sweet and sour chicken, pork and shrimp and nothing was over cooked or rubbery tasting. Loved it all!

Best Chinese food for the price in Durango. Every single staff member is kind and professional. I've been eating here twice a week for more than a year now and have had not a single bad experience. Everything I have ordered here has been delicious, almost too good.

Four of us went to the May Palace for lunch and everyone was thrilled. We all ordered different lunch specials. All were $9.95. I had the Walnut Chicken which was fabulous. The place is nothing fancy but every clean with excellent service. The FOOD was ALL OUTSTANDING. I would urge anyone in Durango for a few days to definitely go for lunch at the May Palace.

THE best Chinese food in town. Made with love. Decent prices. Large portions. Always clean. Always very welcoming. Been coming here for almost 25 years. Don't live in Dgo anymore but this is our first stop when we come to visit. Love it.

Complete slop. Everything tasted the same, and not a good taste. Totally unauthentic.

Crab Rangoon were a little small but tasted great. Moo shoo beef was AWESOME!!! You can tell food is homemade and not out of a can.

When I was in college, I ate here frequently. I love all of their items, especially the almond chicken. My friend also got lychee when it was his birthday, and he loved it. I’m definitely coming back when I return to Durango.

Super yummy food! The service was very good. The food got to us fast, and it was delicious. We got Beef Fried Rice, Egg Drop Soup, Chow Mein, and an Eggplant Dish. The fried rice was plentiful, with a great balance of rice to meat to vegetables. The egg drop soup was great. It was a little bland but had a big serving and many veggies and eggs. The chow main was all of our favorites with flavorful sauce, noodles, and veggies. We didn't finish all of it, so we had takeout boxes and got a fortune cookie at the end. This is an amazing place to stop by and eat when in downtown Durango.

Wonderful restaurant! My family and I had the pleasure of dining here this evening and we all were very impressed. The service was fantastic and friendly and the food was amazing. The value was great for the portions received. This family establishment is a MUST GO when you're in Durango.

Horrible food. 3 ribs for $9, came some nasty sauce on them, ate half a rib, threw out the rest. Pan fried dumplings were also indelible, dried out, stale tasting with some bad mystery meat inside. The white rice tasted days old. Won ton soup was tasteless dish water, yuk. No idea how this place gets reviews, I'll never go back.

I want to start off by saying we love to eat here. Great food, love the soups, and the people are very friendly. We order take out and the menu online said the family dinner was $12.95 pp and when we got there to pick up our food and pay the price was 18.95 pp. Huge difference than what we budget for. They said that was the old price. What was very upsetting is they would not honor the online price. I told them that was False Advertising‼️
